Title: The Warder Mansion

Confessor - July 23, 2007 01:16 AM (GMT)
Alex had arrived on Coruscant three hours ago. The journey through space had been relatively short and uneventful. As Foxfire continued the journey through hyperspace Alex had thought over at times the consequences of having a weapon without the proper paperwork. She knew that if she kept the Firestorm in her possession then she was surely to attract unwanted attention. She placed the weapon into the garbage disposal vent and dumped all of the trash that had never been dumped by Diego when he was alive. The weapon and all of the garbage the two of them had acquired on their journeys was shot into the depths of space. Nobody would ever be able to find the weapon. She also got rid of all the contracts from Jabba as well. All of Diego’s deeds were lost forever in the depths of space but his memory lived on. Her final thoughts were for her to offer whatever help she could give to those who were in need and not steal from them. She knew her piloting skills and hacking skills would come in handy one day but when that was she did not know.

During the flight she thought of her last conversation she had with her parents and the way Diego stood up for her. To her that was the noblest thing he had done ever since she first met him. From then on she learned all she could from him and you could say he even rubbed off on her. She wondered what her parents reactions would be but she needed to have closure between her and them. Her thoughts turned to what she would do once she finished there. Perhaps she would go visit Dex’s Diner, she hadn’t been there in a long time and she ready for a large chocolate malt and a scrumptious burger. Yes, that sounded like a very good idea indeed.

After she had the proper authorization from the hanger bay she landed Foxfire and left the hanger but only after she placed the security system on the ship. She didn’t want anyone besides her on board. It was no use kidding herself she the ship was hers now and there was no sense in taking anymore chances. She had to look behind her back a few times as she made her way to the Fobosi District where her parents lived. Several lights lighted up the walkway to the mansion but the mansion itself was quiet. As she walked through the driveway what worried her was if her parents had changed the security code.

She stepped up onto the porch and opened up the secret panel and typed in the code. When the screen didn’t turn red she smirked. The idiots hadn’t changed it at all. They must have expected her not to come back again. Well they had another thing coming.

The door opened up silently and she slipped inside. There was a light on in her father’s study and she could hear voices coming from the room. Quietly she walked through the enormous entrance and onto the carpet. She avoided the section in the floor that squeaked knowing full well that would give her away. She was just at the entrance when she heard loud footsteps that without warning turned into running. She knelt down and as the man ran into the room she did a sweeping motion with her legs making him fall flat onto his face.

She took a few steps back as she saw her mother, Lucille turn on the light. Her mother helped her father, George onto his feet. When he realized who it was; he flung himself at her but Alex was ready she moved with lightning speed and reversed her body around his and caught his left arm in her right hand and held him by his throat.

"If you don’t use that brain of yours I will hurt you more. Now, if you would just sit down I will explain the reason I am here. I am going to let you go and I don’t want you to try that crap again, if you do I’ll knock your teeth out. Do you understand?" she snarled.

"I understand..." he choked out and only then did Alex release him.

George coughed a few times before he looked at his wife. "Sit Lucille."

Lucille did this without questioning and Alex’s noticed a change in her mother’s once friendly eyes. She ignored the anger and hatred in her father’s eyes as she sat down on the arm of a chair and looked at both of her so-called Parents.

"For starters Diego is dead..." And before she could continue her mother interrupted.

"It’s about time! He was a Stupid Man! Besides, you too would be killed!"

Alex couldn’t believe her ears. Her mother wanted her dead. She closed her eyes for the briefest of time and then opened them. "I don’t hate either of you for what you did. You know what though?"

"What?" George questioned.

"You two should beg forgiveness for the way you treated me. You NEVER Loved me! You sent me away to be away from you. And now you are all alone to spend your money which you greedily take away everyday from innocent people! You are two people who will burn for what sins you have committed. Oh yes father....I know about your little secret you hid from Lucille."

A smile crept onto Alex’s beautiful lips. Lucille frowned and asked, "What secret...."

George laughed. "She doesn’t know what she’s talking about Lucille. Ignore her!"

"Alex...?" Lucille asked softly, "what secret....?"

"Do you know his business partner Emily....?"

Lucille nodded.

"Well don't you wonder why George gets home so late??"

Lucille frowned and shook her head.

Alex pointed her finger at George. "He’s been sleeping with the wench for the past five years you idiot cow! Hasn’t it been obvious to you?" she yelled as her eyes turned to her father. "You both are a disgrace to me! You always have been. My true father is dead because he choose to sacrifice his life for my safety and freedom. Now I only ask that I get my things and leave you two to your miserable and worthless lives."

Lucille’s face paled and she stood up and punched George in the face and stormed out of the room. The punch she had given George a bloodied lip and he sneered up at Alex. When Lucille was upstairs he stated, "I have gotten ride of all evidence that you are our daughter. Everything from your birth certificate to your name in the deed, to your pictures. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. Your mother didn’t want me to throw away your clothes or stuff in your room until you claimed it. I was hoping you wouldn’t come back."

Alex looked down at her bastard father. "Well You will Never have to worry about that. I will never again show my face here. You two are no longer my problem. I bid you Adieu."

Alex then left the room and walked up to her ‘room’ or was it? The room had never been a room but instead a 20 by 20 prison. She grabbed her three-laptop computers, all of her music, game, and book collection, clothes, boots/sneakers, and a few photo albums she knew that were pictures of her alone. She grabbed a very large duffel bag and quickly and quietly placed everything in it. Once everything was all zipped up in the bag she left the room and didn’t give it one final glance. Her father waited for her at the stairs. She didn’t give him one look as she walked past him and went to the door. She stopped at the door and said her final words. “If you were smart you’d change the security code.”

With that stated she left the grounds and as she walked back to Foxfire and her TRUE home she knew it would be best to get rid of the foul name of Alexandra Nikki Warder and leave her past in the past. She smiled with pride and looked to the future and somehow she knew it would be filled with good deeds.
