Title: Star Destroyer - The Devestator
Anakin - March 26, 2007 06:32 PM (GMT)
The Devastator serves with Darth Vader's personal fleet under the command of Captain Bolvan. When a secret biological weapons research laboratory on Falleen required containment, Vader ordered Devastator to bombard the surface with turbolaser fire, despite Bolvan's preference for a ground assault. At this moment it is orbiting around Coruscant.
RayCaptain - March 26, 2007 07:23 PM (GMT)
Ray walked the halls of the massive Star Destroyer and was amazed at how it was built but it really hadn't sunk in for all the thoughts that went through his mind. First he'd try to make it in the low area of Coruscant by doing dirty work for a bar tender. Then he went to the Acadamy to be in Politics. Next he went to Korriban and met the man that he is still looking for. Now he'd made it through Clone training and was in the 406th Legion for the Empire. This was turning into a great day for Ray! He went to his commander and saluted him. He stood and waited for orders. The commander turned around and spoke in a stern voice.
"At ease trooper! I heard that you just got out of training and there are a few rules you must know. Now I don't have the time or need to stand here and tell you so I'll give you a book to read instead,"
The commander tossed Ray a book and sat back down.
Anakin - March 28, 2007 09:22 PM (GMT)
An officer approached Ray.
"In formation!"
Ray immediatly stood firm and listened what the officer had to say.
"We have a mission for you planned on the surface of Coruscant...you will be brought there the next day. In the mean time, I suggest you keep on training. You might be a Storm Assassin now, but you have to keep yourself fit, trooper."
"500 credits have been put on your account for this little operation. Succeed and you will be transefered to another Legion."
RayCaptain - March 30, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
Ray stepped in and the commander looked back at him.
"Have you acomplished your task?"
"Yes,sir! I told you by the end of the week he'd be dead! Didn't you trust me?"
Ray laughed and sat himself down and grinned.
"I love my job! How about you Commander? Do you like your job?"
The commander sighed, "That is beside the point now please leave,"
Ray rolled his eyes and left to explore a little more and wait for his next orders. Right before he walked out the door there was a message to the Commander and when it turned of he called to Ray.
"I hate to bother you but you must be stationed back on Coruscaunt!"
Ray groaned and walked back to the docking area and went back to Coruscaunt.
Anakin - May 9, 2007 09:57 PM (GMT)
An Imperial Officer approached Ray about an important mission. This was not about assassination. No, a small Rebel outpost had been detected on Ryloth which had to be taken out. The officer handed Ray a datapad which held information of the small outpost of the rebels. They had about 200 troops and there was a small ion cannon which had to be taken out. Two Imperial Tie Bombers and 120 stormtroopers were at Ray's disposal to take out the outpost.
RayCaptain - May 19, 2007 03:51 AM (GMT)
Ray laughed and stood up once again. He loved doing his job.
"I do believe I will enjoy this, sir!" Ray pronounced,"Oncee again I asure you that it will be taken care of quickly,"
Ray jogged down the hall and geared up. This was going to be a bit harder than he'd let on but he'd pull through. This was another moment to shine and prove his worthyness. He got on his ship and left the The Devastator towards the doomed Rebel base.
RayCaptain - May 26, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
Ray barged into the commander's office.
"The bloody camp is gone but I think I might have a little metal in my head. They put a missle near me and now I keep blacking out and stuff. I wouldn't normally tell you this kinda thing but I also saw something. That something was my dead mother. She told me that all of this is wrong. I had to kill a 15 year old boy out there! What do you say to that commander?!"
Ray flopped down on a seat and held his leg.
Anakin - May 26, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
"Every war demands casualties...." He said firm.
I advice you make a visit to the medical bay and have a complete check-up, so you can return to duty asap...
And if you're still bothered about that 15-year old boy...then I'll have to rethink your career. Like I said, war demands casualites...as a soldier you should understand that.
I do congratulate you on the work you've done. You've been of great service to the Empire by destroying that outpost. Get better soon...there might still be more outposts on that planet. We will need you back to lead the campaign, "Lieutenant"!
RayCaptain - May 27, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
Ray slowly stood up and then saluted the commander.
"Thank you sir. I will be in the medical bay if anyone needs me,"
Ray turned and limped off. The talk had help him clear his mind and as always he was back to wanting to shoot something.
Christopher Enyar - June 19, 2007 08:37 PM (GMT)
Chris stood alone in a room on the Devastator waiting for a superior to give him the information of this mission. He was, at the moment sitting down, but he would stand in attention as soon as a superior walked in. He waited for a moment, thinking to himself. He wondered if he would have backup or not.
Anakin - June 19, 2007 08:51 PM (GMT)
An Officer walked in to the room, waiting for him to stand to attention, and once he had, immediately handed him a datapad.
"Trooper..... We have evidence to prove that Senator Remus-Qui is involved in some trading business with the Rebel Alliance..... Several attempts have been made to track down where these routes came from..... They all failed..... To prevent any further trading, we have no choice but to eliminate him..... He will be at the Galaxies Opera House tomorrow on Coruscant..... There can be no evidence of this plot....... Escort him somewhere private..... And deal with him...... Once you have completed your mission, report back here immediately for re-assignment......"
The datapad detailed the profile of the Senator and the mission at hand was approved by Grand Moff Tarkin himself. The officer stood next to Chris when he read the datapad and then spoke,
"A group of stormtroopers will be transported to Coruscant tomorrow..... Report to hanger bay 54 once you are ready for this assignment Trooper.... Is that understood....."
Christopher Enyar - June 19, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
"Yes, sir," he replied automatically. He looked at the datapad curiously. Tarkin himself wants this? This will get me rather high up quickly if I can get my own rank up with him. However, I must tread softly. He saluted the officer and took his leave. He went directly to the hanger bay and took off with the Stormtroopers.
Christopher Enyar - June 20, 2007 01:16 AM (GMT)
Chris returned to the docking bay and made his way back to the same room to meet the same officer. He saluted him, and then stood in attention. "Mission completed, Sir," he said calmly.
He wondered to himself. That mission was relitively easy. Perhaps it was suppose to be harder, for most troopers are not within a relitive level of knowledge to be able to lure someone out. Either that, or I am just overrating myself.
Anakin - June 20, 2007 09:14 AM (GMT)
Again an Imperial officer stood with a datapad in his hands. Another Storm Assassin was standing next to him who was waiting to read the datapad with great anticipation. The mission this time was approved by Darth Vader himself.
"Our troops have detected two potential Jedi on Naboo. The mission involves working as a spy and if you have a clear confirmation if they are Jedi, they must be eliminated immediatly. We only know that one of them goes by the name of "Kalin Thalis". No stormtroopers will escort you on this mission as we don't want to draw their attention. You must be invisible as the night. Echarn will assist you, he is a second-class Storm Assassin. Good luck troopers! Don't fail me!"
Echard looked as he felt hummiliated to be called a second-class trooper. He looked at Chris with jealousy. The Imperial Officer grinned as though he was not expecting to see them back. Facing a Jedi was not an easy task. They had to face two Jedi, though there was no clear confirmation that they were Jedi, the officer seemed sure that they were. The shuttle awaited them and was ready to take off.
OOC: Chris, The Jedi I'm talking about are our own characters, so they can't be killed, you can find their profiles in the character section. This mission was made to built up more interaction and yes fighting...we still are working on a better combat system, but in the mean time no killings can happen.
Christopher Enyar - June 20, 2007 08:16 PM (GMT)
OOC: Excellent! Well, you are about to deal with someone who does know how to fight, and fight well ^_^ Even if I can't kill you, just might be able to show a Jedi a thing or two about how to fight, and how to force an enemy into retreat ^_^ As I say, I am really good at fighting.
Chris nodded. He looked at his partner, Echarn (or Echard). Well, it would definately work well. Now, as for how Chris would take this, that was the real question. He had heard many stories about Jedi. To simply spy on them would be difficult in and of itself. He would have to consider his options.
He started to turn and began to leave. "Echarn (or Echard), follow me." He then walked to the shuttle and left with the 'Second Class' Assassin. Although, if this went well, they might find that neither one of them could ever be called second-class, again.
Kalin Thalis - July 6, 2007 01:46 PM (GMT)
After a long travel the escort shuttle reached the devestator, where Chris' fate would be determined. Vader was personally waiting for the prisoner as he always wanted to deal with Jedi himself, but when he stood waiting in the cell block, he noticed this wasn't a Jedi but that he was affiliated with the Sith ,so to keep the rest from suspicion he ordered the stormtroopers to leave the prisoner in only his presence.
"Leave now!, I will deal with him myself..." Vader ordered.
Chris started to wake up from the long journey, he was tranquelized for safety.
"So, Dark Jedi......What was something like you doing on Alderaan...Did the acedemy send you on a mission there...if so, why didn't you keep yourself incognito, why did you expose yourself in such an act! You better tell me and for your sake you better tell me the truth..."
Christopher Enyar - July 6, 2007 02:02 PM (GMT)
Chris eyes were blank and he did not speak for a moment. His eyes then focused on Vader. "She was a Rebel," he said, simply. "I tried to break into her mind to get information. While concentrating on that, we traded questions. My mind was too focussed to let my will control my mouth. She asked whether I was a Jedi or a Sith, and I told her before I even realised. I jumped her, and was going to escape with her alone, but she contacted the Royal Guard somehow." He did niot speak for another moment, and then, "The Force... such a foolish thing to waist time in... It didn't make a difference. I'd have killed just as many with or without the Force."
Kalin Thalis - July 6, 2007 02:10 PM (GMT)
Vader was intrigued by Chris' information. A rebel who was from the Royal Guard of Alderaan.
"Interesting, so you have encountered a rebel on Alderaan...you will have to tell me every detail you know about her if your life still has some value to you!" Vader sounded commanding
"Then we'll see if we can get you back to the academy, if your information was indeed correct..."
Christopher Enyar - July 6, 2007 02:20 PM (GMT)
"Her name is Morinagare Jin-ho, or just Jin-Ho for reference. She is a Rebel and a Royal Guard of Aldaran. That's all I know of her.... Wait, she also had a brother she was staying with on Aldaran." Chris still had a blank stare, without fear or anything for the moment.
Kalin Thalis - July 6, 2007 02:25 PM (GMT)
Vader took his com-link and commanded to the captain of the ship, "Check all records on the Royal Guard on Alderaan on a member who goes by the name of Morinagare Jin-ho, seek out if she has any relatives there...I wan't everything checked!"
Vader turned back to Chris.
"If your information was correct, then we can see to it that your status is restored in the academy on Korriban...I've been contacted and they stated you were not said on any mission on Alderaan, so you disobeyed your orders, which does not go unpunished...but I heard you had a teacher named Kalin Thalis...is that true?!"
Christopher Enyar - July 6, 2007 02:33 PM (GMT)
"Yes," said Chris, without much of a care. His mind went blank for a moment. And then the thought of Kalin came in, sending a small rush of hatred. This hatred grew, and an image of Jin-Ho came to mind, and made the hatred grow more, but his face was calm, and empty.
Kalin Thalis - July 6, 2007 02:51 PM (GMT)
"By your luck your information seems to fit...a new bounty has been placed over her head...she will be found...as for you...you will not go unpunished...the academy just contacted me back...Kalin said he'll take custody over you, which means you are free to walk around on the planet until your trial comes....then your punishment will be decided..."
Vader left, and Chris was taken back to the escort shuttle which headed back to Korriban.
RayCaptain - August 16, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
Ray once again walked the floors of the beastly ship. It was beautiful to see from the inside but probably looked like something from hell on the outside. He stood around until he found an officer then walked over to have a conversation and maybe a new target.
"Uhm, sir!," Ray called
"What is it? It better be good!” The officer was in a bad mood.
Dang this isn't good!
"What is that over there?!” Ray pointed.
When the officer turned Ray trotted away down the halls laughing to himself. He hadn't ever had that much fun on the ship before.
"I think I've found a hobby," Ray said to himself.
He walked on into the hangars and gazed at the ships...This was the most amazing ship he'd ever been on.
"Like the ships sir?” A pilot had come up behind him.
"Yep...wish I could get off this thing though. Go back to Coruscaunt...go back to the place where I actually belong,"
"Sir, you-"
"Don't call me sir!" sneered Ray.
"Sorry...but you sound depressed," said the pilot apologetically
“Oh you noticed?!,” Ray looked around, “You off duty?”
“No,” replied the trooper.
“Well you are now!” laughed Ray, “Can you get me back to Coruscaunt and cover for me while I’m gone?”
“I don’t feel like getting intervened in your home sickness,”
“Ok…if you don’t…I’ll demote back to Kamino,”
“In that case I can,” the pilot was smiled.
Ray got on a transport and off they went to Coruscaunt.
Ayanna Nyx - November 13, 2007 01:30 PM (GMT)
After the shuttle took off on Korriban it immediately headed for Vader's Star Destroyer known as the 'Devastator'. The ship stayed in orbit around the planet while Vader made his way to the planet. With his return, the shuttle landed in the hangerbay where hundreds of stormtroopers stood in formation to salute him. Vader first stepped down the ramp of the shuttle with Ayanna and Kalin following him.
They looked around as they thought it was rather strange seeing all these stormtroopers who stood in formation. Kalin was used to see them in action, he even fought them, so seeing them just standing there was a little odd to him.
Later they proceeded to the bridge of the huge vessel. There they stood looking out the windows with a great view on the red planet of Korriban. They waited as the ship was about to go in hyperspace, standing both next to Vader. But as Kalin stood on his right side and Ayanna on his left, they felt separated and pretty unprotected against the Dark Lord. They may work for him, but that didn't change the fact they feared him. When the ship finally entered hyperspace, Vader started to talk,
"Our spy network has discovered strange signals coming from your homeplanet Kalin... It seems like Li wants to be found... Maybe he is waiting for Ayanna there... Or for you..."
Kalin was a little baffled, "But my lord... Why would he wait for me?"
Vader responded, "Revenge Kalin.... Revenge....."
Ayanna spoke up, "This has nothing to do with Kalin.... It's to do with me..... He has no need to revenge against Kalin......"
Vader turned his head to her, "Don't be too sure of your assumptions Ayanna..... Li has shown strange activity when Kalin became an assassin.... I'm surprised he didn't notice...." He spoke in a cold voice.
Kalin did not know what Vader was talking about, Li would never be jealous because of Kalin's ascension. He was on his own personal vendetta. Becoming Vader's assassin would only block him for what he was really after, that being taking revenge on Ayanna.
Ayanna raised her eyebrow a little, "If I may ask, why such an interest in protecting me from Li..... I thought the whole point with the Dark Side teachings was survival of the fittest.... If I die, then the best succeeds....."
"That's not entirely true..... After all, Li has become a threat to the Empire.... He's no longer a Dark Jedi.... I don't even know what he is....." Kalin was bold to answer the question instead of waiting for Vader to respond.
Vader added, "Exactly Kalin.... That is why he must be destroyed..... At all costs.... Whatever it takes, he must be killed....."
Kalin looked in front of them out of the window and nodded. Though Ayanna herself could feel a hint of doubt inside her, hoping that Kalin and Darth Vader could not sense it. She still had this weakness inside her that had begun to grow ever since she found out the truth that Li was in fact her brother. Every day, this feeling of guilt built up. She wished that things could be another way and instead of her enemy he would be her ally. But she knew that was close to impossible now.
Kalin Thalis - November 13, 2007 09:53 PM (GMT)
Ayanna left Kalin to speak further with Lord Vader as she began to make her way through the multiple corridors of the starship. It was so large that any could easily get lost in it, which to some would be daunting, but to her it was actually an excitement. She walked passed some officers who gave her a rather strange look, but she couldn't stop herself from grinning at them with a sneaky smile as they did. She liked that they thought she was strange and unusual, because she was.
She found herself in a rather decent sized chamber that was clearly used for sleeping and having guests, as she walked in, a junior officer ran behind her,
"Eh..... My Lady?.... This room isn't.... Well it wasn't meant for you....." He said with a worried tone.
She turned to him giving a sarcastic smile, "Well whose is it?..."
"Well eh..... No ones....." He said back.
She then raised her eyebrows, "Well...... Then I won't be offending anyone if I stay here will I..... Get going...." She said as she turned around facing the interior of the room again.
"Well.... What should I tell..... Lord Vader... And Master Thalis...."
She smiled at the thought of Kalin being referred to as 'Master', "Well, you can tell 'Master' Thalis that if he needs me.... Then he knows exactly where to find me....." She was getting fed up with this little idiot, but luckily he left and bothered her no longer.
She began to think back about what Kalin had said to her when they were back on Korriban he claimed to 'care' for her, and yet he had barely shown evidence of it. She began to wonder what he was meaning by that at the time. Did he care for her as a friend? Like a little sister? Or was there something else to it? It was something she could not figure out but what puzzled her the most was that Kalin was not usually the type to cower away from anything, especially something that she believe he would think as 'trivial'.
It was not long after that the junior officer reported back to Kalin about Ayanna's whereabouts. He was still standing next to Vader and her behaviour seemed a little unusual. That's why he felt a little embarassed as the dark lord looked over to them, when the officer made his report.
"If you'll excuse me....." Kalin turned around though he found it a little dangerous to leave the dark lord without getting an answer from him. Whether he was permitted to leave or not.
When he was about to leave the bridge, Kalin looked back at Vader, seeing that he hadn't moved an inch from where he stood. He walked all over to the chamber where the young officer saw Ayanna and it seemed that she was still observing the room.
He walked inside and asked her in a serious tone, "What do you think you're doing?!"
She turned around with a sneaky smile, "Oh nothing.... Just.... Browsing.... You were so busy with Lord Vader so I took the liberty to excuse myself....." She said as she turned around, placing her hands on her hips as she walked over to the window, gazing out at the stars.
"This isn't a hotel you know! You can't just walk in and out wherever you want! You should be mindful about these things Ayanna.... This isn't Nar Shaddaa....." He commented in a serious tone.
Ayanna Nyx - November 13, 2007 10:25 PM (GMT)
Ayanna laughed at what he said, "Yes I know this is not Nar Shaddaa nor a hotel.... But apart from both you and Lord Vader standing there, trying to look important.... What else was there to do?..... I'm surprised you even noticed I was gone.... Although I have a sneaking suspicion that a little fair-haired moron decided to tell you where I was?..." She smiled again.
"With good reason..... If a superior officer found you first, you would have found yourself in deep trouble young lady....." He commented once more, hoping that she would take what he said seriously instead of joking around the whole time.
She laughed, "....'Young lady'?.... You sound like you are my father..... Alright, alright.... I'll be a good girl from now on....." She said with a sarcastic innocent expression, "Besides..... A superior officer didn't find me..... Did they....."
"No.... But they could have..... Believe me.... The odds of one finding you here are larger than you think..... I'm surprised you didn't realise that....." He said in a sarcastic tone.
"Oh common..... Do you really think I would have cowered and run from that little junior officer? Of course not.... If I sensed someone of more..... Importance.... I'd have been more careful.... Besides..... I have no respect for these...... Imperials..... Pfff.... They wear their suits and decorations and think they know something about the way the universe works..... I don't either... But I know more than them..... And I am certain Lord Vader does not respect them either....." She said as she folded her arms, turning to him with still a sneaky expression.
"Indeed.... I don't respect them.... And Vader either.... But you don't hold them for granted..... There would just be plain..... Naive....." He said with a sharp voice.
"Naive?..... I call it not being cowardly..... I dealt with that boy as a fly.... If it was someone of more importance..... What are they going to do?..... Shoot me?.... I'd like to see them try.... They'd be dead before they hit the ground..... You don't like them either, you said so yourself..... So why pretend to respect them..... Why do we even put up with them?..... We have to hide in the shadows, while they take the front light?..... It's ridiculous...." She said still with a smile on her face.
"Clearly you have no idea how the system works Ayanna.... The Sith are meant to be a secret..... And if you want to keep it that way.... Then you don't go wandering off like a curious bantha!..."
"No.... They'd make much more noise..." She said sarcastically.
"I'm not sure about that.... The resemblance is..... Uncanny...." He laughed.
She laughed at what he said also, "Ha ha, very funny Mr Know It All..... Well at least you're laughing now....."
"Yeah.... That's what happens when you have foolish and ignorant behaviour like that....." He said in a slight more serious tone.
She sighed a little as she walked to him, still finding it all amusing, "You're acting as though I took Lord Vader's TIE for a spin without telling..... All I did was went for a little stroll.... Not far.... And.... Your knew where I was..... I was not being of any use anyway...."
"No.... But whenever you are in an Imperial Vessel, and especially Vader's flagship.... You never leave my side.... We are Sith.... We try to avoid as much contact with the Imperials as possible..... And you're just provoking it.... Getting yourself into trouble.... Now lets get out of here before someone finds us...." He commanded.
She laughed again as she walked ahead of him out of the room, "Oh if anyone sees us, you can tell them I was easy...." She laughed again, "Alright.... I won't leave your side from now on.... Until Lord Vader is a spec in the distance....."
"That's the point.... I wish you were easy..... Well in a different manner..... But you're getting more irritating than Chris was....." He clenched his teeth.
"Oh now you're exaggerating.... I walked away from your side.... I said I wouldn't do it again..... I actually thought I was doing you a favour letting you and Vader speak alone...." She said as her tone became more serious but still with a sarcastic manner to it.
"Just keep your mouth shut and let's get back to the bridge shall we?" He spoke annoyed.
"Sure...." She smiled a little as she walked by his side.
He sighed at her behaviour, this was not how he wanted her to turn out. She was getting overconfident, like any other Dark Jedi. Which felt like he had failed to train her.
Both walked back through the corridors in the direction of the bridge. There they would wait until they would finally arrive on Aargonar.
Kalin Thalis - January 9, 2008 12:59 AM (GMT)
Kalin was screaming when they attached the arm. They gave him nothing to kill the pain. They just opened up what was left to the arm, to connect the technology of a bionic one to what was still flesh and it hurt like hell. Why didn't they give him something to stop the pain? Little did he know that Vader suffered the same but on a much larger scale... It was for the Emperor's pleasure and to work on Vader's hatred... Maybe Vader wanted to the same as he thought Kalin chickened out a bit with Ventress when he ordered to kill her.
Vader stood on the bridge... As usual he was commaning officers around, but he never let his eye go from Ayanna. He spied in secret on her and felt she was in conflict on many issues... Kalin being on of them... Li the other. It seemed Vader still wanted to 'play' with her to find him. After commanding the officers, he approached her and said,
"Don't worry about your brother... We will find him... Then you will kill him..." Vader said out of the blue... As if he knew Ayanna wanted to kill him. But did she truly? Li was still her brother.
"Believe me... You want to... You just have to accept it..." Vader added to his words.
After the operation was a succes, Kalin could move his new arm and it felt really weird. Another thing was that they give him an old robotic one, while now they discovered the technology to replicate flesh. Was the Empire so greedy that they couldn't give him an arm that wouldn't stand out so much as this one? Best way to hide it would be a glove. Kalin searched for one, but so far he couldn't find one anywhere. He looked at his arm for ages. It reminded him of Ventress words of him being the 'Son of the Suns'. He knew Anakin Skywalker also had a bionic arm... Now he was walking around with the same... It creeped him out.
Ayanna Nyx - January 9, 2008 04:32 PM (GMT)
Ayanna looked to Vader as he mentioned her killing Li, "Yes Lord Vader...... I only hope that I will see him before he does me......"
She turned her head, looking to the back of the bridge as she wondered about Kalin. She could feel a stab inside her, as though she knew he was suffering, but why she could feel it was a puzzle to her. The shuddered at the thought of losing a limb, but with her that could never happen. Her body would regenerate always. No matter the limb, although if she lost her head, that would be a different story. She wished there was a way in which she could help Kalin, but she got the impression that the best thing was her lack of presence. She wondered about Kalin, the last they spoke, he seemed to be bothered that she tried to be as cruel in her thoughts as possible. Why did it bother him? He was a Sith, and her actions should, if anything, please him. But he seemed to be bothered, and she couldn't understand why. But more than that, why she cared what he thought......
Ayanna then decided to leave the Bridge, and with Vader constantly observing her she felt less than comfortable, "Excuse me, Lord Vader...." She spoke before leaving and making her way into the corridors.
She wandered there for a good hour, scouring at the officers as they walked passed her, and then finally, she saw to her surprise, Kalin.
"Kalin!!! I....." She noticed his new arm, glinting with silver and black. She could hear the gears of it moving as he moved his fingers slightly, even from the distance, "Are...... Are you alright?...." She said, being careful over her expression towards him as it was beginning to trouble her somewhat.
Kalin Thalis - January 9, 2008 06:21 PM (GMT)
"Yeah... I just try to get used to this... 'thing'..." He replied referring to his arm. He moved it in several way, trying to get used how to control it. Basically it worked like a normal arm, but the medical droid did say that the nerves in the upperarm would sting pretty hard with every move he made as his bionic arms sends signals through it to the brain and vice versa. He didn't mind that it stinged....
It was only temporary until he got used to it. He closed his hand and opened it again, staring at it how unusual it felt to have something attached to his body. He knew people with cybernetic implants, but often they had it willingly to improve themselves... Others had it as they were victims of the Clone Wars.
"How are you feeling... You seem a little on edge...'' Kalin said subtle.
He kept moving his arm... It was distracting. Then he looked outside the window and saw the ship had finally come out of hyperspace. The ship was now approaching good old Korriban... He couldn't 'wait' to finally set foot there again...
Ayanna Nyx - January 10, 2008 07:52 PM (GMT)
Ayanna nodded slightly, "Me? Oh I'm just fine...." She said half sarcastic. She looked out of the window, also seeing that they were once again on Korriban, not exactly the place she wanted to set foot back on, "So what will happen now..... We have come no further..... And if anything..... Been set back..." She said as she looked a little sorry to his arm, though tried not to express she did feel sorry about it.
"I still have no idea concerning Li.... I don't know what to do at all..... He'll find me after all won't he......" She sighed slightly, "It's hopeless..... And Vader seems determined to push me into.... Killing him...." She turned as though to defend her words, "Not that it's not what I want..... It's just...... It's not as simple as that is it..... I feel for him......" She bit onto her lip, thinking perhaps it was wrong to say this to Kalin, but she decided to try to trust him a little, though she did not express everything, "I understand why he feels I must die..... I'd be the exact same if I were in his shoes..... I just would rather be allies than enemies with him..... He's my brother....." She said looking to Kalin, wondering if he would think her 'weak' for saying such things.
"Oh forget everything I said..... Just rubbish...." She spoke annoyed as she walked back to the window.
Kalin Thalis - January 12, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
Kalin listened carefully to what she had to say about Li and other issues she was confronted with. She mostly seemed to be upset about what Vader had said to her. It was all pretty normal to him. Vader can say a lot of things which can drive you insane.
"Well I wouldn't call it a complete failure... We have Asajj Ventress... She's alive... There's is much we can learn from her... Both of us! Maybe we can get the location of your brother 'out of her'... If you know what I mean..."
Kalin looked to the dreaded planet, Korriban. It seemed Ventress was already taken away in a Lamba shuttle guarded by Stormtroopers. Both headed to the Star Destroyer bridge, where Vader commanded to stay and wait for him in his shuttle. Kalin nodded and they waited in the shuttle bay for Vader to arrive.
While Vader sat in the shuttle he was meditating. Kalin felt uncomfortable and spoke to Ayanna,
"So how are you feeling now?" Kalin asked hoping she was feeling better.
Ayanna Nyx - January 12, 2008 01:37 AM (GMT)
She shuddered slightly, "Well let's just say I'm not quite ready to start dancing yet..... I don't know..... Something doesn't feel right about all this..... I feel..... Scared....." She shook her head a little, "No not scared.... I feel unsettled..... Like I have an invisible hand on my shoulder....... And I have to say, this isn't exactly the planet I've been looking forward to seeing once again....."
She tried to change the subject a little away from herself, as it seemed she was not capable of speaking of such, as she turned into a bumbling idiot, "What will happen to 'her' once we've got everything we can from her...... Will she be killed? Would be too good for her in my opinion..... She should be kept locked in a cage like the animal she is......." She looked to him, "What do you think about all the.....'Son of the Suns' stuff she said..... You think she was just trying to tempt you?" She spoke quietly, so that Vader would not hear what they discussed.
Kalin Thalis - January 13, 2008 12:25 AM (GMT)
Kalin sighed as he felt confused,
"I'm not sure what I should think about all this thing... concerning the 'son of the suns'... Why would it be me... Wasn't Anakin Skywalker known as him? And you know what happened to him..." Kalin said referring to Vader actually being the 'son of the suns'... From a certain point of view.
"I don't think she was lying... She was telling the truth, but again... From her point of view... Has she become insane and does she truly believe I am so? I know Vader got nervous when she mentionned 'The Chosen One'... I think that's why he wanted me to kill her... What her faith will be now... I don't know."
Kalin sighed again and shook his head. He had some crazy thoughts in mind. "I'm going to regret this, but... We have to free her!", He sighed...
Ayanna Nyx - January 13, 2008 01:46 PM (GMT)
Ayanna was about to raise her voice in protest but then suddenly stopped and thought for a moment, "You're the one who's sounding a little insane my friend...." She laughed slightly, "But..... But I'm with you..... If you think this is the right thing to do..... Then I will help you....... If I can.... But you do realize the possible consequences of this....."
She thought of what the masters of Korriban or even Vader would do to them if they found out either what they were planning, or once it was all done with, that they were involved,
"Do you have a plan?" She said quietly.
Kalin Thalis - January 13, 2008 02:00 PM (GMT)
Kalin looked out of the window, while he replied,
"Not really... It has to look as if she escaped on her own, otherwise we are in trouble... Thus we have to find a way to shut down the security. That will be our first task."
Kalin looked back to Ayanna,
"But most important of all... We must hide this... I mean we can't think about it or Vader will read that we helped her escape.... He'll sense it for sure... Those thoughts must be blocked!"
Kalin walked in the direction of the shuttle bay. He knew Vader was probably expecting them there to land on Korriban while the 'Devestator' would stay in Orbit.
"Let's not keep him waiting..."
The subject on Ventress was closed... For now. But there would be a time it would return. The shuttle took them to the surface of the dreaded planet, where it landed on a landing platform which was used for Vader's shuttle only.
"Well... We're back!" Kalin said in a voice that didn't sound too optimistic.
Ayanna Nyx - February 23, 2008 12:08 AM (GMT)
Ayanna was not happy to be back on the Devastator, but she didn't have much choice. Kalin had said nothing to her during the whole trip which didn't make her feel anymore confident. And what was Vader's plan now? The troops were searching for Ventress on the ground but why were they brought here? It didn't make any sense to her at all, but all she could do was wait with Kalin until Vader finally spoke.
Kalin Thalis - February 23, 2008 12:13 AM (GMT)
Vader stood on the bridge. He had not requested to speak with Kalin yet which gave him the chance to explain everything to Ayanna. They had to move somewhere off side where no one could hear them, so they left the bridge.
"Listen... When I saw the Devestator I immediatly helped Ventress escape. It was I who burned the hole through my ship so she could escape in secret. She is my only link to find the truth about the 'son of the suns'... There has to be more... I also hoped I could speak with Ventress about Shaak Ti... If she's alive then she could have valuable information for us!"
Kalin looked through out the window to the surface of the planet,
"We have to find our way back to Felucia... Something is happening... I'm not the Dark Jedi I should be... I want more... But I know I shouldn't..."
Ayanna Nyx - February 23, 2008 12:18 AM (GMT)
Ayanna was a little worried about what his plans were, and the fact that Asajj Ventress was also on the loose did not make her feel any better. This was starting to get very dangerous, and added onto all this was also Li who was on her trail. But she was not going to back out on Kalin, not after they came this far together.
"Alright, I hope you know what you are doing.... But.... You know I will help you..... I'll always help you....." She said with a weakened smile. She thought back of something that Ventress had said to her during that time she had been able to speak to her on her own. Ventress said that one day Kalin would betray her. The fact he was now saying that something was wrong with him, and that he wanted more than what this life was offering him, only made her worry and wonder how much longer he would feel he needed her to be around....
Kalin Thalis - February 23, 2008 12:47 AM (GMT)
A stormtrooper passed by who spotted Kalin,
"Sir, Lord Vader has asked for you!" The trooper said.
Kalin sighed as he did not want to confront Vader. He moved his way to the bridge of this giant vessel and stood besides Vader.
"Look I know I failed, but I can still find her..."
Vader interrupted him, "You should have killed her immediately. I do not know what lies she fed you Kalin, but clearly something is on your mind about this prophecy she was talking about when we were on Aargonar. It has risen to your head, didn't it... You're entering a dangerous path here, my apprentice..."
"With all your respect, sir... I do not know what you mean. I know it's all nonsense what she said about the son of the suns!"
"Then why are you looking for him?!" Vader asked in an angry tone.
"How could I be looking for someone, who is already long dead!" Kalin said in an outburst. But then he immediately calmed down as he forgot for a second who he was talking to. However his outburst did seem to convince Vader that he wasn't looking for the son of the suns,
"This isn't over yet, Kalin... Leave now and return to your quarters and wait for my command."
Kalin left the bridge a little shattered. It was a close drawn and he hesitated to continue his research, cause Vader already knew too much.
Ayanna Nyx - February 23, 2008 12:50 AM (GMT)
Ayanna could see that Kalin was bothered about all of this, and she just hoped that Vader would never approach her about it. She wouldn't know where to start. She walked to Kalin, "You alright?...." She asked him though she knew he was anything but, "It'll be alright.... We'll be out of here in no time....." She said in an unusually positive manner, she didn't know why she was trying to comfort him, it just came naturally.
