Title: Incognito

Taves Sarfell - January 29, 2008 11:08 PM (GMT)
The ship landed on Naboo and the three Knights stepped out of the ship. Taves looked around, taking in the sights of Naboo. He had seen planets that had foliage in the abundance Naboo had. However there was something different in the way things were on Naboo. Always on forest like planets Taves had seen the plants seemed to have a savage domineering nature to them. Here on Naboo the plants instead seemed to grow in harmony with the world that was built around it. There was something peaceful in it.

Alia went off toward a place where she could find passage to Otah Gunga. Taves turned to Zen. It was late afternoon where they were so they had some time to spend getting ready for their mission since it would be more prudent to sneak into the palace at night. "Any idea what we should do in the meantime?" asked Taves

"We should check into a hotel, one that will allow us access to a map of the city, that way we can meditate on our plans and find away to get to the palace without imperial interference".

He looked around, at the exit of the hangars stood two storm troopers.
He was not happy to see them.

Taves looked over to where Zen had seen the two stormtroopers. Taves also had a bad feeling about this. No doubt the rumors of the queen's sympathies toward the Jedi had drawn more Imperial attention to the planet. Taves could tell that Zen's intentions were well placed, and they were going to need knowledge of the city. However, Taves had a bad feeling about checking into a hotel.

"Maybe we should rely on the ship as a means of shelter, but we should search for a map. Using a hotel might leave us vulnerable to being tracked." Taves could feel his old bounty hunter senses and paranoias coming back to him. He saw that his old profession, though dark still offered him skills that could prove very useful in the road to come.

"There are" he said "different ways of finding information than through the public exchange of it. We might want to make a plunge into the dark underbelly of Naboo. We might even be able to find a way into the palace that most of the guards don't know about, but if we're going to find a way into the palace we should do it fast. I have a feeling we are attracting more attention than we need right now."

Taves motioned over to the two stormtroopers who at this point seemed to have picked them out of the crowd. "We should leave this place anyway."

The troopers slowly moved towards them, zen looked toward the back of the YT-1300, there was a small alley way used by the Hangars engineers.

"This way", Zen said.
he lead Taves into the Alley, "They are still coming, i can sense them, they have increased speed".

Zen stopped still, "We have a chance to train, if not, we're most likely dead" He grinned.

The troopers ran into the alley, "Stop" one of them said, "Show me your identification!".

Zen smiled, moving his hand slightly, "You don't need to see my identification"

The trooper grunted, "Funny guy are we?"

Damn, Zen thought, he decided to try again, this time he summoned the force with all his strength.

"You don't need to see my Identification", he moved his hand a little more than last time.

The trooper suddenly changed stance to slumped relaxed look, "We don't need to see his identification". The two troopers turned and walked away.

"I'm glad that worked". Zen laughed, "troopers are easy minded".

Taves Sarfell - January 30, 2008 11:22 PM (GMT)
Taves wasn't quite taken aback by Zen's accomplishment. He had seen that Zen held great potential in the Force, but this was quite an accomplishment none the less. "Very well done" he remarked. "Now if only we could only find a way to get into the castle that's as expedient."

"You need to get into the palace?" a greasy voice behind them said. Taves turned around to see a hunched little man in tattered robes looking at him. Taves looked at him. His eyes turned to narrow slits. He took a long hard look at him, wondering if it was wise to disclose their business to a man who didn't seem the most trustworthy of sorts. Taves sensed no trace of treachery from the man, as long as a substantial pay off was involved. "Are you working under the delusion that we need something from you?" asked Taves, using a sarcastic tone.

He started to turn around to 'leave', but the man called out to him. "Anyone could have use of what I offer" said the man. Taves looked back at him. "What is it your asking?" asked Taves, knowing that that was the question he wanted to hear first. The man licked his lips and looked at Taves, seeing he had his interest. "I was thinking something along the lines of 500 credits" the man said. Taves looked at him again with great concentration. "What is it you're offering?" Taves asked. This being the question he wanted answered most. The man pulled out a small holo-projector and activated it. A holo-blueprint of the palace popped out at them. "These are the blueprints to the palace, down to the flower pots on the furniture."

Taves looked at him, wondering how he could have gotten such a thing. "How is it you got them. No one would want stolen goods like that." The man looked indignantly at them. "I'm no thief. I was a janitor in the palace until I was caught sleeping on the job." Taves could sense he wasn't lying about this statement.

He turned to Zen, knowing he should consult him before anymore talking was done. "Well what do you think? He doesn't seem to be lying, and I can pay him. With a tip he probably won't talk even if he's arrested. Torture however is another matter, but we'll be long gone before things would come to that."

He pulled Taves to the side, "I am unsure, its not very... Jedi like". Though he felt it was not the moral thing to do, he also felt the man was being truthful, he thought on what he had just said, If the man had obtained this item because he had worked there then purchasing it would be a truthful honest thing to do.

Take it, Zen looked to the man, "We will pay you 700 credits, 500 for the item, 200 more for your helpfulness and secrecy".

He looked at Taves hoping he would agree.

Taves Sarfell - January 31, 2008 12:19 AM (GMT)
"It's a little heavy on my wallet" Taves said, giving Zen a secretive wink. "But I'll foot the bill." Taves pulled a wad of credits out of his pocket and counted out 700. He gave it to the man, who exchanged the projector for them. "Nice doing business with you" he said with a smile. Taves looked at the projector and activated it. Again the blueprints appeared before them.

"Well here's our ticket into the palace." Taves looked at the blueprints carefully. "Here!" he said, finding what he was looking for. "There is a passage from the waterfront directly in front of the palace that leads into the hangar for the Royal starships." He pointed at the spot he referred to on the map. "That should be the closest to the main building as we can get."

He deactivated the projector and looked at Zen. "Any other ideas?" asked Taves.

OOC: If you have nothing else to post here just say you agreed and we can start at night in the palace
