Title: The search for Jedi
Kalin Thalis - August 6, 2007 10:08 PM (GMT)
Kalin and Ayanna walked around in high curiosity after their adventure in the casino. Both had mixed feelings about what happened there. It was very amusing to Kalin, but he didn't think everything was amusing to Ayanna. Afterall she had to spend her time in the casino in that awful but very sexy outfit. How was she feeling about it? Was she still embarassed? Probably, Kalin thought...Oh well...It couldn't be that bad. She did keep the outfit and he thought it could still come in handy.
For what reason, that's another question. Now it was time to focus back on the Jedi. Wandering around in the refugee sector was strange and also gave them mixed feelings, that of disgust and pity. You saw poor people who you pitied for their sorrow, their pain...you saw beggars who were only begging for credits to buy deathsticks. You could see they were addicted because they were shaking very intense, though it was a bit cold...but not 'that' cold.
"Do you sense anything", Kalin asked keeping up his guard. Ayanna focused herself, but didn't reply immediatly as if she was trying harder to indeed sense something. Could she, did she sense the presence of Jedi before...The only Jedi she had contact with was that old man in the temple. Kalin didn't know if she had more contact with Jedi in the past.
Ayanna Nyx - August 6, 2007 10:17 PM (GMT)
She remained silent for a few moments, "Something isn't right...... I sense something..... Something familiar....." She began to scare herself as she was unsure where this feeling was coming from.
She looked to Kalin to see if he had a better idea of what was going on and what the next move should be.
Kalin Thalis - August 6, 2007 10:38 PM (GMT)
That caught Kalin's curiosity, "Something familiar? What do you mean?!"
Before he got an answer some people bumped against both the sides of his shoulder.
"Hey watch where your walking, fella!" A scruffy looking man said.
"Mind where you are going, idiot!", Said the other...
This wasn't right...these guys didn't hit Kalin by accident...They tried to catch his attention...Maybe they were looking for a fight. Kalin was tired from the game in the casino so he wasn't acting very rational so if they wanted a fight...they will get one, he thought.
"I walk where I want to walk...." He said sharp and in a low voice.
Ayanna had a worried look on her face considering what was going on. Kalin could almost read on her face, 'Kalin, don't do this!'...or maybe it was something else.
Kalin kept his hand close to his lightsaber, though he didn't know if it was a good idea to ignite it. But then he got an idea. If he would ignite it here, maybe this would draw the Jedi out of their hiding holes. Or would it be a good idea to get the Jedi here and fight them? Or would it be better to confront them in private.
One of the men who looked angry at Kalin grabbed an old blaster from his belt.
"Time to die, kid!", He said all too serious. Kalin didn't like the sound of that. He wanted respect so he certainly didn't wanted to be called a 'kid'.
But before anyone could see something happen, he did about the same as before. In an eyewink he grabbed the man's blaster with the Force and pointed it at him.
"I think it's time to leave..." He said again sharp and in a low tone.
They luckily did what Kalin said and ran away, dissapearing in the crowd. Kalin threw the blaster on the ground. That was too close, he thought. Luckily he came to his senses otherwise it could have turned out in a disaster.
He turned back to Ayanna, "Now...where were we?! You were saying?!"
Ayanna Nyx - August 8, 2007 04:31 PM (GMT)
Ayanna shrugged it off, "I don't know...... I'm not saying that...... Well.... I don't know.... Just doesn't feel right...... It's like something out of a dream or......"
With that, someone else approached the two of them, it was an old woman. She walked towards Ayanna with her hands stretched out to her face, as though she wanted to touch her but dared not to.
"It's you!!" The woman said desperately.
Ayanna seemed rather startled and perplexed. She pushed the woman's hands away from in front of her.
"What do you think you're doing! Get away from me....." Ayanna snapped though still curious. Although it was clear that this old woman was not completely right of mind.
"No! It IS you!..... But..... You've barely changed at all! My how fate and time can change one like me and barely touch you....." The woman spoke, smiling sadly to her. She was covered in old rags and smelt quick repulsing.
Ayanna gave the old woman a look up and down, "I'm sorry but we've never met before.... You have me mistaken for someone else.... Come on...." She spoke to Kalin, dismissing the woman and continuing onwards.
Behind her she could hear the shuffling of the old woman's feet as she pursued them.
"Why do you say such things! Surely you must remember me! You were here on Nar Shaddaa...... 25 years ago..... You stayed with me for many months! Then you moved on to Ryloth after...."
Ayanna interrupted the old woman, "Excuse me, but I did not exist 25 years ago...... I am 18..... So please..... Leave it be!" She shouted, still walking away from her.
The old woman's feet seemed to stop.
"Then...... You are her daughter..... You must be!...... Yes, you are Adanna's child! No one else could bare such a likeness!" The woman called out.
This was enough to make Ayanna stop in her tracks.
Kalin Thalis - August 8, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
'Adanna' Kalin wondered, Ayanna had talked about her before. There had to be a connection between the woman and Adanna for sure. Even small, how did she know her name?
Kalin slightly whispered to Ayanna, "Talk to her, maybe she can help us with finding the Jedi, and maybe you can find something for your own benefit....."
Ayanna turned to look at the woman, "My mother was named Adanna, this is true...... I never knew she lived here....." Ayanna spoke coldly.
The woman walked forward, hoping to reach Ayanna in some way, "Yes, although it was not for long my pet.... She hated it here.... But she'd had..... Some trouble..... I found her roaming around here, she'd barely eaten and her back was badly injured..... I insisted she stayed with me until she recovered....."
Ayanna still felt uncomfortable but stayed polite for now, "Well, I can say that I am grateful you helped her...... Do you know what had happened to her?"
"She would not say dear, she was very quiet and protective, I can see you have the same character..... My suspect was that the father of her child had been the cause of her injuries. I had asked her, but she would never confirm it nor deny it......"
Ayanna was confused, "Wait, father of her child, what are you talking about? My father would never do that to her, and you never knew me, I told you that already......"
"No no, the one before you..... I don't know who your father was, no doubt not the same as your brother or sister....."
"Brother? Sister? You mean there's more like her? Oh my!" Kalin grinned though Ayanna did not share his humour, clearly as she then thumped his arm at his comment, "Hey watch it!" Kalin reacted.
"Now you've lost me..... I don't have a brother or sister..... My mother only had me....."
The old woman looked down, as though deeply troubled, "Oh dear...... This is terrible...... Adanna, she must have lost the child..... I told her not to leave here in her condition..... She was ready to give birth but insisted she had to leave...... All she said was that she was going to Ryloth......"
Ayanna remembered the reciept that she had found while scoping through her old home, it was from Ryloth, but this didn't make any sense.
"My mother never kept secrets from me, if there had been a child before she would have told me....." Ayanna was troubled by all this.
"I can't tell you why your mother never mentioned anything to you, I can only tell you what I know..... She was pregnant when she was here, 25 years ago..... And all I know is that she went to Ryloth..... I can't tell you more dear...."
Ayanna stared at her for a moment and then looked to Kalin, she seemed so sad.
"If you don't mind, I would like to know more about what she did here on Nar Shaddaa.... Perhaps it would enlighten more of the truth of what really happened to her....." Kalin asked.
"Before I found her, I can't say what she did, while she was here, she never wandered very far..... But she did use to go to the levels below..... It's horrible down there...... She seemed to like it there...... Other than that, she kept to herself, she stayed in my home..... But she was very within herself..... And she never wanted to discuss the child or the father..... There's something else, and I don't like to mention it in front of you Ayanna, but she always refered to the child as 'it', but it was how she would speak..... As though she grudged it or despised it even..... It was so odd....."
"The levels below? Can you maybe tell us where we can find them? We're looking for..... Someone....." Kalin spoke.
"Well I don't know what kind of person you're looking for but they'd have to be pretty brave to venture down there...... The entrance is at the other end of the compound..... It's guarded most of the time though..... Good thing in my opinion.... People shouldn't be going down there....."
"Guarded by whom?" Kalin asked in high curiosity.
"Oh I'm not sure which organisation, just strange men in cloaks, they keep themselves to themselves...... But people listen.... And we don't mind that they guard it so..... Was filled with nothing but pests and scum....."
Ayanna raised her eyebrow at that remark, was quite a comment coming from a woman that smelt the way she did and lived the way she did.
"Men in cloaks huh? Interesting......" Kalin had no further questions, but he had a hunch.
Ayanna Nyx - August 8, 2007 06:43 PM (GMT)
Ayanna began to walk with Kalin away from the old woman who was still watching after them, but she had no reason to continue talking to the woman, she had heard enough.
Ayanna followed after Kalin, he seemed to know where he wanted to go. But there was something else, Ayanna seemed more effected by what she had heard than she was letting on. But she didn't think Kalin would be interested in talking about it. Afterall, it was her burden, not his. But one thing was certain, she would be going to Ryloth in the near future. To try to track down where her mother had gone to, and more importantly, what had happened to that child she had been carrying. It was unbelievable. And to think that her mother would have felt some sort of grudge towards the child before it was born? Didn't make sense either. Though her mother was a harsh woman, she loved Ayanna and took care of her. Adanna would have risked her life in a second for her, and ultimately, she did. Both her and her father. So this kind of nature that her mother was claimed to have had totally contradicted all that she had experienced in her own upbringing.
"Shall we go to the place she spoke of, where she said my mother went to......" She spoke quietly, still shaking slightly.
Kalin Thalis - August 9, 2007 02:00 PM (GMT)
"I'm not sure...When you spoke of Adanna, she was not really a Jedi, was she?!"
Kalin continued to walk with high speed. He was in a hurry.
"I'm interested about those cloaked men she talked about...Jedi are cloaked...so are we...but I doubt it are Dark Jedi who guard those places...highly unlikely...it could be someone else too...there's only one way to find out..."
They both walked down the dark corridors that lead to the place which the old woman described. But no guards were in sight yet. Finally when they were about hundreds upon hundreds of feet under the ground where two cloaked men were holding their guard. As Kalin expected they wore dark brown cloaks. They held their hoods up so their face could not be seen due to the dark shadows. There was no doubt now that these guards were Jedi...and if they were guarding something...It was probably a hide-out where other Jedi sought refugee.
Kalin whispered to Ayanna.
"These are definatly Jedi...but what was your mother doing here?!"
"I don't know..."
Kalin walked further,
"Well prepare yourself and hold your hand close to your lightsaber....I think we might be in for a tougher fight than we expected..."
Ayanna just nodded, her mind was somewhere else.
Ayanna Nyx - August 9, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
Ayanna was completely confused about everything that had happened. Did she actually have a sister out there somewhere, but likely, as the old woman claimed, she would have died. Otherwise Ayanna would never have existed. That was the way with her kind. The women bare the burden of revenge, and birth a daughter to carry it. Her mother told her as a child that if it took a thousand years to right the wrongs that had been done to them, then that was the way it was meant to be. She began to come more to terms with the fact that her mother had never told her about this child. At the end of the day, she didn't really have the purpose to, and also she never lied that Ayanna was the only one. Although it had never been brought up in discussion. It brought new levels and opened more doors to the woman her mother actually was. To have been on such a planet, injured and pregnant. And how was she injured? It was so confusing. But also, as Kalin asked, did her mother have any involvement with the Jedi? Her mother never claimed to favour the Jedi or the Sith, only she hated Darth Vader. Although, Adanna's mother was An'ya Kuro, a Jedi Knight. So perhaps there was something in that. She then decided to word it,
"Kalin, it's possible that my mother did have connections to the Jedi, I mean, it's not impossible...... After all, her mother was An'ya Kuro. But she never expressed to me whether she hated Jedi or not..... So I can't say for sure......." She said, a little worried what Kalin would conclude from this.
Kalin Thalis - August 9, 2007 08:40 PM (GMT)
"That's what we'll have to find out later, Ayanna...first we have to deal with these guys!"
They both walked calm over to the guards and the closer they got the more revealed their faces were.
One of them yelled over,
"You two! Stop right there!"
Kalin and Ayanna decided to play along and stopped where they stood. The cloaked figures stepped closer.
"You'll have to to turn around and go back where you came from!", One of them said.
Kalin acted dumb, "Why is that?! I didn't know this was a restricted area?! Who is your supervisor...I wish to talk to him!"
The cloaked figure shook his head, "I'm afraid that's not possible sir, you'll have to...", His voice was interrupted once the figure was close enough for Kalin to cut off his arm with his lightsaber. The other cloaked figure looked in shock to the red blade Kalin was holding in his hands. He quickly ran through the gates he was guarding, but before he could sound the alarm he had Kalin's lightsaber borded through his chest.
Both lay on the ground. Kalin walked over to the cloaked figure who stood in pain looking to the floor at his lost arm.
A hard concentration in the force caused Kalin to crush his windpipe and he fell dead to the floor aswell.
"Grab their cloaks...we'll have more chance inside if we disguise ourselves..."
Both took off their dark cloaks replacing them with the brown ones these guards wore.
"Keep your head down...if they don't recognize us, they might see through our disguise..."
Ayanna Nyx - August 9, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
Ayanna pulled the cloak over her head until her features were lost under a blanket of shadows. This was their only chance of reaching the Jedi that were lurking in this place. She kept her lightsaber now firmly in her hand at all times, though also it was disguised under the cloak she was now wearing. She had learned to push her personal issues behind her for now. There would be a time for it, but it was not now.
As they entered past the slide doors, the area opened up, it was similar to the Refugee Sector above, but this place was more grim in appearance. There seemed to be no activity here. The Refugee Sector was always swarming with beings from all stretches of the galaxy, but here is was as though no one was living. But this meant trouble, they were no doubt already detected.
"I don't like this....." Ayanna said to Kalin quietly as they slowly kept moving forward passed all of the cabins that remained shut. Still there was nothing to be seen nor heard.
Suddenly all of the cabin doors rushed open, showing that they all contained one Jedi with their lightsabers ignited.
"Welcome.... We've been expecting you....." Said one voice in a sarcastic tone.
Kalin returned the sarcasm to Ayanna, "I have a bad feeling about this...."
Ayanna and Kalin moved more towards the center of the ground they were on, and with this all of the Jedi left their cabins and began to form a circle of glowing hot blades around them.
"It is clear that you have not come here for peaceful reasons....." Another younger voice spoke out.
"These guys are sharp as a spoon I must say..." Ayanna said jokingly to Kalin.
Kalin Thalis - August 10, 2007 12:44 AM (GMT)
It was time to stop fooling around and get to the point in Kalin's opinion.
"You were expecting us.... How?...." Kalin had a sharp look on his face and felt very exposed. He threw the brown cloak from his shoulders as he felt that it was disgusting to wear. Ayanna followed his lead.
"We felt your dark presences..... Our spies located you in the casino and they saw your handy work..... How you manipulated the game..... But they sensed much more.... Something darker..... Who are you?"
Kalin did not want to reveal anything, not to these people, they were scum. Ayanna on the other hand was curious about her mother's visits to this place and what they had to do with her.
"You..... What are you doing here? I sense something familiar in you..... Who are you?......" The Jedi was speaking very fast as though he was in surprise. He was almost in shock of her presence.
Ayanna decided to be honest with her name, though she got the distinct feeling that Kalin would not approve.
"Don't say anything to these people..... They'll never hear something from us....." Kalin spoke with a commanding voice.
Ayanna looked back to the Jedi around her, felt something familiar in her? Then they must have known her mother, it would've been too great a coincidence otherwise.
"Yes..... You are related to Adanna Kuro...... I knew her.... Though I cannot believe that you are standing here before us like..... This...." The Jedi pointed to her being a Dark Jedi, while her grandmother was an honorable Jedi.
Kalin clenched his teeth at the Jedi's words. He knew that out of curiousity, Ayanna couldn't resist the temptation to speak.
"You knew my mother?" She said stepping forward a little, she felt like a little girl lost in a world of men.
"Yes I knew her..... And your grandmother..... Though I thought you were dead..... Nobody here exactly knew what happened to Adanna's child..... She left while she was still pregnant, though that wasn't the wisest decision...... She was still vulnerable...."
Kalin felt helpless, he was outnumbered and he wasn't sure if he could rely on Ayanna's help.
"That child wasn't me..... I don't know what happened to it..... I only learned of it this day...." She said, stepping back to Kalin's side again.
Kalin spoke to himself, 'This is getting better all the time....'.
Ayanna Nyx - August 10, 2007 01:14 AM (GMT)
Ayanna didn't see it as necessary anymore to speak with these people, she had learned enough from them.
"I sense much fear in you..... You don't have to fear us girl..... On the contrary..... The one you are standing next to is a greater threat than we are..... He is the one who killed your grandmother...."
Ayanna felt the conflict within her, but she didn't want to think of it,
"SHUT UP!!" She screamed to him.
Kalin was surprised by her outburst but felt happy nonetheless that she didn't switch sides on him through the Jedi's words.
Kalin spoke, "Your words don't effect me or her Jedi..... So leave it....."
The Jedi refused, "No.... I think it is time for you to leave, she will stay with us..... We will heal her from your manipulation.... Sith!"
"I don't think so, you Jedi are a plague in this galaxy.... Spilling your lies on me..... You talk of manipulation? What are you trying to do now.... You scum!!" With that Ayanna acted out violently and impaled one of the young padawans who stood not far from her, causing him to fall to the ground. She overreacted, but it was because of her uncertainty in what he had said. And at the end of the day, he had effected her with his words.
The Jedi stood in shock, looking at the body of the padawan, still they had no desire to attack Ayanna. Kalin however, felt amused at her reaction but there was something going on that didn't seem to fit. He killed the Dark Woman? And why did they call him a Sith?
"Calm down.... Daughter of Adanna..... You.... Sith..... You fought the Dark Woman on Cophrigin 5..... And when you returned, history repeated itself.... It haunted you, it almost caused the death of this child...... Isn't that true?..... Admit it....."
Kalin was a bit confused at the Jedi's words. Aparently there was some misunderstanding. The Jedi had some facts mixed up.
"What you say about the recent events are true, but I didn't kill the Dark Woman..... Darth Vader did..... I had nothing to do with it....."
The Jedi were even more confused now than Kalin. Hiding for so long, they only heard of the name of Darth Vader, they never saw him. They only knew that Palpatine had a new apprentice. It was only because of recent events with the continuing of the Jedi Purge that they finally heard of his name.
"Then you are not the apprentice of Palpatine?" Other Jedi were yelling, 'Sith lies!', 'He is the apprentice!'.
The Jedi continued, "Who else could it be? If it's not you, then who are you?"
Kalin Thalis - August 10, 2007 01:46 AM (GMT)
"That's none of your concern..... But I'm not the apprentice, as I said, Darth Vader is..... Darth Vader serves Palpatine, and I serve Darth Vader, but that's all you're going to hear from me......"
Another Jedi spoke, "We have to kill him! He needs to die!"
The other Jedi spoke again, "We can't, it's not the Jedi way....."
"We have no choice! If we let him go, he will come back with greater numbers and he will slaughter us all! If we keep him captive, he will find a way to escape! It's just too dangerous to keep him alive!"
The Jedi shook his head, he had a point but it just didn't feel right. Kalin was outnumbered and couldn't do much. The Jedi standing around them came closer. He had no idea what they were up to.
"Ayanna! For your own sake..... Keep yourself out of this!" Kalin spoke.
One Jedi cuffed Kalin with binders which had an electronic mechanism. Ayanna's lightsaber suddenly flew out of her hand as she tried to defend him. Instead she began to kick and punch those who were at Kalin.
"Set her in binders too..... But bring her to my cabin..... Lock the Sith up....." The Jedi commanded.
Kalin sighed, it would be very difficult to get himself and Ayanna out of this situation.
Ayanna Nyx - August 10, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
Ayanna sat inside one of the cabins of the Jedi. She desperately tried to scrape off the binders on her wrists behind her. However she was damaging her flesh more than the binders themselves.
"Don't hurt yourself, you will only make it worse...... Please listen to what I have to say....."
She cried out, "If you hurt them then I will personally kill all of you, starting with you! I'll cut your throat open!" She hissed in anger.
"Your name is Ayanna? The Sith called you like that...... Though I always thought you would be called Adanna...... That is what your mother intended to call you..... At least when she was here....."
Ayanna tried not to listen to him, but could not help herself being a little intrigued.
"You don't believe me?"
"I don't care if you knew her or not..... My mother knew a lot of people; what of it....." She said looking out of the entrance.
"She meant a lot to us, as did your grandmother..... When we heard the news of her death, everybody here was in conflict..... She was loved by us..... She wasn't one of us, but we loved her......"
"Why are you telling me this? You are wasting your breath on words that don't matter to me....... Where did you take Kalin!" She shouted.
"We just simply want to know the truth Ayanna...... Your mother left..... Very unexpected.... She was about to give birth to her child..... But as you said, it wasn't you..... Then what happened to her? What happened to her child?"
"Well if you let me go, I can get onto that..... It is my business.... My concern...... Where is Kalin! Answer my question!"
"He's safe..... I'll try to keep him as safe as possible for now I'm not sure how long I can keep this under my control....... There are lots of people who would like to see him dead...... There are lots of people who want revenge for the slaughters which happened 17 years ago..... They kept on going..... And they hold him responsible..... Though I cannot say how a young man as him would be involved in such a plot..... But he has blood on his hands..... And now they want blood in return..... Though that is not the Jedi way....." The Jedi sighed about what he said, it brought back a lot of bad memories, and he was also concerned about how the principles of the Jedi had changed after the Purge.
"Kalin is a good man...... I..... I respect him more than anyone in the galaxy..... Though I'll kill you if you tell him that..... He has blood on his hands, but so does everyone......" She said, calming down a little.
The Jedi stood up, thinking. He felt a little frustrated himself, though he knew that he shouldn't be. He pointed his finger to where probably Kalin's cell was, "That man probably has more blood on his hands than anyone else in the galaxy! And you just accept it?! I can't believe this!"
"Now you're exaggerating..... Jedi..... And besides, how much blood do you have on your hands..... At least he..... WE are honest in what we do..... You feel the lust for blood as everyone in the galaxy does..... But you prefer to suppress it...... You only see good and evil..... Right and wrong..... You Jedi are so blind that it makes me laugh...... It's your narrow vision that caused you all the be annihilated..... You allowed it to happen..... And now you hide here like mynocks...... Clinging onto life...... Why bother...... You weren't living to begin with..... Merely existing...... 'That man', as you call him..... Has given my life more meaning and focus than anyone..... He has looked out for me since the day I met him......"
The Jedi was rubbing his face as he couldn't believe what she was saying though he was questioning a few issues she brought up. The Jedi in the Old Republic were indeed blind to the chaos that was about to come.
"You have to ask yourself, did your meeting with him improve your life.... Is this what your grandmother or your mother would have wanted?"
"It doesn't matter what they wanted, this is what I want...... I will not breath and live on my mother's revenge to kill Vader, and no not for your Jedi cause...... For revenge on what happened to my grandmother..... But now I understand why it had to be done..... She was a threat, just as you are......"
The Jedi became calmer though the situation did not improve.
"If that is what you really believe....." He had a disappointed look on his face. He called for the guards to take Ayanna to Kalin's cell. There was no other option. She could not be swayed. In his opinion, the Sith lies had manipulated her mind too much.
Kalin Thalis - August 10, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
The celldoors opened and Ayanna was violently thrown in her partner's cell. She banged her head against the wall by the agression of the Jedi...These were not the same Jedi, Kalin knew from the Old Republic, though Kalin knew them hardly at all. He knew them from reputation and never did they act so agressive. She stood up...Kalin hesitated to help her as he was shocked by their actions. When she turned around her nose was bleeding. She was trying to stop the blood from running over her face.
"Filfthy scum!!!" She spoke in anger while she clenched her teeth.
Kalin walked over to her and finally gave a helping hand. The cell was very cold and both had no cloaks to warm themselves up. All they had was each other. Kalin held her close to keep her warm.
"What's the matter with these guys, we only came here to kill them!..."
Kalin tried to be funny, though it was not the right timing to be...The situation was much worse than he anticipated.
"I'm not sure how we are going to get out of this one....We have no weapons...and these binders stop us from relying on our abilities..."
Both sat down on the ground, all they could do was wait.
Ayanna's nose continued to bleed, which was beginning to frustrate her as she kept wiping it away from her mouth and chin.
"That Master huh..... He really thought he could sway me with his pitiful nonesense..... Trying to turn me against you and such..... I gave him a firm wake up call, and he knew I was right...." She gave a little laugh, wiping away more blood.
"So what exactly happened? Why did they get so angry that they treated you this way?...."
"Because I told them the truth, he told me to think of all the blood that lay in your hands from the past, but his are no different...... I told him that the Sith are at least honest and open to their emotions..... Jedi are narrow minded and blind to everything around them.... I told him that the Jedi are no more, because they allowed it to happen... And when he tried to play on my mother and grandmother issues, I told him that I understood why she died.... And I accept it rather than be plagued by it..... It is not her death that drives me anymore..... And when he heard that, he was shattered...... It was beautiful to watch his hope crack and break apart before my eyes...." She grinned at the thrill of it.
"I'm glad at least you had some fun..." He said in a sarcastic but not happy manner, "I think the only way to get out of here is by hard force..... We have to surprise them when they come back..... And we have to get out of these binders...."
Ayanna Nyx - August 11, 2007 07:16 PM (GMT)
"Well I nearly bashed my hands off when I was being interrogated.... If you can think of a way of removing them then I'm all ears......" She continued to wipe the blood from her nose, though it was beginning to dry and crust, which was somewhat uncomfortable for her.
"I have no idea what to do with these binders, let's just wait until those idiots return....."
After a while the door of their cell opened as they brought some food and water for them.
"Here's something to eat you Sith scum, just stay back and...."
Before they knew it, the Jedi were punched and the other was kicked where he surely didn't want to. The Jedi fell on the floor unconscious.
"This is our chance! Follow me!" Kalin whispered so they could not be heard by the remaining Jedi, "We have to find a way to sneak out of here, but first we have to get our weapons back...."
"Damn straight... I'm not leaving here without my grandmother's lightsaber...." Ayanna spoke back.
Still binded at the wrists, they crept out of the cell. There appeared to be no one else in the immediate area, but it was not a large sector, so there probably wouldn't be trouble far off.
"Where do you think they would store our things?" Ayanna asked.
"How do I know?!" Kalin said annoyed.
Both stayed against the walls to hide themselves from the Jedi that were patrolling in this area. They almost bumped into them once. Luckily they didn't stop the duo before they dodged back against the back wall of one of the cabins.
"I think it would be a good idea to find the cabin where you were interrogated..... With luck that Jedi will still be there.... Do you remember where it was?" Kalin asked.
"I think so.... Follow me....." Ayanna pushed past him, creeping carefully not to make a sound.
Kalin Thalis - August 12, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
"Lead the way..." He whispered back to her.
Ayanna and Kalin walked slowly back to the cabin. She remembered exactly where it stood, despite the violence after she left it.
When they entered the cabin the Jedi was still inside. He drew his lightsaber out of defence, but did not charge yet. He unlike many other Jedi refugees kept himself to the Jedi code during the old republic.
However Ayanna threw herself at him with both her arms raised in the air. She aimed them directly at the blade of his saber. And before the Jedi realised, the blade cut through her right-thumb and the binders. The loss of her thumb was not a big deal. Thanks to her skills it grew right back and she was finally free.
The Jedi looked amazed at what just happened and Ayanna surprised him once again by kicking him straight in his stumach. She grabbed his lightsaber and cut through Kalin's binders.
"Well done Ayanna! You keep amazing me!" Kalin said gratefully.
They didn't wait for a second and searched the whole cabin.
"We have to find our lightsabers...without them we don't stand a chance!", Kalin spoke in a hurry.
"I know...but that's not the only reason I want my lightsaber back..."
Kalin knew what she was talking about, though he wondered how after her grandmother's death, the lightsaber got in her hands.
Kalin tried to bash the controls of a chest with the binders still around his wrists. He kept knocking on them till they short-circuited. The chest then immediatly opened with indeed their lightsabers and other posessions inside.
"So what's the plan now?" Ayanna asked unsure what was going to happen. Kalin and her were no match for all the Jedi outside.
"No idea...", Kalin whispered worried. The place was swarming with Jedi. No way could they just kill them all.
"Wait a minute! I just realized something...the 501st...but where's my communicator? It wasn't in the chest. Where could it..."
Then Kalin realized it must have fallen off his wrist when he took off his cloak.
"Blast it! I sure hope my cloak is still where I left it..."
Kalin and Ayanna left the cabin in search for their cloaks in hope Kalin's holo-projector was still there. He really hoped nobody noticed that it just fell on the ground. Behind one of the walls they were looking out for them when they finally arrived at the place where they first confronted the Jedi.
"They are still there, but I can't see my communicator from here!"
Ayanna watched from behind the walls herself,
"Kalin, the place is just loaded with those Jedi scumbags! How are we gonna get to them?!"
Kalin looked back.
"I don't know...we'll just have to attack full throttle, then escape with our cloaks, so we can ask for help!"
Ayanna looked back at Kalin...this didn't sound very well, "Is that the best you can think of?!" She sighed in little despair of what was about to come.
But before she realized, Kalin already slayed down one of the Jedi. She sighed again and followed his example. She attacked full force and together they left no merci for them. They killed every single one of them which was in their path to reach their cloaks. They had to hurry in case more Jedi arrived at the scene. They quickly grabbed their cloaks and sure enough, under Kalin's cloak layed the holo-projector. He grabbed it and both they headed for the corridors working their way up again. The Jedi luckily didn't follow them. They were too scared to get back to the upper levels of Nar Shaddaa. They rarely came there and never in high numbers.
"Phew we made it!" Ayanna sighed in relief.
Kalin spoke in exhaustion, "I never knew I had it in me..."
Ayanna Nyx - August 13, 2007 05:05 PM (GMT)
Ayanna and Kalin were now a safe distance from the Jedi hideout, but they still bared the scars from their capture.
"Well that was fun.... So how are we going to find a way to contact the 501st Legion? Flags? Signs?" She said in a sarcastic tone, pointing out the desperation of the situation they were in.
"The holo-projector of course..... What do you think we were looking for in the first place?...."
Kalin pushed some buttons on a device that was back on his wrist which opened a transmission directly to Vader's palace.
Vader's image appeared on Kalin's wrist, but he waited for Kalin's report.
"Lord Vader, we have located the Jedi.... But we are impossibly outnumbered.... We need some assistance to get rid of these Jedi....."
"Get yourselves out of the area...... Proceed to the landing platforms and await for a squad of my troopers to arrive..... They will assist you in eliminating the Jedi......" The transmission immediately ended.
Some time passed and several trooper escorts arrived with the blue marked stormtroopers of the 501st Legion. They were in full gear, their commander stepped forward to Kalin.
"I take it that you all know why you are here?!...We've located a huge nest of Jedi and we have to act discrete in our mission to assassinate them...We can't allow one of them to stay alive or alert the population of their presence so we cannot allow any Jedi to escape from their refugee camp! Is that understood."
The Storm Commander nodded and gave a signal to his troops. All of them followed Kalin and Ayanna slowly to the nest. The streets cleared as the 501st Legion marched through the streets of the dreaded city. Not long after the city housed a graveyard of Jedi who died under heavy fire or by the edge of Kalin and Ayanna's lightsabers.
Their bodies were burned after the battle was over. The nest was dead but with heavy losses on the 501st Legion. Kalin and Ayanna themselves came in very tight situation themselves sometimes. Without the interference of their troops in one of the wildest circumstances, they would have been piled up with the bodies too. Fortunately for them they made it out in one piece and the Legion left the planet in all discretion.
Vader's orders were carried out and Kalin and Ayanna were waiting outside the Jedi refugee camp, where the stench of the burned bodies became to rise to the ground. They quickly walked out and headed for the landing platforms to leave this planet themselves.
