As the Inner Fire flew over Coruscant Jikkata stared through the viewport. The entire planet seemed covered in lights and durasteel and glass towers that rivaled even the wroshyr trees of his home. As they began to dock, Jikkata sat back down at the console. He had been searching for a way to pass unhindered in the city, a way that could keep Imperial soldiers from hassling him. He had finally come up with a way, it wouldn't last forever but it could probably work for at least this trip.
Jikkata stood before a mirror, his usual belt missing now he wore a glossy belt of some kind of plant fibers. A similiar strap went across his broad torso and over one shoulder, this one woven in with stones that looked attractive but were truthfully inexpensive. He had also ran a few streaks of dye into his fur, making himself look somewhat older.
Maxil, his pilot asked him, "Whats with the get up?" Jikkata stood at his full height, puffing his chest out and gesturing pompously," A free Wookiee in the Empire these days is a rare sight, furthermore the Emperor isn't too kind towards Non-Humans. So any aliens in a high profile place must have some sort of status, or be useful in some way. I couldn't quite pass for a Senator, however the Senate runs many smaller commitees and bureaus that have the ear of the Senate, which mostly does whatever the Emperor tells it. I'm going to use a false identity, Ciirpirrkabukk, a member of the Imperial Trade Commission. Sort of a Trade Federation or Merchants guild controlled by the Senate. Not high enough for them too make too much of a big deal about my being there, I'll be important enough for them to leave me alone and get me in the Opera House..." he paused looking in the mirror,
"At least...I hope so." he growled.
His new disguise complete he and his droid left Maxil to watch the ship and went out in search of the Opera House.
The air-taxi dropped Jikkata and 2D0 off at the spaceport and they navigated their way back to the Inner Fire. Maxil was on top of the ship doing a few touch-ups while the refueling finished. Jikkata gave a loud bellow to announce their return and waved.
Maxil lifted the welding visor and a grin broke out on his grease-smudged face. "Hey,hey!" he called," You made it back in one piece, furball!" Jikkata grinned and then gave him a look of feigned menace, "Yeah and watch that furball stuff!" he snarled jokingly.
"Well, the ships ready to go when you are, boss!" Maxil said finishing up his work and climbing down. Jikkata hooted a affirmative and strolled up the boarding ramp.
Inside, he removed the flashy belt and donned his more practicaly utility belt. He made a sour face looking at the dye he'd used in his disguise. "I'll be glad to wash this junk out, but hey! I didn't have any stormtroopers shake me down or try and sell me into slavery." He grinned and removed his blaster from it's hidden palce in Toodee. "Thank heavens!" the droid exclaimed, "I was so worried that thing would get jostled and burn a whole through my motivator!"
Jikkata patted the droid on the head and made his way to the cockpit where Maxil was readying the ship. "Good job everyone...now let's go home!"
With that the Inner Fire launched out of the hangar and soon left Coruscant behind.
Kalin and Ayanna just arrived before the 'Inner Fire' could spread out throughout the large traffic of Coruscant. They had followed the Wookiee all the way around and it was not easy to be detected as he did have a nose if someone was following. Luckily Kalin and Ayanna could easily hide in the shadows if necessary.
The Wookiee entered his ship and Kalin waited before the ship left. Only if it would leave, he could place the homing beacon on the hull undetected. He used the Force, to guide the homing beacon and it attached itself right on the hull of the ship and it finally left the atmosphere before mixing with the traffic.
Kalin and Ayanna moved back to the Thranta where they could track down the ship. But they already had a hunch where it was going to. If the Wookiee indeed was heading for Yavin IV, then they knew if he was a rebel. But they were not planning to betray him as they didn't betray the location of the rebel base either. For no reason, Kalin didn't want to. Maybe he saw the rebellion as hopeless if they really knew what was awaiting them.
