Title: Amaya Val'Danath (A)
Description: Second character ~ 500 posts

Jin-ho - October 22, 2007 12:41 AM (GMT)
Full name (Basic and Zabraki): Calaun Ontrix Seyr

Twi'lek Name: Amayaval'danath

Nickname(s): Whatever name her 'Master' would give her, or a butchering of her Twi'lek name.

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Homeworld: Ryloth

Race: Twi'lek / Zabrak halfbreed

Occupation: Slave

Eyes: Tyrian Purple

Skin: Azure (Rutian)

General Description:

Standing at an even 6'11'' tall -- and weighing 187 pounds mostly due to said height -- Amaya is fairly tall in comparison with most other races, though it's nothing out of the ordinary for Twi'lek. Her azure skin marks her as a Rutian, and she inherited her father's purple eyes.

She has an athletic build, and even though her agility is only average according to Twi'lek standards, she more than makes up for it in physical strength. Her lekku are also long, reaching down to her hips in length.

However, the one thing that would immediately make her stand out among others would be her facial tattoos. Her father had been a Zabrakian, and such has left her growing up with the rather obvious racial trait marking her lineage, with her being his firstborn daughter. However, said tattoos have only been placed around her eyes, and have been camouflaged behind dye designs by the slavers to make the pattern appear more Twi'lekkian. She is also often seen wearing a bandanna, or another type of headgear.

Clothing:

Although depending on what her 'Master' would make her wear, Amaya actual preferred clothing would differ as well. Understandably more than fed up with revealing clothing, she tends to wear a leather suit with shoulder pads, along with a set of bracelets made from Mandalorian steel.

Even though slaves are rarely allowed to have posessions, the bracelets are a keepsake from her mother, and attempts to take the items from her have proven... unsuccessful. As in 'fractured skull' unsuccessful.

Weapons: None (probably for the better)

Other Equipment: None.

Transportation: None.

Inventory: Nothing!

Family: Jisae'danath (mother, Twi'lekkian, status unknown), Norgarath Seyr (father, Zabrakkian, MIA, assumed dead).

History:

Amaya's mother was a Rutian, born in a small settlement built within the caverns of Ryloth. Being one of the few that could speak Basic, she assisted the local merchants when they visited the village to trade goods. Due to the flourishing slave trade, the threat of slaver raids increased, and there were little to no settlements that did not have some kind of self defense countermeasures installed. As the 'spoils' were increasingly harder to get, the attacks intensified, becoming more organised and beter equipped. When one such raid managed to take out the turbolaser turret defending the passage, slavers stormed the settlement itself.

Not unlike soldiers after a successful siege, the slavers celebrated their victory by looting, plundering and other lowly acts, and by the time the slavers had calmed down again, Jisae found herself with child. Feeling his honor required it of him, Norgarath assumed responsability when he found out, and formally apologised to the Twi'lek he believed to be carrying his child.

After a long discussion between the two, they had come to an agreement. Having the child removed was something that was out of the question for either parent; both felt the child in her womb should not end up getting sacrificed. Thus, Norgarath used a portion of his salary (mostly to compensate for her depreciated value) and influence to ensure the two would remain together. In return, she'd accept his help in the child's upbringing, even though it wouldn't be told who her father was. To seal the deal, he gave her his bracelets of Mandalorian steel, engraved with his Clan's markings, while she gave him a necklace that had belonged to her Clan.

Amaya was born, and -- thanks to her father working behind the screens -- spent a lot of time with her mother. She recieved lessons in Basic (though it should be noted that all slaves did -- their future owners generally didn't speak Ryl), and when the young girl turned out to be a fast student she was 'promoted' into recieving a general education. Though the facts that she made only an average dancer, the Zabraki traits she was picking up from her father's lessons and/or her father's influence in things would have helped considerably in raising her 'sell value' by focusing on other areas.

However, as the girl grew up, pressure was increased to have Amaya auctioned. It had been twenty years since her mother's capture, and the other slavers were starting to push the boss into having her auctioned. However, when the monthly payments stopped after Norgarath was lost during an 'expedition' on Ossel II, their situation quickly deteriorated, and after Norgarath hadn't contacted them in the next few months, the Boss agreed to have Jisae and Amaya auctioned.

RP Sample:

Amaya shook her head, only to find that the blindfold she was wearing wouldn't be coming off, and she'd bet money the thing would be covering her horns as well to fetch a better price. She was reluctant to admit the chains binding her arms were too solid to snap as well, though she certauinly didn't plan to give up anytime soon.

Voices next to her, and a near-panicked shuffling of feet told her another slave was about to be auctioned. There was no rattling of chains this time either: It seemed the bonds that held her were similar to the ones the Wookies in their unfortunate group had been given. No ropes for her, not after the last time.

She had broken free then, and had headbutted the guard that had patted her ass. Given that she was stronger than most, she figured it must have felt to the human as being smashed by a spiked club. She smirked at the memory of the man falling unconscious to the ground.

Again, the voices returned, and this time she felt something tug at her chains, and felt the large hands of Gamorreans on her arms as she was -- somewhat brusquely -- led to the auction stand.

I'm curious why you chose for a race that was invented by a fan...I've looked up and there is nothing like a twi'brak. I think it's dangerous to allow hybrids...what if someone comes up to cross a hutt with a zabrak...you would have a hutt with horns? Then things would turn out a bit ridiculous...so it's better to either choose for Twi'Lek or Zabrak...the parents can still be of a different species, but realistically speaking the character would heir the race of the mother.

Resolved through PM, edited where needed and awaiting review again ^_^.

Okay this is as good as approved, but I would remove the link to deviantart about twi'brak...as we discussed...there's not really something like that. I agreed on her being a hybrid though I said I had problems with her features mainly the horns and lekku's at the same time, so I wouldn't use that word and remove the link so people don't get confused of how she looks.
