"Cisco Rodriguez... sounds like a spice runner, not a killer....." Kayen muttered to himself as he made his way out of the camp. As he walked, he swung his Slugthrower forward on his shoulder and opened the chamber, lifting two high velocity slugs from his belt. Once the rifle had been loaded, Kayen continued into the dense jungle.

He decided to take the high road through the jungle, ascending one of the less steep cliffs of the forests. He climbed to the top of the slope and started to unsteadily walk along the edge, his orange eyes examining everything below as he tried to stay as silent as possible.

After an hour of steady walking, Kayen's surgically repaired ankle was beginning to burn and he was developing a slight limp. "Ahh... damn I don't know how I get myself into this..... ohhhhh what have we here?"

Kayen whispered as he knelt down beneath some thick underbrush, carefully pulling the pair of binoculars from his belt that he had taken from the camp. He lifted the binoculars to his eyes slowly and focused on something about sixty meters ahead of him. A man, about thirty years old, was sitting near a campfire on the edge of a rocky cave. It was Kayen's target.

Slowly lowering himself to a prone position on the wet ground below him, Kayen pulled his Slugthrower in front of him and rested the long barrel between a forked piece of rock. Studying the butt of the rifle into his shoulder, Kayen lined up the sight of the rifle with the head of his stationary target. He adjusted for the height and wind speed and then he tightened his finger around the trigger of the Slugthrower.

Kayen took a deep breath and held his breath, keeping the Slugthrower perfectly steady and then he fired. The Slugthrower spit its high powered slug straight towards the target, and with an explosion of blood and brain matter, Rodriguez fell to his back.

Kayen grinned and took a breath as he stood up, returning the Slugthrower to his back as he cautiously advanced down to retrieve the proof of his kill and then he headed back towards camp with the head in hand.
