Title: Bidding for Amaya
Description: PC slave girl
Jin-ho - October 24, 2007 07:07 PM (GMT)
Welcome ladies and gentlemen. Today we present you with a Rutian Twi'lek named Amaya. She has been raised by slavers since birth, and is fluent in Basic, Twi'leki, Huttese and Zabraki. Her physical strength is also remarkable for one of her kind, offering the owner the opportunity of heavy manual labor, should you require it of her.
A steal at 3000 Credits, ladies and gentlemen... The bidding may now begin.
-----
Amaya tried to move, but two Gamorreans were holding her in place. From what she could hear, the bidding was about to start, and the blindfold she was wearing took away the possibility of escape since she had no estimate of what she'sd be facing. Putting her arm strength into it, she tried to break the chains holding her, but they wouldn't budge. They gave her the ones usually reserved to hold a Wookie, she could almost smell it on her bonds.

Bri had left him to do some arrangements. Again.
He himself had been wandering about on his own, but had been instructed to meet her somewhere at the auctions later.
He had decided that he should go to where he had bought Moirine.
It seemed they were selling a new slave. He tightened his jaws, and had to fight his own anger. It was so wrong!
You shouldn't sell people like that!
It was his main reason to hate the Empire.
He watched the slave.
She seemed strong, and tall. He guessed the salesman would point that out.
She had azure skin, he noticed with a slight frown.
And purple eyes.
And those markings.. He was sure he recognized some parts of it.
That twist, for instance... He touched his own face in shock.
He had a similar twist!
He watched her with a deep frown, and remember the last time he had been there...
After a while, before the bidding had started, he decided to leave and check out the planet.
He felt a tear in the corner of his eye. Would he ever learn to live with the memories?

Rath'an Umghj licked his lips. A bad habbit years as a gambler had given him.
Right now he was watching the slave. She was beautiful! He had been saving money and betting safe for more than a year now, just to buy a slave. And she was perfect.
"3000 credits, anyone? She's a real catch! You won't get anything like this for a better price!"
Rath'an swore mentally as he recognized one of the Hutt's empleoyees also staring on the slave. The hutts were not going to have this beauty!
"3,5!" the hut employee said quietly.
Imediately after Rath'an shouted
"4!"
He licked his lips again, and felt on the pocket his money was in. He just hoped it would be enough!

Amaya stirred, managing to move despite her bonds and the two guards keeping her in place. Despite being blindfolded, she was able to tell that the bidding price was shooting up quite a bit in comparison with the average slave, giving her an odd -- and misplaced, she mentally added -- feeling of satisfaction.
"Four thousand, i hear four-- Four thousand two hundred and fifty bid!"
Pointing the hammer to another person in the far end of the hall, bidding continued. Amaya knew from experience that things would be slowing down now, the increments getting smaller. Five thousand, fifty-five hundred tops and it would be over. A good deal by anyone's standards... if only it weren't her on the auction block, that was.
"Five thousand two hundred going once... Going twice..."

Rath'an Umghj licked his lips again. He desperately tried to remember how much money he had. It was not much, he would just hope that last bidding of his held!
The announcer went silent in the last pronounciation as a tall, black-cloaked shape approached them.
He stottered, he was so close to ending the bidding, yet that appearance...
"Five thousand five houndred," it came from somewhere beneath the hood.
Rath'an could only watch in frozen terror as the announcer rose the hammer... Every sound he heard as if through a thick, muffled wall...
"...Going once... twice..." The whole audience drew their breaths as the hammer rose for the last time, and fell as in slow motion towards the block...
"...Sold!"
It went a public sigh through the crowd, and they started to move away.
Only Rath'an remained for a little longer, watcing the cloaked shape walk, or more exactly glide towards the slave and the slavetrader, to exhange... currency.
He roared as silent as he could, and stamped away.
She would be his, eventually!

As the chains binding her hands were yanked, Amaya grumbled before wordlessly giving them a sharp tug in return. From the resistance and a semi-surprised grunt, she had almost managed to throw him off balance, and a smirk appeared on her face as she was well aware he wouldn't be able to touch her now that she had been sold.
Still, there was no chance for her to escape, with her wrists bound by thick chains even if she'd have been able to see through the blindfold. Unable to even see her buyer, she decided against making a sarcastic comment... At least, until she'd know what exactly she'd be up against.

The buyer grunted satisfied as it watched Amaya's appearence.
She seemed strong.
It silently handed over the money to the slavetrader, and pushed Amaya before it, not removing the blindfold.
Or, pushed... It seemed as though it pushed, but actually it lead her carefully before him, and after a while they stopped, and the blindfold was removed.
She could now for the first time watch the face of her buyer.
It was... what was it?
The buyer looked down on her, Whatever it was, it was tall.
And it's face was hidden in the shadows the hood cast.
Then it threw back it's cloak, to reveal long, blonde hair and blue eyes.
It was a human. It was a woman!
She smiled at Amaya.
"I am Lorlite. You must be Amaya, I pressume?," she asked with a diagonal smile.
Jin-ho - November 12, 2007 08:30 PM (GMT)
Amaya simply shrugged. While she wasn't used to humans being over seven feet tall, there was of course always the possibility of her being a halfbreed of some alien race, or perhaps a Near-Human altogether. Hell, she was half-Zabraki herself, so why couldn't others?
- "More or less. Has to do with Twileki naming conventions and such, i'll spare you the details."
She was speaking the simple truth when she said that. If the woman wouldn't know that Twileki names actually consisted of a combination of a personal and clan name, chances were the translation would have been wasted on the human. And if she did know... Well now, she'd probably have figured out the translation without her help anyway.

The woman, Lorlite, smiled caringly at her.
"Ama, it is, then," she decided.
"Well, Ama, now that you.. well, basically now that you are mine," she said and smiled almost apologetic.
"Now that you are mine, there are a few rules you need to be aware of. If you follow them, you can live with much more freedom than that zabrack who was wanting to dribble all over you would ever dream of giving you.
"One: Do as I say. You will be given easy cores that will normally not take too long, or be too hard.
Two: Don't make relationships. I will be your only friend, if you may call it that.
Three: In case of battle, you may end up as my meat shield. A worst case scenario, but you must be prepared for everything..
And fourth and finally... I am an assassin. You must be prepared for what living with an assassin can mean...
If there are any questions (OOC: for example about race or something ^^; ), you may ask them now. Afterwards I thought we could get to know each other."
She smiled kindly. She was strickt, but her rules were simple.
She also seemed to genuinely care about Amaya, even though she tried to hide it.
Jin-ho - November 12, 2007 09:20 PM (GMT)
- "Don't worry, growing up amongst slavers didn't make me the sociable type either."
Amaya smirked in response to her smile, knowing all too well that chores would never be easy around an assassin. Moreso, the prospect of picking up a few skills from her current 'Master' made her wonder about just who would be getting the better part of this deal. Still, there was the problem with the woman's height: If she were truly an assassin, that height would make her stand out in a crowd like a banner... Probably a sniper then, focusing on range rather than sneaking close. Oh well.
- "As for questions, i'll stick to one. You got a name, or would you prefer i call you 'Boss' or 'Master' or whatever strikes your fancy?"

"I said get to know each other, did I not," she said and smiled.
"Call me Lorlite... Wait here for a moment..."
A few moments later Lorlite returned, and watched Amaya satisfied.
"Good. You can folllow rule number one." She grinned.
"Now, follow me please. This is not a place we can speak safely..."
Then she lead the way to an old house an anonymous place in the city..
