Title: Time Changer

I was wondering if this RPG was going to be something that I like to call a time changer. A time changer is where events are slightly altered or drastically altered into a new story. So, are we going to have a story that will have to remain true to the definitive points, or can we play around with Star Wars history and have certain events either not happen, happen in a different way, etc.?

I'm not sure, the rpg won't go through major events such as in the film cause we don't want to interfere with the story so that this rpg stays kinda canon. Events will be shown on the holonet and as the game evolves other players can put their news on the holonet too. I think I've already seen some good members who are able to play multiple characters, if they want too. I cannot reveal yet who, cause we're not there yet. But when we are, they'll surely hear from us.

Yeah as Anakin said, we have chosen this timeline because it is not inside the movies we know, but it is still a vast area for imagination. So no, I would not be aiming for there to be a progression to the Original Star Wars movies timeline, because then the creativity would be more limited

Okies, since it's slightly on topic as well...
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed| QUOTE |
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed The Star Wars saga will continue in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, which casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny. |
....Yup. That would overlap the RP's time ^^;

Well until the game is released we don't have to worry so much about it. Besides we're not going to be changing anything drastically. Besides, The Force Unleashed is only taking place between a brief moment of time, it's not taking place over a span of years. We even saw a few days ago that it's highly likely that Princess Leia will be involved, so she must be of political influence to be in it, and in our RPG she's only just gained that.
So for the moment, there's no worries ;)

Not worried at all... Just sharing what i came across during browsing sessions, 's all ;)
Oh btw, this may be a good while, but does time pass in this RP? I mean, are there seasons like spring and summer, or is it 'timelocked'?
Wanted to know, in case this RP runs for a few years and we'd eventually end up at 0 ABY... But having seasons would be cool. Plus, our characters could have birthday parties ^_^.

I think we could have seasons passing, but we can't permit to come to the events of "A New Hope"...we do not want to interfere with that story. So in a way time passes, but on the other hand the timeline remains the same. This RPG is 3 years BBY, and probably it will stay that way...Could change but not yet.

Well, a suggestion of what you could do is at certain moments in the story, time will pass by a year or whatever. That way, we could let thing progress time wise while still keeping to the things that absolutely happen.
