The ship finally came out of hyperspace and landed on the planet of Lianna. Ayanna was feeling more confident after her little 'heart to heart' with Asajj Ventress, she felt more comfortable that she would not be sliced in the back, anytime soon anyway. Ayanna looked around at the surface, "I don't even know where to begin..... You said the Empire doesn't have a presence here.... But what if the Empire is able to find out the Thranta was here? Likely they will find out soon that it left Felucia, then what will happen? Will they suspect Kalin? Or me?......" She asked so many questions of worry at once.

"Oh the Empire is present here all right, I never said it was. The government just keeps itself neutral in the Civil War. They produce Tie Fighters for the Empire, but they also bribed Senators and others to keep themselves off-sided. So now the Empire doesn't care where there Allegiance lies. As long as the production of Tie-Fighters doesn't stop, then this system is safe from the Empire."

"As you can see, this system is very advanced. Just look at those skyscrapers! The only bigger ones are the ones' I've seen on Coruscant. But which system can beat those! We should try to find a facility nearby which can help us with a new hyperdrive and try to avoid any contact with Stormtroopers."

"Is that a suggestion or a challenge?" She said almost laughing.

They began to make their way through the enormous city, Ayanna didn't even know where to begin, "There must be a low key dealer around here somewhere....; I don't want to go to anything too busy......" She said as she always kept herself on guard for any Imperials. She was surprised to see a planet such as this in the Outer Rim, most were fairly low key planets, but this was one to behold.

"Amazing isn't it. You would really wonder. What is such a planet, doing in the Outer Rim..."

They walked further but found nothing or nobody who could help repairing the ship.

"Now we don't have a choice anymore. We have to get into the Tie-Fighter facility to find help! This is going to be risky!"

"Oh great..... This is going to be easy!" She said sarcastically. They continued to walk until finally the facility was before them, she did not like the idea of waltzing in there, with her getting ID'd with Asajj Ventress as her accomplice, "Right.... You're a woman of the galaxy..... You've been near and far, what do we have to expect in there..... And more importantly, how are we going to get the parts back to the Thranta without getting too much attention....." She said with certainty that they were going to get killed for sure.

"We'll just have to find a way, won't we. Keep your hand close to your lightsaber and keep a low profile. If you get spotted by a stormtrooper take them out as fast as you can. This facility is probably not that heavily guarded, considering the fact this planets hold barely any allegiance to the empire! And that is our advantage!"

Both sneaked inside the facility. They saw the mass production of Tie-Fighters, but Tie-Fighters were pretty useless to them as they had no hyperdrive engines.

"If you see any engineers around, tell me. This facility is completely automated, so our only chance is to use the Force on one of the engineers. We'll have to try to manipulate one of them."

She looked around but she didn't know what she was looking for. There were sparks and flames everywhere from all the workings of the factory, and the droids that were going to and fro with the building almost made her dizzy. They tried to navigate as quietly as possible through the corridors, but it was a maze of metal, "This is a nightmare, we're going to be seen...." Ayanna said worried but kept her voice quiet. Suddenly, she heard something, almost sounded like a sneeze. Ayanna then signalled over to one of the rooms, where an officer stood over a computer, though it was uncertain what he was doing, "What do you think?" She asked to Ventress.

Ventress said: "I'm not sure that guy is an engineer, but go to him and try to talk him. Act naive or something... Or just act like yourself. Anyway try to get some information out of him. Check out what he knows! Then I can later join you to take him out. Either by force or with a mind trick."

Ayanna seemed a little afraid to do so,

"Common, it's you who has to do it. The guy is not going to fall for my 'young' looks anymore. I've always been ugly." She sighed, "But I'm sure you can charm him with your young and 'seductive' look." She grinned.

Ayanna knew she didn't have much of a choice. She knocked on the door and looked around the room before gazing to the man himself, "Hi there.... I need to fix my speeder.... I crashed into some idiot.... Well actually HE crashed into me, long story, and well... I need it fixed... If my daddy sees that he's never going to let me go out again!" She said as she walked further into the room, making sure to swing her hips as she did so, "Oh wow.... Are you like..... Do you own this place? Sorry for barging in just your droids aren't very helpful.... Or NICE for that matter...." She said in a naive, bratty sort of way.

The man laughed at the naive talking Ayanna did.

"Sorry, but you shouldn't be here! I would like to help, but we don't do repairs here and certainly not for speeders."

In the mean time Asajj Ventress had sneaked up to him. Surprised he turned around and Ventress used a mind trick on him.

"You will help us!" She said as she tried to control his mind.

"I will help you!" He repeated after her.

"You will follow us to our ship and be heavily rewarded!" She said again controlling his mind.

"I will follow you and be heavily rewarded." The man said once again in a monotone voice.

"Okay, I think we got him, now let's get out of here before anyone else notices us." Ventress said to Ayanna.

All three walked out of the facility and due to the lack of security, they didn't have much trouble to get out of there in one piece.

They headed back to the Thranta where Ventress kept controlling his mind to fix the hyperdrive. He told her about the parts they would need. So she did another mindtrick on him so he would get the parts for her they needed to repair the ship. He left the ship still under control of her mindtrick.

"Well that wasn't so difficult" She said a bit overconfident.

Ayanna seemed somewhat overconfident too, "I have to say that went a lot smoother than I expected.... I really thought we were going to be running for our lives most of the time..." She laughed, "What should we do with him once he's done fixing the Thranta?..." She asked, but then her mind dwelled on to Kalin. She hoped he was alright, it would not be long until she would finally be able to make contact with him again. She only hoped that he had been able to protect himself from Vader.

"I don't know... When he is released from my mind trick, he won't remember a thing, so there's no point killing him. Or do you think it would be too dangerous to leave him alive, Ayanna?!" She asked as almost a test. She knew what Ayanna was thinking of.

"Don't worry about Kalin, he'll be fine. Vader considers Kalin to be too valuable. Much more valuable than his former apprentice. But if he pushes his luck than I'm afraid Vader won't be as merciful as he has been in the past. Luckily Kalin hasn't crossed the line yet, though last time it became pretty close, didn't it Ayanna..."

She nodded as she continued to worry about him, but then thought back to the engineer they now had in their posession, "If he won't remember anything then just let him go..... We'll blind fold him firstly..... Leave him far away from here so it will be longer for him to report back to base......" She said as she did not like the idea of killing the guy, which was unusual as not so long ago she was completely keen for her and Kalin to kill Asajj Ventress herself. But she did not see either deaths as necessary anymore. Though she could not explain the change that she felt or why. She even worried that it was a bad sign about her, and kept it to herself.

The man continued his work on the hyperdrive. Now that he had all the parts he needed from the facility, it wouldn't take long for him to repair it. Mean while Ventress and Ayanna continued talking,

"Ayanna, if I may ask. How much do you remember your mother?"

She paused and didn't know if Ayanna was ready to reveal anything on the subject,

"I know it might be a sensitive subject to talk about, but if you share your knowledge with me, I could share mine. Though I'm not entirely sure, you're ready for it. Some things are better left untold. I can already tell you, I knew her, but first you have to tell me what you remember of her and what you know of your grandmother, the Dark Woman. How was their bond together.

She sighed a little, "I remember my mother pretty well.... She was a little unpredictable.... One minutes she was kind and loving, the next strict and obsessive..... My father did much to protect me from her moods but in the end they both died together at the hands of Li....... With my mother and The Dark Woman...... Anya..... They were very close..... And it was her death that really tore my mother apart I guess......." She said as she looked back to Asajj, "Did you say you knew my mother?...... Or did you mean.... Anya...." She said a little confused.

"I knew both.... I knew aswell your mother and your grandmother. Though I knew your grandmother better than your mother. I fought her in the Clone Wars. I respected her as an enemy as she also had a Dark Side to her. I found it ironic that as a Jedi she called herself 'The Dark Woman'."

"Your mother on the other hand was very different than An'ya. In one way she had the same strictness as An'ya, but her goals were very different. She was a lot more vengeful than your grandmother. I learned about her death, then I met your mother from time to time, though I'm not sure she really liked me, but she pretended she did at least."

"That sounds like her...... She didn't like anyone really..... I'm surprised her and my father were even together.... I can't imagine how they became a couple at all... especially with her being the way she was..... How did you meet my mother? Under what circumstances?" She asked curiously.

"Well, when she wasn't with you, she always was looking for... 'something'. We met up and I betrayed... I helped her find what she was looking for... Which I shouldn't have done..." She sighed.

The man came in the cockpit where they both sat,

"Okay, the hyperdrive is fixed! What do you want me to do next!"

Ventress stepped closer to him and waved her fingers again in front of him.

"Now you will sit outside and forget about all this. You will wait for two hours, then you will return to the facility!" She said and the man repeated it afterwards.

He left the Thranta, so now the duo could finally leave the system behind. Now it was only time to rendez-vous with Kalin. But now that the hyperdrive was fixed, they could also return to Korriban, if they wanted.

"It would be dangerous to do so, but if I stay in the ship, would they suspect you? I'm willing to take that chance. You can say that you were left behind to wield the Thranta as Kalin had to stay on board the Devastator..."

She shook her head, "I'm not going to risk that..... Not yet.... First thing is I will try to contact Kalin.... Then he will hopefully be able to come and meet with us, if there is a problem.... Then I will drop you off somewhere until we can meet up again... I don't want to risk something happening and you being found if I take you to Korriban....." She said as they walked back to the cockpit to make the preparations to go to Hyperspace once again, "I just hope Kalin is alright...... He didn't seem certain of his chances before...... What's your opinion? Do you think Vader suspects?" She asked.

"Probably he does... He's not stupid you know... Vader has learned much since when he was a mere Jedi. I wasn't surprised when I heard he walked off that path. It was ignorant from the Jedi to not see it coming. I saw it coming and so did Dooku, though he underestimated Vader as a Jedi. But I guess I did too in the beginning. Now I don't anymore... I know what that man is capable of.... If you can still call him a man that is."

She paused before she continued to speak,

"Anyway, why don't you make contact with Kalin, so we can meet up with him. He must be worried about you..."

Ayanna nodded as she locked on to make a transmission, "Kalin..... Kalin..... Do you copy.... Kalin.... Please confirm you're getting this message......" She spoke repeatidly though it could be a time before she would get a response from him, "I sure hope he's alright....." She said worried before she began to say the message once again.

"Yeah I'm here, I hear you loud and clear, tell me did you find her?!" Kalin spoke, but he couldn't speak Asajj Ventress' name as he feared somebody else could be listening.

"Just give me the coördinates and I'll try to get there as soon as possible!"

Kalin waited for a reply but he already felt relieved that Ayanna was still alive and by the sounds of it everything turned out okay, though he feared otherwise.

She smiled to hear Kalin's voice again, though of course he could not see that, "Alright sending them through.... Hurry...." She said as she closed the transmission. She sat back as she sighed, she was relieved it was all over with, "Listen..... Thanks Asajj.... I know I can be a little hot headed but I'm never too proud to admitt when I'm wrong.... And I was wrong about you..... So for what it's worth, I'm sorry I was so quick to judge you..... Things aren't always just black and white, I know..... But I didn't follow that advice when I first met you...." She said feeling a little ashamed.

Asajj Ventress just smiled. She wasn't used to be complimented like this. And maybe this was the first time she actually liked it, cause normally she would hate all this mushy talk like this.

"I'm glad I could be of help, Ayanna. Now let's just hope Kalin gets over here as soon as possible."

Mean while on Korriban Kalin ran out of his quarters and sneaked in the hanger bays, taking one of the Sith Interceptors. It didn't fly away unnoticed, but with leaving the atmosphere it was impossible for the others, to catch up with him. He brought the small starfighter to hyperspace, so he would make it as fast as he could to Lianna.

Ayanna and Asajj spent many hours talking while they waited for Kalin to arrive. mainly about their own pasts, "I still think there was something strange about my father though..." Ayanna continued, "He and my mother were so different..... Yet why did she stay with him? When she was always trying to run away..... He wasn't violent or anything, he didn't force her to stay, he just did but it was like it was against her will or something......" She said as she thought back on it a little further, "My father was Rune Nyx..... He was from Dantooine originally..... I think anyway....."

"He stayed with you to protect you. He couldn't allow that you would receive the influence she intended... He didn't want you to become as vengeful as your mother, cause that is what she wanted you to become. But now... You are neither what you're mother or your grandmother wanted to become... A dark Jedi!"

"Oh don't think I blame you, Ayanna, but is it so much better to be one. Would turning to the good side be better?! I doubt it. I for myself don't want to be either anymore. It's not my problem. I have new goals that doesn't concern the Jedi or the Sith. But Kalin is part of it, but since he serves Vader, he's not ready yet."

Kalin arrived very shortly and pressed the right buttons, so the ramp of the Thranta lowered. He heard the voices that came from the cockpit and proceeded to it,

"Hey you two, are you alright?!"

Ayanna smiled as she saw him, "Oh we're fine..." She said a little sarcaastically as she looked to Asajj Ventress, "Are you alright? What happened on Korriban?" She asked worried about what they would have waiting for them when they returned.

"Well Vader dropped me off on Korriban, but couldn't stay as he had to deal with other affairs on the Death Star. I was lucky I could avoid the other Grand Masters of the Academy, as they probably would have taken me to the interrogation chamber and who knows what could have happened there!?" Kalin said as he felt lucky after all what had happened. It was a miracle all were still in one piece. Though maybe it was the Will of the Force, but he didn't believe that,

"Seems you two became close pals while I was away. I'm glad you are both okay. You too Ventress. After I helped you escape I hope we could get a better understanding with each other. I don't want to see you as my prisoner anymore, but as my ally. Though I don't know how current situations are between you two. At least I don't see you two chopping each other's head off. I expected worse, especially from you Ventress. But can you blame me for thinking so!?" He grinned.

"It's alright Kalin....... Asajj and I have an understanding now ourselves..... We talked a lot of it out..... And.... I trust her...." She decided to proclaim to both, "And it turns out she knew both our mothers..... Small galaxy huh....." She said, though perhaps she shouldn't have but felt it may cause a stronger bond between them all.

Kalin was surprised Asajj Ventress did know his mother. There were a lot of questions on his mind, but unfortunately there was no time for that.

"Okay let me take over, we'll have to travel to a nearby system that isn't as occupied as this. A system where we can have some rest and privacy."

Kalin looked at the galaxy map where he studied all nearby systems of Lianna.

"Do you think we can make it to Kashyyyk? It's a long run, but I have some friends there who could help us out. It's not a nearby system, but it's not that far either. I think we could make it. I think you would really like it there, Ayanna. It's a forest planet, your kind of joint!" He grinned.

Ventress nodded: "Kashyyyk it is then!"
