Ayanna walked slowly up the stairs to the Jedi Temple. The vastness of this planet was suffocating her. Her skin was white and cold, as was her heart. She stopped half way up the stairs as she saw a number of Jedi begin to decend the steps. This was not the time, and more importantly not the place to begin looking. In a moment she had vanished into the shadows of Coruscant and lurked, seeking where to stop next.

Ayanna was having Deja Vu, she had been in the same spot only days before, but now she stood with a Jedi Knight..... Although a rough one to be sure.

She knew the answers that she was looking for lay within, she had to learn about the night that the Troopers invaded the Temple...... About what happened to Skywalker that night...... Did he perish? Did he flee? She had to find out..... And there had to be someone who knew.

Ayanna looked at Kreio and saw he was troubled.

"It has been a long time since you were here...... I can see you are haunted...... But is it just the memory of a dead age, or is it something else?"

"It's just that this building holds so many memories, I never thought I'd see it again...... Now, this is what remains...... It just feels like a stab through the heart....... This building was such a monument for us..... And now, it is destroyed......... A shadow of it's former self......"

Kreio looks up to the highest tower. How the Council Chamber was now just gone, like it was never there to begin with......

"I don't have time for your old tales..... Where do we go..... This is the last place you are likely to find any Jedi Knights....... Let alone the Chosen One...... if he was meant to be so special, then I doubt he would be camped outside waiting for his friends to come back...."

She turned to look at the old Jedi

"You are the last of a dead Order.... But surely you still remember something....."

Kreio didn't like her attitude but for now he had to play along.

"I know a secret room where they keep back ups of the most important information of the Archives..... If this room is still intact and has not been corrupted, we should get some valuable information there....."

Kreio looked around and spotted some stormtroopers. He recognised them, although they were changed from the Clone armour he was used to.

"Quickly, this way.... We should avoid the Imperial Forces.... Doesn't matter how strong you are young one..... They will always come back in higher numbers....."

She followed him into the Jedi Temple. The air there was very old, it seemed that it had remained empty for a long time. Along the giant pathways, lay skeletons of fallen Jedi. Ayanna found them almost beautiful, not for a nasty reason, she just couldn't put her finger on it.

She continued after Kreio ever more, into the dark temple of the Jedi Ghosts.......

"I.... I feel as though I know this place, like I've seen it before..... But I couldn't have..... I never left my home before a few weeks ago....."

Kreio looked intreged at Ayanna. As though he knew what was going on.

"Maybe it's your connection with the Force... The Force can show you things your strongly connected to..... Your friends, your family..... Your future, your past..... Maybe these aren't your memories at all.... But An'ya Kuro's.... Your grandmother.... Although she was not present very often in the temple itself, she was a real outsider...... Never the less, she too had a strong connection with this building...... It is the only thing a Jedi should possess in her opinion..... This temple where we honor the Force..... An'ya Kuro was very strict in her possessions, she even saw her name as a possession...... That is why she called herself The Dark Woman..... But I guess you already knew that...."

"Yes I knew this..... But then why did she give my mother a name? And give her also her surname if she did not believe in possessions...... And also, why create her at all? Do not the Jedi believe in no attachment? Well I know for certain that An'ya was to my mother, as she was to me...... She cared for my mother greatly, and took care of her....... However, when my mother was still very young.... An'ya was murdered...... All my mother could do was watch......."

Ayanna became very silent

"I too lost my mother when I was still very young..... Although not the same as she experienced...... She just..... Died....."

"I guess in her solitude after the Jedi Purge she could need some company and comfort. Besides, in a way she wasn't really a Jedi anymore..... The Jedi Order was destroyed.... I guess when that happened some principals got destroyed too.... In my opinion it was always a bit strange that a Jedi can't have attachments..... We always need attachments..... After all, aren't we all connected..... "Attached" to the Force?..... Didn't we attach ourselves to our fellow Jedi?..... If there was no attachment at all there would have been no Jedi Order to begin with...... I guess she finally learned that....."

Kreio left a tear thinking back of the glorious days he had as a Jedi...... Thinking back of his old friends who are now long since dead.....

"I wish I had known her....."

Ayanna thought back to something Kreio had said when they first met

"Why did you think I was a Jedi when we first encountered eachother? To be sure, I had the weapon of a Jedi, but you must've known I had no training.... My mother was no Jedi either..... And my father..... He was a simple man, but he had a way about him....... Healways knew what was going to happen...... I wonder if he even knew he was going to die that day......"

She suddenly stopped in her words.

"Why does this Temple remain empty..... Did the Emperor not find a decent use for it?"

"The Force flows through you and with some training you could become a Jedi like your grandmother..... I think it would also be what she wanted, so I hope you will consider yourself to be trained.... Maybe when you see the light you will not be thirsty for revenge anymore..... That isn't the Jedi way.... Why the Emperor doesn't use the Temple? I don't know..... Somehow I have the impression he left the Temple intact to remind people of what he is capable of......"

She said nothing

"So how long until we reach our destination? You know this place alot more than I do...... I still have a duty..... And I want it done with as soon as possible....."

She didn't like being told she was so powerful that she could be a Jedi, there was something about the idea of it which scared her, but she wasn't sure why.

Kreio stopped for a second and thought of where the hidden location was where they kept this valid information. It has been such a while that he has been here so he had to re-think where the destination was.

"Follow me through that corridor. There should be a turbo-lift there. Let's hope it's still active."

Kreio sensed much fear in Ayanna and he had an idea why. She seemed to hate the one called Anakin Skywalker, but she also feared him...so it seemed. One of the reasons maybe that she was walking this dark path. The dark side of the Force attracts the fearful.

Fear is what motivated Ayanna in her mission for revenge. But Kreio had to think of a way to bring her of the dark path she was walking and FAST! Otherwise there would be no turning back.

They turned the corner, which suddenly opened up into a colossal room. Large cases of broken, old glass lined the room. The floor was littered with dust pelets and chunks from old statues which were either smashed on the ground or cracked. Tables lay in the centre of the cases, all with broken computer screens. It was clear a battle had occured here, long ago, in the last days of the Jedi Knights. When their light was put out from the galaxy. Ayanna could not help but be impressed by the remains of this seemingly ancient alliance of individuals she would never know.

She looked to Kreio beside her, was he once part of this? This culture? She could hardly contemplate it.

"This..... This was a library..... My god, it's devastated...... Why? What's the purpose of destroying it? It was just a hull of information......"

"As the legend tells, although I don't know if it's completely true, Darth Vader invaded the temple on his own....... And destroyed the Jedi who were here....... Every piece of the temple to show his power and his contempt was greater than ours...... Somehow I find that hard to believe...... As you can see, there are blaster markings on the floor. As well as lightsaber scars, so the fact that he destroyed the temple on his own, is just a lie to make the people fear what controls this galaxy."

They both went to the upper level of the library. There a computer was attached to the wall, it's screen was broken, but it still flickered with light. There was still power.

Kreio inserted a code into the computer and suddenly a wall opened next to the machine. The tablet of the wall shook as it raised, and dust fell from the sides, it had not been opened for more than a decade.

Both walked into the chamber that lay there. There was no light. Kreio asked to borrow Ayanna's lightsaber, to use as a light source.

She handed it over with caution and grudgingly.

The chamber revealed another computer which was still intact, though heavily dusted.

"This computer holds the most valuable information of the library. You should find what you need here."

Ayanna, without hesitation typed in only one name....

Anakin Skywalker.


In the moment she did so, a vast scroll of his achievements and history appeared, along with the most precious thing she could've recieved, an image of Skywalker himself.

"He was a heroic warrior in the Clone Wars..... And served most of his part in the Outer Rim Sieges......... Obi-Wan Kenobi.......... Qui-Gon Jinn........ Tatooine......... Ah, character traits!"

Ayanna sat in closer as she read.

"Entry, Obi-Wan Kenobi...... This was written more than 16 years ago.......

'This Clone War has brought the entire foundation of the Jedi Code to it's knees. Lack of 'Jedi Soldiers' means that Anakin will now be promoted to Jedi Knight. His efforts in the war have been enough to promote him. I am proud of this, but he still has so much to learn. Then again, we all do. My concerns lie with his personal attachments. He seems to thrive in war, and is excelled by the glory that it gives him. He is young so I hope it is merely a biological effect rather than mental, but I am worried that his training has been ended far too soon......'

One of the last logs here about Skywalker says he was promoted to be a member of the Jedi Council...... Through the advice of Emperor Palpatine himself...... Why would he encourage such a thing? It was he who destroyed them was it not?"

Kreio looked at the screen and saw once again how Ayanna was so intrigued by The Chosen One. It still puzzled him why. As many, Anakin was the victim of the Jedi Purge, and unfortunately couldn't forfil the prophecy. Many Jedi were skeptical about the prophecy, but he believed in the wisdom of the Jedi Council. They believed the prophecy was true, and that was enough for him.

"Why are you still looking for Anakin Skywalker? Your grandmother was probably murdered by Darth Vader..... Anakin could never do such a thing..... He might not have been the perfect pupil, but he was loyal and he had humanity. Something you can't say about Darth Vader!"

She ignored his words.

"Hey, stand there a moment. Be still."

Suddenly a blue light shone onto Kreio's face. Ayanna selected to do a profile scan. The page flickered through all of the different profiles with the faces of many Jedi appearning and then disappearing, such as they did in life.

Finally the screen stopped on one profile. Included with an old picture.

"Bardan Jusik" She said, she looked to him with a hint of a smile on her face.

Kreio looked at the screen, his mouth agape. The name sounded so familiar to him. It brought back memories, especially from The Clone Wars. How he was against the creation of the Clone Army. How he had to leave his principals behind and become a Commander in this war which was just an evil plot to destroy the Jedi. An excuse for Palpatine to become Emperor. Kreio remembered how he had to flee from the Battle of Zhar. Then he tried to reach Ryloth, getting past Geonosis.

On Ryloth he disguised himself and tried to find shelter but as soon as the Empire took over the planet he had to flee again. Luckily the stormtroopers didn't come near the Spider Caves due to it's reputation. There he slowly forgot who he was, in the golden days of the Jedi Knights. There people began to assume that he was Anakin Skywalker, because of his physical likeness.

"It's..... true..... I am Bardan Jusik..... Jedi Knight, but I wanted to become a Mandalorian...... Because I didn't see the same light anymore as the Jedi did. But now things are different..... I have to pick up my duties again....."



Meanwhile, Kalin arrived at the giant entrance of the Jedi temple. He walked in and already he sensed the presence of 2 individuals, strong in the Force. The girl is here. And he pressumed it was the so called madman who accompanied her. He tried to follow his instinct to find them. Which brought him to the ruins of the Jedi Archives. He could sense they were very near, but they were nowhere to be seen.

"You weren't bad looking back then!" She laughed a little.

"Anyway, I have everything I need to know now....... Skywalker's face is printed in my mind. Tatooine. Perhaps the best thing is to start from his beginnings. If he survived the Jedi Purge, perhaps he returned there to seek refuge in his homeworld."

They slowly began to leave the chamber, it was clear that Kreio was effected by this news of his true identity which had been lost for so long. Ayanna still prefered to call him Kreio though. As they left, out of the corner of her eye, she saw something. And without her realising, the lightsaber that Kreio had taken from her had moved back into her hand once she saw the dark figure in the corner of her mind's eye.

"At last we meet oh mysterious one. And you must be Anakin Skywalker" He said sarcastically.

"It is an HONOR to meet you, oh chosen one"

Bardan sensed alot of darkness in this one. There was something mysterious about him. He called Bardan "Anakin", but to look at the stranger, you would swear you saw a reflection of the past.

Kalin looked so much like Anakin, and he also sensed something else. Something very familiar. As though he was related with Anakin, which wouldn't be too hard to believe. Rumours were that Anakin had a child, although Bardan never believed that rumour, as he thought Anakin would be disciplined enough to make no attachments. His friendship with the late Senator of Naboo was widely overdramatised, so he thought.

"I must say, this is all very unexpected. What are you looking here for? I assume you're not here for a picnic?" He grinned.

But soon after his grin he looked firm, and ignited his lightsaber. But to Bardan's surprise, it was a blue colored one. Not red, like the Dark Jedi and Sith Lords.

Ayanna ignoted her lightsaber which shone purple beautifully. Although she tried to hide that she was unaware how she had done it.

"What's it to you 'friend'? You like stalking people? We were merely reminising. Is that banned too in this Empire?" She grinned back to him, keeping her distance.

She noticed his face, she could hardly believe it.

"Tell me your name!"

She snarled at him. Her eyes began to glow purple, and almost white with her rage. Her skin was now chalk white, with her veins appearing black. Completely difiguring the lady she had been moments before.

"That is of no importance...... I am the one who is asking questions here! And you will answer them...... Jedi....."

Kalin said the word "Jedi" as an insult to her. He recognised the hilt of her lightsaber.

"That isn't your lightsaber...... It's the Dark Woman's...... I recognise it from the Archives...... She's dead now..... Good riddance....." He grinned again.

Bardan watched as the two were holding their lightsabers tight in their hands. He felt much hate in Ayanna, and much anger in Kalin, who was still unknown to him. But he could swear he was related to Anakin.

"You're a Skywalker! I know it, I can feel it."

Kalin clenched his teeth by hearing the name. He didn't like to be called 'Skywalker' as the name was so widely known and connected with a great Jedi Knight.

"That name has no meaning for me....."

"If you are not a Skywalker, then you will live....... If you are, then I will kill you......... I am not a Jedi......... And you are right, this lightsaber was An'ya Kuro's, and I inheritted it....... I am sorry to say that I am a shame to her, because my hatred of that name, that cursed name 'Skywalker', is one that I have set out to remove from all existance in this galaxy. And not you, or that pathetic Emperor will stop me from doing so......."

"But I can be..... Fair....... I will answer you questions if you answer mine, and well, if you do not answer mine, then you will not hear anything from me........ So what do you say...... 'Anakin Skywalker'?"

She grinned, and dared not to look to Kreio.

"Anakin Skywalker? Ha! What a joke....... That man is long dead..... I may be a Skywalker, but I'm surely not connected with that piece of scum. That Jedi!"

Ayanna spoke, "Atleast we agree on that part.... If you were related to that menace, then I would've killed you..... But still, what do you want...... I have no vendetta with you...."

"If you're trying to wipe out the name 'Anakin Skywalker', you're in for a long journey, a very long journey! Cause like I said, he's dead.... And soon all the Jedi, including you two, with him."

"Anakin is not dead! And I am not a Jedi! And I never will be....... Skywalker killed my grandmother...... An'ya Kuro! I do not seek revenge because she was a Jedi, I seek revenge because of principal...... And if you keep calling me 'Jedi', I'm going to keep calling you 'Skywalker'!" Ayanna blared.

Bardan looked as the two were in conflict. Ayanna had bared her soul. While the mysterious figure, who claims that he is not connected to Anakin, was still hiding much. He did have a connection with Anakin, somehow. Even if he didn't know it. Bardan began to wonder whether these rumours of Anakin concieving a child were true, and that perhaps without his influence, his child fell down the wrong path......

"Jedi or not, I can't risk a person like you becoming one...... Although you deny you would never become a Jedi, you have one standing right next to you....... So you either are a fool or a liar!"

"Or clever! I needed to get into the archives to find out about Skywalker, that was the only condition with him staying with me...... Jedi.... Sith..... Gungan! It didn't matter, aslong as he had what I needed......."

Kalin grinned again.

"So you're a fool then..... You first thought this dirty womprat was Anakin? And now you're still hunting him...... This must be a joke"


She sighed.

"I told you, Skywalker murdered An'ya Kuro, this was after the Jedi Purge, that is all I know......"

Ayanna thought for a second.

"Wait...... If you are...... A Sith?..... Or a Dark Jedi...... Do you not still hunt the Jedi Knights?"

"Good guess! No naive one, it wasn't Anakin who killed your grandmother. It was Darth Vader...... He is responsible."

"Show me proof....." She hissed.

Bardan interfered and tried to command Ayanna to calm down. Kalin enjoyed how the Jedi was trying to make this furious creature see the light. He thought it to be impossible.

She lifted her hand and hit Kreio in frustration, her force seemed to be harder than she had anticipated as he flew against the wall with a crash.

"Show me proof....." She said again coldly.

"Open your eyes.... How many Jedi did Darth Vader kill during and after the Jedi Purge? He's responsible for the death of hundreds, who knows, thousands of Jedi. Why would your grandmother be an exception?"

"I only know what I was told by my mother, she saw her die, and over again, An'ya Kruo pleaded to 'Skywalker' to return to the light. My mother was unable to settle thescore, but I am....... If you can lead me on the right path, then I will go down it......."

She looked to Kreio.

"I'm sorry old man, this is the end of the line for our little adventure. Don't think I'm not grateful....." She said coldly

Bardan muttered

"Ayanna..... Don't do this...... You're better than this..... Like your grandmother..... You are a creature of light, not of darkness"

Bardan fainted but seemed lifeless.

"You won't confront Vader...... You will have to settle the score with me, after all, as you said it, I am a Skywalker..... Who knows, maybe I'm his brother!" He said sarcastically.

"I never said I would confront Vader did I? You didn't give me any proof, so I will stick to what I know, and what I can learn. As you also said, this journey of mine will be long, but it will be worth it."

"You really believe that? You're more naive than I thought..... Vader was right, Jedi deserve to die....." Kalin was finished with his words. And made his first move towards Ayanna.

She smiled, "I'm sure I'll see you again sometime, but I cannot face you now...."

Her skin became black and her eyes white, as she began to merge with the shadows. She fled as fast as she could, unsure where to go, and also of what to do......

Kalin looked around and went back to the lower level of the Library, hoping he could find Ayanna once again, but with no luck. Back upstairs he tried to atleast finish Bardan off, but found he was already gone.

He clenched his teeth again out of anger. Out of failure. But he knew this wasn't over yet....

Outside, on the large stairs of the Temple, Kalin slowely walked down. Thinking, Vader would not take this failure very well. Suddenly, he heard a sound from a pocket on his belt. A small holo-communicator device. It showed a vague image of the Dark Lord himself. Kalin immediately addressed to him;

"What is thy bidding my master?"

"I have just recieved word of your actions at the Temple Ruins, do not get spotted by Imperial Stormtroopers. Although you are my apprentice, no one can suspect that. So they ARE the enemy, and if any spot you, eliminate them without hesitation."

"Yes Master"

"I have a new mission for you...... I want you to search contact with Black Sun..... It's Vigo here on Coruscant should have a hidden base here. They can help you track down Jedi, they have been in contact with, as Jedi sometimes have to seek refuge with them, for a large price of course...... But do not trust Prince Xizor in any case, or his vigos. Use them, but don't be used yourself....... Try to manipulate the vigo...... So you can use her to your advantage......"

Then Vader's image disappeared. Kalin knew what he had to do, and that is travel to the underworld of Coruscant.

Ayanna panted as she stuck herself against the wall outside the great Temple, it had been a difficult escape for her. Especially considering she had no idea of the Temple layout. She could do nothing about Kreio, or that ridiculous Sith Lord, all she could do was continue her journey. She wondered, where to next?

"Tatooine" She said quietly. The birthplace of Anakin Skywalker.

She shook her head, the frustrated idea that this could be a wild bantha chase worried her. Travelling all the way to the Outer Rim, possibly for nothing, but she had to do something.

What could she find on Tatooine that would connect her with Anakin....... She sighed and left the temple site.
