Title: New Updates

Padmé - June 17, 2007 08:55 PM (GMT)
Okay, finally we have been able to change a few things on the site, although it was not easy. Our quest to find a working automatic money and shop hack is not going well but we're still looking.

But, we have added a shop that will merely work through posting by request. We have placed a huge list of weapons, armours and other items, along with information pages and prices.

The XP system has been changed slightly, but for the better ;) Every post will gain 100 XP and every 5,000 you can claim your 500 credits, but you will have to inform us when this happens.

We have also added changes to your profiles. As you can see with mine here, I have other data about my RPG character here. If you go to "My Controls" and edit profile, you can add your details there. It will allow other members to learn more of your character when interacting.

Also, your credit amount will be placed as part of your profile, so you must keep an eye on it.

If you have any question, just ask here :)

Umm... I only got 500 Credits once (during the old rules) so i believe i'm still entitled to 1000 Credits... ^^;

On a sidenote, i got two automated PMs claiming i should 'check my donations', but i don't know where that is? o.O

Edit: Lastly, i tried to fill out everything listed under my Profile, but it said my signature was too long all of a sudden... Could you raise the allowed signature length from 500 to, say... 750 or 1000?

Looking good so far... Only thing is that the amount of info that's listed under your avatar now is somewhat... lengthy :P

Yes the profile is longer, but it does add more detail and will help characters understand each other better. You can add the 1000 credits to your account. But instead of placing all the details of your transactions/ transfers in your signature, just place your full credit amount as part of your profile. If you wish you can leave the money you have in the bank as part of your sig and simply put the credits you have one you in the profile. We're not able to increase the signature size, it would encourage people to add too much, we don't want monster signatures lol

The donations thing was part of the hack that didn't work, the guy who set it up for us was unable to fix it, but they are working on it at least which is something, cause they hadn't noticed there was an issue with the hack until moi came along lol So probably the pms you got were sent automatically when he was trying to set it up, so I'd just ignore it.

Well, made a few changes, chief amongst which was putting my entire transfer history into my Update Post in my profile now.

Oh well, as long as it's somewhere... Clicking on my sig opens up the page anyway ^^;

Just so everyone knows, two rules have been added concerning Force Powers and Lightsaber colours. You can watch them here: http://sw-thedarktimes.com/index.php?showt...t=0#entry684397

10. One character per account, at first. Once you've been with us about a week (Not an exact science!), then you can have another character on the same account as long as your RP so far has shown a good standard. Chances are that we'll allow you a third character if you simply ask the staff for permission, though again we reserve the right to refuse if you've been struggling in the RP so far as it is...

Note, however, that we do not meticulously check for multiple accounts.

Umm... i assume that that is still the 'second character is a Slave in your first character's service', correct? I asked about it before, and got that as an answer a couple of weeks ago...

Mayhaps you should add that, just in case? ^^;

Padmé - June 30, 2007 01:30 AM (GMT)
Thanks Jin-Ho, it's been modified :)

Padmé - June 30, 2007 03:30 PM (GMT)
Another update, we have added Force Abilities as an option for your profile. This only applies to those who are studying to be Sith or Jedi.

lewy - June 30, 2007 05:15 PM (GMT)
My profile info is nearly too long...
May you add so that we can write more there?
Now that this comes up?
Not complaining, I don't have force powers, so for me- I'll manage, but...

Padmé - June 30, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
Sorry don't understand what you mean with this? What do you want to add?

Anakin - June 30, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
Also what should be noted, and will be added to the rules, is that we will have a level system as part of this. The lowest being Level 1 (Lv.1) and the highest Level 3 (Lv.3). This will also have to be displayed on your profile if you are a Force potential. Also this will be used to guide the sucessors of battles easier as the stronger capabilities one has, the more likelihood there is for success.

Later when you progress, your Force Abilities will also not be limited to just 5. For the moment we have no chosen a number of Force Powers when a member reaches full potential, but we will add this later.

We added 'locations' to the rules as we wanted to avoid the confusion that you can't just visit some locations on your own free will. You'll find examples in the rules.

The background has been changed as you might have noticed...the image itself is modified and it also doesn't repeat itself when you scroll down...it had it's flaws doing that...for example you could see where the image clearly stopped and the next began. That's why I think a steady background is better. Hope you enjoy it!

lewy - September 26, 2007 02:37 PM (GMT)
Yeah! This is much better! Good work, again! :)

Jin-ho - September 26, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
Seconded, good work ^_^.

Looks much more eventful now too unless it's just me

Kalin Thalis - November 3, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
Me and Ayanna have decided to delete the planet of Taris. As we thought it was pretty useless and members did report this forum was too big with the amount of planets it has to visit. Also Taris had a lot in common with Nar Shaddaa with its casino and cantina's. It was pretty similar so it won't be missed. Members hardly posted there anyway.

Kalin Thalis - March 28, 2008 07:51 PM (GMT)
Just to announce that there are now Swoop Bikes for sale and the casual X-34 Landspeeder Luke uses in every landing bay you can find on each planet. (except Yavin IV, which is a moon btw)
