Incase you haven't plainly noticed, we have changed the skin of the forum. It is not 100% yet. We're going to make more alterations, also Kalin will make new profession banners for every category as they match now only with the old skin. Please leave your feedback on the new skin. Hope you like it :)

Well it's by the same guy who made the last one. I always liked his style.

What I don't like is that it now takes a couple of decades to even open the chatbox... :(
I've been waiting for more than ten minutes for it to open now... And when it was finally there, all I could see was this white box with a fancy, red cross in it...

That's not to do with us, the site we get it from must be having problems. Tried to go and check it out but the site is down, that's why it's effecting our chatbox

Awww lol Well I guess our main question concerning the new skin is does everyone think it is better than the previous one?

Hmm... Again, hard to say. I think it needs some time to settle in a bit first, though i honestly have to say that the words in a post are a bit harder to read, especially considering the contrast when making a (Fast) Reply.

Not 'unreadable' harder to read, just... closer to it.

Not really related to this specific update, but figured i'd mention it anyway.

The popup that requests people to join... Is it supposed to show up on every page? Coz instead of a suggestion, it'd just end up annoying the hell out of the people that like to look around a bit to get a feel for the setting, before actually joining.

So umm... Popup just on the index page, plzkthx?

Also, when the page is loading there's a rather nasty-looking vertical line before the forum page covers this up. Wouldn't a small PhotoShop session be able to 'mirror-glue' them together into a more fluid whole?

We'll see what we are going to do about the pop-up. As for the background looking awkward...First of all, we're thinking to create a whole new background...maybe even a skin for the forum. But for now I don't see the vertical line as a big deal. The background is of very good quality and yes it takes some time to load it, that's why you see the whole thing in the first place. It just keeps repeating itself, but now in a different way than before, that's why the background looks a little different at the sides when it is completely loaded.

Okay the guest pop up thing has been changed to something less annoying, and it looks better too

Oh, I forgot to say... I think the new skin is good! :)

To be honest, I don't actually like this skin as much as the old one...especially all the new buttons and things - some are too small or hard to read...but it's growing on me slowly and I am liking it more each time I come on...so maybe one day I'll like it better than the old...and then you'll go and change it again, lol :P

Well we will probably make our own skin but it will take a long while as already mentioned. We want something that is star warsy, but a lot of the ready made ones look cheap and rushed together. So Kalin is going to work on the headings and different parts of the forum first. Then we will arrange the colourings. But there is a lot of coding, so it will not be done quickly.

Heh, you'd have a custombuild forum then, with both the banners and the skin homemade ^^;

I have adjusted the profession banners to match the colour of the forum.
