Title: mission outset

Zane Krell Dormin - July 17, 2008 03:11 AM (GMT)
Zane and Norish made their way to the landing platforms and after about 15 minutes of searching finally found Var'keth.
The two then made there way over to him so that they may begin their mission

Taves Sarfell - July 21, 2008 06:49 PM (GMT)
Var'keth looked in the direction of the cadets. They had arrived sooner than he had expected. "Zane, Norish, some pressing business has come to my attention. I won't be able to brief you over your mission. Captain!" he called to another man who was standing some distance off. The man came over and saluted Var'keth. Var'keth returned the salute. He then turned back to Zane and Norish. "Cadets, this is Captain Lorkart. He will be handling your briefing. Captain" Var'keth again saluted Lorkart and walked away.

Lorkart turned to the cadets "Well, since Var'keth won't be here, here's the rundown for your mission. We have a diplomat needing to go to the planet Delaya. While he is in transit and making his way to his quarters on Delaya you need to make sure that no harm comes to him. We have a detail for him on Delaya when he arrives at his quarters. You then have a day of leave on Delaya before you are to escort him back here. Here he is now." A man approached behind them, wearing a white diplomatic robe. He gave a nod to the captain, then turned to the cadets, giving them an even smaller nod before he walked onto the ship. The captain then turned to the two. "Any questions?"

Zane Krell Dormin - July 21, 2008 07:52 PM (GMT)
"ok so we take the diplomat to Delaya keep him safe until he reaches his quarters, then we have the rest of that day off, or is it the next day before we bring him back?" Zane replied.

Then Norish asked about what kind of activities they were allowed to participate in on their day off, with a bit of a chuckle after the question.

Zane turned back to give Norish an impatient glare and then refocused his attention back onto Capitan Lorkart.

Taves Sarfell - July 22, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
Lorkart gave Norish an equally venomous stare before he continued. "You will have the rest of the day, and the next day with leave. However, any drunken escapades or bills of indecent import, and you will be put on probation. The time you will spend on Delaya will seem miniscule, so I suggest that if you have to use it for R and R, then make sure it's moderate. Other than that, any questions?"

Zane Krell Dormin - July 22, 2008 07:02 PM (GMT)
Zane replied with a nervous expression on his face "uhh, exactly what are we expecting to be protecting the diplomat from?"

Taves Sarfell - July 22, 2008 07:15 PM (GMT)
Lorkart gave Zane an understanding smile. "Nothing in particular. This is just a routine mission. You'll be lucky if you get any action whatsoever."

OOC: Just so you know, things may get a little bit hairy on the return trip, but you don't know that yet. That post will be in space after you leave Delaya.

Zane Krell Dormin - July 22, 2008 09:40 PM (GMT)
Norish let out a sigh of relief.

Zane was slightly disappointed that his first real mission was probably just going to be "baby sitting" some diplomat, but after the events of the training mission from before he was relieved that he probably wouldn’t be responsible with keeping anyone alive under fire.

Zane Krell Dormin - August 2, 2008 10:57 PM (GMT)
Zane and Norish took up their positions outside the shuttle awaiting the arrival of the diplomat. After about five minuets the diplomat arrived with his two aids and made their way to the ship.
As the diplomat made his way up the ramp into the ship he turned his head to Zane and gave him a slight nod and smile. though this was obviously just a kind greeting Zane found it to be a little bit odd, but he quickly passed it off as just his own paranoia and boarded the craft behind Norish.

As they all took their seats Zane could not help but continue to study the diplomat who sat across from him, he seemed to be an average man with short curly grey hair with signs of balding in the front, a strange but kind face and a long dark red robe. Zane decided he should probably spend the ride relaxing instead of eyeballing some old diplomat, for he could not know of what excitement could come up once they arrive on Delaya.

Zane sat back and shut his eyes as the ship took off in a cloud of smoke.
