Title: hybrid?

Sky Stardust - September 3, 2007 03:32 PM (GMT)
i was curious to know if i could make my character a hybrid proffesion. For example, would I be allowed to make my character a Bounty Hunter/Sith? The character would be a bounty hunter, but to collect his bounties he would use the force and his lightsaber. Is that allowed?

thanks,
~Sky

Well first of all your character would both have to go throuh an education of both a Sith and a bountyhunter, but of course u would first do your bounty hunter education cause that is an option...Sith and Jedi are elected by myself and Ayanna (Padmé). So if you do get elected by the Sith and you complete your education as one. You would be able to use the Force in bountyhunting yes, but you could be hunted down by the Sith for betraying them.

Hmm... There are some things that can be compatible though. Jin-ho for example has been both a Corporal in the Royal Guard as well as a Rebel for quite a while. There would be some other 'legal' combinations to make, but i'd have to agree with Kalin that Jedi and Sith are a bit too 'sensitive' (pun intended) to combine with other career options, as they can be seem as 'Prestige Classes'.

Same with the more advanced jobs... As you get promoted to more advanced positions, the amount of time you'd need to spend working in/for/on them increases as well, to the point of not being able to do something else 'on the side'. You can be a merchant dabbing into local politics, but a Senator can't own an interstellar corporation to keep his vote from being influenced by personal gain.

And in case you were wondering... You only get weekly pay for one career ;)
