Title: Wish List

Here's a thread for what you like to see in this RPG. Don't be afraid to open your mouth:D
Jin-ho - June 12, 2007 12:34 PM (GMT)
Hmm...
Even though your fairly busy with the hacks and everything, getting some actual RP done would be kind of nice every once in a while... ^^;
Padmé - June 14, 2007 10:50 AM (GMT)
Indeed, still issues with the hacks. I've sent some PMs to guys who may be able to help. I found a code that would be fantastic, but when trying to install it, it never works, but from reviews it does seem to be a good one! Would give a fully automated money system, shop, lottery, RPG features etc Would be fantastic, so I have contacted one of the inventors of the code for help, as it seemed that he was offering to install it for people. So if I can get him to install it for us, would be perfect. Then we can get this forum back on track.
Any more wishes people have for this forum? Changes? Additions people would like?
Jin-ho - June 15, 2007 12:42 PM (GMT)
Umm... for what i'm concerned, it's a little hard to come up with stuff with so much in the works already...
Maybe when everything's implemented and running i can come up with more stuff ^^;

Well, we had a guy on here last night. The creator of a great hack that would've done everything we wanted. But he wasn't able to make it work! Was such a shame but still I really appreciate his effort. Although he and his friends are working on an even better one, though he says it still has alot of bugs in it. So we're going to look into that aspect.
But yeah, if there are other things, whether it's more planets, more character options etc, just tell us what you think
Anakin - June 15, 2007 10:25 PM (GMT)
If I may add...I don't think more planets or more professions would be a good idea....The problem at this moment is that the interaction between members is weak, because there is already a great choice in professions which is good, but also bad...afteral...you don't see a handmaiden immediatly interacting with a bounty hunter for example.
That's how RPG works...You make a post and you base your post on what the other posted. And so far...for that to work, members have to rely a lot on us, which is understandable cause for example Jin-Ho has no other handmaiden to interact with currently.
This forum is very big which gives it a downside cause while one is in the outer rim, the other is in the center of the galaxy making it impossible to interact. That brings us in a circle. Cause the only way (for the moment) to solve this is more members. That way more activity can be created. But people to get interested in this RPG we NEED activity...All I can say is...promote...Promote...this forum has a lots of potential...think about the interaction and activity if you had dozens of handmaidens...stormtroopers...bounty hunters to interact with.
Jin-ho - June 16, 2007 12:18 AM (GMT)
Yup, agreed.
The main problem is that just like in the Star Wars world there are a bunch of planets and places to visit... However, at the moment a new character joins they don't know anyone on here IC'ly. So even though Jin-ho would be likely to become friends with, say, a Bounty Hunter, they'd actually have to meet first, and have a reason to start up a conversation.
This however isn't something that can be solved by simply cutting down on accessible areas... Characters need to be guided along with GM posts at least until they get to the point where they have a position that allows some freedom to do what they want, and have met some characters to interact with. Handmaidens are stuck with doing what the Royalty orders them to as much as the Empire commands Stormtroopers, and Bounty Hunters are stuck with the missions they get.
So yeah, whichever way you put it, there needs to be some people in positions of power, to be in command. If Jin-ho for example were to become Royalty, she'd have her own Handmaidens under her, which would mean new Handmaidens would potentially already have another potential character to interact with from Day 1. Same with Alexandra (MC's Smuggler). As soon as she gets the funds to purchase a ship of her own, she'll have command of their own ship and get a crew under her.
Until that moment, i fear there has to be a lot of Admin posts to get the plot going... I'm not asking you to rush into promotion sprees, but there is a lack of characters in the higher tiers that ultimately ends up with people needing (and waiting on) Admin posts to get missions or assignments. Sure, they can post on their own, but as long as they're 'green' in the terms of character rank, they're not going anywhere...
...Know what i mean? ^^;
Padmé - June 17, 2007 08:03 PM (GMT)
Well a store has now been added. And it can be used no matter where your character is. That's why we gave it it's own section.
Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - August 19, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
How about something where you can create an image of your character...you know, like choose their hair style, colour, clothes etc...the basic faces would stay the same but everyone has a choice of what they look like? Then these images could be used as our avatars...just a suggestion.
Jin-ho - August 20, 2007 01:28 PM (GMT)
Hmm... You mean like the Gaia Avatar Creator?
Lemme find a link...
http://www.tektek.org/dream/dream.php
Jin-ho (rush job though)
Amelia Rose Fitzwalter - August 20, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
Yeah like that kind of thing!
Jin-ho - August 20, 2007 11:19 PM (GMT)
Well then, you can still use tektek to create your avatar. The site creates images at a max size of 150 pixels, which would fit into the avatar limitations here.
Bluntly put, if you create Amelia on there, and save the result, you can put it as your avatar on here no problem.
