[Grand Reception Room, Alderaan]

With the ship out of Alderaan's orbit, and the planet getting gradually smaller from her point of view, Jin-ho sighed. She still believed it had been a good idea to ask for notes just in case, but all that political stuff was starting to give her a headache. Rubbing her head, she put the small notebook down again, hiding it under her pillow before deciding to take a walk.

The Tantive IV was a fairly basic Corvette, but nevertheless it had a remarkable state of duty as Bail Organa's consolar vessel. Even though the young Handmaiden found the interior quite a welcome change after the dull gray that usually dominated spaceships, she had little eyes for it at the moment, wanting to talk to Leia for a moment.

Yet, she knew the Princess would be in the stateroom suite, awaiting the ship's arrival. Which meant she first would have to seek out Captain Antilles, in order to get the proper clearance required...

Captain Antilles boarded the ship with a number of guards. He ordered them to thoroughly inspect the ship and report back to him within 15 minutes. The time was pressed and he had so much to organise, knowing that the importance of this mission was high.

He saw Jin-Ho and went to speak with her,

"I didn't think it would be long before we bumped into each other again, although I have to say I'm impressed that you are already involved in something like this..."

Jin-ho grinned back at the officer, making a V-sign with the fingers of her left hand.

- "Well sir, my dad always said i had a knack for showing up in the wrong places at the wrong times... Guess i'm finally developing that skill now." :lol:

If one weer to look back on when she first joined the Handmaidens, they would note how much more used the young redhead had gotten to having important high-ranking people around her. Still, there were a few matters to straighten out.

- "Umm... i know you're kind of busy right now, but can i get clearance to Deck One? There are some things i'd like to ask before arriving..."

Jin-ho chose her words carefully, not really knowing what she would be allowed to say -- and what she wouldn't. Still, she managed to make herself sound somewhat casual about it, even if barely.

"Of course you can.... Remember from now on, we have to treat you as we do Princess Leia, you will be her for the next few days..... remember that...."

He began to walk away and then turned to her again,

"If you need anymore help, just come and look for me.... The Princess will be arriving very shortly, and I'm sure you will both have a great deal to discuss...."

he turned and left.

Jin-ho nodded, looking at the Captain as he walked away. She then headed to her cabin, getting the box as well as the notebook, and headed to the state room, still wearing her Handmaiden garb.

She figured it would be for the best if she were to change clothing in there, with zero chance for prying eyes. Additionally, she mused that Leia would be able to wear her own Handmaiden clothing, and giggled at the mental image of the Senator with bright red hair.

She nodded at the door guards, making no attempts to hide the package that was under her arm. Merely a Handmaiden sent to retrieve some last minute baggage for the Princess, that's all.

The sounds of cheering from outside the ship roared through the corridors. Outside Princess Leia, wearing the exact costume as Jin-Ho herself was wearing, was waving goodbye to the adoring public whom she fought so hard for. After a last wave, she quickly entered the ship and the doors were closed.

Immediately she sought out Jin-Ho, smiling as she walked over to her.

"Nice outfit! Right, we have a few hours before I will be leaving on my own. I will need to brief you on what will be happening..... Once we are deep in space, the ship will come out of Hyperspace, and then a ship will arrive to pick me up and take me to Dantooine.... You will remain here...... Once you arrive on Coruscant, you will be greeted by my father, Bail Organa. He will escort you to the Senate, just to make sure you are alright...... He is no longer the Senator but he is widely respected and him being with you will prevent suspicion....."

She waited to hear if Jin-Ho had any questions so far about the mission.

Upon seeing Princess Leia, Jin-ho couldn't help but wonder if she looked the same way as well. She had decided to put on the headpiece at the last moment for fear of accidentally damaging it, but even without it the dress was a sight to see in any case.

The young Handmaiden thought for a moment, moving her shoulder around somewhat for comfort as she wasn't used to wearing that kind of expensive fabric, nor -- to a lesser degree -- dresses in general.

- "I see... There are a couple of things i don't quite understand about your notes, but i guess that's the type of thing the Senate talks about, doesn't it? Oh, and something else."

She handed the box the dress had been in to Leia, grinning as she showed her the Handmaiden outfit she had been wearing when she boarded the ship.

- "You'd need to redden your eyebrows and eyelashes, of course, but with the hood up you'll be able to pass as me. I am still relatively unknown on Dantooine, after all." ;)

Stifling a laugh, she handed the box with her old garb to Leia. True, there was a large chance that it wouldn't even be necessary, but the joke had been too good to resist.

Leia smiled at the gesture, "No, it's alright, you can keep your things..... I will be dressing in a simple white attire, Dantooine is..... Expecting me.... But I'm also expected elsewhere on Coruscant..... But no one on Dantooine will know of my presence....... Now.... When my father escorts you to the Senate, he will debrief you, but not much I think, he will be there to assist you, if a question is sent your way.... Though it is unlikely as it is just an information meeting and nothing more...... Avoid conversation with anyone, except Captain Antilles, my father and the guards who will escort you..... If someone tries to approach you, they will protect you..... No one can know that you are not.... Me..... It would raise too much suspicion and we cannot afford that at this desperate time....... I do thank you again Jin-Ho..... You were my only hope in achieving this......"

She smiled.

Jin-ho simply nodded, putting the box down on the ground beside her. She still felt somewhat flattered that the Princess would choose to turn to a relatively new Handmaiden such as herself, when there were -- in the redhead's eyes -- at least half a dozen people amongst the Handmaidens that had her own working experience ten times over at least.

- "Don't worry about it... Besides, we're not through this yet. I think i'll get some rest for the trip over there though, or i'll just end up pacing up and down. I'll see you when we both get back, then?" ;)

Despite her own nervousness about the situation, Jin-ho tried to make her voice casual in an attempt to make Leia feel more at ease. If the way she talked was an indication, the matter would have caused her a great deal of stress, and the last thing she'd need right now was to worry herself sick.

She doubted she could get some sleep though, but there was no harm in trying. Slipping out of the dress and neatly folding it over one of the chairs, she grinned sheepishly at the Princess before laying down spread-eagled on the large, soft mattress of the bed. Due to its -- to her -- surprising amount of comfort, Jin-ho found herself drifting off, hugging a pillow to her as she slowly fell asleep.

After many long hours, Princess Leia and her team left for the distant world of Dantooine, carefully observing that they had not been followied or were being monitored.

The ship landed at the Senate building on Coruscant, luckily there were little crowds due to the high number of Senators and other politicians that were on arrival also.

Captain Antilles walked in to inform Jin-Ho,

"M'Lady, we have arrived..... Your father is waiting for you..." He said, preparing her for the character she would have to stick with for the next while.


The Senate

Now safely aboard the Tantive IV, the tensions in the group had now eased, although the event that had occured at the apartment had left Bail Organa unsure and suspicious. He quickly spoke with Captain Antilles concerning the matter and then rushed off to make further arrangements about their visit to Dantooine.

Captain Antilles walked to Jin-Ho, "M'Lady, are you alright?..." He said with uncertainty in his tone.

Jin-ho had regained a good deal of her composure by the time the group arrived at the CR90 corvette-class spaceship. Although it would still need to be said that the outside air helped a great deal in that regard.

"M'Lady, are you alright?..."

Jin-ho nodded, smiling at him to take away his unease a bit. She hoped it actually worked, though seeing the familiar face made her feel more relaxed as well.

- "No need to worry, Captain. It was merely... unexpected, and Security handled the matter excellently. I can assure you no one was wounded."

She turned to the person in charge of Security, standing amongst the group that had escorted her. A matter such as this affected his station directly, and he had been adamant about ensuring no further breaches took place under his watch.

- "You will of course recieve full cooperation regarding the investigation... I trust that, in return, you will keep us posted?" :)

After the man's reply, she'd give him a friendly nod before boarding the Tantive IV to get back home... Well, almost, at least. Either way, she couldn't wait until she could go back to just being red-haired Jin-ho: she had been avoiding mirrors like the plague ever since donning her disguise...

"As soon as we've discovered what happened, we'll let you know M'Lady..." The guard seemed concerned and soon left to return back to the apartment.

The Tantive IV was now ready to leave, as it began to raise into the skies the last beams of sunlight sparkled the air with a warm orange glow.

The journey to Dantooine would be a moderately long one, and it was clear from all of the expressions on board that everyone was nervous about the move.

Bail Organa suddenly appeared once again to speak with Jin-Ho, after being gone for quite some time.

"Jin-Ho, forgive my rudeness..... I had to discuss the flight at the cockpit..... You must know that this is a tricky situation we are getting ourselves into..... Dantooine is not the most popular resort for dignitaries unless previously invited..... However, I am certain that my meeting with the Senator there, whom I have known for some time, will enough to rid anyone of any suspicion...... As I said, we will meet with Leia when we are there.... You will be able to help her, and you will hopefully not have so many worries...... But.... There is something we need to discuss.... Please, come this way....."

Bail Organa walked ahead of her, as they went down the corridors, then turning into a large white meeting room with a table inthe center. He offered her a seat, and then sat himself down as soon as she had.

"I'm sure you must have suspicions of your own about what has been going on with this mission..... Leia going away in secret and you taking her place...... Our concerns about not being noticed and such..... So to avoid mistrust from you..... I'm going to be honest......"

He gave a little sigh,

"Many years ago, during the dying days of the Old Republic, a few friends of mine in the Senate were concerned about Palpatine's desires to cling onto his emergency powers that had been handed to him...... It was a disturbing time.... And in the end, our suspicions not only turned out to be true.... But they were far worse that we ever could've imagined...... Days prior to the creation of the Empire, Mon Mothma and I admitted to our like-minded Senators of our plans to create an organisation that would stand up to stop further changes to the constiution....... Once the Empire was born.... Our goals were forced to change into saving the Republic...... To destroying the Empire and returning democracy to the galaxy.... Jin-Ho...... Mon Mothma and I created the Rebel Alliance that day.... The day the Empire was born...... And ever since then we have fought for the rights of the people of this galaxy..... To return freedom to the galaxy..... But it is a quest we have struggled with every day..... But most importantly, we have to remain clean on the surface.... If the Emperor was to ever know who was involved, he would execute them without delay...... I am trusting you with very secret and important information today Jin-Ho....... As you see, Leia is now on Dantooine with our Rebel commanders..... That is why we had to keep her true whereabouts a secret......"

He waited for Jin-Ho to make some kind of response, he knew that this was alot of information to burden her with, but considering the situation he felt it was necessary and only fair to be honest with her.

Suddenly glad she had sat down first, Jin-ho blinked at the flood of information that had been thrust upon her. She had heard about the Rebels, and already knew from back at the Senate meeting that Bail Organa had been part of the Alliance, but it was still another thing altogether to hear he was actualy one of its founders. Scratching the back of her head, she looked about while taking a deep breath to let it all sink in.

- "Whoa... Well, i guess that would explain the constant security breaches in your apartment..."

Taking a moment to process everything, she gathered everything she knew about the Empire, and the little she knew about the Rebels -- the Organas throwing in considerable weight in the latter. Nodding to herself, she took a decision, fully realising that she'd be in far too deep to turn back beyond that point.

- "I'd... have to agree with you there. She doesn't talk about it a lot, but i think that's the reason my cousin went into Security, which led to me choosing to be a Handmaiden in the first place."

She crossed her arms, leaning back somewhat in her seat. Everything felt almost surreal to her at that point, and as a result her actions were more casual than one might have imagined -- including herself.

- "So umm... What do we do from here? After we get Lei-- the Princess back, i mean." :)

"She still has work to do on Dantooine.... She is very enthusiastic to help me with all of this...... The day I stood down from my Senatorial duties and she took over..... That was the day she learned about my involvement with the Alliance and demanded to help me...... She has such a fire, and I could not refuse her....... But our safety is of the greatest importance..... No one can know of my involvement, Mon Mothma's and especially Leia's..... I don't know what happened at the apartment last night, and or what it means, but it has made me suspicious, that is certain......"

She sits back a little, rubbing his chin,

"I think what I am trying to say here Jin-Ho..... Is would you be willing to work for the Alliance?..... You can continue on your security studies if you wish, but after this you will be promoted to..... Well..... it is your choice..... You can study politics and train to become a Princess of one of the planets, or you can become Corporal of the Royal Guard of Alderaan, second only to Captain Antilles....... That would be your position on the surface, but I'm asking if you will work for the Alliance as a spy...... A helper....."

Jin-ho smiled, looking at the Prince Consort with gentle determination.

- "Yeah... Saiya asked me the same thing back when we went out to visit Naboo. I've thought about it since then, and i'd have to say... Security would be my choice."

Her smile then turned into a grin, and she winked at the older man sitting in front of her as she added something.

- "As for the Alliance... Well, i suppose i could always do that on the side." ;)

"I'm glad to hear it.... I will leave it to my daughter to find a place for you...... Jin-Ho..... Once this mission is complete, you will be Corporal of the Royal Guard of Alderaan...... A profession which will pay you 800 Credits per week..... A fine start..... And as for the Alliance, I'm afraid we do not pay well, but I will see to it personally that you are given your own starship..... Something you can fly on your own...... It's not much, buit it is all I can offer you at the moment........ I would rest for now Jin-Ho, it will be some time before we are on Dantooine..... You will have to stay disguised as Leia until then..... When we meet with her, effectively the mission is over..... But there will be so much more for you to do....... Speaking of Saiya..... I have a surprise for you..... She too is on Dantooine..... She has been a great help to the Alliance for years now....."

Jin-ho had the feeling a thermal detonator couldn't have wiped the grin off of her face right then. With her head in the clouds, she could only vaguely recall thanking Bail Organa repeatedly before finally making her way back to Deck 1 to get the sleep she had been intending to take back on Coruscant.

The dress and headpiece were again neatly folded and placed on a nearby piece of furniture, and the young girl then fell asleep listening to the barely audible hum of the Tantive IV's engine arrays.

After many long hours they finally arrived on Dantooine. Bail Organa turned to Jin-Ho,

"Captain Antilles will escort you to...... A safe place..... I will hear from you soon....."

he left urgently.

Jin-ho nodded, still a bit drowsy from sleeping, as Bail Organa left. Stretching out while stifling a yawn, the red headed girl decided to don her disguise as Leia again just in case, while she'd wait for Captain Antilles to arrive.

After all, they were supposed to be making a switch, and having two 'Leias' walk around on Dantooine at the same time would probably defeat the purpose anyway.

So she waited for who now was her superior officer, and hear what the plan was for making the actual switch.

With most of the commotion over with, Jin-ho waited for the Tantive IV to leave orbit before heading over to Leia's cabin. There was a number of things she wanted to talk to the Princess about, chief of which being a certain news bulletin she had caught on the HoloNet a few hours ago...

Knocking on the door of Deck One, she waited for a response before peeking in, and closing the door behind her in case she wasn't coming at a bad time.

Leia opened the door and welcomed Jin-Ho ito her room, which was decorated with strange items that she had collected from the many worlds she had visited.

"I spend so much time on this ship, it's become a second home to me..... How can I help you Jin-Ho.... Is everything alright?" She asked concerned.

- "Well... yes and no. You see, there was this news bulletin on the HoloNet recently..."

As Jin-ho started to talk about what was bothering her, and that there was probably a price on her head now, she sat down. The door had closed before she started talking though, which she figured was for the better.

There was more, of course, but she'd move on to the topic of the strange robed woman she had seen once she'd know what to do about the investigation. This was the first time she had a bounty on her head, after all...

"You know that me and my family will always protect you, also the Alliance... We would not neglect you now..... If this Bounty Hunter comes anywhere near you, we will protect you and negotiate with him...... However, you can never be too sure.... Take this.... It is a DL-44 Blaster.... It is still a small weapon that can be concealed but it is power powerful than the Hold-Out blaster you carry..... Do not hesitate to use it if you feel it is necessary..... But stay with people.... In numbers you are always safe...."

She handed her the blaster.

OOC: You can read up info about the weapon at the shop.

- "Thanks, it means a lot to me, i appreciate it."

Jin-ho accepted the blaster with a weak smile. Much as with the hold out blaster, she hoped she'd never get around to actually using it on someone at anything higher than the stun setting, but she figured that to be common sense. She wasn't a cold killer, after all.

- "The second thing i wanted to talk about is when i decided to take a ride through the Plains. I had talked to Saiya just a bit earlier..."

She told Leia everything that had happened in the cave, including a vague description of the woman in brown robes she had seen in the cave with the pretty crystals. She also stated that she didn't understand how the woman managed to evade notice from the monsters as well. Though not exactly something that she was worried about per se, it was still something that puzzled her, and considering Leia had been to Dantooine more often than she had, maybe she'd know more of it herself.

"You were lucky to escape alive from those caves, they have been plagued by monsters for centuries..... And the woman you saw? Strange..... Perhaps a hermit or sorts, it's hard to say. Maybe even a hunter....... Many come to Dantooine to hunt the different species, in the past it was even used by the Mandalorians, but that time has thankfully passed....."

Jin-ho frowned a bit, putting what she knew of the Bounty Hunters and Mandalorians togetgher and placing the strange woman she saw next to it.

- "Hmm... No, i don't think she was one of those. Like i said, she wore a brown cloak, and not much in the way of armor and blasters as far as i could see... Which would be odd in itself, considering i was being chased by a family of hungry... Kinrath, you called them?"

She tilted her head slightly as she looked at Leia, scanning her face for a sign of figuring out who -- or what -- it could have been.

"I have no idea, it's strange, I will have someone investigate it... If someone is living in those caves then they must be helped! Thank you for informing me..... Do you have anything else you wish to talk about? Once we return to Alderaan, I'm afraid I will not be around so much to be able to speak with you..... I will be shortly 'returning' to Coruscant...." She smiled a little, reffering to their little decoy incident.

Jin-ho thought for a moment, trying to recall more of the strange encounter in the caves. She had run right past the woman, and then her eyes needed to adjust to the daylight for a few seconds -- which would be odd in itself.

- "Umm... this may sound odd, but i don't think she was trapped there. Like i said, i ran past her out of the cave, she could have left any moment she wanted to, and i hadn't seen her arrive."

Jin-ho shrugged, trying to shake it off. The fact that Leia told her she'd have someone investigate it made her feel a lot better as well, since she already knew that whoever would be sent to those caves, they'd be more than well enough equipped to handle whatever monsters had chased her out.

- "Other than that... nope, that's about it. I'd need to talk to Captain Antilles to pry some lessons off of him, but i already talked to you about that, didn't i?" :)

"Indeed" She nodded, "Well he's rather busy just now, but I'm sure you will be able to grab him when we have returned to Alderaan. The events that happened on Coruscant has still left him shakened surprisingly, although for all of us also....."

- "I'll be sure not to tug on his conscience too much, then. See you later!" ;)

For being the one that actually was in danger on Coruscant, Jin-ho was surprisingly calm about the matter. Then again, the amount of potential danger she had been in was multiplied several times during her mission to Kamino, making Coruscant seem almost... normal in comparison.

Saying her goodbyes, she went back to her own quarters, the new (and heavier) blaster holstered at her hip to get herself used to carrying the weapon, like she had with the hold out blaster. She had decided she'd still keep a hold of the other two weapons as well, just in case she'd get into more trouble than she could handle on her own.

The Tantive IV finally came out of Hyperspace and was ready to make its way to the planet of Alderaan, many things were set to change.......
