Title: The Dark Jedi Assassinations

Kalin Thalis - September 18, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
Since Kalin was not summoned to do Vader's will, he was free to go wherever he wanted to go. Strangely enough he went back to the Sith Academy. He didn't receive a warm welcome there. He was seen as a traitor after his fight with Vader. Others admired him for being the man he was. Being Vader's apprentice was an honor, but that also brought a lot of jealousy. But Kalin didn't care about this, cause he was here for a purpose and one purpose only. The night came and Kalin went to sleep. Hours later a cloaked figure walked around the Sleeping Chambers. The most luxurious ones where the masters slept. One of the master woke up and immediately recognized the figure. But before he could yell out the alarm, before he could speak, the figure held the master in a tight Force Grip. He tried to crush the master's throat. However his skill in the Dark Side were too strong. However the Dark Figure wasn't finished yet. He unleashed a Force Storm that disfigured the master completely. His flesh burned, his face got wrinkled and torn apart. He could hardly breath anymore. Then the figure dropped him from the air. Falling on the ground, bumping his head on his bed. The fall broke his neck and he lay lifeless there on the floor. The figure left the chamber walking slowly and sneakily back to his own. He removed his hood, revealing that it was indeed Kalin who killed him. The next morning everybody was talking about the murder. People got scared. Kalin walked about pretending he knew nothing. He asked what was going on, and the others revealed the murder. Everybody wondered who could get inside the Academy unnoticed and have the strength to kill a master. Kalin immediately had an answer,
"I'm not sure, but it could be Li, he would have a motive, he would be strong enough to do such an act. I found out on Naboo that he escaped. He's dangerous. We have to send out a research team to find him so we can bring him to justice..."
"You mean finding him and killing him. This is not about justice, it's about revenge for what he did!"
One of the masters said angry.
"Whatever..." Kalin said nonchalant, "As long as he is dead, I don't care what the reason is..."
Then he walked away. Though there was no proof Kalin did it and no true motif, the masters still suspected something. It wasn't impossible it would be Kalin, but they had no proof so they did start to search for Li in case Kalin was telling the truth. This served Kalin well, cause he seriously doubted Li was on Korriban which would buy him more time to continue his assassinations. He walked pleased back to his quarters and already planned ahead who would be the next target.

Kalin Thalis - September 19, 2008 12:03 AM (GMT)
The second night, Kalin had different plans. He intended to kill some acolytes who would soon become the enemy of the Jedi. The only thing he hated about doing this, is that he dwelt on the thought he was also doing this to save Alluria's neck and he didn't like the idea of that. At night many acolytes still trained with a lightsaber. One master to guide them. Kalin stepped inside the training room dark cloaked as the night before. The master of course reacted first,
"You must be the one I've been hearing of... You must be Li, no matter I will..."
Before the master could finish his line, Kalin already had him pierced through his guts,
"You talk too much..." He said lowering his voice.
The other acolytes got startled, but they couldn't escape as Kalin blocked the only exit. Another fierce Force Storm created a lot of chaos and they started to panic more. They ran around, trying to find a way out. Unfortunately they lacked experience so a Force Push wouldn't save them by creating a hole through the wall for creating another possibility to escape. Kalin grinned at the joy of how these 'rookies' were panicking. First he threw his lightsaber as a boomerang taking out five of them at the same time. The lightsaber just swept through their feeble necks or pierced right through their chests. Since these were inexperienced acolytes their Force abilities were no match for Kalin's so he took them out in no time, however he didn't take it into account that unlike the night before there was more screaming involved which notified the other masters. From a backpack he threw all these plants around the room, leaving 'proof' behind that Li was behind the attack. wrapping it up around the dead bodies, so it would seem Li used his ability, plant surge to aid him in this massacre. There wasn't much time, the alarm suddenly sounded and already another master blocked his way. Kalin performed a strong Force push so he wouldn't stand in his way anymore. Then he ran to the front gate and with one of the strongest Force Repulses that j that just blasted the gate into oblivion and even cracked the walls into pieces. Kalin used his Force speed to escape as fast as possible, before they would start searching for him. Though he quickly jumped to the landing platforms to sneak back inside back to his room, where he just lay in bed and wait for the 'news'.
The next morning he arrived at the crime scene. The other masters observed the dead bodies and saw how the plants were spiraling around the legs or even the necks of the victims. Even the other masters had difficulty to deny now that it was indeed Li with his plant surge.
"Now do you believe me?!" Kalin said sarcastically, though he just laid it out carefully so he did have proof that it was Li who was the murderer, not him.
The masters nodded but were still in a huff mainly because of jealousy and because they thought he was right on this matter. With the plants around the bodies the proof surely pointed more to Li, rather towards Kalin, which they hoped for. It would give them a good excuse to get rid of him, which they were aching to do ever since he became Vader's apprentice.

Kalin Thalis - September 20, 2008 12:03 PM (GMT)
Kalin landed the ship he 'borrowed' back on the landing platform next to the academy. It was still dark, but he had to be careful. He took out some guards by surprise not killing them, but knocking them unconscious. Then he quickly hacked into the terminal. He change some of the details of the ship and saw that the ship he used to transport himself to Coruscant was registered as it left 'Without authority'. This ship belonged to the academy. For his own ship he didn't need any authority, but he couldn't use it, cause the academy still had to think he never left Korriban. Kalin changed the details as though the ship had never left. Then he ran away, making his way back inside the academy itself. However there was more trouble. The gate he blasted in pieces with his Force Repulse still wasn't repaird, so the gate was now heavily guarded with more Dark Jedi. Well he thought to himself. 'Two more dead? Good riddance...'
Sneaking up on them with his hood up behind the cliffs, they could already sense his presence, "Wait? Do you sense that?!" One of them said in suspicion.
"Yes, we're not alone, be on your guard...." The other responded.
Kalin then made a high leap over the cliffs, with his lightsaber ignited, catching them by surprise, hacking through one's chest, while decapitating the other. This 'job' went very quick, but he had to hurry back to his room. Of course others did hear 'something' but they didn't know what it was. Some for certainty did get off their beds and checked out what was going on, and saw the guards of the gate had been killed. They set the alarm and notified the other masters of the murder. But at that time Kalin was already long inside his bed, pretending he knew nothing about it.
The next morning he stood up and saw everybody was talking about the murders last night. Though they weren't aware yet of the guards who were knocked unconscious. In favour for Kalin they didn't decide to tell anyone, cause they knew the Dark Jedi would see this as some failure and that could lead to very bad consequences. Kalin showed up in the main hall. This murder however could not immediately be linked to Li as there were no plants to help him to kill the guards at the gate. Kalin had to be very extra careful with what he said,
"Maybe he didn't need his 'plant surge'. I mean these were only two guards. When he was fighting the ones in the training room he was facing a lot more of us." Kalin said as an explanation.
The other masters couldn't disagree. It was a possible explanation why Li didn't use it, so it could still be him. The strange thing was, why didn't he do more when he had to kill the guards at the gate, "Maybe he tried... But gave up after the alarm was sounded." Kalin added.
The masters nodded. Another good explanation, but still they were too suspicious and weren't sure that it was indeed Li. Though they thought he never left the academy, he hadn't shown his face for days inside it, at least not to anyone's knowledge. Yet another murder happened and suddenly he shows his face again. Yes this all seemed very suspicious. Luckily for Kalin there was still no proof that he was involved in these murders.
