Kalin and Ayanna were now halfway walking to their destination. They crossed a lot of nests with Viper wasps, which were very dangerous, cause their sting contained Venom. It was hard to avoid them. Luckily they didn't face any other dangerous creatures, until now they only saw herbivore creatures such as the Tybis.

Walking further Kalin detected more danger as he noticed an old nest. No creatures were present, but he sensed they could be nearby. It seemed to be a nest of Kliknik, giant instectoid creatures, though these creatures mostly hid themselves in underground hives.

"They are coming...." Kalin said in a low voice.

Ayanna stepped closer to Kalin, then grabbing to her lightsaber. She could sense a number or creatures were approaching, but she could not tell what. She was not knowledgable on the many fauna of the different planets. She gave a little look to Kalin who was deeply concentrating.

"What are they?....... Do you want me to...."

Suddenly, the trees around them began to come to life with rustling in the area. And the thudding of footsteps coming towards them.

"In the name of!...." Ayanna shouted as on of the created charged at her, luckily Ayanna was able to slice it in two as it tried to race at her, though it had been a close call.

"Just hold them back! We need an escape plan!"

Kalin was slashing his way through those instects too, but there were just too many of them. The only way they could esape was by taking a little side-tour otherwise they could never reach the temples.

"We have to move back, there's no other option, we have to flee,...there's no way we can defeat them all.

Kalin grabbed Ayanna by her arm and pulled her way back to flee.

As they began to back off, Ayanna stretched her hand out and with that, the trees around the creatures began to grab at them, crushing their bones and tearing apart at theis skin.

"Kalin.... Help me!!" She said, signalling for him to use his saber while she tried to kill as many as she could. The ones that neared her were sliced down by her own lightsaber. She began to sweat as the fight became very stressing.

Kalin grabbed Ayanna and told her to stand back while he unleashed a great ammount of Force Lightning on the creatures, which killed dozens of them...still they kept coming. But his actions gave them some advantage, they had gained ground to flee from them.

"Just keep running, I'm exhausted and can't use my powers again...I really....have....to...rest" Kalin spoke tired as he panted.

She nodded and then used her Force Deflection to slam the creatures backwards, giving them the ability to escape before they recovered. They continued to run until finally Ayanna grabbed at Kalin's shoulder, and suddenly they ascended to the tree tops, until they finally rested on an enormous, thick branch that was more than 5 meters wide. They were high out of the reach of the predators, and also at a good height to get a decent view of the surrounding area.

Ayanna walked to the gigantic base of the tree and sat against it, it was a good place to rest, although they would not be able to stay there for long.

High up the trees, Kalin was still panting from the amount of lightning he used on those creatures, but they were now out of danger. So they both rested to regain their strength.

"phew...that was a close draw....now I see how that plant surge can be handy in these kind of situations....in this environment..."

He paused to catch his breath.

"But...we have to move on...we can't stay here long, soon it will be dark, and no doubt those creatures will return...who knows what creatures come out in the night..."

She stood up and looked at the view they were gazing on, as the golden sunset was filling the sky with an orange and red glow.

"Hmmm.... We'll see...... I can't protect us from everything, but I can make a difference...... We will be safe here for a little while..... But you're right, when night falls..... No idea what sort of creatures will come lurking out of the darkness...... It's a beautiful planet..... Reminds me of home......."

She looked back to him and kneeled down to his level,

"Are you alright?..... That really took alot out of you didn't it....."

"Yes...It did...it was unbelievable...I never used such Force again, not in any other or in this technique....Force lightning can be very demanding on your strength, but also on your body."

Kalin showed his hands to Ayanna where smoke rised from wounds caused by the lightning.

"It will heal...it's alright."

Kalin stood up himself.

"We will try something else...to get passed those creatures...we will use the trees...we will jump from tree to tree to get to the temples.
We should only be able to avoid those Woolamanders...they are herbivores, but they are very curious creatures so they could get us into trouble...Do you think you can manage that? Jump from tree to tree? It won't be easy."

Kalin made the first jump and waited for Ayanna to jump aswell. Basically he didn't expect 'no' for an answer, otherwise they would only have a small chance to survive in the jungle.

Ayanna smiled as a branch of the tree he stood on towered near to her by her will. She made a far shorter jump than Kalin had made, and stood as the branch dropped her off where he stood.

"This will be no problem at all...." She grinned, "Really..... This is the kind of place I like to be...... If Chris had tried to fight me here...." She laughed as she then jumped to another tree as it swayed, allowing her to land on it.

"What do you expect to find in those temples?" She shouted back at him.

Kalin only gave a short answer, "Answers..."

Kalin could not rely on a power such as plant surge to move between the trees....he had to rely on his Force Strenght to do so which was as it seemed more demanding. Both moved from tree to tree and when it became night, they got extremely close to the temples.

"There they are...beautiful...aren't they..."

A loud sound came as they saw several starfighters flying passed the trees.

"Where did they come from?!" Kalin asked himself.

He watched carefully as they ascended further into the sky dissapearing in space.

"So it is true...there's a rebel base here...we have to find it..."

Ayanna began to smile,

"You want to find the Rebel Base? What then? We can't take it on by ourselves can we......."

She watched another starfighter as it vanished behind the trees.

"There..... One landed....... Shall we?...... If you want to then we must move now....... Common....."

She raced ahead of him, beginning to jump down the branches before finally crashing her feet off the crunchy ground that was covered in leaves. She then raised her hood to conceal her hair which was shining like gold in this place. She then looked upwards, waiting for Kalin.

Ayanna began to smile,

"You want to find the Rebel Base? What then? We can't take it on by ourselves can we......."

She watched another starfighter as it vanished behind the trees.

"There..... One landed....... Shall we?...... If you want to then we must move now....... Common....."

She raced ahead of him, beginning to jump down the branches before finally crashing her feet off the crunchy ground that was covered in leaves. She then raised her hood to conceal her hair which was shining like gold in this place. She then looked upwards, waiting for Kalin.

The pilot stood next to his starfighter as he was scouting the planet for any hostility. He saw everything was safe and secured until Kalin landed right next to him and knocked him out.

"hmmm...the pilot is down...so he can't betray our presence...I have an idea."

He observed the pilot's body.

"The pilot is about my height....I can disguise myself as the pilot to enter the base!"

He looked back at Ayanna.

"The only thing that worries me is how we can get you inside the Rebel Base..."

She raised her eyebrows a little,

"Don't ask me.... But something tells me that either way I'm not going to like the idea...... What are you going to gain from going in there apart from getting us both killed!..... report back to Vader that you've found them..... He'll deal with them......"

She walked a little further towards where the pilot was situated, though luckily he had not spotted them yet.

"What is he doing?..... He's just standing around......"

Suddenly out of the trees, another transport ship arrived, that the pilot seemed to be waiting for.

"Oh no...Rebel Soldiers...quickly hide!"

When hiding behind the trees, the pilot tried to understand what just happened. He didn't know he was knocked down. His supreme officer ordered him to visit the medical bay later.

"I can't report to Vader where the rebel base is...simply because I don't know where it is yet! We didn't see where these fighters came from! Besides if Vader came here immediatly, he would destroy my current plans...he can't know I've been here...or he'll suspect something!" He whispered to Ayanna.

Quickly try to hide behind the transport, they're coming in our direction. Kalin moved and watched how the soldiers were walking. He increased his speed with what Force Strenght he had left so nobody saw that he tried to hide behind the transport. Kalin waited for Ayanna to do the same.

Ayanna prepared herself and when the men were distracted with their chit chat, she ran over, also trying to mimic Kalin's Force Strength move. She then stood shoulder to shoulder with him, turning her head from behind the transport and looking to where the Rebel Soldiers were,

"It's funny.... You have the marvelous technique of exciting me into following you on some grand adventure, only for me to end up regretting it half way through...." She said raising her eyebrow and looking to Kalin with a half smile.

"Funny....there...the pilot is standing there...I'll have to knock him out again...then I'll take the starfighter to get to the base...there are other reasons I want to get to the base...if they changed one of the temples into their base, then there is a small chance its the same temple where Anakin fought Asajj Ventress...Besides I still want to find out more about Jin-Ho...if she is alive...I'll deal with her!"

He started to crouch looking in the direction of the pilot.

He whispered, "Listen, hide inside the transport, stay unnoticed...I'll take out the pilot and find my way back to the rebel base...we'll reunite later!"

Maybe she didn't like this idea, but it seemed like the only option for Kalin at that moment, nothing else would satisfy him. Quickly he punched down the pilot. Stripped him from his pilot gear and hid his own clothes inside the starfighter, he climbed inside and ascended. Looking at his starfighter, he saw he was assigned by the codename of Red five.

"This is Red Five, requesting an urgent return to the base, there are suspected spies close to the base, I repeat, two possible suspects have been spotted close to the base"

He ascended the starfighter above the trees while he saw a flash of light which guided him back to the Rebel Base.

"Okay, this is Bravo Leader, report back once you have returned, Red five. Admiral Dodonna wants a full report on these suspects you've located."

Kalin was worried that people wouldn't recognize him as the pilot known as "Red five". If somebody saw him once he landed back in the base, he was in for soem serious trouble.

As Kalin took out the pilot, Ayanna wasted no time and ran inside the transport. She crept inside the cargo hold which was filled with medical supplies. She hide behind one of them, it was unlikely that any of them would go back and check on it. She began stealing some of the supplies for themselves as no doubt they would need them in the near future.

She could hear Kalin leaving in the starfighter, she just hoped he knew what he was doing and hadn't left her for bait. As she waited a while longer, she began to hear voices coming from outside. The voices drew closer and were now on the transport, the pilots.

The ship began to lift to the sky. Ayanna sat herself on the ground to prevent her from making any accidental noises that could attract attention. She just hoped that the transport was indeed returning to the Rebel Base and not to some far off distant planet. if that were the case, she would murder Kalin for getting her into this mess to begin with. But for now, all she could do was wait, and plan what she was going to do when the ship docked.....
