At the edge of the Dune Sea, there is a farm. this once belonged to Rathoc Mantok, Resei's uncle. It is here Resei and his mother works every day, all alone.
It is also the place Resei wants to "escape" to get to the bounty hunters guild on Mandalore...

(it is currently early in the morning...)

Comes sneaking up at the back of the farm. "finally a farm thats not filled with workers" starts sneaking towards the nearest well.

*sneeks foreards and watch the purple twi'lek at the well. as standing there, she starts pouring water from the well in a bag.
stands cool leaned at a tree*
"well, well. whate have we here? a thief?
are you aware of how much that water costs in the city??"

Turns around to quikly for herself and spils most of the water. "S***! Um.. Hi :ph43r: eeeee :unsure: hello, thief me oh no I just.... What's your name" The Twil'ek looks hopefully up at the young human like creature (what race again?).

*grants the twi'lek one of his seldom smiles*
"do you know what we do with thiefes here? we hand them over to stormtroopers, who throws them in the great pit of karkoon
(the race is kiffar,btw)."
*suddenly catch a sight of two... green?? eyes. for a purple twi'lek that is quite unusual*
"but you never took anything, did you? so i guess you go free, besides the stormtroopers never care anyway... my name is resei mantok. and you?"
*smiles again at this strange female*

"Aren't you nice" smiles at this friendly soul. "I am sorry for stealing water from you but someone has stole all i have each night for some time now. Ah my name is Kleko Ney'twobie by the way" takes out her hand towards the boy. "But mostly my friends call me Twi."

"nice to meet you... Twi"
*smiles (again :blink: ) and stretches out a hand'
"lucky you caught me in a good mood. now, what are your occupations?"

"Well as you should know by now im after some water" takes a large gulp of the water and when she finally lover the bag its half empty. "Well right i were going to town so that i can find some information about bounty hunting. I have always wanted to become a bounty hunter" Smiles at Resei and blinks her green eyes.

"hmm.. That's strange... Well, I was heading to the city myself anyway. Care to join me? I just have... Something to take care of inside..."
*smiles sad and goes slowly towards the farm, not waiting for an answer. When coming out again 10 minutes later, tears can be seen in his eyes. Inside there is a goodbye-letter for his mom, that says he loves her and always will, and that one day he will return as a big and strong bounty hunter.*
"well, Twi, are you ready to go then? Just have some water if you like, and then we're of..."
*Turns awayand snivels, seeing the suns rise over the farm he loves for the last time in a long while*

Three Dewbacks (Always start Star Wars terms with capital letters) could be spotted in the distance from the moisture farm. When they came closer, it was clear these were Sand Troopers on patrol. They were securing the area and asking farmers about recent Tusken attacks on the farms. One of the Sand Troopers stepped off his Dewback and saw the purple Twi'Lek talking to the farmer.

The trooper said: "Is everything alright, sir? Are you having trouble with this girl?

The other Sand Troopers on their Dewbacks were keeping their right-hand close to their blasters. Tatooine was familiar with racism against outlanders. Twi'Leks were rarely spotted on this desert rock.

MEEEEEP DELTED!

"No, i'ts fine, she was helping me digging my well up again as it dried..."
*Smiles at the patrol, though his mind is chaos. why did he lie to the patrol? To protect the Twi'lek? because he did not like The Empire??
It had to be the first one, but why would he? He could not find answer to this, so he just smiled and nodded once again at the patrol, reliefed to see that they ignored their weapons.*
"it's the Tusken Raiders again, huh? Thought so. why can't they leave us peaceful, poor farmers alone?"
*saying this, his throath tightened and his eyes filled with tears in the thought of leaving his mother all alone, vulnerable to the Tuskens.*
"Are you sure you are alright?" the trooper said suspecious seing this.
"yes, it's just the heat. Good thing this Twi'lek helped me to get the water back!"
*he sighed of relief as the trooper nodded, and left, taking the patrol with him*
"That was close... well, shall we go? and by the way you can call me Reese"
*he smiled again at the twi'lek. he realised she had made him smile more in only about an hour than he had done the whole rest of the year, and this thought made him smile again*

"Phew that was close thank you for protecting me." Twi leaned forward and planted a small kiss at reseis cheecj. "But one thing. Do you have a speeder? I would LOVE riding one of those!" While saying this she jumps around sudenly verry happy for the new company her friend provided. Taking her bag firmly under her arm she walked over to the well and scooped up some water. "Better with too much than too little" taking Reseis hand waiting for the awnser.

The Sand Trooper walked over To Kleko, looking very suspicious.
"I'd like to know what you business is here, on Tatooine M'am."
The Sand Trooper spoke polite but he had a demanding voice. Twi'Leks mostly hanged around in Jabba's Palace as dancers or one of his slaves.

"How long have you been on Tatooine now?"

The other troopers stayed on their dewbacks and didn't move an musssel. It was like they were droids. They acted like droids too, very cold, with no character.

*Resei can feel his cheeks burn as the soft lips of Twi touches them. As the Trooper comes going up closer, the strangest sound can be heard. And before anyone can react, a sudden boom sends the Trooper on the ground. When the other Troopers realises what is happening, it is already too late. When they enter their positions, the bunch of Tuskens have already surrounded them. Another boom, and suddenly the farm is on fire. A woman screams in despair can be heard from inside, and the Troopers continue to be killed by the Tuskens.*
"MOM!!!" *Resei shouts, and runs foolishly towards the burning farm. He is stopped by the still strong hand of the Trooper.*
"No, kid, it is too late! You must escape and warn our superiors!"
*Resei can see the begging in the dying eyes, and understands that to save far more lives, including his own, he must run away. He nods silently, and in the same moment, the Troopers eyes fades, and the grip on Reseis feet loosens. Resei picks up the Troopers gun, and arises with pane in his face. He fires a couple of shots at the Tuskes, but the effort is worthless, and he throws it in the ground.*
"Come Twi, we must leave fast to warn others! I don't have a speeder, so we must run!!"
*looking upon the farm one last time, Resei turns, and runs together with Twi. The Troopers are all doomed, and know their last duty is to hold back the Tuskens long enough for the young couple to survive.
When the last one takes his final breath, the two are already in a safe distance. The woman’s screams stops, and for a moment everything is silent. Then the Tuskens steal the water, and leaves for the next farm.*

Resei eyed his old home with tears in his eyes.
All that remained of the main building was some black, burned clumps.
The well had gone dry again.
There was no traces of bodies- the Empire had cleaned up the evidence of their defeat.
Resei walked slowly towards the ruin when he suddenly spotted a small, burnt shape laying half-buried in the sand.
He felt tears wanting to be released, and he ran towards it.

It was clearly a humanoid.
Not easy to recognize, almost completely burnt, but you could actually see some of the Kiffar painting.
Resei touched his own.
It was his mother.
The Empire had not bothered burying a normal citizen and a farmer.
Resei hold around the body.
Some of it crumbled away at his light touch.
He then released his tears.
He cursed the Empire when he cried.
He cursed the Tuskens, and he cursed life.
He cried and cursed as he hold around his mother.
He had to bury her.
But not now, not yet...

The towering clouds of smoke that bellowed into the skies could be seen for miles around. It was enough to attrack Kalin and Ayanna to make a very small detour to check out what was happening.

As they neared the homested, they could clearly see the devastation, but at this time, they could not see anyone around.

"What the?....." Ayanna said, skewing her eyes as she tried to peer through the smoke, "Tusken Raiders?..." She asked Kalin, although she was doubtful that they could have caused such damage with the weaponry that they were always known to have in their posession.

"Most likely it were Tusken Raiders...I don't see why anybody else would attack such a farm..."

In the far distance Kalin saw somebody on his knees holding the a burned corpse in his arms.

"Hey!!! What the hell happened here!!!"

Kalin's tact was as good as always....

Resei abruptly looked up.
He saw the two strange newcomers.

"A Tusken raid... It's old, but still smoking. They had some kind of strange grenade...
A long story.
But who are you two?"

Resei was not happy to be interrupted, but hadmanners enough not to show it.

"Are you sure you don't need help buddy?" Kalin gazed at the body he was holding in his arms, burnt to the crisp, "You look a little frustrated.... If you're sad that you have to bury that corpse, I think I have a solution...." Kalin was still feeling drunk and his next action could have serious consequences.

He threw his lightsaber right through the skull of the body Resei held in his arms, the corpse started to crumble from the impact until from the heat of the blade, it completely turned to dust that fell to his feet.

"There.... She's cremated... You can thank me later...."

Ayanna sighed, "Pfff.... Real smoothe Kalin..." She mumbled to him.

"Hey... It's me!" He whispered back as he retrieved his lightsaber with the Force.

Resei sighed in amasement and fury.
"HEY YOU IDIOT! You could have asked me! Well, I don't know what you did, but perhaps it is for the best.."

He just gave up.
He dug a small hole, filling it with the ashes.
Then he put a big roch above it.

"And by the way that was my mother," he said coolly.

He stared with cold anger at the person.

"I thought Jedi were not supposed to be drunk," he said quiet, but loud enough for everybody to hear...

Ayanna placed her hands firmly on her hips, "I'm getting sick of this.... I'm going to get a tattoo saying 'I'm not a Jedi' on my forehead!" She said in a drunk manner, "This is embarassing!..... But don't mind Kalin..... You should be glad his aiming was good enough to strike her and not yourself! I thought you were done for..." She said sarcastically smiling at Kalin.


"Hey boy-o! First of all.... Look at my red lightsaber blade..... And second, if I was drunk.... As you claim.... Which I am not (hic)... I wouldn't be a Jedi would I?.... After all, they don't get drunk.... As you said.... He he he..."

Ayanna patted on Kalin's back, laughing a little, "No, of COURSE he's not drunk.... If he were then he would be flirting with those eopies over there by now..." She grinned.

Kalin laughed, "Don't you just hate these Mandalorians? I ran into one once... What was his name again?.. Ah!.... I think it was Bobo... Or Booboo or something like that.... Anyway! He was the rudest guy I ever met.... No manners at all! He had a face like a smacked butt!"

"Well, if I thought you were drunk before, I know for sure now.
I know nothing of lightsabers or Jedi...
And if you are a... eh... sith, then I do not see the very big difference..
If you are, say hello to Vader from me next time you see him...
And why do you mix Boba Fett into this?
And by the way I am a Kiffar, not a Mandelorian...

Resei(OOC:DAMNIT I WROTE REVAN AGAIN!!!!!) was surprised at his bravery.
He knew it was because he was angry, and if he lived to see tomorrow, then he would probably regret it.
He had atleast be clever enough to give his cover ID, Revan Ebony.

Ayanna stepped forward, "Woah! Wait a minute! We are NOT a couple! A couple of strangers.... Yes! A couple as in.....Ewww No!..... I'm Ayanna Nyx..... And I'm single! And no, that's not an offer!" She said, still a little drunk.

"Common Ayanna, cut him some slack! We practically ARE a couple! So what's the difference..... Anyway, back to you Revan.... I called you Mandalorian since you wear that stupid armour...... And if you see Booboo again.... Say that he still owes me alotta Credits! The name is Kalin..... Kalin Thalis....."

They climbed back onto their eopies,

"Well, we have some unfinished business to attend to.... And I guess you have some cleaning up to do around here..... Good luck with that!.... But if you stick around longer, you could buy me a drink some time..... And I'll teach you the difference between a Jedi and a Sith...."

"Awwww, I'm sure Kalin will bring a LOVELY bunch of flowers for you also on that... Em... date...." She grinned.

Kalin pulled a face at her, showing he didn't like the joke at all.

"I'd sooner date a Wookiee!" He replied furious at her.

"I can arrange that!..... Don't worry... He loves me really..." She said jokingly at Revan.

Revan shock his head, and murmured as the odd couple disappeared.
Now he had to check on his recruits!
And if Vader had spoken to Fett, he would be having a good kicking sometimes in near future...
But before he did anything, he pulled up a sharp rock.
Then he wrote something on the rock above the grave.
One simple word:

MOM

Resei and Taves returned to the old, burnt moisture farm.
"This is where I last saw them..."
His eyes did not move from that big rock for a second.
"Let's follow the tracks... That way." He pointed, not eager to continue, but not wanting to stay.

When they mooved, the sun shone at the rock in a way that revealed what was written.
One simple word:

MOM

Resei and Tharn (he had claimed it like a title when they had nothing else to say) arrived at his old moisture farm.
They were both tired, but at the horrible sight Tharn seemed to wake up a bit.

"WOW! What did this? Who did this?"

"This was a darned strong grenade threwn by a Tusken Raider. They came with unusual large numbers, slaying a squad of Sandtroopers...
And we are hunting them."

"You must be crazy! I thought it was just another starfighter you were after! We cannot take them all!"

"We won't. Just the leader."

"Well that's reassuring!"

Then they followed the faint tracks, walking from burnt farm to burnt farm. Only a few had been spared, and Resei's hatred grew stronger and stronger.
The warmth was unbearable, but they continued drivenly on, Resei by hatred, Tharn by a promise.
In the far distance the sun shone above a rock.
On it was one simple word:

MOM
