Title: Sinan Estate

Padmé - January 9, 2007 01:56 AM (GMT)
A very grand estate that has been in the Sinan Family for countless generations stretching back to around 2000 years ago. They are very strict in the upkeeping of their lands and are ruthless in keeping tresspassers out.

Visitors must announce themselves

lewy - April 14, 2007 05:05 PM (GMT)
Resei recognized the place from the mans description.
He just hoped there would be someone there to welcome him, and he wasn't mistaken as a thief.
Or that they busted him as an infiltrator later on...

As he approached the building he saw something standing by the door.
He recognised it as a droid, but was not sure what type.
He guessed it would tell him when he spoke to it...

He smiled friendly as he approached it.

- Hello, Droid! Nice to meet you!

Padmé - April 14, 2007 05:16 PM (GMT)
"The Sinan Family stated that no one was to enter the compound without previous appointment.... If you have one, please present it and I will direct you through..."

The droid said in a cold manner

lewy - April 14, 2007 05:21 PM (GMT)
- Eeeh... I didn't know that...
I was planning to come here and ask for work...
Where do I get an appointment?

Resei was confused. The man on the platform hadn't mentioned.
Not that Resei had asked, but...

The droid looked at him and let out something that sounded like a sigh.
Resei didn't know droids could sigh, and he didn't believe it was a good thing either...
He stood there smiling confused, puzzled and perhaps a bit nervous,
waiting for the droid to answere.

Padmé - April 14, 2007 05:24 PM (GMT)
"There is no job applications here......"

The droid seemed fussy and impatient, although that was simply the way he was programmed to be.

"If you don't have an appointment, I'd move along Sir...."

lewy - April 14, 2007 05:35 PM (GMT)
- And I will, off course, but please answere my question first?
Resei tried to be polite so that the droid would not call for his masters to get rid of him.
Can you please tell me were I may make an appointment?

Resei thought the whole situation seemed weird.
Dragons flying in the blue skies above them, the beautifull nature all around them, and there they were- God knows how close to arguing!
Resei truly hoped the situation would stay under control.
He wouldn't like to be having to kill people already.
Besides the mission would be half a failure if he killed all the people here, he realized...

Padmé - April 14, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
"Appointments are made by meeting with Sir Sinan himself, and he approaches those he wishes to invite to his home....."

As the droid spoke, the door open and a middle aged man walked out.

"What's going on here?"

The droid seemed startled, "Oh my! Sir, this gentleman is enquiring about making an appointment, I told him th.."

The man interupted the droid, it was clear that this man was the droid's master, "Alright, shut up..... I don't know you stranger, explain yourself for being on my land!"

The man said to Resei firmly

lewy - April 14, 2007 09:29 PM (GMT)
- Ah, you must be the leader of this estate. Nice to meet you.
I am Resei Mantok. I used to be a member of a wealthy family on Coruscant.
Unfortunate happenings however, resulted in sending me and my family to the most uncivilized part of the galaxy.
It is, as you may hear, Tatooin...
We had a small farm there, but we got attacked by a specie named Tuskens.
Naughty little mankillers...
(here he made an angry and sorrowful face before continuing)
So here I am, almost bankerupt, trying to start a new life on a new planet.
I believe I could be a valuable asset to this noble estate due to my experiences.
I am not only a capable worker- I am also skilled when it comes to financial matters...
So if you will accept my humble request to join your estate as an employee, you will not only perhaps save my life, but also make the life of a certain wealthy person on this estate better.
(here he winked smartly)
So, Sir... Do I get a position here?

Resei smiled polite.
He had avoided lying, though perhaps manipulated the truth a bit.
The certain wealthy person on the estate would be the prisoner, for instance, but nobody could've guessed that, he thought.

He only waited, still polite smiling, at the answer...

Padmé - April 14, 2007 09:38 PM (GMT)
"What?! Don't be ridiculous! I don't have a clue who you are, and I don't trust the likes from Coruscant, they are all stuck up there! Begone! Leave my property!...... You should've told him to leave you stupid droid!"

The man shouted grumpily at his droid.

"But! But"

"Argh!" Sir Sinan left and went back into his home, the doors closing tight shut behind him.

It seemed it was all hopeless. But then,

"Psss...... Psss! You there!" A voice called from behind one of the turrets.

"Come here!" It was a young boy.

"Are you a bad guy? Like a Sith or something??" The little boy asked Resei curiously

lewy - April 14, 2007 09:57 PM (GMT)
- No, I am not. Perhaps I could be, but...
He smiled at the boy when he saw his reaction.
No, I am not unless I have to. Then perhaps. But you have nothing to fear from me, young one!

The little boy stared at him with huge eyes.

- Who are you then, and why do you make me delay the estate managers orders?

Resei thought the boy and the manager looked slightly alike.
He could be mistaking. Besides the manager looked like anybody.
But he could've happened to meet his son...
If nothing else worked out, however, and this was the managers son, he would perhaps have tp kidnap the boy.
And now was his best chance, he realised.
But he would let the young one speak, as he couldn't see a reason not to.

Padmé - April 14, 2007 10:04 PM (GMT)
"He's a bad guy, he never lets us kids play on his land, he's got so much of it!..... I saw at the end of that hill, a secret door, going under the ground we're on now, and to that house...... No one has ever used it, except the other day, these men took another man in there...... he didn't look happy at all....."

lewy - April 14, 2007 10:31 PM (GMT)
- They did? That's mean! Has he gotten out yet?

- No, not as I've seen. He didn't look mean... Why would they take him there?

- Know what? I think you should forget it. Now hurry away so you won't get caught here!

The boy quietly ran away.
Resei smiled as he looked after him, then he walked to the place the boy had told him about.
He equipped his rough clothes and his blaster, then he tried the door.
Locked. He had expected so.
He examined the door.
It was old, and he guessed he could open it if he bashed it with his blaster.
He did so, and grinned satisfied as it opened.

On the inside was a corridor leading towards the estate building.
At the end of it was another door, this one a little more modern.
It had a small hatch in it, and as Resei opened it he could see the room behind the door.
It was small, and contained only a bed.
In which he saw a figure sleeping.

- Hey, you, he whispered as loudly as he dared.
After repeating the call a number of times the figure on the small bed finally reacted.

He sat up, staring around in the room.

- Down here, at the door, Resei whispered again.

The figure looked at another door probably leading to the rest of the estate.

- The other door! Do you know any way to open this door silent?

lewy - April 14, 2007 11:04 PM (GMT)
- Who are you? the man suspiciously asked.

- I am here to free you. Now, how do you open this door silent?

- I don't believe you. Stop mocking me! I will get my revenge over you!!

- Shush! You idiot! I understand you don't believe me. But you have to! Now keep your voice down and tell me how to open this door secretly!

- Hrmpf... As you already know, you open it with a code. Enter it on the panel at your side.

- I don't know the code!

- Don't be silly! Stop this mockery!

- Argh... Well, are you capable of running?

- Yes, I can run a little... Why?

- I'm going to open this door in a less silent manner... Be ready to run out here!

Resei fokused, and with all his strenght he bashed the dor with his blaster.
It had little effect.
He realized he had to do it even more brutal...
But then he spotted a note besides the code panel.
He read it, and as he did he couldn't believe what he saw.
There was it, the code! They had to trust that nobody used the backdoor...

He had almost typed the first number in the code when he stopped.
This was to easy.
The code had to be coded! So that the guards and nobody else would be able to read it!
He considered it.

8973221045

Hm... He guessed if he typed the wrong password an alarm would sound in the estate.

- Come on, use the code! Seven numbers, the prisoner said tired.

Seven numbers?? Off course! He had to pluss togheter two and two numbers!
So clever...

1710419

That was it!
He typed it with his blaster ready to blast it open if neccesary, and after the seventh number the door slid open.

- Come on, run out here now, he told the prisoner.

The prisoner didn't recognize Resei as a guard, and decided to give it a try.
Why not?

Thogeter they ran out the corridor, and crouched once outside not to be spotted.
That saved their lives.
Two blasts hit were their heads had once been.
Resei quickly sent two shots at the man who had fired at them.
He hit him in the right arm, which he held a blaster pistol in.
He dropped it on the ground, srcreaming as Resei and the prisoner ran towards the landing platform.
