Title: Secondary Characters
Ayanna Nyx - August 19, 2007 03:58 PM (GMT)
Kalin and I have decided that it is now time to allow secondary characters to our forum. However, there will be guidelines concerning this option.
Firstly, a member must have over 500 posts before they can submit a character profile. This way we know the member has devoted enough time and efforts to their primary character.
Secondly, since we have character detail placed in our profiles, the secondary character will not have as such. The first character you began the RPG with will always be your primary and most important character. The secondary character will use the credits that you already have earned from the primary one. Any credits earned by either party will be combined. This is the only way we can ensure that it is fair. Effectively it will mean that your secondary character will likely have better means that the previous.
Thirdly, you will need to submit a full application as you did with your first character. Although, you do not have to put in an RPG sample, as we will already know what you are capable of ;)
Your secondary character can in no way at all benefit or help your primary character. It would be best if they never came into contact at all. If they do, keep in mind that they cannot benefit from each other or help each other. If necessary then the character could team up, but they would not be allowed to gain any credits or items in their venture. As we said, it's best that they remain separate.
Concerning items or weapons that are on your profile from your primary character, those must remain there and cannot be used by your secondary character. Any items gained for your secondary character must go into your signature, clearly stated. You may also place your secondary character's details there if you wish.
If you have any other questions concerning this, then please ask here :)

I know I'm nowhere near reaching the 500 post mark yet, but just out of curiosity, could you create a secondary character who has nothing to do with your first, but they eventually meet up, do a few missions together and possibly fall in love/ get married? That way you could start a family.
Is that possible?
lewy - August 19, 2007 05:01 PM (GMT)
...Or could two different players do that? I mean, is it at all possible to start a family??

Well for the moment it's not impossible, but this still has to be decided.
And lewy yes, if two members want their characters to hitch up then you can do that, and start a family. Mine and Kalin's characters are going to hitch up eventually too, so we can't deny this to other members also. So yeah, have fun! lol Though when you start a family, it's most likely that any child produced from this would be pretty much non-playable. More likely shared between the two characters who produced it

Ok.
Damnit! Why do Kalin get all the good girls??
Girls: no offence lol :P

The chances of you getting a relationship with Ayanna (The character of course, she's already mine in real life heh heh :D) are approximately 4,720 to one :D

Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - August 19, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
My god, what are the odds for a poor Handmaiden like me finding a nice bloke then? :(
Lol
lewy - August 19, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
Oh, you'll find someone! I'll probably end up with my Twi'lek... :P
My proposal: "Hey, Moirine? Wanna marry me?" lol
Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - August 19, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
Lol...oh well...lets hope Amelia's luckier in love than I am :P
lewy - August 19, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)
Good luck!
And that's right, NEVER TELL ME THE ODDS! EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS! lol
..You know, perhaps I could... Uhm... nevermind :P lolololololololol!!
Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - August 19, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
Why can't you ever tell a Corellian the odds?

And it'll be fun to explain to the kids, too!
- "What? Where i met your mom? Ohh... I umm.. I bought her." ^^;
Yup, feel the love in that family scene there.
lewy - August 19, 2007 06:21 PM (GMT)
Then the teenage-kid says:
"I don't buy that one, daddy! If you bought her you would have used a condom, right?" lol
And Corellians don't like odds because they're always against them...
However:
Corran Horn: "Consider also that the odds this room is being monitored are extraordinarily high."
Anakin Solo: "Since when did a Corellian ever care about odds?"
Corran Horn: "Fine. No odds. They are listening to us. Count on it."
Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - August 19, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
Well Cliegg Lars bought and then married Shmi Skywalker didn't he? Only difference was she popped her cloggs before they could have kids. :( There could have been another Skywalker out there somewhere!
And why are Corellians always against the odds?
lewy - August 19, 2007 06:33 PM (GMT)
Because they always do something stupid with small chances of success so that the odds are always against them.
Who wouldn't get pissed? :P lol
Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - August 19, 2007 06:34 PM (GMT)
Ah I see... :D Like Han flying into the Asteroid field?
Ayanna Nyx - August 19, 2007 07:00 PM (GMT)
Okay time out guys lol You're spamming! lol This isn't The Love Inn! :P
Jin-ho - August 19, 2007 07:01 PM (GMT)

Okay just a few questions. I know on another site that I go to (BHOD), we just started a 2 player thing. Now as for the accounts, to me that doesn't make sense if the two players have to share accounts AND not come in contact with eachother. Why not post the second players account information in the sigs under the other one? That's what most members do anyways for their first character.
Ayanna Nyx - August 20, 2007 03:41 PM (GMT)
I did already state that they can put the info in the signature if they wish. But concerning credits it is tricky as we reward 500 credits for every 50 posts. So it depends on whether people would be willing to split it between the two accounts or not.
Concerning coming in contact with each other, as said, we don't mind if it does happen, but it could cause problems if people use their characters to help each other out. That is why we had said that they cannot benefit if they do meet.
Jin-ho - August 20, 2007 11:12 PM (GMT)
Wait-- just thought of something.
Posting rewards can be pooled between the characters, but what about jobs? Let's say one is a Corporal in the Royal Guard, and the other a Politician for an x amount of wage. What's the actual amount that's to be added every Monday then? Highest number value?
Ayanna Nyx - August 21, 2007 01:32 AM (GMT)
Well, I think considering what has been spoken of here. Credits accounts will have to remain separate, but they would need to be clearly listed in the sigs. In this case, you would have a wage for one character and a wage for the other. And they would go into the appropriate bank accounts on your sig.
Jin-ho - August 21, 2007 12:00 PM (GMT)
Well, no problems there, i keep a tidy list of every transfer i have ever made in the last post in my application.
Helps when i want to double check something too, i can really recommend it to others ^_^
