Title: Night Time Meeting

Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - September 21, 2008 08:56 PM (GMT)
After what seemed like forever, Amelia finally led the two Jedi Masters to the bottom steps of the Palace, though she made sure that they kept well into the shadows so that they could not be seen. Pulling up her hood, she tried to hint that the other two should do the same.

"Right, well...here goes nothing," she shrugged, giving them a quick grin, before stepping out of the shadows and walking boldly up the steps, hoping that they wouldn't fall far behind. If they did, the guards might not believe that the three of them were together.

"Hey there," she grinned to the guard on duty at the door, trying to act casual.

"Good evening My Lady...I have not seen you around here for some time," the guard replied.

"Yeah, well, you know...bit of family business to sort out, and all that...these are, ah...my...friends. Alright if they come in with me? The Queen's been informed...she said it was alright..." she lied, hoping she sounded convincing. For a moment, the guard frowned at her.

"I wasn't aware of such a meeting, Miss."

"Weren't you?" she replied, folding her arms across her chest in an attempt to sound mildly surprised, rather than panicked, which is how she was really feeling. "Oh...well you know that communication around here's been a bit lapse recently...something we really need to work on, huh?"

"Indeed it is, Miss," he nodded, stepping aside to let them in. "Have a nice stay, both of you," he nodded to Alluria and Qurhon.

As soon as they were inside the Palace, and out of range of the guard, Amelia let out a sigh of relief. "That was a close one...glad it was Ewan on duty though...no offence to the poor guy, but there's no lights on upstairs, if you know what I mean?"

Kalin Thalis - September 21, 2008 09:07 PM (GMT)
Qurhon nodded,

"Well done Amelia, now let's make our way to the Throne room so we can make our visit to the Queen and then leave as soon as possible. I'm not too sure about being here. I just sense something..."

Qurhon sensed something he didn't trust. Maybe something was going wrong at the Jedi camp. Maybe something was wrong with Ayanna. Either way he had a difficult time sensing her.

"How far is it still walking to the Throne Room. I'm not sure what the purpose of this visit is. I should be handling other matters. But if you think this visit is worth the risk then I'll follow you two anywhere..."

Ayanna Nyx - September 21, 2008 09:11 PM (GMT)
"This is to ensure our safety. The Queen has been known to help Jedi in the past but as Amelia informed me, she is a little sceptical. She has to be careful in terms of the Empire. She will know that we are here, but she may find it suspicious why we have never made our presences known. This is to allow us to stay on Naboo when needed, and also it will help Amelia. She's in a dangerous position being both the decoy of the Queen and a Jedi. The Queen must be alerted to this." She said quietly as she hoped that this would help clear things up with him, "I just hope things go smoothly....."

Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - September 21, 2008 09:23 PM (GMT)
"This way," Amelia said as she led them deeper into the Palace. As she did so, she turned to speak to Qurhon in a quiet voice. "Master Qurhon, we're going to meet with the Queen in the garden...it is the one place I'm sure of that is not observed by cameras or guards...the Throne Room is rigged with secret cameras and other devices to record all meetings the Queen may have, though I'm not really supposed to know that..."

Passing many more guards, Amelia made sure to keep her head down and not draw attention to herself, though by now she'd pulled her hood down so that they could at least see her face. Many of the guards recognized her and didn't question her, meaning that in no time at all, they had reached the gardens. But Amelia couldn't see the monarch anywhere. Just a single handmaiden.

"Aha..." she grinned, starting to make her way towards the handmaiden in the distance.

Kalin Thalis - September 21, 2008 09:41 PM (GMT)
Qurhon was observing the garden himself, he couldn't detect the Queen anywhere.

"Amelia, are you sure she would be here at his time."

Qurhon didn't wait for an answer, time was running out. He approached the handmaiden with a determined look on his face. The handmaiden seemed alarmed when he reached her.

"What are you doing here, sir?!" She asked a little afraid.

"That's not important what my presence is..." Qurhon said calmly, "You will bring us to the queen at once..." Qurhon added with a Mind Trick. She repeated what he said and she started to show them the way where the queen would be.

Ayanna Nyx - September 21, 2008 10:02 PM (GMT)
Alluria was unsure what to think right now, this was not the best place to be, for their sakes as well as the Queen's. But as the bemused handmaiden led them to the gardens, they could clearly see the figure that was there waiting for them.

Alluria spoke to Amelia, "You'd best explain things to her. She does not know us, but she does you. We will help clarify what you tell her, but she will have trust and faith in you, not in us." She said, concerned about what was going to happen now. Would the Queen even listen to them? She could not say.

Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - September 21, 2008 10:15 PM (GMT)
Amelia stepped forwards, bowing to the Queen with a slight smile.

"Your Majesty...my apologies for not returning sooner. I was...ah...caught up in a little business..."

"Which you have appeared to have brought back to the Palace with you," the Queen noted, referring to Alluria and Qurhon with a suspicious look.

"They're my friends, Your Majesty," Amelia replied with a smile towards them both as she recognized the Queen's suspicions.

"They can be trusted, I assure you. They are Jedi Masters...and they...well we seek your help...because Master Starfire is more than just a Jedi Master...she's my Master. I'm sorry for the deception, Your Majesty, but when I left, it was not to find my brother...it was to pursue my training as a Jedi...but that is why we come before you now...we need your help...your protection...Your Majesty."

She bowed her head again, trying to show the utmost respect to Kylantha, because she could guarantee that the Queen wouldn't be happy to hear about this 'deception'.

"So..." Kylantha said at last, pacing a little and studying the three of them with narrowed eyes. "You lied to me...deserted your duties...and ran off to become a Jedi...despite the blatant dangers you are putting yourself in...and then you come back here and ask me to put myself in danger too, by protecting you?"

"Ah...pretty much, yeah," Amelia nodded nervously, looking to Alluria and Qurhon to back her up. Then she quickly realised her mistake and added, "Your Majesty."

Kalin Thalis - September 23, 2008 09:22 AM (GMT)
Qurhon stepped in, "Don't be angry at her your majesty. She'll only did what felt right to her. My partner Alluria trained her the best she could in the Jedi ways and no one was harmed during her training. However we thought it would be safer if you knew of our presence, rather than not...."

Qurhon made a bow, he forgot to make,

"Excuse me... I should have asked permission to speak, but you know how difficult times are... We are only trying to help and we hope you can appreciate that. We can offer you more protection too. All we mainly ask is shelter."

Ayanna Nyx - September 23, 2008 09:27 AM (GMT)
Alluria bowed before speaking, "As Qurhon said, these are difficult times. The only reason Amelia did not alert you soon is because..... Well because I did not think it was such a wise thing. We have been fooled by people of great power before, and I was not sure what side you were specifically on. But Amelia has great faith in you, so we decided to tell you of the present situation. I'm sure that you were already aware of a Jedi presence on the planet, but not who or why. Now you know. I know that you have helped Jedi in the past, I'm hoping that you will be lenient now with us...." She said before bowing again, wondering what the Queen was going to make of all of this.

Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - September 23, 2008 05:28 PM (GMT)
Looking from Amelia to the two Jedi Masters, then back to Amelia again, the Queen sighed.

"I can't stay mad at you forever, Amelia. You've been a loyal and faithful servant to me...and the fact that you apparently have such faith in me...well I guess it is only right that I return that gesture. You will have my protection, under the condition that I have yours in return...because as you may know, Amelia...the Darkell's have stepped up their campaign again recently, and whilst the Empire protects me...I still do not trust them. I would in all honesty, feel safer knowing that Jedi were there to step in, if needed."

Amelia couldn't help but smile as she bowed to the Queen again.

"You have my word, Your Majesty...and my promise to protect you, in return for your shelter and lenience."

"Very well," Kylantha nodded. Then she turned to look to the other two, wondering if they would be as willing as Amelia was to agree to these terms.

Kalin Thalis - September 23, 2008 06:39 PM (GMT)
Qurhon bowed to the Queen and thanked the Force for her help,

"Thank you, your majesty. I swear that you will not regret your decision. In secret we will keep an eye on you if you would be in potential danger... The Force will tell us. We will be your secret guards if needed. And I'm sure Amelia will never leave your side. Ater all, she is still in your 'service', but luckily not as a Jedi... but she will be... she will be and then she can give you more than just her services as a handmaiden. She can offer you a lot more..."

Qurhon nodded to Amelia as a gesture of faith that as a Jedi it would be her duty to protect people and in her case she had to watch over the people of Naboo and also the Queen. She promised her their protection though Qurhon didn't know if he could stay on Naboo forever. He knew he would have to make connection with Kalin again in the future to ask what his present whereabouts would be. So he couldn't give her that promise, but he thought Amelia as a handmaiden of the Queen could.

Ayanna Nyx - September 23, 2008 06:52 PM (GMT)
Alluria bowed along with the rest of them before they left the palace behind. The hour was getting later than they were comfortable with and they would have to make their way back to Asané and Ayanna. Though Alluria found it strange that she could not sense her, perhaps it was because she did not have such a strong connection with her as she did with the others. But she felt certain that she would be able to sense something nonetheless.

As they walked back, she turned to Amelia, "You did wonderfully...." She smiled then looking to Qurhon, "You seemed troubled while in the palace, do you sense it too? With Ayanna?...." She asked, then looking to Amelia to see if she did as well.
