Title: Residence of Yuli Vlasta
Description: Residence of the Black Sun Vigo
Padmé - March 17, 2007 04:02 PM (GMT)
Hidden in the darkest of shadows lays a beautiful sancurary of Yuli Vlasta, Vigo of Black Sun. From it's outer appearance, the building is a red rusted colour with cracked metal chippings. Inside the floors are lined with white marble with pink runthrough. One would almost think they had stepped into another world. Lined with mini lagoons and artificial waterfalls, tropical plants and trees which freshen the scent of the air.
The main room for her guests lays over crystal blue waters, as the guest chairs and tables appear to float on the water itself.
The abode is of the highest of security. She has more guards than any other Vigo, due to the planet's criminal activity..... An ironic worry for a Vigo. Her servants tend to her needs hand and foot, all Twi'lek slave women, bought on Ryloth. For those who know her, this is a cruel look into her psyché....... As she is a Twi'lek herself......
All who come here, do so at their own risk, unless they are invited. Announce yourself to her guards if you wish to see her.
Her profile can be viewed

EbeneezerAl - March 20, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
Alucard arrived at the residence upon leaving the Organas' home. He needed information, and if anyone knew, Black Sun would know. Much of the details of the organization were a mystery to him. Mostly rumors, none of which were truly confirmed. But one did not grow up in aristocratic society without hearing about something like Black Sun. One had to be on the lookout for shady characters, even the ones that the official records said did not exist.
Ironic, to say the least, that he was know wrapped up in that same shady world.
As he expected, the residence was well guarded. He was stopped at the door by a pair of guards, though he could see that there were others nearby, and likely more that were out of his sight.
"What is your business here?" asked one of the guards.
"I am looking for information," began Alucard, "of a sensitive nature. I was hoping that your employer might now something that could help me."
Padmé - March 21, 2007 01:50 AM (GMT)
"How dare you come here!" Shouted one of the guards.
"No one is to come here unannounced, and Ms Vlasta is on another planet with duties....... Scram out of here with your childish nonesense! Don't show your face here again without an appointment! If Ms Vlasta had been here to witness this you'd be dead now!"
Another guard walked over, and they both grabbed him at each arm and threw him out the door. This was a dangerous place for anyone to come, especially one with no connection what so ever with Black Sun.
Padmé - March 29, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
Yuli Vlasta is now back on Coruscant, if you wish to speak to her, you had better have an appointment..... Or a death wish.....
Anakin - March 30, 2007 10:56 PM (GMT)
Kalin finally arrived at Yuli Vlasta's residence. Looking at the outside of the building he wasn't very impressed.
Two guards were waiting at the door. Kalin showed the blue-purple pearl, the vigo gave him and he was immediatly escorted inside which amazed him. Walking over the marble floor he saw dozen of Twi'Lek women working hard for her. In a glimpse he saw Aristal, although he didn't know if she saw him.
Communicating through the Force he spoke to her again.
"Hold on...Wait for me...I will come back for you.". Aristal began to doubt her sanity. Maybe it was the hard work.
The escort took very long and Kalin gazed at the waterfalls. Guards looked at him with a supsicious look. They surely didn't trust him, but that was not his problem. He had Darth Vader's trust and her trust, that is what mattered.
Finally they arrived in the guestroom where he was told to wait for her. He made himself comfortable and just looked around at the environment. He felt a strong connection to the Force here. The Force is created by all living things. Maybe it was because this place was swarming with fauna and flora.
Padmé - March 31, 2007 03:53 PM (GMT)
The large golden doors suddenly opened, a gaurd walked in, he was dressed in rather strage etire. It was clear that this male Twi'lek served other purposes than just as security.
"Would you come this way please? Miss Vlasta awaits you"
He held his hand, jestering that he go through the doors that the servant himself had walked through.
In the other room was nothing less than a haven. The floor, as with the rest of the house, was made of glass, showing the beautiful blue waters underneath. However, this floor was lit up with colours of blue, red, pink, yellow and green. This feature produced a beautiful shine ripple from the water on the ceiling above. The walls themself were trickling with water in a continuous display of beauty. In the centre of the room sat several comfortable seats. And in the centre of that was a chase lounge, where Yuli was stretched out, awaiting Kalin's company.
She wore a wrap around her neck made of jewels that sparkled. She was clearly not entirely covered up, but those who wished to sneak a peak at her bodily secrets were blinded by the light from the dazzling jewels. She was a seducing tempress. She knew it, and so did Kalin.
"I expected you sooner, but I always find ways to entertain myself...."
As she said that, her servant blushed, and he left the room.
Anakin - March 31, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
Kalin watched with intriguing eyes how the Vigo sat down on the Chase Lounge. It looked very inviting. He felt really welcome here. He grinned and spoke to her with a very sneaky voice.
“It is a pleasure to see you again, Yuli…I see you haven’t lost your touch while being on that savage planet Ryloth.”
Kalin knew he was gambling with his words here. He knew that she both hated and loved her homeplanet for several reasons, so he had to be careful with his words.
He stepped further to the Chase Lounge, but kept looking into her eyes. He didn’t lose contact with them. She kept on smiling while he approached her.
“Do we have time for some fun or do you want to get straight to business? I like to combine both as business itself can be very boring sometimes…”
He knew she would play cat and mouse with him, so the only way to keep her interested in him was to keep her entertained.
“I know your faith must not be very solid in me yet, m’lady…but once you heard me out, I am sure that will change. I have so many things to tell you…so many options to give you."
Kalin stopped just a few steps away from her, waiting for to respond. But he kept looking at her eyes and kept on smiling with a sneaky look.
Padmé - March 31, 2007 06:45 PM (GMT)
She looked away from him for a moment.
"It is understandable that you see Ryloth as the place of scum in the universe, and you are right...... But that place is necessary in order to keep balance. And afterall, Ryloth created..... Me."
She hisses a smile at him and lay backwards.
"You know you are very lucky.... No one has ever been into this room before...... Apart from myself and a few selected servants...... Also...... You are lucky that you were able to catch my attention in a way that did not result in your head falling off........ My faith may not be..... solid.... But that does not mean I do not hold some respect...... However..... I do know, that there is more about you that you will not tell me...... And what I must decide is...... Is it important that I know...... Or not...... Kalin Skywalker...."
Anakin - March 31, 2007 11:56 PM (GMT)
Kalin laughed
"Hehe, so you discovered my real name...well as a woman in your position I guess you understand why I keep my name a secret if you are working in a organisation as mine...Security is is very important."
Suddenly his holo-device on his wrist started to beep. A message was coming through so he quickly turned around. The image of a stormtrooper appeared.
"THE GIRL HAS JUST RETURNED FROM TATOOINE. ALL SOURCES SAY SHE VISITED A JUNKSHOP AND LANDED IN THE DUNE SEA FOR A SHORT WHILE, JUST OUT OF MOS EISLEY, CONTACT THEN WAS LOST SIR, APOLOGISES. SHE HAS NOW BEEN SIGHTED LEAVING THE SENATE BUILDING. ASKING FOR INFORMATION ON THE SENATOR OF NABOO. WE SUSPECT HER NEXT DESTINATION IS THE RESIDENCE OF THE SENATOR"
Kalin just nodded, cause he didn't want Yuli to suspect something. The image of the stormtrooper dissapeared and Kalin turned back to the Vigo.
Yuli leaned over trying to see what he was looking over. Then she says: "What was that all about...Do you have girlfriend stashed away somewhere?"
Kalin gave an innocent smile.
No...That was just some information we received of one of our clients. There's a girl we need to track down. We presume she's also a Jedi, which is exactly why I'm here as you know.....I need that list...."
He paused and lowered himself to her level. He was very close to her lips trying to intimidate her. Speaking with a soft calm voice.
"It is very important to me...to us. And you will find out, that as a small organisation, we are very powerful. We have strong connections...and I will show you one of them...I wanted to show you on Ryloth, but there wasn't enough time."
Kalin showed Vader's seal. He could have shown her the seal right on Ryloth without making such an act around everything, but that didn't seem challenging enough, like everything was a game to him.
"Yes, I give my services to Darth Vader himself. He wants all the Jedi dead...and he's a very convincing man. I help him...he helps me. And that is exactly how I will help you to take Prince Xizor's place...Even the Prince is no match for Darth Vader!"
Padmé - April 1, 2007 07:00 PM (GMT)
"Darth Vader...... You are just full of surprises aren't you..... Perhaps I underestimated you...... Although I have to say, that doesn't happen alot with me...... You say you can solve all my problems with Prince Xizor..... Presently he is pretty accepting of me..... He allows me to do as I wish...... Life is..... Comfortable...... So why would..... dare I say it.... An Imperial Official as yourself? Want to help me with Black Sun...... The Empire tolerates our presence but certainly does not intend to aid us unless it somehow benefits them....... Yes, the list of names is a prize...... But is it enough for the Empire to offer such a generous offer...... So I ask myself.... Where's the catch?......"
Anakin - April 1, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
"An Imperial Officer? Me?"
Kalin laughed about the idea.
"You got all wrong, m'lady! I don't work for the Empire, I work for Darth Vader and nobody else. He asked for my services, not the Empire. My organisation can't get involved with Imperial affairs...It's too dangerous and Vader knows this. Luckily he is a VERY generous man, and he respects my wishes so that our partnership is purely between us with no other Imperial intanglements."
"Everybody knows Vader wants the Jedi dead, but there is more involved, more that I like to share with you if we can come to an agreement. I could tell you that I know thanks to some connections, that Prince Xizor has many weaknesses."
When Yuli heard what Kalin said about Xizor she suddenly raised an eyebrow. Kalin knew that she was very suspicious.
"I can understand that you would doubt this information, but I assure you...I'm not lying. It's simple...You have some valuable information for me...and I have some valuable information for you. The only question is....are you ready to share yours, so I can share mine..."
Padmé - April 2, 2007 11:40 AM (GMT)
She looks into his eyes.
"Alright....."
She takes a necklage that she wears, one that was lost in the jewels she wore. She carefully took it off and over her lekku.
"Everything you need is in this..... There is more here than it seems"
She placed it in his hands.
"So now what do you have for me?"
Anakin - April 2, 2007 12:43 PM (GMT)
Kalin didn't trust this. This necklace could be valuable or worth nothing at all!
"What's this suppose to be...I am to trust you with this item and just give you the information I know...and when I step out I get killed?! No that isn't very assuring..."
"I think I'll need more than this...How do I know I can trust you?!"
"No...I think we will need to do it my way....you are coming with me...THEN I will give you what you want...and we leave alone...no bodyguards, no servants, no nothing...........just us...."
Padmé - April 4, 2007 11:56 AM (GMT)
"This, is our ticket to Prince Xizor's presence, if that is what you wish for, otherwise it is a way into his palace..... It helps me go to and fro without being noticed......"
She lay back down and stretched her arms out.
"Such a shame you don't trust me..... And here I was thinking that we were becoming friends...."
She took the necklace from his hand, and playfully smiled. As always she was teasing.
Anakin - April 5, 2007 04:35 PM (GMT)
"Friends?"
He paused...."We'll see about that!"
"Anyway, you don't seem to be a person who is quite in a hurry about this whole matter."
Kalin looked a bit frustrated at her, she didn't seemed to be eager to get that list for him. Was she not interested to overthrow Prine Xizor?
"I will come back later! I have other business to attend to...I have no time for just sitting here, doing nothing!!!"
Kalin turned around and left the room without saying anything.
He whispered to himself "We will meet again..."
He knew that the Vigo was enjoying all this, she was toying with him, but he was running out of patience. He took a last glimp of her residence and then immediatly headed to westport.
RandomStarWarsFan - November 4, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
Flying into the atmosphere of Coruscant, Caedrit began to feel himself a bit uneasy. He never enjoyed visiting a sprawling planetwide cityscape, such as Coruscant. It made him feel, well, like a fish out of water.
Their approach brought them near the Old District of Coruscant, where Corvin Bail set down his ship.
The duo strolled through the streets of the Old District before finally reaching the headquarters of one, Yuli Vlasta. It didn't look like much, Caed thought to himself, but that was probably by design. Bail spoke with the guards who allowed them both entrance to the building. Caed was unprepared for what awaited him within.
The vast wealth and scenery on display was more than enough to drop Caedrit's jaw. He quickly recovered his composure, admiring the residence in all its beauty. He felt a bit more at ease in this "natural" setting, rather than on the cold emotionless duracrete jungle of Coruscant. Caedrit waited patiently for Yuli's arrival.
This could take a while. I'm sure she's used to making people wait. Especially some insignificant grub from the back of beyond Caed thought to himself.
Caed turned and glanced at Corvin as if to say 'What now?'
Ayanna Nyx - November 4, 2007 01:03 AM (GMT)
Corvin said nothing, but began to lead him to the large guarded doors of Yuli Vlasta's residence. He showed some identification before they were both allowed to enter, though Corvin stopped just at the entrance,
"This is as far as I go.... I have other business on Coruscant to take care of before I go back to Tatooine..... Tell her I sent you..... Our business is done now....." He spoke as he turned and left the way they had come in.
As Caed waited for a few moments, a Twi'lek male servant led him through into a large audience room, where Yuli Vlasta as ever, was stretched out on a chase lounge, being entertained by her servants and eating fruits from a large bowl. The red twi'lek vigo then noticed the guest and stood to her feet.
"Well well..... Now here's a face I have not seen before...... Or perhaps have I and yet you were so insignificant I quickly forgot...." She laughed at her own joke as she began to walk slowly towards Caed, "And so..... Who are you?..... And what are you doing here?......"
RandomStarWarsFan - November 4, 2007 02:04 AM (GMT)
"Oh you wouldn't forget a face like mine..." Caed joked as a smile crept across his face.
"And I certainly wouldn't have forgotten you," Caed said, intentionally eyeing Vlasta's figure. He assumed one of such power was used to having her ego stroked. He'd play along.
"I am Caedrit Mariusque ad Mare, madam." Caed said, enunciating the elongation of his name. He'd taken up an embellishment of Caedrit Mariu a long time ago, for situations requiring something sounding more aloof, regal or just plain snooty.
"I'm the best pilot this side of the galaxy who's...well...currently out of work. Ya see...my last employer, a certain sithspawn by the name of Ta'varik the Bloated, maybe you've heard of him, sabotaged my last gunrunning expedition to Tatooine and left me with only a few scars as a souvenir of my encounter with an Imperial picket ship."
Caedrit wondered if his semi-bluff would work on someone who was probably accustomed to sniffing out a fibber. He would tread lightly, but hold firm to his argument.
"Now, I know what you're thinking, any smuggler worth his spice could outrun an Imperial picket ship or outsmart a customs inspector, especially on some backwater rock like Tatooine. But, I tell ya, the sabacc cards just didn't fall my way and a smuggler is only as good as his tools. It was a wonder I kept that piece of bantha poodoo ship of mine running as long as I did. It was twice as old as I am!"
Caed hoped his rambling wasn't irritating the Vigo, but rather supplying her with some whimsical story that might somehow convince her to help him in his plight.
"Now, what I'm offering you, is my service. Piloting, mechanics. I can do it all. I'm simply asking for an honest wage in a dishonest business," and with that, Caed let out his brightest, most innocent looking smile awaiting Vlasta's reply.
Ayanna Nyx - November 4, 2007 08:27 PM (GMT)
The vigo stared to him for a moment, and then to her nails as she prepped herself a little, "Well, that all sounds..... Very interesting....." She turned and began to walk away from him, she waved her hand a little for her musicians to stop playing and leave, "Well..... Let's suppose I believe all your boasting....... Let's suppose I do...." She said as she turned to look at him again, "Well, you would still have to prove yourself wouldn't you...... If you claim to be as good a pilot...... Mechanic as you said..... Then I perhaps have a little job for you......"
She sat herself back down as her male assistant Seti gave her a datapad.
"I am in need of someone to..... Smuggle..... Some important weapons to Yavin IV..... To the Rebel Base that is situated there.... But, you will have to go under the name of Mordh Incorporated..... You have to remember that name..... Nothing else about it matters..... It's a company we control..... The Alliance would never willingly deal with Black Sun, but they think Mordh Inc. sympathizes with them...." She laughed a little, "It was the only way to gain their trust..... And their credits..... They would never trust us.... But at the end of the day, we're not here to make friends are we.... We will deal with anyone if they have the credits and keep to their word..... But..... Would you be up to a challenge such as this I wonder......" She said looking to him with a hint of a smile.
RandomStarWarsFan - November 5, 2007 03:02 AM (GMT)
Gunrunning, great. Good to have a change of pace Caedrit thought to himself sarcastically.
"Up to the challenge? You make it sound like running guns to evil terrorists attempting to overthrow our glorious Empire is something I don't do on a routine basis," Caed said, barely stifling a somewhat insecure laugh.
He knew the seriousness of the events. If there were a growing rebellion, somewhere out there, then Yavin IV was remote enough to serve as a base of operations. Caed had never even heard of it. If they needed blasters, then they were bound to make an assault, somewhere. This information was valuable, indeed. However, Caed needed to focus on completing a successful run, earning some credits and paying off his debt. It was bad enough to have loan sharks and the Empire after you. If he screwed this up, he could wind up with the Black Sun and the Rebels after him as well.
"Mordh Incorporated, got it," Caedrit replied, nodding his head.
"One more thing, ma'am. I'm short one light freighter. Don't suppose you've got a few lying around huh?" Caed said grinning.
Caed hoped his sardonic and cocky attitude wasn't so much a way of turning people away from him, but rather a display of confidence that showed, despite what people may think of him, he was a man of ability and a man of his word.
Ayanna Nyx - November 6, 2007 06:11 PM (GMT)
"I may have....." She said with a sneaky smile, "Well, according to your boasting you are more than qualified for this mission...... Very well then...... Head yourself over to the other side of the Old District..... There you will come across a warehouse..... Under the Mordh Incorporated logo of course...... Appearance is everything as they say...... Take this...... They'll know what it's for...." She said as she signaled to her servant, Seti.
As she did, the man walked to one end of the room, taking out a card and handing it to Caed, before returning to Ms Vlasta's side.
"They will stock up your ship with the supplies in question..... Then you get yourself over to Yavin IV...... You'll be required to wear a uniform....." She laughed, "If the credits count up right, and the job goes smoothly..... Then we'll see if we can make your position here...... Permanent...... Now..... Speak to one of my guards as you leave..... They'll set you up with whatever ship or freighter you wish..... If you do a good enough job I just might let you keep it....... Might......" She said as she sat back comfortably into her seat.
RandomStarWarsFan - November 7, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
Caedrit took the card from Seti and glanced it over. Satisfied, he pocketed it and turned his attention to Vlasta.
"You won't be disappointed," he said, smiling assuredly. And with that, he turned away and made his exit from Vlasta's residence, carefully retracing his steps until he emerged back into the streets of the Old District. A quick purview of an information kiosk directed him toward the warehouse district and Mordh Incorporated's building.
He quickly stepped into the building and after a few inquiries was directed toward a rather portly, hirsute near-human in a gray Mordh Incorporated jumpsuit chomping on a half-chewed and half-smoked cigar. He approached the man, cleared his throat and introduced himself.
"Caedrit, freighter pilot, here to deliver some goods," he said nodding politely to the man as he handed over the card Yuli had issued him. The man took the card without saying a word, intently chewing the end of his cigar as a curl of smoke wistfully floated over his face and onward toward the ceiling of the warehouse.
"Alright great," the man finally spoke. "Finally getting this stuff out of here." He paced over to a desk, grabbed a datapad from its surface and began punching away on it with his stylus.
"Alright you're going to the Yavin system, flight information ought to already be in your navicomputer when you get on your ship," the portly man said.
"Ah yes, about the ship. Ms. Vlasta said," Caed said, getting cut off abruptly as the man pushed the datapad to his chest.
"Sign this," he said, stalking off to the desk once more.
Caed signed the appropriate lines with his name, and had barely finished signing his last name when the datapad was snatched out of his hands and replaced with a large gray flightsuit, bearing the name "Mordh Incorporated" in dull unflattering type across its back.
"Ah yes, the uniform," Caed said. "About that ship..."
"Yeah, it's waiting on you," the near-human attendant replied. "Catch a ride with those guys," he said, pointing over his shoulder without looking as a repulsortruck pulled up an open bay door of the warehouse.
"They've got your cargo onboard, they'll load it, then fly yourself off to Yavin, got it?"
"I suppose," Caed said. Caed paced off to the truck, tucking the uniform under his arm.
"Oh yeah," the man called over his shoulder. "Try not to get blasted into space debris like the last guy." The portly man found this uproariously funny as he waddled away, leaving a trail of the foul-smelling cigar smoke in his wake.
The repulsortruck was driven by a wiry, despondent looking Duro with a very large, very repulsive Gamorrean by his side.
"How's it goin'?" Caed asked, climbing into the cab and squeezing next to the two.
The Gamorrean grunted and the Duro simply frowned as the truck pulled out of the warehouse and glided slowly toward Westport.
(OOC: For a ship, is it alright if I use a
Ghtroc 720. I'm fairly partial to them. In game terms, there a bit slower and more cumbersome than a YT-1300, but they have more cargo space. They're also just as reasily modified as the yt-series as well. Oh yeah, one other thing. Feel free to throw a wrench into any of my character's plans whenever you like. Like say, maybe a bounty's posted by the character of Ta'varik that I mentioned. I know you guys are all about individual freedom here, but having things go awry leads to a more fulfilling RP experience in my opinion, and trying to do it myself, while I'll do it often, just isn't nearly as exciting since it's easily anticipated. Just a thought.)
Ayanna Nyx - November 7, 2007 11:59 PM (GMT)
OOC: Bounty Hunters are Kalin and Lewy's territories. So I'll discuss it with them then we'll see if they can do something about it ok?
EDIT: Informed lewy of the situation, maybe it would be a good idea for you to pm him yourself about information of this bounty hunter etc So he knows better how to play out the character etc ok? :)
RandomStarWarsFan - November 11, 2007 04:12 AM (GMT)
Caedrit strolled his way through the streets of the Old District, smug and confident in his success. He found his first run under the "Mordh Incorporated" banner to be a rather easy one and the realization that the first run is always the easiest had yet to hit him.
Caed wandered aimlessly for a while, letting an appreciation grow within him for the concrete jungle of Coruscant. Its billions of inhabitants hustled and bustled back and forth in a form of delightfully choreographed chaos, or so Caedrit thought. Previously, the planet of Coruscant seemed a dump and a necessary evil for Caed, but his feelings were lifted into euphoria with the prospect of future success, a new ship and a steady payroll just over the horizon.
Caed eventually found himself near the residence of Yulia Vlasta, where his adventures had so recently begun. He walked up to the entrance, noting the guards in attendance, hoping they would remember him. They did not.
"Ahem..." Caed coughed. "I'm here on business...to see Madam Vlasta..."
The guards seemed unfazed. Caed wondered if they forgot to teach him the secret handshake. He grinned, laughing internally at the silly thought of a universal Black Sun handshake being performed at countless encounters across the universe. He'd wait patiently until they informed their superior of the situation...
(OOC: Talked to lewy, might have something underway fairly soon.)
Ayanna Nyx - November 13, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
He waited for a time until he was finally granted permission to go in and speak with Ms Vlasta. As always she was busy endulging herself in the finest that was around her. She quickly stood up as she sad Caed walk into the room,
"Ah! There you are.... So.... What news do you have for me....." She said with a sneaky smile.
Ayanna Nyx - August 26, 2008 01:39 PM (GMT)
When Ayanna finally saw the light of day, she found herself in a rather strange setting, but one that seemed to be an improvement. She saw the waterfalls inside the room and the plants that were lining it, something that made her feel more energetic, but where was she? She looked to the guards who began to run back to their places after releasing her. She tapped her foot as she looked at them,
"What's going on here?!" She said in a demanding voice.
From behind her she heard the deep, soothing snicker of a woman, one enough to make her turn around to see the beautiful red Twi'lek standing before her, dressed in gold plates. Ayanna knew enough that this must be Yuuli Vlasta.
"Ms Vlasta, don't think me to be a rude guest but usually I like to receive an invitation before I'm taken anywhere." Ayanna said seriously.
Vlasta merely smiled, "Oh I'm so sorry, I'll make a note of it, Miss Nyx."
"It seems you have me at a disadvantage, you know me, but I am only briefly familiar with your dealings, mainly because of your reputation." Ayanna said carefully, still unsure about why she had been brought here.
"Oh I know quite a bit about you, and your Master. It's Kalin Thalis isn't it. Well, it's not he I wanted to speak with but to you."
Ayanna gave a little laugh, "Me?.... Well sorry but you really should've gone to Kalin."
"No no, believe me I am not mistaken in my choice, I never am. Let me speak for a moment, you are wondering why you are here and I'm happy to inform you. You know that I work for Prince Xizor, of course you do, everyone does but they pretend not to. Well he has a request of me, one that is rather tricky I must say, but I think through you it is achievable." She smiled.
"Oh? Well I don't know what I can do that Kalin cannot, as you said, he is my Master. That says it all really."
"No hear me out, hear me out." Vlasta insisted, "You see, Prince Xizor has, well, a certain dislike of Darth Vader, something he likes to keep very close to his chest."
"Mmm I don't think I like where this is going." Ayanna said as she stepped forward.
Vlasta only smiled, "For many years it has been the desire of Prince Xizor to rid this galaxy of Vader. Now your Master is in fact apprentice to the Dark Lord. Loyal, is he?" She grinned.
"To a point. Just tell me what you're getting at and why you dragged me all the way here."
"Simple, I want you to, well, I really should say Prince Xizor wants you to eliminate Darth Vader." She smiled.
"It's impossible. You really think, firstly, that I would do that? And second, that I could?"
"I think that it's possible, you are the least likely to do such a deed."
"The least likely meaning that I never could, besides, we're Sith, Vader suspects everyone, it's in our nature to be mistrusting of anyone." Ayanna insisted.
"That's what makes you perfect though, Vader would never believe you capable. And also think on this, your master, Kalin, will become the Emperor's new apprentice." She grinned as she tried to convince her.
Ayanna said nothing but paused for a moment, "There's no guarantee of that."
"I wouldn't doubt it, besides, this is not a request, we're telling you that this is your mission." Vlasta said more angered.
Ayanna merely laughed, "I'm sorry but you are not in the place to be making orders. The Emperor and Lord Vader only put up with you and your likes because you stay out of their way. When I deliver this news to Vader himself, Black Sun will be a thing of the past, crushed, destroyed."
Vlasta laughed at what Ayanna said.
"You doubt that it's possible?" Ayanna grinned, stepping forward again.
"I don't doubt it, but you wouldn't dare. You fail to understand that we too have links with the Empire, of course we do. And I get the impression that they are more likely to believe us after out years of dealings and profits, than you and your silly ideas. Besides, if you do that, we will systematically go one by one destroying everything you hold dear." She said threatening.
Ayanna bit her tongue, "You assume that there are things I do hold dear...."
"Well then in that case, you have nothing to fear..." Vlasta grinned sinisterly, knowing all too well that Ayanna was bluffing.
Ayanna couldn't bring herself to say anything more.
"If you do this for us, your master will be in Vader's shoes, we will also extinguish another problem of yours, that of a pest brother that you have on your case, is that right?"
Ayanna looked up, astonished how much Yuuli Vlasta did seem to know about her.
"Of course with Kalin Thalis at the right hand of the Emperor, you will therefore be in the position that Thalis is in now. A great prospect for you and your master. Though I know Thalis is devoted to his master, so you are to keep this to yourself. We will know if you lie to us. Just remember what I told you, remember everything that is at stake, though you claim nothing is. And also remember everything there is to gain." She smiled, "Take this." She said as she threw a comlink at Ayanna as she caught it.
"Keep that on you, we will be in touch. You don't have to rush, we understand the difficulty of your mission. You will need to be alone with Vader, and in a position that he is more trusting of you. That you can stab him in the back, and leave no evidence that it was you, or more importantly that we were involved."
Ayanna thought this all to be insane, complete madness. She did not know the reasons as to why Prince Xizor had such a vendetta against Lord Vader, but it had now become her problem, and she did not know what to do about it. Ayanna said nothing but merely stared back at Yuuli Vlasta.
"Good, now, my guards will escort you from here. We'll be in touch darling!" She grinned as she waved as though innocent.
Ayanna turned and walked with heavy footsteps out of the building.
Seti, the assistant and servant of Vlasta approached her, "Do you really think this is a good idea, mistress?"
"Of course it is, Prince Xizor has been dying to kill Vader for years, just he's never found the opportunity, now I have found one for him."
"But he does not know of it, what if she will betray us, it is us who will fall, not Xizor."
"Hush, that's not going to happen. She's scared, she'll do it. And if Vader kills her first, well, there's no lead back to us. They will merely think she's a little betrayer. And if she succeeds, yet is found out? Doesn't matter. She will be killed before they would ask more about it. But Vader will still be out of the picture. And then Xizor, seeing my devotion to him, will deny me nothing!" She looked to Seti with a proud expression, though he did not return the same look to her, "It's going to work, mark my words." She grinned.
Outside the lair of Vlasta, Ayanna tried to retrace her way back to the Thranta which still seemed a long way off, but that was not what concerned her, but the situation she had found herself in. What was she to do? She could not tell Kalin, she could not tell anyone. Holding her hand to her forehead, she nearly had to stop tears from falling from her eyes. She was plagued with questions and fear, but there was nothing to do now but get back to the Thranta and collect her thoughts. Decide on what path she was going to take, as now for her, every option held death and danger.....
Ayanna Nyx - August 29, 2008 12:22 AM (GMT)
Ayanna and Kalin were already on their way to Yuli Vlasta's lair. Ayanna felt a thrill inside her at the 'training' she had had from Darth Vader, it was an experience she would never forget, and also the bruises she would have would certainly last a few days. Though she felt troubled about what made her excel more than she used to in the Dark Side, was she that deeply bothered about what had happened on Naboo? She was beginning to realize that indeed she was. She felt nervous to talk to Kalin about it, in case he sensed it in her and became upset with her. Perhaps he already was upset, she could not tell as they were remaining so slient, especially because of the comlink she was carrying. And of course, Yuli Vlasta would know they they were on their way.
Kalin Thalis - August 29, 2008 11:46 AM (GMT)
During their walk to Yuli Vlasta's residence, Kalin kept his distance so the comlink wouldn't pick up that Ayanna was together with Kalin on their way to the vicious Vigo. No she had to think she was coming alone for 'council' or other reasons. They kept communication through the Force, but not much was said. Kalin had the impression more happened during the training she had with his master. But that could be discussed later. Now there were other prioritees, such as this one. Sorting out the deal Ayanna had with Yuli Vlasta and that is what he was almost completely sure about. This assassination mission was not authorized by Prince Xizor, so she was not fulfilling her master's orders. Maybe she thought Prince Xizor would be impressed with her if she did manage to succeed in this assassination. Both were closing in on the fortress. Standing in front of it, it was the moment of truth. Now Ayanna had to go in herself, but Kalin would follow her closely until they would face Yuli herself inside her residence.
Ayanna Nyx - August 29, 2008 01:04 PM (GMT)
Ayanna was nervous at the thoughts of going in alone, but she trusted Kalin's judgment. She was met at the entrance by two of the guards who then proceeded to lead her through to Yuli Vlasta's throne room. She found it so typical that the Vigo would refer to it as such. Vlasta raised her eyebrows as Ayanna entered the chamber. She did not like the way that the red twi'lek eyed her up, she felt like a child being scoured over by a superior.
"Well well, fancy seeing you here. I guess you are here to show me the head of Darth Vader? From what I hear you two had a little fight...." She grinned, "Or is this merely a casual visit?"
Ayanna said nothing for a moment, but then stepped forward, wondering where Kalin was, "No, I haven't killed Darth Vader yet. And I don't intend to." She said seriously.
"I see. Need I remind you of the price you will pay for disobeying Black Sun? Your beloved Master will be hunted down and killed, but not before you that is." She sneered.
"You really think you could do that? You clearly are stupid Yuli, if you send any bounty hunters after them, they will return to you in pieces." Ayanna grinned, though she was nervous at where Kalin was at this point.
"Don't be so naive to think that a Dark Jedi is out of the reach of Black Sun. After all, look how easily I was able to tangle you in my web."
"I'm not Kalin." She smiled.
"Doesn't matter, he is just as easy a target. Or perhaps I will have to change tactics and involve him in this business."
"Ha! I'd love to see you try." Ayanna said laughing at the Vigo's last sentence.
Vlasta seemed to enrage at how the 'little' Dark Jedi treated her, "You dare mock with me?!! You have no idea the pain you will suffer due to your treachery!"
"My treachery? I'm not the one trying to get on the enemies list of the Empire 'sweetheart'." Ayanna smiled, she had gained some extra confidence that she had not had before, feeling less worried about back talking than she used to.
Vlasta swung her arm, "Arrest her!! Take her to the dungeons."
Kalin Thalis - August 29, 2008 01:14 PM (GMT)
"Not so fast!" Kalin said as he entered the Throne room by surprise. Outside Yuli and Ayanna could see how he had slain her guards who tried to stop him from entering.
"You say she dissobeyed Black Sun. Not true... She dissobeyed you! I met Prince Xizor in person and know for a fact he does not want Vader dead. I know he tries to remove Vader from the grace of our Emperor, but not just by a murder plot. That would be too easy and could lead back to Black Sun itself, just as it did now..."
Kalin stopped talking and stepped closer to Yuli.
"I had an audience with your master and now he suspects you from dealing in spices behind his back. He even suspects you might want to take over Black Sun from him. I just have to bring him the 'evidence'. Even if there is no evidence, I'll create it. Something we Sith are handy in... And that will be your downfall, Yuli... IF you don't stop acting like a whore trying to intimidate my apprentice, which doesn't even work any longer.... So it's your choice, Yuli..."
Ayanna Nyx - August 29, 2008 02:00 PM (GMT)
Ayanna breathed a secret sigh of relief that Kalin had finally shown up, she felt a great weight being lifted from her shoulders. Vlasta on the other hand only sneered at the two of them,
"You think Xizor does not want him dead? You're a fool, alright I will admit that he did not have a hand in it, but it is one of his most passionate desires. But he is too patient for my liking, I saw an opportunity and I took it. And this supposid spice dealings that I'm involved in?" She said walking back to her seat a little as she placed one foot up on the step, while her right hand glided softly over the arm of the chair, "A bit of a pathetic frame up for one of a rank such as yours, don't you think?"
Ayanna watched to Yuli's finger tips as they circled around the apparent engravings of her throne, she became instantly suspicious, seeing that the tablet they were standing on was large and more importantly, connected to the foot of the throne.
"But you're right Master Thalis, I do have a choice...." Yuli smiled.
Ayanna gasped, seeing instantly what Vlasta was going to do as her fingers had stopped on one of the markings of her throne. She did not hesitate, though it was to her own master, she conjured as strong a Force Push as possible, sending Kalin fleeing off of the tablet in time for Vlasta to trigger the trap as the floor disappeared below Ayanna's feet. She fell in the region of 20ft before she crashed onto the side of the lair that was below Vlasta's throne room. She rolled a couple of times on the rocky bed, having heard an unmistakable snap from her forearm. She clasped her other arm to it, before picking herself up and looking around her. She looked back up to the light that was shining down from above before her head was flicked back to the darkness of the lair as she heard a horrific growl.
With her working arm she pulled to her lightsaber and ignited it, eliminating the entire area, and also the beast that was there with her. Standing like a large tank of beastly brutality was a Kell dragon. Growling and snapping already as it saw it's new feast. Ayanna kept her lightsaber facing forward, unsure how she was going to handle this beast with a broken arm, but she had to try.
Vlasta sneered, looking to where Ayanna had fallen, annoyed that Kalin had been pushed back from the fall. But then she laughed with semi-satisfaction,
"Ha! You can't save her. Doing that you will only doom yourself. I will close the trap door behind you if you jump in after her." She laughed again, "At least I can get some compensation as well as entertainment for her treachery!"
Kalin Thalis - August 29, 2008 02:34 PM (GMT)
Kalin grinned though the situation seemed desperate he was not going to make Vlasta believe she now had the upper hand. Maybe she did, but Kalin was confident enough that he would ultimately be victorious. Before jumping in the dungeon where the Kell dragon kept growling at Ayanna he shared her some final words.
"What is pathetic here is your ignorance of my power..." He said to intimidate her. Maybe he was bluffing, but once he jumped inside the dungeon he did prove that large beasts as a Kell Dragon was easily defeated. He landed right on top of the beast plunging his lightsaber in its head. With one final growl its feet shook and the beast fell to the ground dead. Yuli had closed the trap, but that wasn't going to stop them from leaving this place.
It was pitch dark, but Kalin could feel the environment around him and used the heavy rocks, sending them sky high through the Force to break through the floor mechanism that trapped them. The rocks were heavy to push, but Kalin in the end succeeded to break through the floor mechanism. Finally both could see the light coming from what Yuli Vlasta called her Throne room. To her surprise both Kalin and Ayanna jumped out in a wink of an eye. As they stood back before her, they now had the upper hand, with both their lightsabers ignited.
Kalin pointed his to Vlasta's neck.
"This is only a demonstration of my power. If you want more. Then you will feel the edge of my blade."
Kalin knew what he was doing. Showing what he was capable of doing. Demonstrating what he was capable of, but he was bluffing to intimidate her.
"You ignorant fool. Maybe Prince Xizor wants Vader dead, but he knows that there's more involved in just getting rid of him. Only a weak-minded fool as yourself would think of the easiest solution to just get rid of the problem. But it's more complicated than that. Obviously too complicated for you to understand."
Kalin knew that he was very harsh, but he thought she deserved it and it was necessary to intimidate her enough so she would let go of Ayanna.
Ayanna Nyx - August 29, 2008 03:16 PM (GMT)
Yuli groaned, still sneering at him, "This is the way business works, you see an opportunity and you go for it. You think Xizor will punish me? No my pompous one, he will praise my efforts, but perhaps scorn the defeat of it." She glanced to Ayanna who was holding onto her arm. She realized that if she pressed matters further, Kalin would become harsher, and she did not want her own head to be added to this mess, "I have finished my dealings with you, young lady. I hope for your sake that our paths do not cross again. And as for you 'master' Kalin, be warned that I am not one to forget insults easily.... Nor forgive them..." She felt defeated, and it was clear that she was.
Ayanna with her working arm, took the comlink from her pocket and threw it at Yuli Vlasta's feet as it sparked alight as it broke apart. She then glanced to Kalin wondering what he would now do, but for her, she just wanted to leave. She did not have the pressure of the comlink anymore, though her arm would need mending.
Kalin Thalis - August 29, 2008 03:31 PM (GMT)
Kalin didn't like the fact Vlasta was threatening Ayanna and he wasn't being himself. Instead of controlling the Dark Side, The Dark Side took control of him. Stretching out his arm he unleashed a huge amount of Force Lightning on her.
"Don't you dare threaten her, you Twi'lek slut!" He raged out.
The lightning would have killed her if he used it on her just a split second longer. By the lightning she was forced to lay on the ground. smoke raise from her body when she tried to get up. Burning marks that would certainly show for a long time and hopefully for a person in her position not permanent.
"We're done here Ayanna. As for you, Yuli. You are the one who should pray we don't cross paths again or my mercy will know no limits."
This was not how Kalin normally acted. Sure he showed similar actions once they confronted Alluria and her Padawan, but that was just a fake act. This wasn't, this was the Dark Side taking possession over him, so he didn't have his actions under control. He didn't realize, but if this continued he would become a slave just like his master, Darth Vader.
Ayanna Nyx - August 29, 2008 03:36 PM (GMT)
As they began to leave the lair of Yuli Vlasta, Ayanna couldn't help but be a little astonished at how Kalin had acted out. She wondered if he would hear anything about this or maybe even be punished for it later. But for now she was glad it was over. When they left the fortress behind, walking through the streets of Coruscant once again, she finally spoke up.
"I want to thank you for what you did... You didn't have to help me, but you did." She said, still clinging to her broken arm slightly, which was already pretty swollen, "I just hope you don't end up getting back feedback about this all from Vader..."
Kalin Thalis - August 29, 2008 03:43 PM (GMT)
Kalin felt a little lightheaded. He held his hand against his head trying to pick up what Ayanna just said to him.
"What did you say? Oh... oh it was nothing. You're my apprentice, Ayanna. This is how you learn and I will always be there for you as long as I have your honesty and your loyalty. As for Vader. Don't worry. If Black Sun is smart enough they won't tell anything about this, otherwise they would trace this occasion back to the murder plot Yuli created to impress her master."
Kalin sighed as he knew their worries weren't over,
"We may have released ourselves from Black Sun's grip, but that doesn't solve all our problems. Vader thinks we are now on our way to pursuit your brother Li, which I lied about to give you an excuse to stay in Vader's castle. So now we have to explain ourselves to Vader how we didn't manage to find Li as he was never on Coruscant in the first place..."
Ayanna Nyx - August 29, 2008 03:50 PM (GMT)
Ayanna looked down, "We could say we did. I have this broken arm that will need explaining. We can say there was a struggle but that he escaped. I'll back you up, I don't think he's going to assume we broke my arm on purpose now do you?"
She said as a proposition, "Say that we were able to disarm him, but he deflected, and with that I was injured by falling scrap metal. You were caught up in it too, and in the confusion he got away. It's not much but it's something." She smiled, "Kalin, I know you've had concerns about me, but I want you to know that I would never do anything against you. I could never do that, I am loyal to you before I am loyal to anything else, including Vader."
Kalin Thalis - August 29, 2008 03:56 PM (GMT)
Kalin sighed once more. Sure Ayanna's excuse for Li's 'escape' sounded believable, but Vader would still consider it to be failure and he already failed a few times to capture Li. If he was to lie that he failed to kill Li, he would be pushing his luck.
"No Ayanna. Your idea is good, but he'll still think that we failed and that's where the problem lies. How many times including now have we failed to grab Li. I think we should at least make another attempt to locate him and capture him. Otherwise we could get into deep trouble. If I'm lucky I would just be expelled from the order. However that is not a fate I would desire, cause they would still hunt me."
Ayanna Nyx - August 29, 2008 04:12 PM (GMT)
Ayanna thought for a moment, "Well, you have been told off a number of times, but I have not. What if.... What if we say that it was my fault he got away.... That because of recklessness, I got in your way, preventing you from stopping him. He cannot blame you for that. he can blame you if it was in your power, but if it wasn't. What can he do about it? He has failed before, no doubt under far worse circumstances. I'm willing to take the wrap for this. To stop you getting in trouble on my account. I don't think Vader will expel me from the Academy, he'll just give me a swift warning I think, that I can take. He already thought I improved a great deal today, perhaps we can say that I disobeyed you, was overconfident. Then he will link it up to the training session he and I already had." She said looking to him, "I don't want to hunt down Li yet, to be honest, my opinions on him are shaking. I'm afraid what I might do, so I would rather avoid it altogether."
Kalin Thalis - August 29, 2008 04:24 PM (GMT)
Kalin couldn't stop sighing. He really felt desperate. He knew that what happened in Yuli Vlasta's residence was not normal and he was afraid that such an outburst would happen again under wrong circumstances. Now the Dark Side controlled him, but it was still in his advantage. Who was to say that next time he would fall under the Dark Side, he would still have these advantages. But his other concern was Li.
"Ayanna, I understand your reluctance to pursuit Li. But you know he wants you dead. He is waiting for you to be ready. Know that he is only your brother in name. When was he truly a brother to you. I think that I have been a larger brother figure for you than Li! He's dangerous. I don't care if the Empire wants him dead, but I'm concerned because he wants to destroy you. Don't you see that however it will go, one of you will ultimately die. And I surely don't want that person to be you..."
