Once all of the ruckus died down Diego led Alex onto the Landing platform where his light freighter with the name of Foxfire waited. He walked up to the ship and punched in the password and the platform disengaged. Hissing and steam could be seen as it was lowered but once it had hit the metal floor Alex rushed on board followed by Diego close behind as he watched out for anyone who was after them. Once on board the ship he closed the platform and went directly to the cockpit. Alex sat beside him in silence. He pushed a button which ignited the engines and took hold of the steering handle and asked for clearance from the base.
He gave his serial number and name. A few moments went by and the top airman gave him clearance on hanger 22. Diego said his thanks and proceeded to put the ship into the air and flew to Hanger 22. Once through the hanger he hit the Hyper Drive and cast them away from their troubles.
Looking over at Alex he asked her. "How you holding up, kid?"
Alex nodded. "I'm fine..I'm just a bit tired that's all. I'm gonna go and take a nap."
"All right you do that. I'll wake you up when we are there."
Alex gave Diego a quick kiss on his cheek and left the cock pit. The door closed quietly behind her and Diego let out a sigh. How was he ever going to explain to her that he had plotted a Course to Tatooine. He wanted to have final words with Jabba before he left. He knew he was going to break Alex's heart when she heard the news. Alex had found her place on the only bed in the ship and quickly fell asleep. The exhaustion of today was too great for her and she had a dreamless sleep.
