Title: Resei's mission

lewy - October 18, 2008 03:13 PM (GMT)
Resei landed on Koribban once again. He had hoped never to see this planet again. Besides, something had just awoken inside him... A laughter echoed in his head, and it was creeping him out.
Nevertheless he put on his cloak and headed for the university.
He wondered how they would accept him?
He saw the guards approaching, and sighed. Here it came...

lewy - October 18, 2008 03:33 PM (GMT)
The laughter in his head was growing stronger now.
"That's harsh coming from a man who uses his face as toilet paper," he said flatly to the guard, but with a dark gleam not entirely belonging to him in his eyes.
"So I was gone. Am I not allowed to lead my life? And other's deaths... So what I had a bounty hunter, a wookie with a face to match yours," he added turned to the guard, "on my ass. So what if I wantet him dead? He'd been hiding around this planet for long enough with none of you wonderful guards doing anything. And why should I bother to show my loyalty when you are obviously not willing to trust me?"
Resei, somewhere in a corner of his mind, was screaming helplessly. Another person had taken over his body. A presense that grew stronger in a place where the force was flowing wildly. An evil presense in his mind.. And it was getting him into trouble.

Kalin Thalis - October 18, 2008 03:43 PM (GMT)
The master grinned at how Resei was talking to the guard. The guard was obviously angry at Resei's comments, but the master didn't care about that. He actually found it very amusing,

"Now now, children, let's behave shall we?!" He said to both the guard and Resei,

"Now I do have to tell you if you don't report when you leave and you come back, we have every reason to be suspicious... I don't care what reasons you think you have for leaving... You still report that you left the academy. So if you want to enter the academy you'll have to prove your worth again. It's that simple. Either you do this small 'rite of passage' and you're allowed back in or you can walk away..."

lewy - October 18, 2008 03:47 PM (GMT)
"Right, right. I suppose it's reasonable. I am glad to see that despite it's obvious flaws(and here he looked at guess who), we still have an up-and-going facility here! Now whom or what shall I kill? Which cave shall I journey through, which tomb shall I raid- or even better, you could send me out to hunt Jedi! Hahaha so many wonderful options..."
Resei was struggling for control again. It seemed he was winning, too, the other presense in his mind didn't bother to fight him anymore. It had had enough fun already it seemed.

Kalin Thalis - October 18, 2008 03:57 PM (GMT)
The master said, "I admire your optimism.... Now get inside and we'll get to the prison cells."

They all walked over to the prison cells, including the guard. The master stood before a Jedi Master, who wasn't in such a good condition.

"This is one of the Jedi, who survived the Kashyyyk massacre, I believe you know who was repsonsible for that, or have you really been away for that long?"

The master didn't wait for an answer and opened the cell, though the Jedi was still cuffed and couldn't act.

"Doesn't really matter... We healed him for most part, though he still has to get better from some wounds which he sustained during interrogation. Now he has not much useful to tell, so there's not much point keeping him alive."

The master grinned again in a sinister manner,

"So we'll have some fun." He said handing a lightsaber over to the Jedi. "We'll let you go Jedi, if you can defeat him!" He said lying, cause never in his life with this Jedi get out of here alive if it were up to him.

"And you are welcome back in the academy if you can kill him, Resei...."

The Jedi ignited the lightsaber and attacked Resei immediately not even aware he was using the Dark Side, because he was so desperate to survive this.

lewy - October 18, 2008 04:40 PM (GMT)
Resei arrogantly waited for the very last moment to pull out his lightsaber and block the slash.
He went a few rounds with the poorly bastard, parrying his strokes, to get a feel to his skills.
Then he started to test the man, suddenly attacking, from different angles, changing between nearly poking him to slashing brutally but never beyond control.
And then, in the moment he was about to really start fighting the man, who admittedly was quite strong even though he was tired and exhausted, he sensed a tickling on his back. His eyes widened, and he jumped as far as he could, backflipping over the boulder the Jedi had pulled at him, and while in mid-air he reached out with the force, and, remembering his training, he grasped the boulder.
He fought with the Jedi for control over it until he landed back on the ground, and suddenly got a slight upper hand. The beast inside him stirred, yet he managed to firmly put it to rest. The Jedi saw the inner fight, and yanked at the boulder with all his might. It came flying towards Resei.

In the last moment he jumped, landed on the flying boulder, took one quick step and leapt off it, throwing himself at the Jedi. He passed just above him, and their lightsabers connected. Both hacked wildly at each others lightsabers as Resei flew past, and as he got too far behind their contact broke. He landed like a cat and turned quickly around, and so did the other man attempt to. In that moment his exhaustion and lack of training struck him, and he twisted his ancle and fell. Yet he did not give up, and he flung himself at Resei.
Resei waitied arrogantly again for the last moment to spin out of reach, before he yanked at the boulder again. The Jedi, having landed on the floor, quickly got up, wincing as he trod on his injured foot, and reached for it with the force. To his amazement Resei did not resist his yank, and as the boulder was locked between the two he nudged it to the left. But where the boulder had once been, in it's place now Resei stood. And in that moment he had no qualms about killing another Jedi, as it was week, exhausted and was going to die anyway. And it would save many more. It was a very good trade.
In no way skilfully he tossed his lightsaber at the other man. Pure luck and no usage of the force (he didn't know how to use the throw lightsaber ability) saw the lightsaber impale the man's chest and pin him to the wall.

Resei then approached the dying man, and as he gripped the hilt of his lightsaber he bent closer to his ear and whispered so that no one else could hear it, "you will be avenged," and then he leant back and moved the lightsaber quickly upwards to split his skull.
He then turned to the mastar, and bowed.
"Will you now let me in, master?"

Kalin Thalis - October 18, 2008 04:58 PM (GMT)
The master took pleasure out of the fact how Resei had split the Jedi's skull open. Sarcastically he clapped his hands together.

"Well done, Resei, yes you are welcome here, but next time sign yourself out before you leave. Don't forget that, young acolyte."

The master turned to the guard, "You see, nothing to be worried about. Now go back to the gate and do you duty!" The master said in a commanding voice.

The guard looked at resei with clenched teeth.

"I'm keeping my eyes on you... Dead Jedi or not, I still don't trust you!" He said before leaving back to the gate.

Resei was left alone in the prison cells. He was free to go wherever he wanted, but he had to pay a heavy price for it...

lewy - October 18, 2008 05:07 PM (GMT)
Resei wandered aimlessly around the corridors for a while. He was working out a plan, and he was still secretly grieving the Jedi he had killed, and no matter what he told himself it did not feel anything better. Then suddenly he bumped into another Master he vaguely remembered. And then he got an idea on how to kill some time... And for now he had to act like an eager young student.
"Ah! Master Tchogâ! Splendid to see you again. Listen.. You wouldn't mind teaching me a few tricks would you? Like, say, force lightning and force choke, would you? It would really aid me in doing mu duties to the academy.."

Kalin Thalis - October 18, 2008 05:18 PM (GMT)
The master looked with suspicion, "I'm not on duty, acolyte. Besides aren't those powers too much for you to handle?"

"How far are your abilities in Force Telekinesis, anyway. Only the strongest ones in this ability can learn the ability to Force choke."

He lifted up Resei in the sky, choking him,

"This is Force Grip, as you can see it is an advanced form of Force Choke... I have you in my grasp, which you have to escape from. However that won't be so easy now that you are choking..." He said with a grin.

"Escape from it, create a barrier and I'll teach you something worthwhile..."

lewy - October 18, 2008 05:32 PM (GMT)
Oh happy day... Apparently he had been gone for so long that he had forgotten these people's weird sense of humour...
And now he was hanging in the corridor choking. No way!
He had to focues... He reached out with the force, looked for the invisible grip at his throat. Oh, gods, he really was choking now!
There! He found the grip.. Now to send the force in to losen it... He tried to use the force and get in, but it was damned tricky...
The master had not been kidding when he had said it was difficoult while choking to death!
Aaargh! Now let's see...
Finally he got into the tight grip. He sent all the force he could manipulate in there to pry it away, He succeeded for just long enough to create a slight barrier. He was no longer choking, but he was still hanging there. The master looked at him emotionlessly, holding him in the air.
Resei tried to reach out to where the masters power was coming from.
Another voice was laughing in his mind, but Resei got the feeling it was testing him and would not aid him. But it showed him, in a moment, a vision, it showed him the way... And a surge of power lashed out from Resei, it cut the steady flow of the force, and Resei quickly made a full bubble around himself. He could feel the flow of the force return to try and grasp him, but the bubble held. It was too late, and he was on the floor, on his knees, panting.

"Now that was... Certainly fun... I had really missed you, master."

Kalin Thalis - October 18, 2008 05:45 PM (GMT)
The master looked down on Resei with a grin,

"Good acolyte, I guess you are ready. That's a nice technique you have there. I haven't seen it in years! Keep it up. However as I said I'm not on duty, so I can't teach you." He said as he obviously lied to Resei that he would be teaching him something if he could break himself free.

But then the master saw someone who maybe could help Resei,

"Kalin, get here! I've got something for you."

Kalin couldn't be arsed but walked over to the master wondering what this was about. To his surprise he saw Resei panting on the floor.

"By the Force, what happened to him...." Kalin asked.

"Just a little test I performed. He wants to learn a new technique, Force Choke, but I don't have the time. Couldn't you fall in for me? I know you're not really a master here, but I know you're capable...." He said in an insulting manner, as Kalin was indeed not a master here, but his rank was surely as high as one. Lots of the masters just didn't agree with that fact.

The master walked away and Kalin looked to Resei,

"What did you get yourself into now, Resei... Why do you want to learn this?!" Kalin asked the acolyte who still was panting on the floor.

lewy - October 18, 2008 06:26 PM (GMT)
"Heh, heh... Just eager to learn, Kalin... Just eager to grow... I would like to become a more efficient killer so that I won't have to use that much power to defeat my lesser enemies. But mostly just for fun, and to grow stronger with the force..."
He got to his feet, agonized.
"Yet what I really want it for... I want to be out there, hunting Jedi like you.. I mean, everybody's talking about this 'Kashyyyk massacre'. That was you, was it? I know it was you at Alderaan! I thought maybe. Just maybe if I knew these powers, like force choke and force lightning... Then maybe also I would one day be hunting Jedi... And I was tired of waiting. Tired of jealous masters holding me back. Tired of masters trying to teach me only the dark side... Everything went downhill after Remus left! But you are not like that, Kalin. Will you teach me this power? Will you help me?"

Kalin Thalis - October 19, 2008 12:38 AM (GMT)
"Yes I was responsible for what happened on Alderaan and Kashyyyk, but I'm not too proud of it. I'm not sure teaching you this is a good idea, Resei. I think it was actually a mistake to bring you here in the first place. Are you really ready to serve the Sith, Resei? Don't you think there's more out there in the galaxy?!" Kalin wondered

Then he suddenly sensed something familiar, a person he was all too familiar with.

"Wait a second. You've been in contact with the Princess Organa, haven't you?! What were you doing with her?! Tell me or I'll report you to the order, and guess what happens then, Resei..."

Kalin wondered what he wanted with the Princess, now that he had a mask to uphold and he wanted to protect the Princess as well as his Jedi friends, he couldn't ignore this.

lewy - October 19, 2008 11:15 AM (GMT)
Resei looked suspiciously at Kalin. Things were making sense now, slowly. Like pieces in a puzzle.
He turned away, and sighed before turning back.

"Kalin.. Not you, too? There's just something wrong about all Remus' apprentices, isn't there... And as for that, I believe we should go somewhere enclosed and discuss my future training, would you not agree?"
He really hoped Kalin would understand... He was, perhaps, the only sensible Sith he had ever met, besides Remus, and he would be a great ally if he was to betray them. And for what would come after.

Kalin Thalis - October 19, 2008 11:59 AM (GMT)
Kalin brought Resei to his room, where he was sure nobody would watch them or overhear them.

"Okay, tell me what's going on and I'll be honest with you, and don't think you can trick me, cause I'll find out anyway."

Kalin hoped Resei would confirm what he suspected. That he wasn't really a dark Jedi anymore, cause Kalin felt responsible for dragging Resei into this mess, but he changed a lot since then, he would never have done it if times were different.

"Resei, if you're here and you're not a Dark Jedi anymore, how did you get back in? The Sith are not as trustworthy. What did you do, I sense a disturbance in you. Something is bothering you isn't it. Something you did..."

lewy - October 19, 2008 12:23 PM (GMT)
Finally Resei could allow himself to express his emotions. He started trembling, and his eyes got wet. He let out no more than one single wince, before he got control over himself again.
".......They made me... They made me kill him... The Jedi.. I know, I know he was going to die anyway, I know that they were planning to kill him anyway... But still.. I split his skull open! At least I acted well, didn't I, heh... Argh!"
He threw his lightsaber, turned off, at the floor.
"Aaaargh! No! I am no dark jedi anymore. Leia asked me to get her the list of Jedi that were going to be killed. Of course, I never believed she did not already have it.. Especially now that I know you are in this, too. But to prove my loyalty..."
Then sudenly he seemed to remember something.
"Oh, and will you teach me force choke? Or force lightning even? Heh, imagine coming back here and choke master Tchogâ! Haha... No, I'm just joking, hehe. But I promised that Jedi he would be avenged... So I must suceed. The empire must fall..." he whispered.

Kalin Thalis - October 19, 2008 12:35 PM (GMT)
"It's too soon to think of that, Resei. But you're on the right track, I can help you and get that list. I can also help you escape, but we have to be cautious. No I haven't given that list yet to the Princess, but I try to keep the Jedi aware of who's being hunted. I have allies with the Jedi, but Senator Organa doesn't trust me, she still considers me to be Sith."

"However, why would you still want to learn to choke people with the Force. If you don't want to be a Dark Jedi any more, I advice you do not learn any ways of the Dark Side any more. It will only lead to trouble. Now we have to come up with a plan."

"The list is held in a terminal which is heavily guarded. I may be granted access, though I doubt that, but I'm not sure you're allowed access. In theory only the masters are allowed in that room and technically I'm not a master, I just serve the Darth Vader himself right under him, but I'm not really a part of this academy. If that is good enough to get me inside the room, I can't tell...."

lewy - October 19, 2008 12:57 PM (GMT)
Resei decided to adress the least important question first.
"Oh, well, I was just thinking know your enemy, right? Anything that could assist me against them. You of all should know you get more powerful by not limiting yourself to one side of the force. Yes, I am still hungry for power, that may be so, but only to use it for the good of the galaxy."
He started walking around. Then he adressed the more important of the matters.

"Hmm... We must try, mustn't we. But we will need an excuse. Of course, yours could easily be that you need the list for hunting purposes. As for me... I could be assisting you. But it will not be easy... Now what do you say?"

Kalin Thalis - October 20, 2008 09:43 PM (GMT)
"You must do something about that hunger of yours, that just leads to the Dark Side and unlike me, you haven't learned yet how to keep your Light Side and your Dark Side into balance. I must admit I have difficulty in keeping it that way. It puts a lot of pressure on me, and sometimes I just want to get free. That's why I massacred so many Jedi in the past, I felt free, but I know it was wrong to do. Sometimes the Dark Side just lures me back and I can't resist. What makes you think you'll be able to resist?"

Kalin kept on walking, "Anyway sounds like a plan what you just mentionned. We could use that excuse of yours to get into the terminal. Follow me!"

While they reached the terminal room, Kalin stood in front of the guards.

"Halt, you cannot enter here!"

Kalin showed the ring Vader had given him. Anyone who possessed this ring had Vader's trust.
"I need to get inside and get an update on the 'wanted list'. At the moment Vader has no request who I have to hunt down, but I still have to teach my acolyte something, so I'll try to hunt down anyone who is on the current list."

The guard stood aside so Kalin and Ressei could enter.

Inside the terminal was online. Now they only had to hack inside. Kalin had never been here, he was always given a list of Jedi, but he never received the list from the source itself.

"This won't be easy, we have to find a way to hack inside the terminal."

lewy - October 21, 2008 05:17 PM (GMT)
Resei looked shyly down at where his lightsaber hung at his hip.
"I don't suppose... You wouldn't by chance mean... No, not that kind of hacking, no..."
He looked at the terminal, intrigued.
"Ehm.. Kalin... I have a slight confession to make.. You know, growing up on a farm and stuff.. Well, this is not that kind of a machine I am used to.. I could try, though, we had something slightly resembling this in the bounty hunter camp..? So unless you need fifty thousand passwords and a TIE-fighter I suppose I could somehow get through it. Unless you want a go, that is? Splendid!," he finished before Kalin even had the time to reply- he was so eager to try this new thing although he would not admit it even if Darth Vader was choking him..
"Now may the force be with me," he whispered to himself before turning the terminal on.
It wasn't that hard. Really. Just pressing the buttons according to the instructions on the screen to get where you wanted. For a while he just let his fingers flow freely, but when he got into a menu that asked him if he really wished to memory-swipe the terminal he tried a more careful approach. And finally he was there. And he hadn't even stumbled onto the rumoured naked pictures of Darth Vader!
He was quite proud for it, until a message popped up on the screen, requesting, of course, a password...
"Oh... Right... Between 5 and 9 digits... Any idea, Kalin? Maybe 'force'? Or 'order66', or... Maybe just 'password'?"
Resei was puzzled. It could be anything!

Kalin Thalis - October 21, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
"Try 'Sith Hound', I dunno something just tell me that is the password. It's seems a bit obvious but maybe that is the point."

Kalin carefully waited for Resei to hack in the terminal. He handed a few computer spikes over to him, which he found earlier.

"If you can't find the password, just use one of these spikes, they might help you to get passed the password, in case we don't get it."

Kalin went to the door, he heard footsteps outside. Meaning they had to hurry to get that list.

"We'll have to hurry, someone is approaching!"

lewy - October 21, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
Resei looked suspiciously at Kalin. He had kept that spike all along..? Oh, well... No time to hope for the password to work. So he merrily stuffed the spike into the terminal's anus. It beeped sadly, and he found himself with full access. He hurriedly downloaded a disc containing the wanted list, and shut the terminal down.
"Right... Time to go!" And just as he said that, someone opened the door from the outside...

Kalin Thalis - October 21, 2008 06:04 PM (GMT)
It was Master Daemus, who opened the door,

"Kalin?! What are you doing in here?!" He asked in a commanding manner.

"Just checking out who is left to kill of the Jedi. You know it's my duty to bring my master's enemies to justice..." Kalin replied calmly.

"Justice, is that what you call it?!" He said with disrespect that he felt for Kalin. As many other of the masters he looked down on him.

"Common lets leave, I think this man needs his time alone with the terminal, for who knows what reason..." Kalin said slightly mocking Daemus.

"Don't give me that tone, Kalin or I'll!"

"You'll do what?!" Kalin said interrupting him.

Daemus clenched his teeth and gave a short reply, "Just leave, I got better things to do."

Kalin left with Resei and hoped he wouldn't notice that the computer had been hacked.

lewy - November 1, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
Resei and Kalin walked hurriedly down the corridors. As they rounded another corner Resei whispered: "I'll give him no more than one more minute and he'll be after us. We've got to be prepared for nastiness..."
Kalin frowned at that, before slightly increasing the speed.
"What makes you so certain about that?" he whispered back.
"I mean, he was suspicious! You could see it in his face as he entered the room, that he was prepared to dissemble and reassemble that terminal a hundred times if it could lead him to any evidence.. He's gonna find it if he knows what he's doing!"
They rounded yet another corner, and nearly bumped in a line of acolytes watching some kind of a fuss further down the corridor. They parted grudgingly for Kalin, and Resei walked in his wake. As they reached the middle of what was, they now discovered, some sort of an amputated circle, they were greeted by an intriguing sight.
There laid Master Daemus on the floor, two guards holding him down as he struggled.
"I'm telling you! I'm telling you I did nothing!"
The guards were really struggling to keep the Sith down, and Resei could hear the footsteps of more guards coming to aid.
Thus the guards did not see Kalin and Resei until Kalin requested an answer; "What is going on here"

One of them looked up, and as three more guards managed to penetrate the crowd of spectators, he let them take his place. He straightened before Kalin.
"Master Daemus was caught hacking the terminal. The one with the list in... Well, actually he was caught attempting to dismantle the terminal, but we quickly discovered it had been hacked. He claims he is innocent. And I am puzzled. Why would a Master, who has access to nearly all of the terminal, hack it? I mean, the only things he don't have access to are administering the terminal... And much good it would do him..."
Master Daemus looked up at this, and his mouth opened and closed slightly as he saw Kalin.
"No! It was him! I swear it was him! I only checked the terminal for evidence! I know what it looks like, but this is humiliating and you have the wrong man!"
One of the guards frowned, as if he remembered something.
"Oh, wait.. That's true! You were there, Kalin! Just before him! You left as he entered..."
Kalin tried to find a way to get out of this mess and replied
"What evidence do you have. It's my word against his. Tell me what reason I have to hack a terminal... If I want access to that terminal I'll just ask permission from Lord Vader himself." Kalin tried to remain calm, but his anger was taking over. He was tired of these ignorant idiots who called themselves masters in the Dark Side. Resei nearly got scared of his 'companion', there seemed to be some angry fire burning in his eyes as he spoke, or snarled.

The guards looked uncertain at each others. They all suspected something, but if they were wrong they would have to answer to Vader himself which is not a path they wanted to take. Not over this, anyway. It was not nearly worth it. The guard who had taken charge spoke, reluctantly, on behalf of all of them.
"Of course not, Kalin. But we have a serious case here, and we need a solution... So who do we believe? How can we decide who is guilty?"
Resei chose this moment to speak. He had gotten a splendid idea, or at least so he thought. An idea they would all like, and if it went well, there would be none left to accuse them of anything...
"Why not let the strongest decide? Of course I know Kalin is innocent, but if Master Daemus is so desperate to regain his honour, why not let them duel each others? That would be the fair solution you are looking for. A fight to the death."
The guard nearly sighed, relieved. As far as he was concerned it was a solution all of them could live with. If Kalin won, things could go on as if nothing had ever happened. And even if he should lose, Vader would be satisfied. If he could not beat the other man, then he had no use for him. It was the Sith way of doing it.
"Yes. Yes, that would certainly be fair. Or what do you say?"
Daemus was clearly up for it, and he snarled like a beast at Kalin, bloodlust and and insult written in his eyes.
All eyes then turned to Kalin. It was his call. All eyes but one pair looked quizzically at him. Only Resei looked as if he was slightly sorry. But he was confident Kalin could win.

Kalin Thalis - November 1, 2008 11:14 PM (GMT)
Kalin wasn't too keen on Resei's suggestion, but it did seem like the only solution to get out of this mess. Still he wished there would be another solution. Not that he was a coward, but he had been in too much fighting lately and he didn't want more blood on his hands. Although this was somebody who considered himself a master in the Dark Arts. And Kalin thought he was just an ignorant idiot. He hated these fools who were so full of themselves, so if it had to end in blood so be it.

Though Kalin faced a slight disadvantage. Kalin only wielded one lightsaber while Deamus was wielding two. Kalin also had a second lightsaber but the fact that the blade was blue would surely attract suspicion, so he was certainly not able to use it.

The fight began and Master Deamus erupted in anger, attacking first. Kalin deflected this first attack with ease, however when Deamus fell to the ground he swung his other lightsaber towards Kalin which slashed through his bionic arm.
Little sparks began to show from the damage, though his arm was still functional. The lightsaber also cut right through his sleeve so Kalin ripped it off his attire.

With one arm sleeveless he attacked himself at Deamus, but when the master wanted to counter attack, Kalin quickly lept over him, and used a Force push that made him crash into the wall. Deamus lost one of his lightsabers but with ease he used the Force to grab it back. A third attack was made and Kalin had to block both lightsabers holding it diagonal, otherwise one of his lightsabers would surely slash through him.

It was now the moment who would be the strongest. Deamus proved to be stronger physical and pushed Kalin to the ground. Kalin quickly recovered himself and swung his lightsaber again, but Deamus blocked it, pushing him back again, but luckily for Kalin he didn't lose his balance as another swing was aimed at his feet, which he could dodge by jumping upwards. It was time to fight dirty and Kalin kicked his foot right in Deamus' face. His mouth was gushing blood and tasting it his hunger for revenge became stronger.

Though Deamus was physically stronger, Kalin proved to be faster, which was his greatest advantage. It came often close that he could only barely dodge his lightsaber swings, but he managed so far. The fight kept going on. Both seemed to be strong in the Force and the duel was still undecided. Kalin could dodge Deamus attack with his speed, but his attacks were not easy to block when Kalin didn't have the chance any longer to dodge them.

Kalin did see that this fight wouldn't last any longer as he saw little drops of sweat on Deamus' forehead. He was getting tired of the fight and Kalin still felt strong. Deamus' physical strength would not be much use to him now that he was getting exhausted. He felt desperate to survive and with one small mistake he attacked too rushed, too fast and Kalin dodged to his left, swung his lightsaber holding it upside down, which was known as an unorthodox method of the Shien form. Often it was described as weak against a single opponent, but in this case it was very effective. This form allowed Kalin to use his lightsaber more easier as he swept it toward Deamus decapitating him.

As his head rolled over the floor towards the other masters, Kalin switched off his lightsaber. He panted cause the duel was exhausting. Maybe he did underestimate Deamus. But like any Dark Jedi he was too overconfident which became his doom. Kalin looked at the other masters, "Well I guess that settles that..." He said, while he still panted. "Common, Resei, let's go, we have other business to attend to."

lewy - November 2, 2008 08:48 PM (GMT)
As the guards picked up the limp body and head of Master Daemus, under the other masters' emotionless surveilance, Resei and Kalin moved unchallenged through the slowly dissolving ring of acolytes. They moved away with all eyes on their backs, and Resei felt relieved as the could round another corner. He mumbled to Kalin:
"I'm sorry I made you fight him... But I thought it would be the best way of.. Putting things behind us."
They continued in silence until they finally stood before the ship Resei had hijacked from 'Roar'.
He turned to Kalin.
"So you are coming with me, then? Or what?"

"Well I wasn't too keen on fighting him, but I guessed there was no other choice to get out of this situation anyway, so don't feel bothered about the fight Resei."
They stopped walking until they reached Resei's ship.
"Resei turned to Kalin.
"So you are coming with me, then? Or what?" He asked to Kalin
Kalin quickly replied, "No, I think that is out of the question, Resei. You want to join the rebellion, I certainly don't have the intention to do the same. Certainly not. My place is here with the Sith. Besides me and the Princess of Alderaan don't have such a good history, so my presence there would only jeopardize your goal..."

Resei sighed. On his own again.
"Oh, well, I shall manage... Thank you for all your help, Kalin. And to think I thought you were a real bastard sonuvva womp rat... Well I suppose this is goodbye, then. Until next time!" he exclaimed before going on board the ship. Then, at a second thought, he stuck his head back out and added:
"And my regards to your girlfriend!" before taking off, headed for Alderaan and the princess once again...
