Title: The War Room

Padmé - January 9, 2007 01:10 PM (GMT)
This room is the most important when Rebel fighters are engaged in celetrial combat.

Jin-ho - August 8, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)
[Residences]

- "Jin-ho, reporting in..."

She carefully walked into the room, tapping her knuckles against the metal a few times to announce she was here. It may not have sounded like much, but it was something at least. She popped her head through the doorway, looking left and right to see if Leia was here, then decided to simply walk in as she always would.

Ayanna Nyx - August 8, 2007 09:01 PM (GMT)
Leia walked over to her, greeting her with a smile and a friendly hug.

"Jin-Ho, it's been so long since we last met..... I hear your training is going extremely well..... And it's actually that which has lead me to seek your help once again...... We have recently discovered that one of our spies was in actuality a spy sent by the Imperial Forces.... We're always so careful, but it seems we're never careful enough...... This spy was last seen entering the Tatooine system, we tried to capture him but in this, he crash landed in the deserts there..... He holds valuable information, most importantly being the location of this base.... Our fate depends greatly on this.... We need to stop him from getting to the Imperial outposts on Tatooine...... I want you to take on this mission for us Jin-Ho, as someone I trust..... Your job is to locate him, and capture him, but if necessary, you must kill him and reclaim all of his belongings, anything that could lead the Empire back to us.... But we're hoping it doesn't get that far.... If you are able to capture him then bring him back here and we will keep him as a prisoner..... Do you have any questions?"

Jin-ho - August 8, 2007 09:13 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho returned the hug, having gotten used to Leia's friendlyness despite her station. She listened to the mission details the Princess had been giving her, thinking the information through. Tatooine... She had never been there before, though what she had heard about the system made it appear as if that was a good thing. Definitely a place to watch her back in, as some of the residents were rumored to be able to smell money -- or a potential kidnapping mark -- a mile off. Still, there was something else that was troubling her.

- "Umm... The information the spy has is about you, isn't it? I mean, it's the only reason i can think of why you'd be here in person instead of leaving it to Mon Mothma to tell me..."

Ayanna Nyx - August 8, 2007 09:20 PM (GMT)
"It's information concerning our plans, planned attacks against the Empire, and yes, the location of this base..... It is extremely important..... So much is at stake with this......" Leia seemed deeply worried indeed, trying to hold herself together, "I would go after the man myself, but sadly my duties take me elsewhere..... Will you help us?" She said, pleading with her eyes.

Jin-ho - August 8, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho laughed when she noticed the pleading look in Leia's eyes. While the mission she was offering her was indeed a very important one, and certainly no laughing matter in regular circumstances, the red haired girl simply couldn't help herself this time.

- "Oh come on, don't give me the pleading look... You know i'll accept anyway just for knowing how important this is to you."

Remembering something all of a sudden, she searched her pockets for something. She eventually managed to dig up a plastified card of some kind, looking fairly new, which she showed at the Princess.

- "Oh, and just in case you think i've been doing nothing here... Lookie. I got my piloting license a few days ago." ;)

Ayanna Nyx - August 8, 2007 09:45 PM (GMT)
"Oh don't worry, I know how well you've been doing.... I often ask for updates on your progress.... Well, all I can do is thank you in advance for doing this for us..... We have acquired a shuttle which you can use... There is also a holding area where you can place the target in question.... He went here by the name of Stogal Karn..... But it is likely that was his alias..... But still, you should know it in case it is not...... Good luck to you Jin-Ho..... Contact us as soon as you have found the target......" Leia turned and walked to Mon Mothma who was discussing at the other end of the chamber.

Jin-ho - August 8, 2007 10:16 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho grinned, already having expected the answer Leia gave her. She saw the two of them as being pretty close friends, yet it nevertheless made her feel better to know there was someone looking out for her where she was now.

- "Stogal Karn... The name doesn't ring a bell, do you have a description of what he looks like?"

Jin-ho bit her lip as she went over what she did know. The man she needed to go after was a fully trained spy, a double agent, even. There was no doubt who'd be the stealthier person between the two of them, which meant she had to rely on the element of surprise. It was the things he'd have learned to prevent being tailed that worried her.

Ayanna Nyx - August 8, 2007 10:37 PM (GMT)
Leia turned to face her, "Sadly we do not hold any records, all I can say is that he had dusty blonde hair and brown eyes. He was only around 20 I think...... I can't say much more than that..... Look for the crashed craft he was in..... Then seek him out from there....."

Jin-ho - August 8, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded, taking a deep breath. This mission was going to be harder than the one on Kamino, mostly because the target didn't want to be found. Walking a few paces to the central database computer, she looked up the information about the Tatooine desert, the animals that lived there, the plants, all from a factual point of view based on survival. She knew the spy to have had access to this kind of information as well, and she'd have to assume he had it all memorised.

- "Hmm... If he crashed, these... Tuskans? Tuskens? are likely to be the first ones to find him. I'd have to deal with them regardless if i'm going to cross their lands, how do they stand in terms of allegiances?"

Ayanna Nyx - August 8, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT)
"Allegiances? The Tuskens look out for their own affairs, they are too savage and brutal to care for anything other than themselves.... If they found him then it is likely that they would have captured him and sell him into slavery, if they got that far...... But personally I do not think he will be captured by them... He was heavily armed, and that will be enough to sway them off..... That's something you should remember also in this mission...... Trust no one..... Investigate everything....."

Jin-ho - August 8, 2007 11:47 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho thought for a moment longer. From what she could gather from the screen, the only two races that were native to the desert were the Jawas and the Tuskens, And if she couldn't rely on the latter...

- "And what about the Jawas then? I mean, i'm fairly ignorant when it comes to deserts, and most of everything i know about them is based on what i just looked up. Still, i'd need at least someone knowing his way around a desert, or i might as well be flying circles with an X-Wing trying to spot him from up there."

She looked at the temperature forecast again. One sandstorm, and all of the landmarks she would have would be completely changed again, perhaps even going as far as to make her lose her ship and become food for the banthas, so to speak.

Ayanna Nyx - August 9, 2007 08:08 PM (GMT)
"Well the Jawas can be helpful, they certainly shouldn't cause you any trouble..... But I would offer a few credits to ensure their information was genuine....... Take some supplies with you, especially water..... You can never tell how long you will be there for, and it is a remote world to be sure....." Leia warned Jin-Ho.

Jin-ho - August 9, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded, downloading all the information she could find on both Jawas and Tuskens to a holo-disc. With the two races making up the only sentient beings that were native in the desert, she'd need to do her homework in case she'd meet up with either of them.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to think of a plan, preferably one that wouldn't get her killed. Which was harder than she'd have wanted herself to believe, given that she'd have no terrain advantage whatsoever -- more the opposite, actually --, there was a distinct chance of being outclassed and outgunned, and, most importantly, no idea of her target's current location and heading.

- "Oookay... So, i'll be needing a map showing sandstorm shelters and places with water as well as known Tusken and Jawa settlements to keep me from running into them by accident, a communicator that's easy to be concealed that i can use in case of an emergency and a non-electronic compass to keep the sand from shorting it out. Oh, and one of those robes to keep my skin from cooking off... And water, agreed."

She looked back at Leia after thinking the list of stuff she'd need out loud. Out of everything, she knew she'd be needing the communicator the most, both to have access to some aereal reconnaisance, a stable supply of water and supplies to keep those from slowing her down and an 'emergency exit' option.

- "Also, i'd need to borrow one of your pilots for the duration, since parking a usable ship in the desert... may not be a good idea when there's a guy in there that wants to leave badly."

Ayanna Nyx - August 9, 2007 11:58 PM (GMT)
"You can have whatever you wish..... Download a map from the nearest terminal, and if you need a pilot, then I'm sure there must be one who is off duty at the moment who would be happy to help you.... Go to the hangers and check it out....." Leia informed her.

Jin-ho - August 12, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
After a brief pause, Jin-ho thanked Leia before leaving the room. The problem was, she needed someone that was both capable at piloting as well as giving her more than decent support for ground combat. As the Rebels went through specialised training that meant it was either one or the other, but only rarely both.

Still, she had thought of contacting Captain Antilles. Knowing him, there was bound to be someone under his command that was capable of both, and she'd definitely be needing someone who was familiar with protecting people... like herself.

Heading over to a secure terminal -- even though all terminals were only capable of such, and for obvious reasons -- she punched in a number, trying to contact Captain Antilles...

[In the Void of the Crowd]

Jin-ho - August 31, 2007 11:12 PM (GMT)
[In the Void of the Crowd]

Almost directly after landing, Jin-ho had set a fast pace to the War Room, only pausing to remove her flight suit. Wearing armor and several layers of clothing in a jungle was hot enough without an insulated flight suit designed for space combat on top of it. Still, she had managed to get special clearance for this mission, which meant it would take none other than someone with clearance levels near those of Mon Mothma or Princess Leia themselves to override and unlock it.

Still, it didn't take her long to reach the room, due to her familiarity with the layout of the base. Add to that that the War Room was the one place in it that she had visited almost as often as her own quarters, and it was easy to understand how she had reached her destination in a matter of minutes. She peeked inside, looking to see if there was anyone she knew present -- or, more importantly, another briefing in progress.

- "Umm... i'm back. Anyone here?"

Ayanna Nyx - September 1, 2007 05:06 PM (GMT)
Mon Mothma was the only one to approach Jin-Ho, which was somewhat of an honour. She was the next in command after Bail Organa in the Rebel Alliance.

"Jin-Ho, I'm glad to see you have returned safely.... What is the status of your mission? I'm assuming that one way or another, there is nothing left for you to do.... Were you successful?"

Jin-ho - September 1, 2007 06:34 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded, fishing out the documents from behind her armor. Some of the documents had fallen apart during the trip, resulting in a number of crunched papers that seemed to have slid into several hard to reach places, but she ultimately managed to fish everything out, including the holodiscs she had found as well as the receipt for three hundred and fifty gallons of Selonian water.

- "Yeah, that's all of it. The spy is... dead, shot himself rather than to surrender, i brought his body back too just in case. It's... in the storage hold, cleared for umm... About as high as i could make it."

She was still feeling partially in a daze, not yet having her mind set back on track after the barrage of events that had taken place on Tatooine's surface. All she had had her mind on was to return to the Rebel Base to give her report, and now that she had done that, she was a bit unsure on what she should be doing next.

Ayanna Nyx - September 1, 2007 07:28 PM (GMT)
"Excellent, you've done well... We will take his body.... I'm afraid the Princess is no longer here at the moment, she is back on Alderaan.... But I will help you....... Hopefully the man you killed was unable to make any sort of contact to the Imperials..... I guess it is something we will learn only in time, but it is highly unlikely that he was able to..... For now, you are to rest Jin-Ho.... That was a difficult mission..... But for a reward, I am giving you 2,500 Credits, and also, take these.... They are fine blasters, and you seem to know how to use them well...... Also.... I am now promoting you as Sergeant of Intelligence..... If you wish to accept the job..... With this you will help us gather Imperial data and information.... Together you will work with a team of 4 of our spies...... It will be dangerous work, but very rewarding, not only for you, but for the Alliance...... You do not have to answer straight away..... You can rest and think about it, we all know that you've earned it...." Mon Mothma spoke.

Jin-ho - September 1, 2007 07:39 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded absently again, feeling as if her mind was running to catch up to her body. She heard herself say something about going back to her room to take a shower and some rest, something she felt she could really use after the sweatfest in the middle of the desert.

- "Uhh... sure. I'll let you know in a few days... i guess..."

Clearing her throat, she looked around, and gave a shaky bow to Mon Mothma before heading off to the Residential Area of the temples again.

Jin-ho - September 2, 2007 11:57 PM (GMT)
It had taken a few days for Jin-ho to recover, both physically and emotionally, from the events that had taken place on Tatooine. Though she knew she had been less terrified thinking of what could go wrong as when she had taken her first mission to Kamino, this was the first time she had actually seen someone die.

She looked at the dual guns she had been given as part of the mission reward, and took a deep breath, realising that one day, she too would be shooting at something other than training holograms. She had shot someone before, the lone Sith back on Alderaan, but she had known her guns to be on stun setting, and she had been driven by panic more than conscious thought at the time.

Putting the guns back under her coat, she walked out of her quarters and to the War Room, where she knew Mon Mothma would be waiting on her answer whether or not she was going to accept the promotion she had been offered, and wondered if another mission lied in wait for her.

More out of habit than anything, she knocked on the metal doors before realising the ones inside wouldn't be able to hear her, and looked for a small console with which to open the doors.

Ayanna Nyx - September 3, 2007 02:27 PM (GMT)
Mon Mothma greeted Jin-Ho as she walked her from the door and further into the war room.

"I trust you had a good rest...... Have you come to a decision about your promotion? I know it is a lot to take on but I and the Princess have the highest confidence in you...."

Jin-ho - September 3, 2007 05:16 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho took a deep breath, holding it in for a second as she steeled her own confidence. As she exhaled, she nodded at Mon Mothma, giving her the answer she had been waiting for.

- "...Yeah, i'll accept it. So umm... What am i supposed to do now? As per the job description, i mean?" ^^;

She looked at the older woman in front of her, a bit unsure what she was supposed to do now. Or what title to actually call her, as a matter of fact. She had never been one to use titles, more often than not choosing her words so that she didn't have to, nor did she expect it from others. As long as the hierarchy was known, she wouldn't be giving it much importance anyway.

Ayanna Nyx - September 4, 2007 04:59 PM (GMT)
"Well you will now operate with a task force, nothing large, as I said maybe 3 or 4 people..... We need you to help us gain secret information about the Empire's doings.... We are in the middle of researching possible leads at the moment, once we have clarification, you will be sent on the mission, and it will be you that must lead the group..... You wage of course has increased now, we will pay you 1,000 credits per week.... I hope you are satisfied with that..... As for the moment, it would be best for you to train a little until we have more details and the plans are fully prepared for your mission..... I would focus on stealth, infiltration and most importantly.... Silence.... The ability to take down your enemy without alerting anyone else to your presence...." Mon Mothma explained, waiting to hear Jin-Ho's questions.

Jin-ho - September 4, 2007 06:31 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho took a deep breath, listening to the number of things that would be expected from her now. She scratched the back of her head as she looked around the room, before her look finally settled back on Mon Mothma again.

- "Umm... Yeah, i could use some additional training. However, could you please confirm i won't be sent on new assignments before i feel my skills are up to par? Not that i'm refusing or anything, it's just that i want to have something more besides luck that i can rely on..."

Her mind wandered back to the spy she had encountered, finding herself in much the sme position he had been. From the sound of it, she would be doing exactly what he had done to make her chase after him, and given that the man had ended up shooting himself to prevent capture... Let's just say she wanted to take it on the safe side for once.

Ayanna Nyx - September 4, 2007 06:40 PM (GMT)
"Of course you must feel comfortable with your skills before you are sent out on a project.... Train in what you can... Try to learn from everything we can offer here.... All of it will help you..... I cannot say for sure when we will be ready to act on our next mission, but if you are not confident then you do not have to worry about refusing it...." Mon Mothma explained, "The best thing for you to do now is enjoy your reward from the last mission and begin to better yourself.... You have proven to be a wonderful asset to the Rebel Alliance, we all expect great things from you, and we know you shall not disappoint....."

One of the Generals called to Mon Mothma as she spoke with Jin-Ho.

"I must go now.... Remember what I said, and do not be afraid to come and contact me if you need help.... Goodbye..." She spoke as she walked back to the General as they began to look over blueprints of Imperial Walkers.

Jin-ho - September 4, 2007 07:40 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho watched Mon Mothma go off, then decided to take a walk herself. Unlike the kind of walks she usually took to get her mind cleared up, this time she already knew what her destination would be. Back when she had first started Pathfinder training, she had been confronted with the two Sith, Kalin and Ayanna, who had then taken her back to Alderaan. Now, with the entire mess cleared up again, Pathfinder Training would be as good a way as any to get herself back on track again.

She'd still take the long way there though, she had heard of a couple of places in the Base that had wonderful views of the Jungle, and of course there were the locations her rank authorised her access to... :P

[Pathfinder Training]

Jin-ho - September 26, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
[Pathfinder Training]

- "...Yup, already on my way over... There now, actually."

Jin-ho ended the comlink transmission at the moment she walked into the room, folding the device in two again with a soft click. Thanks to her training, she only needed a few seconds to spot Mon Mothma, and wasted little time in walking over to her to hear why she had wanted to call on her.

- "Hey, heard you needed to talk to me about something?" ^_^

Ayanna Nyx - October 2, 2007 02:40 PM (GMT)
"Thank you for coming along so quickly.... I have a proposition for you.... You do not have to accept it but I would greatly appreciate it if you would.... There is no one else that would be capable of the job who is not already on another assignment... Sadly our numbers are rather limited.... We also have a shortage of R2 units which is the problem that I need you to help me with.... We need them for the navigation and systems management for our X-Wings...." She continued as they began to walk through the war room,

"The Empire seems to have anticipated our need. Word has come that R2 units are being impounded or strictly controlled all over the galaxy.... We have gained the access codes of an Imperial Storage facility on Corellia... What we want you to do is gather a team of 6, including yourself, to infiltrate that facility and board their transport vessel.... We know that they are taking a great number of R2 units to their Forces.... You will need to use your stealth skills.... Once the ship enters Hyperspace, subdue the crew as quickly and quietly as possible.... There should only be a handful that you would need to worry about... But they will be of security ranks so you'll have to watch yourself.... Once you have gained control of the ship.... Meet up with our transports at the designated area.... There will not be much time.... The Empire by this point will be aware of what has happened and most likely dispatch a high number of fights in pursuit.... Your job them, you and your team, will be to escort our transport with the X-wings that will be waiting for you, and take out those fighters and protect our vessel until it is safe to entire Hyperspace..... Use some of the R2 units you stole to help navigating your X-Wings.... I will improve your chances of success..... I know this sounds like a grueling task, but it is vital to the Alliance.... And there is no one else...." Mon Mothma said lowering her head.

Jin-ho - October 2, 2007 06:58 PM (GMT)
OOC: *Mission Impossible theme music starts playing* :P

IC:

Jin-ho listened to Mon Mothma, scratching the back of her head as she processed the information. From the sound of it, she'd be leading a team of people she probably never even met before on a dangerous mission, against a crew that was already expecting trouble in the first place. Had probably trained specifically against scenarios like the one she had been requested to go on just now, too.

- "Whoa... Well... who's going to be in the same team as me? I'd need a mechanic and a slicer... a disguise expert -- Clawdites are good at that, right? -- Oh, and a thief too! Umm... who else..."

Jin-ho's eyebrows shot up when she realised she was thinking out loud, and sweatdropped outright as she noticed who she was thinking out loud to. Given that she had been called, she already guessed that Mon Mothma would have done the same to the other team members given that she had named how many people were in it already. Feeling a bit embarrassed, she awaited Mon Mothma's reply to her 'shopping list'.

- "Heh... sorry about that. I'd need to train as a team first though, i need a basic impression to see what our chances are." ^^;

Ayanna Nyx - October 4, 2007 01:59 PM (GMT)
"Well you choose whichever team members you think would be up to the job.... You only have 2 days until the mission must proceed.... So I would select today and train immediately.... Once you and your team are acquired, you can come back here for debriefing...." Mon Mothma spoke as she turned and walked back towards one of the large projectors.

OOC: You can select 5 members and give them names and skills etc (Not Jedi/ Sith skills of course lol) You can play all characters for this mission only, so you can have some fun with it :) So try to make it interesting, rather than going on the easy path, they get there, got the droids, homerun! lol You can add more details, make it more difficult and interesting for your team, will give you more experience and better results ultimately :)

Jin-ho - October 4, 2007 04:55 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho winced at hearing she only had two days to select a team and prepare. Time was running short from the beginning, it seemed, and she really didn't know a lot of people on the Base just yet. Unless...

Heading to the intercom, she pushed a button on the console, activating the main intercom. Though she really hated pulling rank like this, given her current lack of time she really needed to work fast on this one.

- "Sergeant Xerxa, please report to the War Room. Sergeant Xerxa, to the War Room please."

She then waited on the older man to arrive, intending to take him up on the offer he had made earlier.

Ayanna Nyx - October 6, 2007 06:17 PM (GMT)
After a number of minutes, Xerxa hurried into the War Room.

He nodded as he looked to Jin-Ho, "You wanted to speak to me, M'Lady?" He couldn't help gaze around at the activity that was going on at this time. Clearly the Alliance was having a busy time, perhaps with new information concerning Imperial involvements.

Jin-ho - October 6, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho smiled and nodded, putting her hands in her sides as she looked at the older veteran. After looking around to make sure they were not overheard, the red haired girl explained the situation she found herself in at the moment.

- "You see, i'm being sent on a mission, and i need to put together a team. Since i'm still fairly new to this base, i was wondering if i could take you up on your offer and have you help me gather some people you think can handle a job like that."

She turned around, leaning against the wall next to where Xerxa was standing, taking a deep breath. Truth was, she knew what type of people she'd need, but the bio-files she had access to were just that -- bio-files. For all she knew she could end up with a team of 'lone wolves' and people not used to working in a random team, which would be doing more harm than good.

- "Since you've been in far more missions than i have, i could make you my second in command, if you want to come along that is. If not... well, i'd just ask for your help in putting together a good team without telling you any mission specifics." ^^;

Ayanna Nyx - October 6, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
Xerxa thought for a moment while rubbing his chin, "Well, that's a tough one.... Could you give me a rough idea of the mission.... You don't necessarily have to go into great details but just the most important tasks that will be at hand.... Then I will be able to help you with gathering the right people for the job I think...."

Jin-ho - October 6, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded, walking back to stand facing Xerxa again. No one was close enough to overhear, she noticed, a sign the perceptive training was paying off.

- "Well, i basically need to board and take control of a ship in flight. The crew's small, but security trained, and more than likely expecting trouble as it is, but i've got a plan that might work. I'd need people experienced with X-Wings either way, and beyond that... a team of specialists in various fields, i'd say."

She looked at Xerxa, biting her lip as she wondered whether or not he knew enough now to get a basic idea of whether or not he'd like to join. She certainly had done her best to avoid giving him specifics, though she really couldn't be all too open without knowing if he'd be joining her team or not.

Ayanna Nyx - October 6, 2007 07:12 PM (GMT)
"Well.... You will need to have those experienced in infiltration... Stealth.... Combat.... Piloting.... And more than just experience with X-Wings from the sound of it.... Considering I don't know the ship that is in question.... You will need at least one person who is experienced with flying more advanced ships than simple fighters..... Come with me...."

They began to make their way to the community area of the base, where people were standing around talking, or enjoying food or drink.

Xerxa pointed to one man,

"That's Dash..... I know he may look young but he's one of the best in his field with combat and infiltration exercises.... Stealth.... He's also good but could be better..... He's a good leader, but he also listens to orders..... You can rely on him...... And see that one over there? Coyl.... He's a wiz kid when it comes to piloting.... He was trained in the Imperial Academy..... I think he could even pilot an entire Star Destroyer on his own if he wanted to!" He laughed jokingly, "No but seriously, he has great knowledge in ships of all kind.... A passion of his...... Ah ha! Now that girl over there..... Shylo, she's fantastic with one to one combat, which is what I would recommend if you are saying that there would only be a small crew to deal with.... You don't want to get blasters involved unless completely necessary...... Those are the best three I can see here....... What do you think of them?" He asked.

Jin-ho - October 6, 2007 07:33 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho beamed a smile at Xerxa, clearly more than satisfied with the help he was giving. She made a mental note on who the people he pointed out were. She'd let them eat for now, there was always the intercom if she wouldn't be able to find them any more.

- "They're great, thanks! Oh and umm... I'd need a slicer too, and preferably someone with a history as a thief. If there's passwords or codes i'd need, i'd need someone to find them fast. I know that last one's a bit hard, but i'd appreciate it." :)

Ayanna Nyx - October 7, 2007 02:43 PM (GMT)
"Well there is one chap who may fit the bill..... He was not a thief but he was a smuggler.... Whether there is a difference, you'll have to judge for yourself...... He's seen action before.... But he can almost break any code that you can think of..... Ah there he is.... Ress....." The man he pointed to looked in his mid thirties and had a deep scar on his face. Clearly he'd been through a lot before joining the Alliance.
