Marento (36, father, Dathomir), Amyante (19, cousin, father's side, Alderaan)
History:
Jin-ho was born on Alderaan, as the only daughter of a Dathomir merchant and an Alderaan native. Her mother had died in a Landspeeder accident when she was two years old, and because of that she can't really remember what she was like. Only a few months after the accident, her father decided to return to his home planet Dathomir, and (naturally) brought Jin-ho along with him.
Once there, the rest of her childhood was fairly uneventful, her grades at school being above average, yet not excelling in anything. Her father, though needing to spend most of his time at work, nevertheless did his best to spend as much time with her as he could, and as a result the two had -- and still have -- a strong bond with each other.
However, as Jin-ho became older, she had eventually reached the age where she could apply to a university. Alderaan housed the nearest University from Dathomir, and since the two of them had lived there previously it was the best option in both regards. A few holo-transmissions later, her father had made the arrangements for Jin-ho to live over at her cousin's house, to at least have someone in the area to look out for her.
A local shuttle took Jin-ho to the nearby Space Port, and from there on to a hyperspace transport heading for the Corellian Sector, and the planet of Alderaan that lay within it. Amyante, her cousin, picked her up at the local Space Port, and helped her to get settled in as her classes would start only a few weeks after her arrival.
Her cousin, working as a security guard for one of the larger companies in the area, helped show her around, and introduce her into her own small circle of friends to help her settle in. She also drove Jin-ho to the University to get an impression of the classes they offered, and after looking over the available options the young girl decided to sign up for the School of Protection Services, partially out of admiration for her older cousin's fighting skills as well as following her own interests. Her father found it to be a good choice as well, though it needs to be said that he'd have supported her regardless of her choice of career.
RP Sample:
The doors of the first Transport ships opened with a soft hiss, and a group of people in ZAFT uniforms were making their way from the LZ to the central gathering area. Most of the first wave consisted of Green Coats, but a few smaller groups of Red Coats could be spotted in the crowd as they were herded to the Parade Deck with military efficiency.
Dimilas walked amongst them with a smile on his face. Like the others, he was wearing his gala uniform, including the decorative shoulder rope, the medal ribbons on the chest and the patch on the arm that announced the Division he was in. There was also a small marking on his collar to indicate his rank amongst the Red Coats themselves, although he suspected it to be merely ornamental, like most of the aditions to the gala uniform that had been issued to every soldier enlisted in ZAFT.
Normally he disliked formal occasions like these, muttering he could have used his time more usefully by working some more on his Suit. But this was different. His gaze passed over the ocean, trying to get a glimpse of the terrain they would be fighting near for the planned exercise. He mentally prepared himself for evasive manoevering, coounterattacking, switching tactics in the midst of battle. Prepared plans in case of equipment failure, ranging from his guns overheating to a full engine stall in midair.
Taking a deep breath, he turned his head to look at the Parade Deck, while tactics and countertactics blurred, swirling into a strategic vortex before his mind's eye.
He was prepared.
