Full Name: Rasha Vartil

Nickname(s):

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Homeworld: Ryloth

Race: Twi’Lek

Occupation: Plans to pursue a career in bounty hunting.

Eyes: Green

Hair: N/A

General Description: Rasha is a beautiful blue skinned twi’lek. Thanks to a long period of slave dancer training that began in her childhood, she is lean, powerful, and carries herself with a certain gracefulness. She is capable of being either charming or intimidating depending on which one best suits her purposes.

Clothing: Her clothing varies depending on the needs of her assignments, but she does have a tendency to dress quite provocatively. Some of the outfits she wears could compete with those she wore as a slave dancer in terms of the amount of skin they show, but the addition of her gunbelt (in situations where she can openly carry the tools of her trade) makes the overall effect of such garb quite different.

Weapons:

Other Equipment: She generally packs pretty light, with most of her equipment on her gunbelt if she happens to be wearing it.

Transportation:

Family: Rasha never had a particularly close relationship with her parents even before they sold her into slavery at a young age. Because of this, she has little memory of them and little desire to see them. Lajar Olmos is probably closer to being family for her then her own parents are.

History: Rasha was born to a relatively poor family of Twi’lek’s in Ryloth’s capital, Lessu. During her early years she had a lot of freedom, as her parents were generally too busy to supervise her, and she spent much of this time playing with other children who were in similar situations. This changed when Rasha was nine however. When her father was injured in a work accident, her family found itself struggling to make ends meet, and it was at this time that a high end slave trainer, recognising potential in the young Rasha, proposed a deal –Rasha would be taken and trained as a dancer, and in return her family would be paid enough money to give them a chance at escaping their poverty. Rasha’s parents –who had not developed a strong bond with their daughter- had little trouble convincing themselves that the deal was the best course of action both for themselves and for Rasha, who would likely be sold to a wealthy individual rather then continuing to live in squalor. Thus the young Twi’lek girl was taken from the world of freedom that she knew and placed in a highly restrictive environment where she was forced to spend long hours training for her future career. She did not adapt well to the change at first, but she soon learned better then to fight it, as the consequences of trying to do so were quite severe.
Having little control over her own destiny, Rasha trained for years on Ryloth and became a very skilled dancer, the sort that made the dancing of Twi-lek females renowned even among the elite of the Galaxy. When she turned sixteen she was sold for a large sum of money and became the property of a major crime lord, who treated her largely as a living decoration. She soon changed hands however when this crime lord lost her to one of his lesser associates, a young gangster named Kord. Kord was immensely possessive of his new prize, threatening severe punishment for any of his subordinates who was caught taking liberties with her, but he also made use of her as much more then a decoration –in fact, he used her as a way of smoothing out business meetings with his associates. It took some time for Rasha to cultivate the winning demeanour necessary to do this, but Kord’s ‘encouragement’ ensured that she did so.
Rasha rendered service to Kord for a little over two years, and the young gangster (largely due to his own merits, but with a little bit of help from his slave) quickly rose through the underworld ranks. This made him arrogant, and he soon bit off more than he could chew when he kidnapped the children of a major businessman. While he obtained a large sum in ransom, Kord did not have long to enjoy it, as the businessman soon hired a group of bounty hunters to track down and capture him. Unaware of this, Kord went off planet with Rasha to conduct a business deal, and both of them were taken prisoner in a well executed ambush. Kord was brought in as a bounty, but the businessman wanted nothing to do with Rasha, and she would have been left on her own or sold back into slavery had it not been for a change of heart from one of the bounty hunters, a man called Lajar Olmos, who reluctantly agreed to take her in. He expected her to earn her keep however, and employed her as an information gathering tool, a task where her charms proved very useful. Lajar had to bail her out of trouble on a few occasions where things went badly, but overall she proved to be a valuable ally, and the bounty hunter allowed her to stay around for several years before he eventually sent her off to make her own way. She in now attempting to begin a career as a bounty hunter on her own (or possibly with a good business partner if she can find one).

RP Sample: (Apologies for the length. A normal RP Post from me would be shorter due to the back and forth nature of Roleplaying, but since this was a stand alone thing I wanted to make sure I set the scene well and also went somewhere with it.)

It was midday in Mos Espa, and the cool interior of the Starburst Cantina was packed almost to the gills as people tried to escape the heat outside. There were a few tables free near the entrance, but most were fully occupied by thirsty denizens –thirsty and rather distracted denizens who were trying to compete for attention.

A new server had started at the Starburst that day, a beautiful blue-skinned twi’lek who had simply shown up and asked the proprietor for a job right then and there. He’d been a little surprised, but had agreed to let her try serving customers for a day to see how she did, and it wasn’t long before he was convinced she would be there to stay –she knew exactly what she was doing, and seemed to have no trouble balancing prompt service with engaging the customers. It was quite amazing to watch.

Setting down a tray of drinks with a smile, the blue-skinned twi’lek watched out of the corner of her eye as a bedraggled looking bearded man entered the cantina. She recognised him as Erim Shore, a smuggler who had last been seen leaving Mos Eisley in the general direction of Anchorhead. He had a small bounty on his head. She’d been expecting he might show up at the Starburst. He was too wily not to make an effort to lose his pursuers, but as her mentor had often told her, “Most people have places they come back too,” and it appeared that in times of stress Erim Shore liked to come to his favorite Mos Espa watering hole. He probably wouldn’t stay long –just long enough to calm his nerves with a drink before he tried to figure out how to escape off planet- but that would be long enough. Distributing the drinks she had brought to the appropriate patrons, the twi’lek picked up her tray and made her way over to the empty table near the entrance where Erim had seated himself.

“May I get you anything, sir?” she asked politely. The exhausted looking man nodded his head.

“One Corellian Whiskey. That, and lots and lots of ice water.”

The twi’lek nodded.

“One Corellian Whiskey and lots of ice water. Will that be all sir?”

“That’s all.”

“Thank you for your business.”

The twi’lek bowed her head and turned to go, then paused as if considering.

“Are you Erim Shore?” she asked.

The man tensed up as he heard his own name.

“Why do you want to know?” he asked.

“Someone gave me a message for you.”

“What sort of message?”

“A confidential one. It’s probably best if I tell it to you outside.”

The smuggler sighed in resignation. He’d just gotten in from outside, and he really didn’t want to go back out into the heat just yet.

“This won’t take long, will it?”

The twi’lek shook her head and smiled reassuringly.

“It won’t take long. I promise.”

“Alright then.”

The man got up and followed the twi’lek server towards the entrance. The bartender yelled at the twi’lek as she exited, but she promised that she’d “Just be a minute’ and continued onwards. Stepping out into the sunlight outside, she led Erim a short distance to the side of the cantina entrance and turned to face him. The smuggler did not look happy.

“Alright then, so what’s this message you have for me?”

The twi’lek glanced around herself as if making sure there was no one within earshot, then leaned forward conspiratorially.

“There are people out looking for you,” she whispered. The smuggler snorted.

“I already know that.”

The twi’lek nodded.

“Okay, but do you know who you need to watch out for? I was given some descriptions.”

The smuggler shrugged.

“I already know what a lot of them look like, but it wouldn’t hurt. Who do I need to watch out for?”

The twi’lek leaned in even further, until her mouth was inches from Erim’s ear.

“Well, one of them’s a blue skinned twi’lek,” she informed him.

Erim noticed too late the lightening of his holster that accompanied the twi’lek’s relieving him of his blaster. Taking several long, fast steps backwards, the blue skinned alien raised the weapon to shoulder height and took aim at its owner.

“Her name is Rasha. Rasha Vartil.”

The smuggler stared at the twi’lek, whose entire demeanour had changed, going from innocent and friendly to dangerous in the blink of an eye. He snarled as he realised that he’d just been tricked.

“You… you bitch!”

Rasha smiled coldly as she flicked the blaster’s selector switch to stun.

“I’ve been called that before,” she informed her prey.

The sound of the stun bolt she fired could barely be heard in the Starburst’s noisy interior.
