Title: Banquet Hall

Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - September 16, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
After freshening up in her room, Amelia made her way to the banquet hall, dressed in what she hoped was suitable clothing for the occasion. She'd decided to try on her new chinese gown that she'd bought but never worn. However, she found that it needed a belt to make it more fitting and comfortable, so for now she'd used her handmaiden's sash, with the intention of buying a belt when she had the chance.

Walking through the large oak doors, she was greeted with a huge long table that stretched the length of the room, and was packed with all kinds of foods, from mountains of shuura fruit, to jugs of blue milk, and various other plates and bowls filled with everything you could ever imagine - and some things you couldn't too.

Spotting Asane already seated at the huge table, Amelia hurried over to join her friend.

For the next few hours they happily divulged in eating and conversing about anything and everything. Eventually, however, Amelia grew a little bored of the situation - not intentionally of course - and a splitting headache threatened to tear her head in half. It pounded and throbbed like nothing she'd ever felt before.

"Migraines...get em all the time," she winced after someone asked what was wrong. Excusing herself from the table, Amelia decided that a little fresh air might help to clear her head.

"If the Queen comes, will you appologise to her for me?" Amelia asked Asane, who nodded in agreement and promised to inform the Queen of Amelia's headache too.

Hoping that the Queen wouldn't mind her absence, and making a mental note to not be out for more than half an hour at most, Amelia left the palace, to try and clear her head, before the threatening sickness finally overwhelmed her.

Amelia wandered back into the Banquet Hall after what seems like hours. But judging by the fact that the food was still out and people were still sitting around it eating and chatting, she guessed she could have been no longer than she'd said she'd be.

Re-taking her seat beside Asane, she was desperate to tell her friend all about the stranger she'd met in the market place, but first she must find out two things.

"Hey, ok firstly has the Queen been here yet? And secondly any news?" She asked, reaching across the table to pour herself a glass of refreshing blue milk.

The Queen emerged, dressed in her usual attire, "Yes, I have news for you.... It appears that the media were fulled by your display at the plaza.... Now you are officially a trained decoy... But there is a lot more that you will have to learn... You were able to fool people on a short visit, but you must learn to fool persons of great power... Only then will you be a true decoy... Your final task will have you sent to Coruscant and possibly another planet to meet with Senators and other royals.... The visit could last days... If you succeed there then your training is truly finished.... For now, I want you to learn everything there is to know about politics on Naboo, and try to learn about how the Imperial Senate functions...." She spoke waiting to hear Amelia's reaction to it all.

"Did I really fool millions of people? Oh my god! Wow...I was so sure I'd been rumbled! Thank you your highness, for giving me such an opportunity to prove myself! As for training, I am more than willing to do anything you ask! Just say what you'd like me to do and I'll get onto it right away!"

Amelia was overwhelmed...this day had turned out so perfectly! Not only was it her birthday, but she'd fooled the people of Naboo, and the media covering the event, she'd met a charming stranger in the market place and she was now - according to the Queen - a trained decoy! What could make the day get any better?

Mind you, the mood she was in, if anything was to go wrong, she wouldn't care anyway. She was in such a wave of eauphoria that she almost didn't hear the Queen's reply.

"Well for now, you enjoy this night.... Tomorrow, go to the Library and study all you can about Naboo history, political and all... When you have returned, tell me about what interested you the most, then we will go from there.... For now, I will retire... Have a good night... It's yours!" She smiled before leaving the hall.

"I've had quite enough excitement for one day, I'm afraid," Amelia laughed as everyone else returned to the food and conversation.

"Infact I might go for a walk in the Rose Gardens...if anyone wishes to join me, they'd be more than welcome."

With that, she left the hall once again and wandered down the corridor, and away towards the Rose Gardens instead of back to her room like she'd originally planned. Her headache was starting to come back once again and she now had pleanty to think about for a change.
