General Description: Jikkata stands at roughly 7 feet about the average height of a young Wookiee. He has a powerful, heavily muscled frame. His fur is a dark brown and spans several shades. Bands of dark stripes line his arms and chest; he also has an almost mask-like black pattern around his eyes. His eyes often hold a twinkle of jovial humor, though they can change to sparks of fearsome determination.

Clothing: His protective fur removes the need for much clothing, though he does wear a wide belt with lots of pockets and pockets for carrying equipment and a bandolier across his chest.

Weapons: None yet.

Other Equipment: (Possibly a small translation droid? It’d be up to the mods, it might be kind of fun to wing it without but might be a hassle for communicating with other characters?)

Transportation: None.

Inventory: 500 credits probably has a hydrospanner tucked away somewhere.

Family: Was raised by his parents however they were captured by the Empire with the intention of making them slaves, he was separated from his parents. He has no idea if they managed to escape or were sent to Imperial labor camps.

History: Jikkata was born near Kachirho on the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk, sometime near the end of the Clone Wars. At the time the Wookiees were doing well having repelled the droid invasion and for a time Jikkata lived a peaceful life. His parents raised him in the proud Wookiee tradition which involved his Hrrtayyk, The Wookiee coming of age ceremony where young hunters learn to survive in the dangerous, floor level of the wroshyr forests. It was not long after this that Emperor Palpatine reinstated slavery into the Empire making the Wookiees targets of slavers. When Jikkata’s family was attacked by slavers, his parents fought them off while he escaped. Having nowhere else to go he plunged into the Shadowlands, where the Imperial troops would not follow. There he used every ounce of his survival training to avoid the lethal fauna of the forest floor. He remained there for several days until things calmed down topside, carefully making his way back to the treetop cities of his people. He discovered that while some Wookiees had also evaded capture most were fighting an all out battle against the slavers and yet there was little hope of success. He could find no news of his parents unsure if they escaped, were captured or even killed. He evaded Imperial troopers and stowed away on a ship leaving his home behind.
Unable to return home due to a combination of slavers and Imperial blockade, Jikkata hopped from port to port. Sometimes he was forced to remain in a city for several years, scraping out a living however he could. He discovered that he like many of his kind, had an affinity for tinkering with machines. He nurtured this interest and it gave him some skills to get by. He continued his nomadic wanderings, trying to seek out other Wookiees for news of home or his parents. Several times people tried to capture him for the slave trade but he managed to hold his own, however he began to fill frustrated with the plight of his people. Many times he and other wandering Wookiees would band together and attempted to free some of their brethren, sometimes they were even successful but overall that were untrained and too small in numbers to impact the slave trade. Jikkata would not allow bitterness or despair to grip him, his resolve only increased but he knew there had to be some way he could end this oppression.
It was then that in the spaceports, dives and back alleys he began to hear rumors of a Rebellion against the Empire. Over time the rumors increased and soon the existence of the Rebellion became more common knowledge. Everywhere he went Jikkata would gather more and more stories of these Rebels and get as much information as he could. Soon he believed had enough information to make contact. He’d finally found his path.


RP Sample: Jikkata watched carefully as he hunkered down beside the human. The flashes of light glinted off the safety goggles the Wookiee wore. The human, a old spacer who had taken it upon himself to pass his wisdom onto Jikkata was demonstrating some repairs while lecturing. “Now amateurs will try to route it this way but that’s kid stuff, I mean you only do that if your worried abo—“ About then the lights on the ship flickered as the wires and circuits hissed loudly, with big crackling sparks bursting out of the panel. The lights finally went dead. “What the blazes is going on back there?!” the captain of his ship yelled from the cockpit. “Uh…nothing, sir, Just a malfunction! Have it fixed in a jiffy!” the man called back. Jikkata gave a sharp grunting laugh, “Kid’s stuff,huh?” he growled in his native tongue. Luckily this old space knew Shyriiwook. Jikkata fished his hydrospanner from his belt and tinkered around a few moments and the lights came back on. He gave a wide toothy grin at his would be mentor. “Laugh it up, fuzzball, hey why don’t you make yourself useful and get those crates in cargo ready to unload?” the man grumbled. Jikkata removed his goggles, pretending to wipe a tear of laughter from his eyes while stood his full height, which made it somewhat cramped in the ship. “Say, can you show me how to break the hyperdrive next? It keeps awake with it’s humming.” He rumbled to the man. “Har har,wook. Now geta move on with those creates we’re behind schedule as it is. I’ll finish up here.”
As Jikkata continued down the corridor to the cargo hold the lights flickered and he heard the man saying things that would make a Hutt blush.
