Title: Things To Do, Places To Be...
Description: Jin-ho keeping herself busy :P

Jin-ho - May 6, 2007 11:50 AM (GMT)
Jin-ho walked through Theed Plaza, more specifically past the various shops and stalls that made up its market area. She had gotten her pay, and wanted to buy her cousin a gift for when she'd return to Alderaan.

Looking through the various items on display, she made her way down the street, before corssing it and returning down the other side of the Plaza. There were a number of items she had set her sights on, but she was hoping to find something she wasn't expecting, like she had with the painting for Queen Kylantha.

After having browsed through the displayed items of various shops, she looked at her watch, noticing it was getting late in the afternoon. Crossing the street again to where she had seen a small street vendor sell some good looking items.

Once there, she feigned interest in a few other items, listening to the shopkeeper talk about them. Eventually, she picked up a small water-filled globe, the stone inside of it carefully shaped and painted to show Virdugo Plunge.

As a merchant's daughter, she did her best not to show her initial interest in the item, believing the shopkeeper might try and raise the price if she had. She took care not to look at the details of the item for too long -- for much the same reason -- before casually asking what he was asking for it.

The man replied that he wanted 35 Credits, at which Jin-ho raised an eyebrow, and offered 15. After much haggling back and forth, the selling price was set on 23, and the young Handmaiden gave him the Credits from the money she was carrying, content about her latest purchase.

The haggling reminded her of something else she had wanted to do, and she found a local communications center, and called her father on Dathomir. Collect, of course, they always had each other pay for their calls. It was a game between them.

- "Hey dad, how're you doing?" ^_^

- "Jin-ho! Shame on ye, lettin' yer old man pay fer you... So, what're ye doin' on Naboo?" ;)

The holo-call continued for a few minutes -- mostly with Jin-ho talking, and showing what she bought for Amyante -- and her father laughing when he heard her achievements in haggling. She ended the transmission after a promise to call again once she arrived safely on Alderaan again.

It was getting late now, and she had one more thing she wanted to do before returning to the Palace. She was still carrying around a little too many Credits for comfort, and she'd feel a lot better if they'd be sitting safely in her bank account.

She walked into the Bank building, and waited until it was her turn. She then deposited most of the remaining Credits she was carrying, leaving around 50 Credits in case she needed to make a quick purchase all of a sudden. After the details had been taken care of, she hastily made her way back to the palace again, in case there was more she needed to do.

Suddenly, a com-link in Jin-Ho's pocket signalled:

"Jin-Ho, this is Saiya. Could you please return to the Queen's Throne Room, we are saying our fairwells. Finish what ever business you have left, and return as soon as you can......"

Jin-ho - May 11, 2007 12:45 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho heard the comlink go off in her pocket, and looked around for a less busy part of the street where she could talk without being in the way for the other shoppers.

- "Hello, Jin-ho speaking?"

"Jin-Ho, this is Saiya. Could you please return to the Queen's Throne Room, we are saying our fairwells. Finish what ever business you have left, and return as soon as you can......"

- "Oh, hi! Yeah, i was already on my way back. I should be there in about... fifteen minutes i believe."

After the comlink transmission ended, she slipped the small device back in her pocket, zipping it closed again to prevent pickpocketing. It was a market district after all, and considering it was the capital she figured there'd always be a couple of thieves out to make an easy mark.

Taking a deep breath, she headed in the direction of the palace again, weaving past (and occasionally through) groups of natives and tourists in the process.
