Noddian flew the ship into what appeared to be a giant asteroid. The signal he had been looking for was coming from inside. The asteroid, though appearing normal on the outside, housed a small city which was protected in the inner regions by a set of shield generators in the hollowed out core. It had almost been impossible for Noddian to find the signal that the city gave off, and it would have been impossible if he hadn't have known what to look for. This was the orbital base of operations for the group of Geonosian rebels that he had been sent to deliver to. As he approached the city there was a message being sent by the control tower. In the harsh tongue of Geonosis the control tower operator asked his cargo number. "Cargo number 2675" Noddian responded. After a short time, the tower operator said that the shields were being lowered and that Noddian should proceed to docking bay 25. Noddian complied, and in a few moments was watching as his cargo being unloaded by the service droids inside. While this was taking place, Noddian decided to go to see if there was a bar where he could get a drink on this rock.
Noddian walked into a smoke filled bar. He noticed that most bars he walked into were like this. He walked up to the bar and ordered a Corellian Ale. He slowly began to sip it until the harmony of the situation was severely shaken. He noticed a group of smugglers walk into the bar. The familiar sight of their faces made him almost spit out his ale. Fortunately, he was able to keep his composure enough to walk away from the bar without attracting attention. He walked past a inebriated patron that seemed to be passed out, with a cloak draped over his body. Noddian stole the cloak and wrapped it around himself. He then sat himself in a far corner booth that faced the door, brought his 434 pistol out underneath the too big cloak, and brought the hood over his face. These men that had just walked into the bar were formerly from his employ. However, once the coup to overthrow Noddian had come they were the first to turn tail and join Brogen.
The names of most of them were inconsequential to Noddian. Only the leader stood out in his mind. Jell Torgall, a scum bag if there ever was one. He had had the singular honor of killing Noddian's wife and son in front of him. Noddian knew that now was not the time to exact a revenge on him, but it tempted him so, and soon the opportunity came even closer. Once the group had ordered their drinks, they walked over to the booth that Noddian occupied. "Hey you little slime" growled Jell "get out of our spot." "Oh...good gracious, I um...the seat, er yes indeed" Noddian mumbled in his best impression of a drunk. He got up from the booth and stumbled away, all the while keeping the pistol trained on the group through the cloak. Once he walked away from the bar he set off toward docking bay 25. His best choice was to get off this rock before anyone from his old gang could recognize him and tell Brogen he was still alive.
Once Noddian had reached docking bay 25, he was surprised to see the entrance guarded by a detail of battle droids armed with a set of blasters that had no doubt come in on a recent shipment. He approached them with his blaster holstered. "Sorry sir" said the one to his right "all smugglers inside the city are barred from leaving for the time being." Noddian was a bit confused by this. "For what reason?" he queried. "You are requested to proceed to the amphitheater. More will be explained there." Noddian saw no point in arguing with the droids. Considering the speed with which they had shown up, more might arrive soon.
Through a series of directions given by more battle droids that were now posted in the streets, Noddian finally found himself inside of a large amphitheater. After some time of contemplating what exactly would have happened to have pinned them inside of this asteroid, a geonosian walked onto the stage and signaled the crowd for silence. He spoke in geonosian, which was translated on a screen above them. "Attention smugglers" Noddian could tell that this one was definitely honored more for his military prowess than his speaking skills. "It has come to our attention that the entry of ships into this system has alerted imperial troops on the planet to our presence. At the moment it has become far too dangerous for any of you to leave the city due to an imperial sweep of the asteroid belt. While this sweep is going on we cannot allow any of you to leave the city. We have however, been able to acquire accommodations for all of you at hotels in the city. If you will all proceed to the exits you will be giving room assignments as you leave." Noddian wasn't interested in having a room at the moment. He was interested in getting as far away from this rock as possible. However, since this was not possible, he decided on taking the room.
Noddian found his room to be in a rather beaten up hotel, which was of the quality of which he had not stayed in since before he had become a crime boss. The quality of the hotel wasn't what bothered him. He had stayed in worse in his time. It wasn't the creatures that scurried through the hall that bothered him. They were pests, but they tended to keep to themselves. What did bother him greatly was the group he was neighbor to, Jell Torgall and friends.
