Title: The Hunt for R2s ~ R for Rebel
Description: Piracy in the name of Goodness!
Jin-ho - October 22, 2007 12:27 AM (GMT)
[Yavin IV ~ Rebel Hangar Bay]With a small groan, Jin-ho awoke, noticing Dash shaking her shoulder. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, looking at his face while her eyes regained their focus, and her mumbling something that could only vaguely be recognised as a question.
- "We've reached Corellia. You dozed off earlier, and we figured there wasn't a reason to wake you until now." :)
With a mumbled thanks, Jin-ho stood up again, stretching out to get the last remnants of sleep out of her system. She had slept well, the chairs had been quite comfortable... The 'seatbelts on' light lit up, and the red headed sergeant reluctantly sat back down again, preparing herself for the docking procedures.
Once outside, they'd head over to the bagage section to get their luggage, before heading over to the apartment that had been rented to serve as part of their false IDs. By the time the Empire would have traced their steps back to it, other sympathisers would already have taken the luggage they'd leave behind with them on their trip back to Yavin IV.
That left their particular task, being to infiltrate the facility, sneak on board a transport, destroy all records of them ever having set foot in said facility in the first place, effectively hijack a guarded transport and... well, you got the point. Still, Jin-ho couldn't help but feel optimistic about how it'd turn out. Not simply because it was her nature to, but because this one actually sounded
easier compared to Kamino and her negotiations with the Tusken on Tatooine. Still, that didn't make it less dangerous, though she was more than prepared to face whatever would be tossed their way. She had a team on her side now, dammit!
Jin-ho - November 16, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
Taking a deep breath, Jin-ho looked at her team again, exchanging a brief nod before walking around the last corner heading to the base entrance. There was no need to be stealthy, as it would only arouse suspicion, and people tended to ignore what took place right under their noses anyway, so Jin-ho figured it for the best if they didn't act suspicionsly.
After showing their passes and ID cards -- they were genuine, the original owners were somewhat... inconvenienced and wouldn't be showing up for work today -- they were allowed to continue. Since the transport wouldn't be launching for another hour or so, the group headed over to the administration area, where the main server was located.
Of course, they wouldn't be allowed in, nor were they planning to. Rather, when Dash spotted a protocol droid walking out of the server area, he told Jin-ho, who walked towards it. It had little to do wuith the mission in itself, of course, but after having been caught on camera once she wanted to prevent it from happening again. The Empire would have a fit if they linked her to the Kamino sabotage again, and she wouldn't be the only one in trouble...
Jin-ho - November 16, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
Scraping her throat softly, Jin-ho managed to get the attention of the protocol droid. With a small bow, it introduced itself with its code number, and she replied by giving it her own (fake) name before continuing with what it was that she needed it to do for them.
- "Excuse me, we're from Maintenance. A matter has come to our attention recently concerning a possible security breach, and we need to run a few memory checks. Would you care to come with us for a second? Here are our credentials."
Jin-ho handed the droid the credentials Mon Mothma had prepared for them, showing a clear photograph of Ress' face above his fake name. The Zabrakian gave the droid a nod when it looked at him to compare the images and personal data, before handing the credentials back to Jin-ho again.
"Very well, everything appears to be in order. Please lead the way."
Ress led them to a quiet area, appearing to be a small unused storage room of some kind. Dash said there were no cameras there, a small device on his person confirming what he saw. After asking nicely, the droid shut itself down, after which Ress wasted little time in messing with its memory banks. After about half an hour or so, the Zabrakian booted the droid back up, and it told him the mission specifics.
"Five minutes after transport ARC-524 lifts off, i am to head into the server room and delete all stored camera records, as they have been tampered with. After that, i am to destroy the mainframe and delete my own memory banks. Is this correct?"
- "It is. A bit unusual, but i fear if the saboteurs knew of our identities, it would compromise our investigation. Therefore, no records must remain of our presence here, you understand."
Saying their farewells, they all left the storage room again, the droid -- now with an ion charge hidden about its person -- going on to business as usual as Shylo checked the time. The Twi'lek gave a small nod, and turned to the rest of the group.
- "Well, fifteen minutes to go, we'd better prep up."
Taking a deep breath, Jin-ho took the lead again, heading for the landing platforms. With the preparations all dealt with as best they could, the other vital point in their mission was about to come up: fast talking their way on board the actual ship.
Jin-ho - November 16, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
- "What do you mean, we aren't on the roster? We're here, ain't we?"
Throwing his arms up in annoyance, he moved over to where the security guard was looking over the forms that said they were supposed to board the transport, yet not finding records of it in the computer banks. Coyl, being the most at home with Imperial paperwork out of them all, was trying to talk his way past security, and from the look on the guard's face, he was getting the upper hand.
- "Look, i don't want to take it out on you guys. All i know is, we got assigned to this crate after the ones who were supposed to go got delayed."
Pointing out the forms again, he stood next to the guard now, indicating both the papers and the console in turn.
- "Apparently, some desk jockey forgot to properly adjust the logs, seeing as we checked in through the main gate without problems. Now, you can call Security to check if you want, but they'll end up saying what i've told you anyway, and taking it out on you when the flight gets delayed... Your call, mate."
The guard took a deep breath, looking at his clock. Five minutes until lift off, and it looked like the original group he had on file wasn't going to show up. With a look that said 'Ah, blast it', he motioned for the group to pass, confirming on the records that the group in the logs had, in fact, arrived and boarded the ARC-524. As they reported to the officer that was in charge of onboard personnel, they were given orders, and started working on different sections of the ship like regular crew members would have. Coyl and Ress' lessons in basic maintenance were coming in handy already.
Jin-ho - November 17, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
A few minutes later, the crew members were getting ready for takeoff. Thanks to the extra hands on board *ahem* the ship was prepped and ready according to their flight schedule, and soon the ARC-524 was recieving clearance for liftoff. As Jin-ho's group prepared for launch along with the other crew members, Shylo and Dak were talking about something.
As a small telltale pull could be felt throughout the ship to announce that it had just moved into hyperspace, the crew relaxed, heading over to the cantina until they'd be needed again. In all, three people were in the cantina, two were on the bridge and another two in the engine room. Of Jin-ho's group, Ress and Coyl had ended up on the bridge as well, Dash was in the engine room, and Shylo ended up in the cantina to keep an eye on the others. That left Jin-ho and Dak 'off-duty', so to speak, and free to move around the ship on their own.
The red headed sergeant scratched the back of her head, wondering where on Earth she was supposed to start. Her crew had been scattered all over the ship, which was both a blessing and a curse: It was easy to keep an eye on what the crew was doing, but it'd make the ship all the harder to capture. The cantina was no problem, but the engine and bridge were about as far apart as the transport was long, making it harder to properly plan. If one managed to raise the alarm, there'd be more trouble stirring in the cantina than Shylo could handle.
- "Diol, head over to the bridge and help out Rezo and Clay, i'll go and lend Dilgear a hand."
She was using their fake names, of course, but it was clear to the both of them what they'd be doing next. Dak would be heading to the bridge, giving their side a numerical advantage, while Jin-ho would go over to the engine room to even out the odds there. Shylo (or Sarina) would keep an eye on the rest of the crew in case something went wrong.
Jin-ho - November 17, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)
A brief nod in Dash' direction was enough to let him know they were ready to make their move. Dash casually made his way over to the two engineers, and two blasts from a medical grade stunner -- commonly used to put patients to sleep, ironically -- the engine room was taken. After waiting a bit, the portable radio they carried sparked to life, and contact with the bridge outside of the onboard comm system was a fact.
- "Yeah, Rezo here. Bridge is clear, Diol hurt his shoulder but nothing bad. How're you, over?"
Looking at Dash, Jin-ho pressed a button on the small device before talking. It was a fairly old, yet effective, system, but the cost of its simplicity was that it couldn't both send and recieve at the same time. Oh well, as soon as the cantina would be sealed off that would be the least of their problems.
- "Rezo, this is Jiras. Everything clear here, heading over to Sarina now."
Now came the hardest part, getting the two teams joined up without arousing suspicion from the rest of the crew. Shylo would still be in the cantina with her own radio turned off for safety, and that meant she didn't know about their success yet.
Simply walking out of the engine room towards the cantina, she met Dak and Ress on the way. After asking, it turned out Dak's shoulder was a bit stiff from a fall, but apart from that he was fine, and assured her there was nothing to worry about. Leaning into the cantina, Jin-ho raised her voice to the point of where Shylo would be able to hear her.
- "Yo, Serene! Could you come over here for a second, please?"
Already grinning, the Twi'lek was well aware what that message implied. She walked out of the room and into the hallway even as Ress had already started slicing the console, and as the doors closed he ensured they wouldn't be opening to anyone any time soon. Coyl and Dash had by then moved the unconscious crewmen to the infirmary, locking them in in much the same way after grabbing a couple of stimpacks for their own use, in case of emergencies. Not that the sleeping crewmembers would pose much of a threat, they'd be near comatose for a good couple of hours anyway.
By the time they were done, there was some pounding on the cantina door as the crew had realised it didn't respond to the console on their end anymore. Breaking into a run, Jin-ho's team took positions in the ship again, Shylo, Dak and Dash would check for traps on the cargo, and placing the ion charges they had brought in the engine room. Coyl would take the navigational seat while Ress would slice the terminals, closing the blast doors to seal off the infirmary and cantina area permanently. Jin-ho on the other hand activated the internal comm system of the ship they were on.
- "Greetings gentlemen. I fear we'll be taking a brief, unscheduled detour from the flight plan. For your own safety, we ask you do not resist, as we will be forced to take countermeasures, and unlike you we will be armed."
She waited a few seconds to let that sink in, the camera relay system showing her that the crew in the cantina had by now stopped trying to get the door to open in favor of gathering around the speaker.
- "Half the crew is held in the cantina, the other half in the infirmary. I'd like to stress the fact that none of you are injured in any way, as we are only after your cargo. This cargo is perfectly ensured by the Galactic Empire in cases much like this one, so there really is no need to worry. Just sit back and try to enjoy the view until the inevitable Imperial Navy reinforcements arrive to let you out again."
Ending the sound transmission, Jin-ho sat down in the captain's chair, letting out a deep breath. It'd be ten minutes before they'd have to deviate from course, fifteen until they'd arrive... and after that another ten minutes at most before said Imperial Navy would be on top of them.
Jin-ho - January 8, 2008 10:59 PM (GMT)
- "Jiras? We're almost at the deviation point."
Looking up absently from her thoughts, Jin-ho failed to hide a somewhat worried look. Sure, they had taken whatever precaution they could to avoid getting caught on camera records back at the base, and even though Ress had disabled all onboard cameras as well as deleted the recent video logs, she couldn't bring herself to feel at ease...
She had been careful back on Kamino as well, but she had been found out there due to her DNA. While it was true that the base they had left had been quite a bit busier, making it easier to hide their tracks among those of countless other employees, the destruction of the video feed was in the hands of a single droid.
To make matters worse, the ship's crew had seen their faces as well. If the Empire would manage to tie her into the Kamino sabotage again, she'd be good for quite a substantial bounty, and those two Sith that had helped her would be dragged down along with her. Needless to say, she was hoping her plan had worked out, and only partially for her sake. Taking a deep brath, she held the mouthpiece of the short range communicator up to her face again.
- "Serene, this is Jiras, how are things on your end?"
- "Everything's ready to go here, waiting for your order." ;)
It felt reassuring to hear Shylo's voice through the device, despite the interference. Her slightly upbeat tone reminded her of her older cousin back on Alderaan, and after a silent nod to herself, she turned back to Coyl, who was waiting on her to submit the new jump coordinates. Another nod was given, and the ship shifted slightly as it took a smaller hyperspace lane that had become obsolete over time.
Jin-ho - January 8, 2008 11:41 PM (GMT)
The ship jumped out of hyperspace almost instantly, showing the form of a transport of similar size not too far away. Two flshes from its manoevering thrusters told Jin-ho that this was indeed the rebel transport, and she felt relief wash over her. It didn't last long though, as the hardest part of their mission would be up next.
The red headed sergeant spun around, shouting a couple of orders at the two men with her on the bridge, despite them both knowing all too well what they needed to do. The tone in their leader's voice betrayed more than a little nervousness though, and both bowed over their respective consoles again, typing away.
- "Clay, jettison cargo, we're where we need to be now. Rezo, set the reactor to move all energy from weapons and engines over to the shields, timer on three minutes."

In less than a minute, three people could be seen (and heard) running through the corridors. The emergency asteroid program would kick in soon, closing the blast doors and putting full power to the shields. Though the program was originally intended as a last defense in case a ship would find itself in a meteorite storm, it would serve its purpose in keeping the crew safe from the fighting now as well.
Once at the emergency shuttle bay, Dak was standing ready at the doors, reaching out a helping hand to get them on board as fast as possible. The ramp was a bit unsteady as Shylo had already heated up the engines, and the shuttle left the bay just in time for the familiar blueish glow of deflection shields to form around ARC-524.
The flight to the other transport was a short one, the jettisoned containers already being towed in by cargo droids equipped for spacial manoevering. The five rushed out of the shuttle almost immediately after touchdown, boarding the five X-Wing fighters that were waiting for them there. Shylo, the last one to leave due to her having piloted the transport, had just left the bay by the time the first Imperial fighters started appearing.
- "Right. Fighter screen formation F-2, let's take the fight to them while the droids are still out gathering containers."
Jin-ho accellerated, followed by Dash and Ress on her wings. After taking out an enemy fighter in a first triple barrage, the three broke formation, drawing in the remaining two behind them. This didn't last long however, as Coyl and Shylo were quick to complete the
Feint and Backstab, taking out the two Imperial fighters by catching them unawares.
The five of them reformed back into a fighter screen formation, ready for more fighters to arive now that they had figured out what was going on with their droid shipment. The transport they were defending was still loading containers, and was counting on them to keep the fighters off as long as it took to finish loading the cargo and make optimal use of its turrets again.
bruinfamer - January 15, 2008 03:03 AM (GMT)
"Okay, squad... The factory is on Corellia... Our spies have detected rebel activity at the moment we speak, so you have to hurry. You will be taken there with a delta shuttle but the shuttle will stay in a distance, so you won't be detected... There are space suits on board with jet packs attached... Use your stealth to reach the planet. These suits are well protected and will get you through the atmosphere with no trouble. You are with 5... You have two detonators, one medic and two will be there for your protection... Use your blasters. I've been ordered to give TK-102 to give the lead... He is the squad captain... for now..."
The Delta Shuttle was about 10 minutes away from Corellia. TK-102 looked at the other commandos, each with their space suits on. Oron stood up and looked at each of the men.
"So, shall we introduce ourselves?" asked the captain.
One of the commandos looked at Oron,"Name is TK-435, but call me Tech."
The other one looked at Oron as well,"Name is TK-888, call me Doc."
Another one of the commandos turned his head to the captain,"Name is TK-666, call me Iron."
Finally, the last one looked at Oron,"Name is TK-324, call me Scream."
Oron nodded in response to all of the commandos. They all had their own special abilities. Oron then walked up to the cockpit where the Imperial pilots were."How long till we exit hyperspace?" The ship suddenly jolted out of the lane, coming in view of Corellia.
"Sir, this is about the distance where we drop you guys off. Let us know when you need a lift."
"Roger that." Oron walked back to the seats where his men turned their attention to the captain."Gentlemen, lets rock n' roll."
Oron lead his men to the door as his men followed. He then shut the hatch door and made sure the men had all of their gear. They all did and Oron opened the door, the vacum of space sucking them right out. All of the commandos floated in the air as the Delta Class Shuttle blasted off into hyperspace, avoiding detection. The commandos then turned on their jet packs and began their decent towards the planet's atmosphere.
bruinfamer - January 16, 2008 03:09 AM (GMT)
The commander was right, the space suits took in all the damage from the atmosphere. Oron and his team had all survived, along with their equipment, and they landed safely on the surface. The commandos took off their suits and hid them in a concealed compartment that they would later come back to. All of the men were armed with the same guns, but had their own abilities.
Doc, of course, was the team's medic. He had seen action on the Mygeeto front during the clone wars. From what Oron could tell, he seemed to be a nice guy. Now in battle, he would have to wait and see.
TK-435, a.k.a Tech, was the smarts when it came to technology. He was skilled in hacking into systems and all that other techy stuff. His smarts would be proven if they needed a little "disturbance", in the factory.
The men called Iron for a reason, and that reason was that he could destroy anything in his path. Basically, he was the demolitions expert of the group.
Scream was given his name, well, Oron thought it was because the enemy could never let out a scream whenever it came to stealth. That's what the rumor was, at least.
"Alright men, on me," said Tk-102. The men crouched around the man, Scream the only one standing besides the Captain."Our mission is to destroy the factory. Reports say that there have been Rebel activity recently. If we can get any evidence of who these rebels are, then take it. I am sure Imperial Command would find this information quite useful. But thats not our main objective. Follow my lead, move out."
TK-102 took out a GPS system. The system had indicated that the men were 10 miles away from the factory. It was surrounded by the city. If they went right through, it would attract attention and that was the last thing they needed. What was interesting, however, was the sewage system that went under the city and lead right to the factory. Oron ordered his men that they were going under the wire.
The sewage reminded Oron of the lower parts of Coruscant. He had only heard stories, but never been down there to witness it. Scream was leading the team in the sewers, and following him was Oron, Doc, Tech, and Iron. They were walking on the little walkway along the river bed. Oron ordered the men to stop after walking for about 20 minutes.
The captain pointed to the ceiling, the men following his finger. They had reached the bottom of the factory. Scream began climbing up the ladder. Oron felt he could trust him and that he would be able to pave the way for the rest of the commandos.
Signaling the area clear, the rest of the commandos climbed the ladder, making little noise as possible. They were right near the security room. Scream came back and reported that there was one man in there, but he disposed of him quickly. Oron ordered Tech to follow Scream into the room and see what he could find, be it camera records or whatever. Oron, Doc, and Iron would set the explosives.
Oron was leading the way. They had evaded several patrols of security guardsmen. The three men had seen cameras but knew that Tech probably had it under control since he was in the security room with Scream. The factory seemed at normal working condition. The trio of men had not seen any Rebels at the moment. Maybe they had already left, who knows. Iron had told Oron before the mission that they should plant their explosives in two different spots. One would be planted at the main power core, then the other at the manufacturing part. Oron didn't want Iron and Doc to split off. They needed to work together as a team in order to complete their objective. The reason Oron had left Scream and Tech in the security room was to look through the security records, and also warn them if there was anyone approaching their position.
The first bomb planting would take place at the manufacturing station. Iron would be planting the bombs while Doc and Oron would take positions close to Iron in case someone found him. Iron planted the bomb right under the manufacturing station, setting it for 15 minutes.
Now it was time for the second plant. The power core was a few rooms away from the area. The room seemed to be not guarded, but Oron knew something was up. He reached for his comlink and made a patch to Tech.
"Hey Tech, are there any security measures in the power core?" asked Oron quietly.
"Hold on a sec sir," the man said after checking the computer."Yes, there are lasers that will set of an alarm if triggered."
"Well can't you do something about it?"
"Yeah, hold on.....Alright got it. Should be clear."
"Alright, meet us back in the Sewer. We'll be there in 5."
Oron cut the transmission as he lead the two other men into the area. If it weren't for Tech, their mission would be compromised and the Empire would be labeled as Sabatuers to an important part of the Imperial Senate. Iron set the explosives for 10 minutes, knowing that the other bomb would be at the 10 minute mark.
"Lets get out of here," said the commando leader. The men retraced their steps back to the security room. The workers had know idea what was about to happen. Oron, Doc, and Iron met up with Scream and Tech in the sewer. Iron looked at his watch and said that they had 5 minuted until the bombs went off. The squad ran through the sewer and reached their spot. They were a safe distance from the explosion. All of the men had their space suits on, along with their Jet packs. Oron reached for his comlink.
"This is Bravo 2-4, Seeking Wing, do you read, over."
"Roger that Bravo 2-4, we'll wait for you at the extraction point," replied the reciever.
The factory exploded off in the distance, just as the men flew off through the atmosphere into space. While in space, they could see the Shuttle waiting for them. The back door opened, allowing the men to come back into the shuttle. When they reached the passenger seats, the team took a seat and took off their suits, while Oron went to the cockpit."Mission accomplished, lets go home."
The shuttle blasted off into hyperspace.
Jin-ho - February 28, 2008 05:07 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho looked at the radar intently. There were a number of blips approaching fast now, obviously reinforcements, but what was really worrying her were the two larger blips that were coming behind it. While not as fast as the small blips, it wouldn't take a genius to figure out they were going to send in the big guns soon, and the enemy formation was practically screaming 'Fighter screen' as well.
- "Crap... Sweeper Nine, how far along are you?"
"We've loaded most of the containers, but we need about five more minutes here."
- "Got it. Position yourselves to have ARC-524 between you and the Imperials, that should prevent them from using their torpedos at maximum range. Once there, prep for emergency warp, just in case."
She took a deep breath, shaking her head to get herself to refocus on the approaching forces. The main problem, she realised, would be safely docking with the transport before it'd warp out, something that would be exceptionally difficult if those larger blips were indeed anti-fighter gunships. And if they were bringing the capital ships in this early, chances were there'd be larger ones following close behind it.
Jin-ho - February 28, 2008 05:37 PM (GMT)
Much as expected, the fighters accellerated after the transport positioned itself behind ARC-524, in an attempt to harry the enemy until the gunships would arrive. Jin-ho's team did their best to fend them off, trying to keep each other covered at all times to avoid being picked off. However, when a lucky shot managed to clip Dak on the wing of his fighter, Jin-ho knew they wouldn't be able to hold them off for long. Especially not after the gunships would arrive.
- "DAMMIT! Da-- Diol, dock with the transport and tell them to warp out, we can't fight them off for much longer!"
The red headed sergeant bit her lip nervously. The original plan was for them to have the transport warp out, then afterburn out of the area at full thrust. However, their opponents appeared to have ships capable of keeping up with them, which would cancel out that plan. Taking them out could take a while as well, and the crew of the ARC-524 was no doubt trying to get control back on their ship as well. In all, a worst case scenario was about to unfold...
...Until a ship warped in nearby. Her sensors told her that it was a Carrack-class, and sporting what appeared to be a combination of ion cannons and lasers next to the standard turbolaser turrets.
Which, much to her surprise, wasted little time in aiming all of this firepower at the Imperial fighters.
In the resulting chaos, trapped between a ship and Jin-ho's fighters, the enemy fighters were defeated. The gunships slowed down as well, no doubt waiting for backup now that their fighter wing had been destroyed, their advantage lost. Taking a deep relieved breath as the last fighter broke up, she leaned back in her seat, wiping sweat from her brow.
- "Right... Sergeant Jiras to Carrack-class vessel, we request permission to dock."
"Don't worry, you have permission."
She nodded, giving the transport with Dak safely on board the signal to warp out as they started docking. Still, there was something that bothered her about the voice she heard on teh other end of the comm... It sounded almost... familiar somehow.
After the five remaining fighters docked, both ships warped out, and Jin-ho and her team walked over to the bridge to thank the captain. She couldn't shake off the feeling of déjà vu that seemed to be triggered by everything she could see on the ship. She forced it out of her mind, telling herself there were more important things to attend to.
- "Captain, on behalf of my team i wish to thank you for...DAD?!?"
Jin-ho - February 28, 2008 05:51 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho let herself fall on the bed of her room, looking at the ceiling as she tried to gather her thoughts on this sudden turn of events. It turned out her father had seen the Holonews about her being one of the most wanted criminals in the Universe. He then contacted the Royal Palace in Alderaan, who had of course denied a 'Jin-ho' had ever worked there.
Additionally, the Imperial merchants were starting to avoid him as well all of a sudden, and he decided to go and check for himself. There were no clues on Alderaan, though he did pick up her cousin while he was there. Which left the most important question of all unanswered... How did he know she'd be here? Know, and be certain enough about it to attack Imperial fighters?
- "Let me guess, that look on your face tells me you're wondering how we found you." :)
She recognised the voice, looking back at the door, now noticing her older cousin standing there. Feeling a pang of homesickness, she ran over to her for a hug, at which Amyante smirked.
Amyante - "I'll take that as a yes... Well, to be honest, when you came here i was a bit worried, so i installed a tracking device into your mother's pendant, the one you always wear. Its range isn't too far on planets due to atmospheric interference, but in outer space you can pick it up easy as long as you know what you're looking for. Here, i'll shut it off for you."
Carefully lifting the pendant out from under her clothes, she clicked it open to reveal a hidden compartment. She held a small device next to it, causing a small *bip* to come from it.
Amyante - "There we go, it's turned off. You're up next, Sergeant, tell me what you've been up to." ;)
Jin-ho - February 28, 2008 06:42 PM (GMT)
Several hours later, still leaning against Amyante's shoulder, Jin-ho had told her everything. How she was attacked by a Sith. How she'd had to hide, and be found by more Sith, only to have them help her remove the bounty from her head. How these stream of events effectively swept her along into joining the Rebellion, ultimately ending up on this Mission. She knew she should keep quiet about those things, but once the flow of words had started there was no stopping it. And besides, she
trusted her cousin. After a brief pause, Amyante spoke up again.
- "Well, i can see why you didn't tell us sooner, you've been quite busy it seems. Don't worry though, we're here to help you now.. And, at the very least, i can tell your dad where we're supposed to be heading for now." ^_^
Jin-ho knew there were a million questions she wanted to ask, and even more . But right then, in her cousin's motherly embrace, a simple nod was all she was capable of right then. A slight tremor could be felt throughout the ship as it left hyperspace, making Amyante look up, after which she gave Jin-ho another comforting smile.
- "Hey listen, i need to prep for landing... You'd better come too, okay? You know where the Rebel Base is better than we do." ^^;
And Jin-ho let herself be led to the bridge, where the others were standing. Diol, testing his now-healed shoulder. Shylo, looking somewhat on her own without Dak. Coyl, helping with the navigation. Ress, helping out with clearing the last couple of actions from the ship's logs. And her father's massive form standing on the bridge, overlooking everyone's work. They all turned to look at her, making her feel at ease that now, finally, everything was over with. Giving a relieved chuckle, she set about giving them the next order.
- "Right guys... Let's see about getting debriefed now, shall we?" ^_^
[Yavin IV ~ War Room]
