Kalin saw how many people were bidding for this girl. Indeed she was quite a catch, her beauty was astounding. He looked around amongst the bidders. To find the Vigo, Yuli Vlasta, she should really stand out in this crowd. Like Vess said, Twi'lek females rarely walk around freely. The bidding continued, but still she did not appear. The bidding was now up to 15,000 credits, so Kalin decided to change strategy. He still didn't see the Vigo, but he was sure she would be here.

He decided to bid for the girl too. Maybe that would catch her attention.

He raised his voice, "20,000!"

The bidding went on until 35,000, but there was still no news. But suddenly he heard a voice calling out......

"50,000...."

Yuli Vlasta walked into the room. Around her stood 4 Twi'lek men in black suits. Whereas she was laced in beautiful coloured attire. She saw the bidding was still continuing as she had expected, but not for long.....

"50,000...."

She shouted calmly as she slipped off her cloak revealing her form. She walked to the front of the bidding seats, glancing at the occasional bidder, who seemed to cower and loose his lust for bidding.

She sat at the front of the crowd, with her men at her sides. She glanced to Kalin and smiled, suggesting his loss. She then looked to Aristal, she had expected better, but she will do.....

The Vigo suggested to him with a look that he already lost. But he wasn't going to give up. If he had to impress her, to catch her attention then he had to win.

"60,000"

She looked to him sharply, she snarled with her mouth slightly out of instinct, like an animal, vicious and cruel. How dare he bid against her!

"100,000" She said in her exotic accent.

The crowd gasped slightly, such a price for a slave girl. Aristal herself was looking around, worried and unsure of what was going on.

"Hmm, let the peasant top that!" She giggled to one of her men sitting next to her.

Kalin was getting grumpy...The Vigo was getting arrogant. Vader would be angry of his new strategy, cause he had to win this bidding and it would cost a lot of money.

"150.000 credits...I bid 150.000!"

Kalin wondered if she would bid over this amount of money...She would be mad if she did. He grinned at her to show that he wasn't going to give up. His arrogance was almost as bad as hers.

She raised her eyebrow, she was becoming angry at this man who dared to compete against her in this.

"300,000!" She shouted, it was certainly more than she ever intended on paying for a slave, but this stranger was testing her patience.

"In the name of..... She's not going to give up...."

Kalin had to think of another strategy and came to an easier solution. He looked at the seal Darth Vader gave him, it was a bit ironic because some say the darkside is the easy path, well this surely seemed easy so maybe they were right.

"500,000 Credits!"

And sneakily he showed the seal of Darth Vader to the auctioneer. With a glimpse he saw it and Kalin saw the fear in his eyes when he realised who he was dealing with.

"Do I hear 500,000? 500,000 it is! Sold to the young man in the front row. Bidding over..... She's all yours!" The auctioneer then ran off stage before Yuli would have the chance to lynch her men on him.

Kalin walked to Aristal and she spoke to him.

"Thank you kind Sir for buying me, falling in the hands of that evil witch would've been the worst thing that could ever happen to a slave like me....."

Kalin looked firm to her and with little regret, he said, "Don't thank me yet...."

"Do I hear 500,000? 500,000 it is! Sold to the young man in the front row. Bidding over..... She's all yours!" The auctioneer then ran out the room like a mynock out of hell.

Yuli stood up sharply in shock.

"What!?"

She snapped her fingers, causing one of her men to chase after the auctioneer, it was clear that one way or another, he would not appear in this place again.

She saw Kalin walk over to Aristal and speak with her.

"That sly devil..... How did he make that fool cower like that....."

"It was just a slave, M'Lady..." One of her guards spoke.

"Silence! I did not ask you to speak."

She continued to stare at Kalin. It was time for her to congratulate him.

She clapped her hands as she neared him in a small, sarcastic applause.

"Well done, I doubt anyone has seen Rouk run like that since he was a schoolboy...."

She smiled as she neared him.

"I'm curious, what made him give up on the auction so quickly..... For the likes of you?"

"Awwwww..... Upset that you lost M'Lady? Well I have a way with people. When people cross my path, they know that they must stop...... And that is exactly what happened today..... But if you are so upset about the slave girl, here she is..... Aristal come here and bow to your new Master....."

Aristal was shocked and felt that she had lost everything. Never the less, she did what she was asked to do and bowed to Yuli.

Yuli smiled as she walked to him..

"Why you are quite the surprise young man aren't you, are you up for being my new best friend?"

She placed her hand on his shoulder, running her fingers down his chest, she liked this one.

"Take her to my ship" She changed her mood as she spoke these words to her guards, giving a slight glance in Aristal's direction.

One of the guards removed the iron neck plate from Aristal, and placed on it a gold laced plate encrusted with crystals and diamonds, and along with that a 2 metre long gold chain which weighed much heavier than the iron. Yuli demanded her slaves look good, but feel the pain of their beauty.

Yuli's face changed again as she looked to Kalin with a seductive expression.

"So...... The fact you have been so gracious to buy me such a rare and expensive gift, I am assuming that in one way or enough.... You require my services......."

She trickled her fingers further down his chest.

"Although, I do hope you are not going to get all politcal on me now? You'd ruin all the fun...."

Both were laughing. Kalin watched how they treated Aristal and saw how they took her away. He couldn't deny but to feel some regret for the girl.

But he stayed on mission. He came here for the viggo.

"No, I'm not gonna get political on you, I assure you", He smiled

"I just want to make some connections with Black Sun...I might need it in the future. You've probably realised I'm not a man to be granted with. I have power over Coruscant and combined with yours, we can achieve a lot...maybe even more than you can think of..."

Kalin touched her by the chest.

"Your skin...It's very beautiful...I know a lot about you...you should take more credit being a Twi'Lek...I admire them. Your species has accomplished a lot...and so have you...You're a powerful woman now...I suggest you use it and together you and I could achieve something what even Prince Xizor can't!"

"That's alot to hope for....... And even if we tried to out do him sweetheart, I'm afraid he would kill us both"

She was not afraid of that aspect, but she wondered whether he was.

"But how can I get involved with a man who's name escapes me...... You followed me here so it is clear you know mine...... Wouldn't it be fair to tell me yours?"

Kalin smiled: "Where are my manners? The name is Kalin, Kalin Scarter...No doubt you haven't heard of me. That is because I like to keep my organisation as Black Sun a secret. If my name was spread, no doubt my enemies would hunt us...I can't allow that to happen.

To give you some more information...We are a small organisation, certainly not as large as Black Sun, BUT our clients are important. We have powerful connections. And now I have a client who made a special deal with us...it seems he has trouble with some Jedi Knights."

The Vigo probably felt inside that this was something big, but on the surface of her face she kept smiling and didn't show changes in her emotions. Kalin knew however that the Vigo was very interested. Her heart was pounding faster and faster. To make sure she didn't notice anything he played dumb and explained further what this deal was about.

"I know Black Sun has a list with Jedi Knights, not all of them...but many...I need that list at all cost. Prince Xizor is the only one who can access the list, but a woman like yourself should have no trouble getting it..."

They walked further to the Landing Platforms where her ship was awaiting. Kalin caught a glimps how Aristal was bruttally pulled by her chain to get her on board. He used the Force to communicate with her cause he couldn't see how the poor girl was suffering.

"I will come back for you...I promise!"

By hearing the voice Aristal was surprised but she lowered her head again and tried not to hope to much, cause she was beginning to believe that the voice in her head was an hallucenation. At the same time Kalin just continued talking to the Vigo.

"If you can get me that list, I promise you Prince Xizor's downfall...Like I said...I have powerful connections...He wouldn't suspect an attack from us, cause he doesn't even know about us. And when he falls you will gain control over Black Sun...completely..."

"That is interesting...... Very..... However, buying me a slave girl that will no doubt be..... out of my services let's say.... in barely a few months..... is not quite enough gratitude for such a large price you ask for....... Of course I can get you the list...... But you need to give me...... Something extra...... Something I want......"

She stroked her nail across his chin.

"Such a pretty face for a man who claims to be involved with such dire people as you say...... That either means you are very good..... Or a liar...."

She licked his mouth and nose.

"Either way.... I can not deal with this situation now....... Duties take me to Coruscant....... You can follow me if you wish, and meet me at my home..... It's the perfect place for us to..... Make arrangements....."

She opened his hand and placed something in it, it was a white, purple and blue pearl, very beautiful and rare.

"Show this at the front door of my home, you will not need to say a word, they will know you are with me....."

She turned with her men and walked, but stopped and turned around once more as one of her guards placed her beautiful cloak back onto her shoulders.

"So Kalin Scarter, I hope to meet you again..... If not.... Keep that pearl again as a token of our short but sweet friendship"

She laughed and turned, leaving the auction house on her way back to her ship.
