History: Much about her early life remains unknown. When she was only 9 years old she was appointed as Queen of the Naboo, making her the youngest monach to ever reign. Her appointment was made suddenly due to the assassination of Queen Apailana, who was murdered by the Imperials for protecting surviving Jedi Knights. The fact Kylantha was already the Princess of Theed, it seemed a natural appointment for her to gain the title of Queen.
One of her first acts was to look into the mysterious death of the former Queen, as the Imperial explaination was that she was murdered by a group of Rebel Clones, and that the Imperials had infact come to save the Queen but arrived too late. The mystery of Apailana's death would never be solved, however Kylantha felt certain that it was due to the Imperial forces.
In 6 BBY, she appointed Pooja Naberrie to represent Naboo as Senator. Naberrie being the niece of the well loved and remembered Padmé Amidala, made her appointment an easy and obvious choice.
Unlike previous monarchs, Kylantha had exceeded her two terms of office, but showed little inclination to voluntarily stepping down. Fortunately for Kylantha, her personal popularity and support for the Imperial state meant there was little pressure for her to do so.
