Title: Queen Breha's Royal Starship
Description: Alderaan State Visits

Padmé - April 13, 2007 05:34 PM (GMT)
All events surrounding Queen Breha's travels to a planet will take place here. Only participants allowed who were invited to travel with the Royal Company.

Jin-ho - April 13, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho was reading over the Naboo HoloNews for what must have been the fifth time in thirty minutes. Taking an audible deep breath, she stopped herself from pacing up and down the spaceship's corridor. While it was true that Saiya had already mentioned they had a chance of getting into trouble, and the other Handmaidens and guards seemed capable enough, a pending civil war was more than enough to worry her.

Rolling her eyes at her own antics, she decided to check the ship to see if she could find Saiya, to talk to her. She felt like she needed someone who'd have gone through all of this before, and, well... she was her tutor after all. ^^;

Padmé - April 13, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
It was now a few hours since the ship had left Alderaan. Everyone seemed to have calmed down and sunk into their usual roles. The Queen and Princess had not been seen much as of yet, and stayed in the Negotiation Chamber most of the time.

Saiya returned from another meeting with the Queen.

"Jin-Ho, I'm sorry I have been gone so long, it's been difficult..... I wish you were able to come in with us, but I can promise you that after this journey to Naboo you will be a fully pledged handmaiden...... But first I think it is only fair to fill you in on the present situation......"

She sits, waiting to tell her the full situation,

"I don't know if you have heard about the Viceroy's rumoured links with the Rebellion against the Empire? Well, it seems to be spreading through the Senate like wild fire, and it is effecting almost everyone Organa is linked with, including his family. Although he denies the claims and has always fully supported the Imperial movements, they have been keeping a very close watch on the Royal family and their business......"

"Queen Kylantha of Naboo is very much trusted by the Imperials, she has always favoured Queen Breha, and it is this that she wishes to use to her advantage...... Though I said before that the public of Naboo do not know of this Royal visit, the Empire certainly is aware of it, and it is more than likely that the conversation between the Queens and the Princess will be monitored...... This is highly secret information that I am intrusting you with, but I thought it was only fair to warn you, so that you know how to carry yourself during the visit...... Best thing is not to say too much or too little......"

She sighs due to the situation of it all,

"I'm sorry that this is how your training is introduced, but it will fully prepare you for future events......."

Jin-ho - April 14, 2007 12:17 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded at Saiya as she explained how things were standing. She didn't understand much of politics yet, but she managed to catch the distrust between the Empire and anything even rumored to have links to the Rebellion quite well nonetheless. Should a conversation begin, she'd have to steer clear of the Empire and Rebellion as topics of conversation...

- "I don't have a problem with that, it's just... Where we're going, Naboo... Rumors about the elections are all over the HoloNet, and they even mentioned this 'Darkell' person prepared to seize the throne by force."

Jin-ho fidgeted a bit with her robes, a bit unsure how to continue. Biting her lip briefly, she figured just coming out with it would be the best thing to do.

- "I mean... you've all had training, but what would i do in a situation like that? I'd probably end up tripping over my own feet, i haven't even had combat training yet." <.<;;

Padmé - April 14, 2007 03:59 PM (GMT)
"The Darkell situation is a tricky one..... Queen Kylantha certainly seems to be a good hearted person, I do not see any future problems with her, however, the rumours concerning the election being 'bought' could be true....... That is what Darkell claims..... That he rightfully should've won.... Now no one knows that for sure, but it is know that the Imperial Govenors did not want Darkell on the throne. He is a vicious sort which most think would be favourable, however Darkell only thinks of himself and would just become a burden that they would have to extinguish, and the Empire does not want to have to rid the planet of another Royal....... You do know there are rumours that the former Queen, Apailana was murdered by Imperials, but they claim it is a falsehood....... This is all difficult to discuss, like walking on very thin ice....... But if something was to occur, some sort of violence, then your main objective is to protect the Queen, and yourself...."

Saiya reaches into one of her pouches and hands her a Chrome Holdout Blaster, common among royals and security.

"Keep this with you, if something happens, use it."

Jin-ho - April 14, 2007 04:14 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho listened to Saiya's speech, mulling over the information in her mind. Judging by what she heard, Saiya was less than flattering about Darkell, and from what she'd read about the man on the HoloNet, she'd have to agree with her. Still, she held the blaster in her hands, weighing the weapon and checking its balance.

- "Umm... What would happen if the Queen and Princess would be separated? You said yourself we don't have a lot of people for this trip, and well... Cutting them in half again..." ^^;

She glanced around the room, noticing no one within earshot, but lowering her voice just in case. She was still holding the gun out, though careful at not getting her hands anywhere near the trigger.

- "Also... Could i get one of the guards to help me with how to use this thing?" >_<

Padmé - April 14, 2007 04:18 PM (GMT)
Saiya smiled, she was glad that Jin-Ho was asking the right questions.

"Princess Leia is heavily experienced in combat, I think she is better than all of us put together, apart from Captain Antilles maybe, but it was he who trained his niece. The Princess would always act as a guard for her mother, they would never separate. I know them both so well........ As for training? I suggest Captain Antilles...... You've met him before I'm sure..... He is the best you can ask for....."

Jin-ho - April 14, 2007 04:27 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho carefully pocketed the gun. Not knowing anything about the weapon, she didn't know the safety was still on, but decided against taking unnecessary risks anyway. At hearing who could help her train, however, she frowned slightly in thought before remembering where she had heard the name before.

- "Captain Antilles? Yeah, tha name does sound familiar... Oh! That's the person that assigned me to you! Thanks!" ^_^

After a brief wave, she headed deeper into the ship. Not really knowing where to find Captain Antilles, she figured she'd take a look on the bridge of the ship first. Given that his title was 'Captain' after all, that would be the most likely place to see him.

Padmé - April 14, 2007 04:52 PM (GMT)
The bridge was full of people walking too and fro. Captain Antilles stood looking over the star maps, he saw Jin-Ho walk in..... Knowing that most handmaidens did not come to speak at the bridge without good cause, he decided to see to it personally and walked to her.

"Ah yes, I remember you..... You are in training.... Glad to see you have impressed the right people to be allowed to come on this trip.... I guess my sister sees you as a great potential...... Do you need something?"

Jin-ho - April 14, 2007 05:13 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho blushed a bit under the praise... She quickly recovered though, scraping her throat softly to muster the courage to ask something of the more older and experienced Captain.

- "Umm.. sir? I was wondering... Could you help me in figuring out the basics of this blaster i got from Saiya?"

She took out the blaster from her pocket, holding it from the muzzle with her thumb and index finger. She wasn't intending to risk doing anything with it until she knew how it worked..

Padmé - April 14, 2007 05:20 PM (GMT)
He took the blaster from her.

"This is a holdout blaster, there are a few types, all very simple in design. Just point, aim and fire. Nothing could be simpler. There is no safety on it so I would be careful taking it out of your pocket for a while until you are used to the feel of it. But it works smoothly, I don't think you will find it difficult to use..... sadly there is no way for me to show you how it can be worked, it's too dangerous on the ship and there is no place to practice....."

Jin-ho - April 14, 2007 05:28 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded, taking the blaster from Captain Antilles again. Looking over the weapon a couple of times before (carefully!) putting it away again.

- "Really? I figured there'd be some kind of hologrid room to train in, using harmless weapons... It's just the marksmanship i need to practise in, after all."

Looking at the Captain again with her hands folded in front of her, she wondered if he knew what she was talking about... It had been quite the rage on the space station she had grown up on for a while, called 'Blastergames' or something along those lines...

Padmé - April 14, 2007 06:18 PM (GMT)
"On the Viceroy's ship, there is such a chamber for weaponary training..... But the Queen's does not as rarely are trainees allowed to come along on state visits..... You will be trained in this when you return to Alderaan..... I wouldn't worry..... I doubt you will need to use your blaster on this journey..... Naboo is a peaceful planet....... Myself and my men will be ensuring the Queen's security, my advice to you is to watch, listen and learn..... You never know, one day you may be a Queen of a planet yourself...... Saiya is up for consideration to be a Princess of Iziz, which is the capital planet of Onderon...... In my opinion, she deserves it and it will be highly likely that she will recieve the position after this visit to Naboo......"

He realises this could cause Jin-Ho concern about what her place would then be on Alderaan

"Don't worry, I'm also certain that you will be promoted to my sister's staff as handmaiden...... Which line do you seek.... Protection or politics......... Although in a way, those professions are related...."

Jin-ho - April 14, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho thought on the topic for a moment, but found it a bit too early along her training to make such a decision. She wasn't even a week in her training yet, after all, and she didn't have a firm grasp on what it meant to be a Handmaiden yet, let alone know what branch to start specialising into...

- "Umm... Could you tell me the differences between the two then? What i'd end up being at the end of my training, i mean... I'm having a hard time imagining it."

Padmé - April 15, 2007 10:45 AM (GMT)
"Well, to be a handmaiden is to have a firm grip on protection, security, combat and also a grip on politics. If you decide to take the path of protection and security, you will become like myself, a Captain of security for a Royal or a Senator. If you chose the political route, you can become, as with Saiya, a Princess, which will give you politcal power over a city, after that you can become Queen of the Planet and represent the people. And after that? The sky is the limit, you can become a Senator, Governor..... "

Jin-ho - April 15, 2007 01:48 PM (GMT)
Thinking about the options, she had to admit that protection and security had been one of the main reasons for her to join the School of Protection Services in the first place, not to mention the amount she looked up to her cousin. On the other hand... ruling a city --not to mention an entire planet -- did sound appealing as well, even though her view of politics in general was equal to most girls her age; just a bunch of people talking too much.

- "Umm... Captain? I'm tempted to go for Protection and Security for now. But i'd have to say i'm really short of some firsthand experience, so i can't make an actual decision yet.. Sorry about that." ^^;

Padmé - April 16, 2007 12:11 PM (GMT)
"Don't worry, I was merely asking out of curiosity, you do not have to decide such a thing yet. Was just wondering if you had your mind set on the future about what you wanted to achieve...... Anyway, you should rest for now, we will arrive on Naboo in around 6 hours, I would rest and gather your strength...."

Jin-ho - April 16, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded, and gave Captain Antilles a small bow. She'd give him a proper salute after she'd have gotten more experience in watching other people do the same in order to copy it better. Still, she decided to get some rest, and headed out to her cabin.

Once there, she'd take the gun out of her pocket and place it in the washbasin, just in case. In case she'd oversleep, she figured it would be best to keep the weapon somewhere she'd come across it, especially since she wasn't used to carrying it around yet.

Padmé - April 17, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)
The ship has now landed at the Royal Hangers on Naboo
