Chris and the fellow Storm Assassin landed down in the Shuttle. This would be difficult. Finding the Jedi was going to be difficult, spying on the Jedi would be just as difficult, and subdueing the Jedi would be nearly impossible. And here, there were two of them.
Chris had to change into more civillian clothing. After all, they were supposed to not attract attention. He then said he would start scouting ahead, and that the other should wait here in the shuttle. And thus he left the shuttle. It would be lucky if he actually did find them on the first go around.
