Title: A Night on the Town

Taves Sarfell - August 10, 2007 01:02 AM (GMT)
Taves and Doren walked the streets of Aldera. Doren who was a native knew a few good bars to visit. One that they came to called the Blazing Star looked less packed so they walked in.

They ordered a couple of drinks and sat down at a nearby table. "So" said Taves after taking in the sights of the bar "not to pry, but I haven't heard a great deal about you. Willing to share?" "Well" replied Doren "where to start, and where to end. Because I too have a few skeletons in my closet. I don't tell you not because I don't trust you, it's merely I don't think you'd be interested anyway." "Eh" replied Taves "you have your right to privacy."

"Very well" continued Doren. "As you do know I grew up on Alderaan all of my life. My father was a very succesful blaster manufacturer for the Merr Son blaster company. My mother was the type of woman who stayed at home and took care of us. Since my family was rather wealthy I had private tutors all my life. Those are the two things I attribute to being the way I am. I was cooped up in my house all day and I knew way too much about blasters." "Then how'd you lose to me in our duel then?" interrupted Taves. Doren shrugged "Eh, I wasn't really paying much mind to my blaster then. I was just trying to blast your ever loving face off." "Oh really?" Taves said laughing at the irony of their friendship now. The conversation carried on like this throughout the night. Taves and Doren told of their backrounds and families back and forth. Taves was relieved that Doren no longer asked about his past as a bounty hunter. He felt he could finally bury that part of his life for good.

The two finally left the bar in the wee hours of the morning. Both stumbled a little bit from their drinks. They both returned to their beds in the training center since they hadn't been assigned new living arrangements. As Taves covered up in his bed he knew that that night wasn't nearly as wild as their night out on Delaya. He was glad too. He didn't want the headache he had gotten there again.
