History: Amelia has had quite a troubled past, filled with tragic losses.

Her father - Rodrick- was murdered by a bounty hunter when she was a year old, because of his affiliation with known death stick dealers. Rumours surrounding his death suggested that Jabba the Hutt had been the one to hire the bounty hunter because he had angered the crime lord over his increasing demands with the dealers over prices and shipments. However, this has never been confirmed and several investigations into Rodrick's death were conducted, but no conclusion ever reached. Amelia's family and the general population of Naboo have always denied that Rodrick had anything to do with these low-lives, and because there has never been any solid evidence, no-one can prove otherwise. However, Amelia is too young to even remember any of these events, and does not wish to either.

The day after her father's murder - 2 days after Amelia's very 1st birthday - her seven year old brother Kyle went missing, presumed dead after an outing with friends in Theed turned to tragedy and their borrowed transport mysteriously ended up in the lake. Again, rumours surrounded his disappearance, and once again suggested that Jabba the Hutt had been involved, and was targeting each of the family members, one at a time. Again, this was denied, and because no body has ever turned up, Kyle is still assumed to be alive - although after 23 years this is unlikely.

This just left Amelia, her ten year old brother Jude, and their mother Kendra. Amelia was happy and never made life hard for her mother and brother - somehow she understood the losses they had suffered, even if she was too young to remember them. When she was four, she went off to school and studied hard, coming top in all of her classes. This, of course, made her classmates jealous, but because of her cheeky, care-free attitude she soon won them over and became the most popular girl in school. However, this happiness was short lived. When she was nine, her mother was fatally wounded by the same bounty hunter who killed her father - supporting the theory that someone was picking off her family, one by one. Upon her death bed, Kendra gave Amelia an heir loom - the sapphire and diamond necklace. Amelia promised her mother that she would work hard to make her parents proud, avenge their deaths and live the best life she could.

After the passing of their mother, Jude became Amelia's carer - being ten years older, he could now be considered an adult, whereas Amelia was still a young child. The two grew up together, with Jude teaching his sister skills such as cooking, cleaning, and other basic skills that she would need later on in life. When she turned 20, Jude decided that she was now old enough to care for herself and left her their family house on Naboo, along with all his personal belongings. He was setting out on a mission that he'd been given long ago, but had to put on hold because of Amelia. Although she continually quizzed him about it, he refused to tell her anything about his mission and left one night when she was sleeping. She hasn't seen or heard from him since, and doesn't know if he's even alive.

Shortly after joining the University of Theed and enrolling in the protection course, she was assigned to the Palace as a trainee Handmaiden of the Queen. There, she met Asané, who became one of her closest friends, teaching her all the skills she would need to be and handmaiden and some day, the Queen's decoy. Amelia progressed well with her training and was, in no time at all, the Queen's decoy, thanks to Asané's guidance and patience whilst teaching her. Amelia's own patience was rewarded, too, but her celebration of her achievement was to be short lived.

Returning home one day to find that her house had been broken into, she confronted the intruder out on the balcony at the back of the house, and tried to peacefully resolve the situation. But the intruder - a hunter named Rohlan Dyre had been sent to find something within her house, and then kill her after. But luckily for Amelia, as a fight broke out and she was thrown to the floor, she landed on her com-link, which called Asané. Realising her friend was in trouble, Asané gathered a troop of guards and hurried to the house, just a little too late to catch the intruder. Amelia was taken back to the Palace's medical facilities where she quickly recovered from her minor injuries, although she'd developed short term amnesia, meaning she couldn't remember anything before the attack.

The Royal Advisers were worried about the safety of the Queen after this attack, and demanded that Amelia be given an extended leave of absence until the situation cooled down. The Queen granted their request, but rather than having Amelia sit at home for however long it would take, she sent her and Asané on a secret mission to Mandalore. Posing as Bounty Hunters, the pair managed to sneak into the camp, but were discovered almost immediately. Checking the database to see that her family name was logged there with quite a substantial bounty beside it, Amelia realised that someone wanted her entire family dead...not just her parents. She and Asané tried to fight their way out of the camp, but only Amelia made it out alive. Blaming herself for her friend's death, she returned to Naboo in a dark mood that didn't lift until several weeks later, when two Jedi broke into the Palace.

They'd come to ask the Queen for help in finding more Jedi, and Amelia joined them in the quest for a little while, forming a close relationship with Taves. But he was reluctant to go any further than just being friends, because he was a Jedi, and she was reluctant because of the simple fact that she was afraid to get close to anyone, in case she were to loose them, just like she'd lost so many of those she cared about in her past.

When one of the Jedi - Zen - was kidnapped, Taves ran off to rescue him, and Amelia was left behind to carry on her duties once more. Again, the Palace was broken into, not long after, but this time by an unknown intruder, out to get the Queen.

Amelia rushed to protect the Queen, but nothing came of the break in, and the intruder was never caught. However, fearing for her safety, the Queen fled to Coruscant with Amelia and a few select others. They stayed for a few weeks until sure that Naboo was safe for them to return, and then Amelia carried on her duties as a handmaiden and decoy. It was during that time, that she met, Resei, a former Hunter-turned-Jedi-turned-Sith-turned-rogue.

Despite the fact that Resei fell head over heels for her, Amelia was reluctant to admit that she had similar feelings about him, for the same reason that she'd been reluctant with Taves. However, the two did become quite close and she even dared to start calling him her boyfriend.

Not long after they'd started dating, Amelia met another Jedi - Alluria Starfire. Alluria had been led to Naboo looking for Asané, but she came across Amelia instead, in a chance encounter at a bar. After Amelia confirmed that she knew the Asané that Alluria was looking for, Alluria told Amelia two stunning pieces of news. The first was that Asané was more than she seemed, and had in fact been a Jedi padawan, undercover as a handmaiden at the Palace to protect her identity. The second was that Asané had recognized the potential in Amelia and sent word to her contact on Onderon, who then informed Alluria.

Alluria had come to Naboo to train Amelia as a Jedi.

Amelia couldn't believe it, but willingly agreed to the training, and has now started on a brand new path, as a decoy by day, padawan learner by night. With Alluria as her new Master, she's already learning a few of the basic skills of a Jedi, and is determined to learn more when she can.

RP Sample:

Amelia couldn't sleep and had gone for a wander about the building to see if the fresh air would clear her head. As she happened past one of the dormitories, she heard frantic cries for help, and froze outside the door, listening. If someone was in trouble, she wanted to help.

Carefully and quietly opening the door of the dormitory, she peered inside. All was quiet. Closing the door again, she was about to walk away, when the person cried out once more.

Yanking the door open this time, Amelia ran the mile length of the room to a bed at the very end. Skidding to a halt beside the person's bed, just as they sat bolt upright, panting and sweating, she decided to explain her sudden appearance.

“I heard a scream! What was it? Wompa, tauntaun, rancor … oooh, I hate rancors! Wait, bad dream? Bad dream! Oh, they’re horrible! All right, tell me everything! You were naked in the middle of a crowded street? You had a test and you hadn’t studied? A bounty hunter was chasing you into a washing machine?…” She asked the bewildered dreamer breathlessly. They didn't reply. They were too shocked to even begin to formulate words.

Very good, no spelling mistakes and a good story...we both accept:)
Now you'll be labeled as a rogue, but as soon as you start your training as a handmaiden you will get your handmaiden banner.
