Ayanna fixed herself up a little before walking out of the Thranta with Kalin, and further into the city. she remembered disguising herself as a handmaiden here so long ago, but she could barely remember the purpose for it all.

They continued to walk towards the palace which stood high above all the mountains around them. It could no doubt be seen for miles around, "So what do you propose we do? How are we going to get in there?" She asked quietly.

"We'll convince the guards, we're diplomats to see the senator. If the object we'll just use a mindtrick to convince them. Works everytime!" Kalin said as he grinned.

They moved closer to the Royal Palace and the guards did block them. He moved up his hood as they got closer.
"Stop! Please state your business here!"

"We're diplomats from Coruscant, we have some business with Senator Organa. I'm sure she's expecting us."

"Excuse me for a moment." The guard sat and walked back to check the list, but nothing stated something of a meeting with diplomats of Coruscant of course.

"I'm sorry sir, but I'm gonna have to ask you to leave. There's nothing that states the senator is expecting you. If you want to see her, please make an appointment."

Kalin waves his fingers. "The senator is expecting us, you will bring us to her now..." Kalin said in a hypnotic tone.

The guard got influenced by his mindtrick and did as he requested bringing them inside the palace to see the senator.

Ayanna smiled a little as the guard then led them deep into the palace building itself, whispering to Kalin,

"That's another little trick you have to help me improve on...."

The guard led them to an office which overlooked the large lake which sat in the distance, and there at the desk sat the young Senator, Leia Organa, who looked up rather confused, but before being able to speak with the guard, he was already gone and back to his duties. She stared to them for a moment,

"I'm sorry but I wasn't informed of your visit... As far as I was aware there were none today..... So how can I help you?" She said as she tried to remain polite but was still suspicious about who these two people were.

Kalin had to think of something fast.

"We came to talk here about the safety of this beautiful planet. As diplomats we do speak for companies such as Kuat Drive Yards who also have expressed their concern, but it's not just these companies which show concern, but the Emperor himself too. We all know these are dark times and we came to negotiate if your planet wouldn't be safer if it had some artillery; some weapons to protect it."

Kalin gave a genuine sigh, cause he felt there was some connection between her and the little boy on Tatooine, but what exactly he couldn't make out. Maybe she was involved with the Rebellion too like her father? And maybe as Jedi he would join it? It was a likely scenario, but not very hopeful as Kalin thought there was not much hope for the rebellion.

She shook her head with a slight laugh as she raised from her seat and walked to them, "No I'm sorry... Alderaan has no weapons and that is an act of choice.... Not desperation.... We are a peaceful people and society..... Bringing anything as you suggested would only put that into jeapordy and I could not, as Senator, allow such a thing....." She said as she glanced to both of them, though she didn't entirely trust these were the real reasons that they were there, "I thank you for pleading your case, but now you have heard my opinion.... There are countless other systems that I am certain would be willing to take you up on that offer..... But I ask you.... If you had a blaster, and I did... Then we would both be prepared to use them and to hurt the other if necessary.... But if I make the choice to have none, then you know that no harm will come from me..... You could still wish to shoot me, but that would be savage....." She said as she looked to them before again and turned to walk back to her desk.

"This is not an offer, Senator. It's merely a suggeston, because other people are concerned about Alderaan's safety. Okay weapons would maybe not be the right choice, but installing a shield generator, in case something unexpected happens. I'm not trying to sound threatening or strike fear in your heart, but I'm just trying to make you understand that we come here with good intentions, Senator and we don't want to take the good morals and values that the people of Alderaan possess, away, but we are concerned about these people. Don't you understand why? If pirates attacked this planet and started a blockade, think of all the damage that could be done with no protection?!" Kalin pledged cause there was indeed something that could damage this planet good and that was the death star. Too bad Kalin didn't know how close he was to the truth.

"There's also something else we like to discuss, something more personal. It's about your parents..."

The Senator gave a smile, as though she finally was getting to the meat of it all, "Ah I see.... Are you involved in the media? Or are you working for one of the local policians..... I'm sorry but my parents are not any of your concern..... You came here concerning Alderaan's safety..... I have given you my response.... And my telling you about my parents, I'm afraid that has nothing to do with this planet's safety....." She smiled a little.

"No, but my parents knew yours, and they told me a lot of yours. The didn't know much of your real father, but they spoke a lot of your mother. I thought as two persons who lost their parents, we could share some information... Talk about it. Maybe then you'll understand why I'm so concerned in the first place." Kalin said as he pledged to talk to her.

She looked to him a little oddly, "I didn't catch your names...... But whoever you are.... If you are so concerned, my mother was Padmé Amidala.... She was the Senator of Naboo at the time she died.... I don't know who my real father was.... It seems her love affair was not known to anyone.... Or at least if it was then it was kept very quiet..... But, my parents.... The parents who raised me are the ones I concern with.... What happened to my real mother was sad and unforunate..... But there is nothing I can do to change that is there...... Now if you'll excuse me, I really do have a lot of work to do....." She insisted.

"Senator please, this doesn't only concern you, but me too! My father was known as Korbin Thalis. He knew your father and your mother. My mother was only known to me as Saiya. I never knew her family name. But she was great friends with your mother Padmé Amidala Sky..." Kalin stopped for a moment. "Padmé Amidala. My mother spoke always very high of your mother and I even saw holo-images with him and her together. Unfotuntely I don't have them in my possession anymore. You have to believe me!"

She nodded, "I'm sure you do.... But don't you understand? My parents are the ones who raised me.... I'm not going to get myself attached to such selfish notions to seek out my birth parents..... Mr..... Thalis I guess? If your father was Korbin Thalis..... I have no desire to seek out my birth parents..... We learn from the past Mr Thalis not run back to it..... I have the future to consider.... I have the fate of this very planet to consider..... I appreciate why you have come here to me with this..... But please.... I have already said too much, and I have a lot of work to do...." She insisted once again.

Ayanna looked to him, she had not realized until this moment that Leia Organa was also the daughter of Anakin Skywalker. She found it unbelievable. But she was the same age as that boy, they must have been twins, but it was so rare for a girl and boy to come from a twin birth. Perhaps it was the will of the Force itself, she wondered.

"Yes we are suppose to learn from the past and I intend to do that. Ok, I know you have an astromech droid in your possession by the name of R2-D2. A droid that has a lot of data on our parents, your and mine. And I'm in possession of the codes to could reveal that data to us. The droid never showed you it as it was programmed, thus forbidden to reveal anything. So we have three options here, but I hope you'll consider the first two. Either we buy this droid and we'll leave you to your work, either we observe this data together and we'll leave the droid with you or you can just send us away, leaving everbody in ignorance... It's your call Senator!"

Kalin was partially lying, cause he was not ready to reveal anything yet with the Senator even if she was a Skywalker, it felt like it was somehow too soon for her to know these secrets.

"I will present a fourth option.... If you are so intending on finding out information on your family, then why don't you research it on your own..... Artoo is in the next room..... Then you can leave me to my work, and find out what you need to know....." She said as she stared back at them.

Kalin gave a friendly smile. "I am very grateful you trust us with this, and I'm terribly sorry to have bothered you like this. But we will go now and as I said I'm eternally grateful."

Kalin and Ayanna walked into the chamber she referred to, though here came the more serious, less acting work. Kalin moved to the wall and said: "Hey what's that?!" while he placed his finger on his mouth for Ayanna to not say a thing. Then he destroyed the security camera.

"Quickly let's get a restraining bolt on this droid and get out of here!"

Kalin had to move fast, "You belong to us now, blue one. Now follow us!" Artoo did exactly as ordered. Kalin took out some gas tube and placed it under the door of the senator's office. He released the gas inside the chamber, as the Senator fell with her head on the desk. Kalin opened the door again to the office.

"Don't worry, she's only sleeping. you didn't think I would kill her, did you?! We have to hurry!"

Ayanna was very shocked at what he did, "Kalin!! What are you doing?! Why couldn't we have researched the droid here as she asked?" She said concerned, though she followed Kalin as fast as she could. She just felt guilty at what had happened to the Senator.

"No I'm taking this thing with me, I need a lot more time to figure everything out. So I'm not going to spend all my time doing that inside that room. Don't worry about the senator. She's only sleeping. She'll wake up and feel a little bothered her droid is gone. But she'll get it back in time. She needs the droid and I'm not going to steal it, I'm just borrowing it!" Kalin said with a hard voice, cause he had to find his way out, without using too much violence.

"Quickly I think there's something wrong with the Senator, she passed out! Go! And help her, you stupid" He yelled to the guards who were a little puzzled what to do. They couldn't stop Kalin and they were afraid he was saying the truth, so concerned about the senator they ran to her office abandoning their post, but clearing the way for Kalin and Ayanna to escape.

Kalin didn't waste any time. He did as usual to get passed the guards. But how the princess was going to react this time was going to be more difficult. He had to convince her not to call any security. He brought himself to the droid's level.

"Now Artoo, I know I forced you to come with us in the beginning, but you understand the purpose of it, right? I'm not a thief. That's why I'm returning you to the princess. You belong with her and she needs you. I would like to keep you, but she didn't agree to sell you to me. It's unfortunate, cause I like you, my little fella! But I'm asking you one last time for help. Cause the Princess is never going to believe you helped me by your own will. But I think you're smart, that's why you trusted me. So will you help me convince her."

The droid beeped as an answer, though Kalin couldn't understand what he said, by the sound of it, it seemed the droid accepted to help Kalin one last time.

"Ok, thanks, buddy!"

Kalin rose from his feet and together the two of them walked back to the Senator's office. The door opened and the Princess looked alarmed but she could keep herself calm, but Kalin had to react fast, cause no doubt she would call security.

"Hello Senator. I'm terribly sorry for all the trouble I caused you last time. BUT I'm not a thief. That's why I brought Artoo back. I only wanted him for a short time to uncover the truth. I couldn't have done it on Alderaan. Artoo had to see the past himself to uncover it. Now my work is done and I return him to you, though with reluctance. Cause we're best pals now." Kalin said as he gave a little laugh. Artoo gave a funny tune himself.

Princess Leia looked concerned as she stared to Kalin, then to Artoo, "How am I do know that he has not been reprogrammed.... There are countless possibilities of things you could have done to Artoo.... Ways of spying on me, tracking my moves.... Tracking any information that I give to Artoo... Even ways of killing me..... Artoo has always been with me.... Now I don't know whether it is wise to accept him back from you.... Why did you see it necessary to do what you did? I already gave you the opportunity to get the information you wanted in private.... Why all of this?..... You are lucky I do not call the guards in here to have to escorted out.... Let the Empire deal with you perhaps..." She said, though she didn't like using the Empire as an example.

"If you wish to examine the droid whether it's dangerous or reprogrammed, feel free to do so. I speak the truth and don't fear to be held in custody if you do not trust me. I told you one lie. I told you I had the codes to unlock certain recordings the droid made. That wasn't true. The droid could only show these recordings when I brought him to these exact locations, otherwise he would never play it. That is why I apologize for. But furthermore I have told you no lie, anything else is the truth. If I truly wanted him to kill you, I could have programmed him to do so, without stealing it. After all, you left me on my own with the droid so why would I go through all the hassle to steal it. No senator, I'm speaking the truth." Kalin said determined.

She nodded, before then calling one of her assistants into the room, "Take Artoo and get him checked out..... Completely...." She said as she gave Artoo a little smile, she was glad to see him back again, though she couldn't risk any more than she had, "Right Mr Thalis..... You are free to go.... But I think it best that you refrain from coming here again.... You told one lie, that is enough for me not to trust you..... But I will not hold you in custody......" She said as she looked to him for a moment, wondering what had possessed him to do such a thing. What had been so important that he felt he had to steal Artoo, "You may go now....." She said quietly as she turned and walked to the balcony.

Kalin nodded though he thought this was too easy. Maybe he thought the senator even to be too trusting. It was maybe stupid of him to say so, cause he was free to go, but something told me he had to. "I thank you for your confidence, but you are too trusting. I told you the truth, but how can you be sure?! If I was an imperial officer, would you also believe me on my word?! How do you know I don't work for the Empire. I don't, but I warn you Senator that your trust in people might bring yourself in grave danger once, or your people. That is not a threat. It's just friendly advice... A warning."

She turned and looked to him, "Because of Artoo..... He seems fine, and he seems to trust you.... So I guess he must have a reason for this..... I am still having him checked..... But in all honesty I don't expect anything out of the ordinary to be found..... But still... I don't think it wise for you to return here.... If you had approached this better then perhaps...." She sighed, "I have work to do.... And apparently you got all the information you needed from him..... But it has nothing to do with me....." She said in a firm manner.

"It does, Senator. I wish you would have believed that from the start. If you had seen the things I've seen, you would not speak this way. And I remind you of my warning. Also I would remind you of my other one. The protection of this planet. I am truly worried about it, but I respect your wisdom and will not bother you about it any longer. Goodbye Senator!" Kalin said as he nodded. But as he walked away he found the Senator to be naive. She was far too trusting and leaving the planet unprotected was stupid. The planet might be peaceful, but these weren't peaceful times. Then he though back of Artoo. He was going to miss him, and regretted the Senator didn't want to sell Artoo to him. Kalin walked back to the Thranta and this time he didn't have to use any mindtricks to get passed the security as the Senator already offered to let him go without any trouble.
