Darth Andeddu was a Sith Lord who created a holocron with the knowledge he possessed, and was buried with it on the Sith tomb world of Korriban.

According to legend, at some point Andeddu's body died, but he used the Force to keep controlling it, even though it had already begun decaying.

Lost in the annals of Sith history for many years, his holocron was recovered by Quinlan Vos and Tol Skorr sixteen months after the Battle of Geonosis as they attempted to gain favor with Count Dooku.

After extracting the knowledge stored in the holocron, Dooku disassembled the artifact and removed a deep red crystal used in Darth Andeddu's lightsaber, giving it to Vos. Whether the holocron is still there now when Palpatine restored the tombs is unknown.

As her final trial, Kalin and Ayanna entered the tomb of Darth Andeddu, for it is speculated the title of "Darth" came from his name, whether this is a fact remains unknown. As an undead Sith, Kalin learned he had connections with the dead. His vision not only showed him the past, the dead, but he had such a grip on it that he could enter the mind of the dead, making the visions become more real. By his own will, Darth Andeddu could endure visions himself of the past, facing his fears.

Kalin wanted Ayanna to face the past, but he himself wanted a vision of the past, hoping it would unravel more of the mystery that he was looking to exploit. What Ayanna would see was unknown to him. But it wouldn't be easy. As he stood in the tomb, Kalin called for Darth Andeddu's spirit.

"Great Lord of the Sith! I call upon your wisdom to let us both enter the past....to face the dead....tjo face our fears!"

There was no answer but the tomb started to shake inside and he allowed them to see, not what they wanted to see, but what Darth Andeddu wanted them to see. Their fears, their nightmares, their battle with the dead.

As Ayanna looked around her as the walls shook, everything around her seemed to change and transform into something else. Instead of the dark walls, she saw the deep rooted thick jungles of her home planet. The planet she had not seen in a long time. She began to walk, although she was shaking almost uncontrolably, as it was unnaturally cold.

She continued through the dark jungles until she finally came to her home, which looked as new as when she had adored it as a child. As she looked, she saw a comotion as lightsaber blades clashed off each other. Ayanna tried to peer to see clearly what was going on, but in that, began to ran towards it.

By the time she got there, the battle appeared to be over. And there on the floor lay three dead people, a man, a woman and a child. It was her and her parents, laying there dead on the dry grass. And the figure that had slain them, was in the form of someone she had persued in her mind for years.

It was Li. But as he turned around, the form changed, and she saw herself staring back at her. Ayanna startled backwards a little. She was confused and had no idea what this meant. Her opposite self simply smiled sadistically and began to laugh with satisfaction. In a moment of rage Ayanna ignited her lightsaber and pierced her saber through her opposite's own chest, but it was like pushing her blade through thin air, it had no effect.

The phantom then clashed it's lightsaber against hers, and surprisingly, it did seem solid. Ayanna struck as fast as she could, but every time she took a slice at her phantom self, it was as though she was fighting nothing. She realised quickly this was of no use, and in a moment of surprise, she ignited her lightsaber through her own chest. As she did, the phantom immediately disappeared, leaving her alone with the bodies of her parents, and her child self. But with that, they too disappeared into the dust, leaving no trace of what had happened there.

She turned off her lightsaber and began to step backwards until she slammed against something, then realising she was inside the tomb, with her back against one of the walls. She let herself slide down onto the floor. She placed her hand on her chest where she had pierced herself with the lightsaber, but there was no wound to be seen. She was completely white, and confused about what had occured and what it all meant.

While Ayanna faced her past, Kalin faced his...or did he?

He found himself on Yavin IV. He walked around and said to himself "Something is not right...". Then he heard a lot screaming. He saw a stormtrooper...wait it wasn't a stormtrooper, it was a clonetrooper standing at some old ship dating back from the clone wars. "Trooper!" He yelled and suddenly the ship exploded. Kalin then yelled again, "ARFOUR!!!" And a starfighter close to the ship exploded too. Kalin looked in fear at what just happened.

And out of the flames stepped a caped woman. Kalin spoke to her,

"I'm going to make you pay for what you've done."

She replied to him in a sinister voice while she removed her cape revealing it was Asajj Ventress herself,

"Come Padawan, your fall will be my ascension to the Sith..."

She ignited her lightsabers, curved ones, red-bladed. Kalin ignited his. They battled for a while on the ground throwing trees at each other, force pushing each other back. Kalin was able to dismantle her from her sabers, then she jumped high up in the trees, and the lightsabers levitated upwards disspearing in the trees aswell. Kalin followed her, but she was hiding. Later she revealed herself and the battle continued jumping from tree to tree, calshing each others lightsabers against each other. Kalin changed his form a lot hoping he could somehow defeat her.

She force pushed Kalin back all the way to the Massissi temples. There she stood on high above Kalin on the temple itself. His clothes were ravaged and it started to rain. Smoke rose from their blades while they waited to attack each other again. Kalin Force Lept to the the platform she was standing on, forcing her back inside the temple where she hidherself again. Kalin was soaking wet from the rain and in the temple she surpisded him. He worked his way up following her, contanstly moving her back to the top of the temple.

Kalin lost his ligthsaber, when she threw a mighty slash at him. He grabbed her by the arms, tightening his grip on her wrists. In agony she had to open her right hand, causing one of her sabers to fall. Kalin called for it and it levitated at the level of his chest. He took it and ignited it again. The battle started to get more intense, he used all his power to force her back to the edge of the temple. There was no way for her to escape now. Kalin knew no mercy and clashed his saber as hard as he could against hers. He saw visions of his friends and beloved ones. Finally she fell into the dark abyss. Feeling victorious he screamedd out. But also out of regret...why he felt regret he didn't know. But he was convinced she was dead.

Then he snapped out of his vision, when he was still screaming.

Out of breath he spoke to himself,

"I killed her....no Anakin killed her...."

Then the voice of Darth Andeddu could be heard,

'Neither of you did. Skywalker battled her twice and presumed he killed her for sure, yet she survived. The third time she saw her on Boz Pity he also was convinced as you that when he slashed her out of fear in the back, she was dead! Yet she survived...as she did now, when you striked her down in the deserts of Korriban!"

Kalin was baffled about one thing, "I do not fear her! She is not my worst fear! Why did you show me this?!"

The spirit's voice faded as he spoke his final words, "You do fear her...as for your worst fear...You are not ready to face it...."

This left Kalin puzzled, but at least he knew know for sure Asajj Ventress was still alive. As for Ayanna she faced her fears. Kalin asked her what happened.

Ayanna was shaken still by what she had seen,

"I.....I saw my home...... I.... I saw my parents...... Dead..... Again..... But I was there too...... As a child.... I too was..... Dead.... Just like before....... It was Li who killed us...... But when he turned to face me...... I didn't see him..... I saw myself........."

She placed her hands over her eyes but continued to talk,

"I tried to kill it..... I tried to strike her down but she was like a ghost..... But in my final attempt, I ignited my lightsaber into my own chest..... And then she vanished, along with the bodies of my parents..... And my younger self....... And...... I have no idea what this means Kalin...... It..... It scares me....."

"I don't know what it means either, Ayanna...Only time will tell."

They walked forward to leave the tomb.

"Well this was your last trial, the trial of the mind. I'm glad to have done this myself....it showed me...Interesting things...You can call yourself a Dark Jedi now...you graduated. You faced your three trials with success...I'm proud of you, my acolyte!"

He smiled at her as they walked out of the tomb heading back for the academy...maybe for the last time now....

"A Dark Jedi...... he he....." She faked a laugh, she seemed to be a little saddened although it was unclear why.

"So what lies ahead now?..... Do.... Do I have to leave here?" She said in an unsure voice, though she had been begging to leave the planet for so long, suddenly it began to scare her a little.
