Title: Training in Force Abilities and Lightsabers
Anakin - January 8, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
Lightsaber training in the Sith Academy is a lot more strict and dangerous than in Jedi academies. They teach you how to fight hard, how to attack. One of the most famous forms they teach is Vaapad. Many pupils died during training, even when they trained with droids. More advanced pupils learn to wield double-bladed lightsabers or they learn how to use two lightsabers at the same time. A Sith is known how to use its attacks and the opponent's defence against himself.
Anakin - January 18, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
To become a Sith does not stand side by side with the training only in lightsaber skills. A Sith must have the most serious and clear mind. You have to use your fear...your anger...your hatred to destroy your enemy! These emotions will only make you stronger in the Force.
Here you will train to broaden your mind and embrace the Dark Side of the Force.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 12:18 AM (GMT)
Chris had watched and studied others for this. He learned things a little quickly. He started with Form I: Shii-Cho. In order to begin, one always had to start with the basics. He practiced for hours and hours, learning quickly on it's offensives and defensives.
His favorite stances were the Offensive Neutral and Defensive back. He seemed rather adept at learning this. His moves soon became elogent like he usually did. He seeme to almost be a master of form I, but such needed to be tested. And such a test would require an opponent more capable then a droid.
He stood at the dueling ring, waiting for a moment. "Who wishes to challenge me in Form I? Do any of you?" he questioned, his voice cold and soft, but still echoing out.
One person stepped out. He was a little older then Chris, but not by much. He also seemed to be much more about strength then speed. There was no official start. Both activated their lightsabers and went at eachother.
The duel was fierce. Chris seemed as cold and emotionless as ever, calmly blocking and dodging passively. His enemy in the mean time, was completely on the aggresive, his human face filled with fury. His power increased with his anger, but it also made him sloppy. Chris had anger, but he controlled it, manipulated it. And with it, he manipulated his opponent and wore him out quickly with the sweeps of power.
In an intant, Chris was suddenly in the offensive neutral stance and plunged forword, impaling his opponent. There was a moment of silence. Chris then mearly walked out of the room. Form I was mastered, now he had to work on his Force ability next.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 12:26 AM (GMT)
Chris arrived for some Force training. He thought this would be more difficult then using a Lightsaber. He could feel the Force, but had very little understanding of it. A weapon was easy when you knew how it worked, the Force was more of a mystery to him. All he knew of it was that it was a power that could help to improve combat, health and just general things. He would need a Master to help him with it.
Anakin - June 28, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
A dark Jedi who tried to teach in the Dark Arts was looking at chris and didn't seem to be able to figure out what he was trying to do.
"Hey, What are you trying to pull off, mate?!"
He was looking at Chris again.
"You're not concentrating hard enough...use your emotions! What are you trying to accomplish?!"
He then unleashed a small amount of Force Lightning on Chris which pinned him to the wall.
"That's how you do it" He grinned. "But it's gonna take a long time for you to do the same if you don't do what I tell you, understand!?!"
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 12:45 AM (GMT)
Chris felt the lightning pin him and burn slightly. He listened to these words carefully. [Is that it? Merely use the emotions and concentrate of them?[/i] Chris had to think for a moment. He had to concentrate on hatred. When he truly saw the being he hated, a wave of the Force rippled outward and struck at the Dark Jedi, pushing him back hard.
Anakin - June 28, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
He stood up..."That's good."
The Dark Jedi was furious though and held Chris up in the air choking him.
"But if you pull such a stunt again, I won't stop next time......"
He then unleashed him from his grip and dropped him on the ground.
"Continue......"
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 01:00 AM (GMT)
After the first little wave he had made, Chris began to work on his Force powers and began to get good at it. He was able to use the Force to jump higher, move faster, sense things around him, even see through the Force. He was also able to hear whispers of other studen'ts thoughts.
The new one learns quickly.
I shall have to watch this one.
I'll eliminate him when he becomes too powerful.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 02:26 AM (GMT)
Chris continued to learn. He learned how to control his breathing paterns, how to speak louder with the force, and even how to control beings with his mind. He then began learning how to Grip people with the force, how to send out bolts of lightning, how to make small illusions in the Force, how to cloak his form so that he appeared invisible, how to strengthen himself through Rage, how to increase beings fears, or even Scream out with a burst of energy to blast beings away.
He was getting very powerful with the basics, and even getting a little into the more powerful pieces of the Force. He was becoming a deadly advisary to other students. He could sense their hostilities, feel their aggressions towards him. He was becoming too powerful too quickly for them. He decided it was time to leave off to train himself physically again.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 03:28 AM (GMT)
Chris returned to the Lightsaber Training room. He decided he would keep in a certain order, and thus, started to practice Form II: Makashi. He found he was well suited to the Fencing Style of Makashi. It was a style made to be elogent and defensive, and thus his kind of style.
His movements were calm, strong and elogent. It seemed to be a very precise method of combat. He seemed to be a natural master of it, but, of course, such was to be seen.
He stepped back in the ring. People noticed instantly. He was becoming a rather strong Trainee, and people were starting to fear him, as they should. "Who will fight me in Makashi? Any?"
A young man stepped out. He seemed to be youthful, passionate, and fast. He held out his lightsaber and activated it, going at Chris quickly.
Chris blocked the first attack calmly. The style of Makashi was perfectly suited for him, and he kept a defensive. He blocked a long series of attacks, but his opponent did not seem to back down.
His opponent began to get frustraited in the battle. His rage began to be used, and made him far stronger. Chris defensive was becoming weaker and weaker with the continueing mash of attacks.
Chris, however, was not done that easily. He moved around his opponent with a Burst of Speed, and was suddenly behind him. He then proceded to lunge behind his opponent and struck him in the back. That was the end of that fight. Anotherweak student was taken out simply.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 03:40 AM (GMT)
Chris went back to training. Two forms mastered, but five more to go. He went into Training with Form III: Soresu. While he was good with an aggressive defense, Soresu was harder for him. It involved endurence, waiting and everything Chris usually did in battle. He found it mostly difficult because he was much more about fighting one on one with a person, and Soresu was made to fight a lot of people, mostly blaster fire deflection work.
He had to work on this form for a long time, but never quite got the hang of it. His test was witha bunch of droids, and he passed it but only barely. He decided that he had not mastered Soresu, but also that he only needed the basics of it anyway. He was only capable of it, for now.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 01:13 PM (GMT)
The next form was Form IV: Ataru. This form seemed a little too flashy for Chris, but he did not mind. It focused on attack, speed and power. It channelled the Force through his body, making him move better, faster, stronger and more intense. He seemed to be rather good at it.
He studied it for hours, poring into it as much energy as he could. This was one of the better aggressive forms. He seemed to be mastering it rather well, and decided it was time to test it.
He did his usual thing of going out into the ring, and asking for a challenger. One stepped out, a young boy, younger then Chris, who was very small, but his eyes seemed to fill with a deep intensity to them, and burned with Sorrow and Anger constantly.
When both Lightsabers activated, both proved to be nearly flawless in Ataru. Chris, however, found himself to be the lesser in this fight. The boys size seemed to help him greatly in the fight. He was not as strong as Chris, but was much faster and more flexible, an type of enemy Chris was not use to.
Chris had to become more aggresive, using his Rage to feed his power. He got faster, stronger, more powerful. He began to gain the upper hand, and took the chance before the negative effects came in. Chris struck hard against his opponent, and tore through his defense, cutting off the boy's arm. He did not, however, kill him, as the negative effects of Rage set in. It was not really mercy, more a lack of energy. Chris left the boy alive, for today. The boy was taken off to the medical center. Chris had mastered another form.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
Chris began to practice and study the next form. Form V: Shien and Djem So was an interesting one. It was an aggresive defensive form, similar to Soresu, but was made to be far more aggresive, and draw on emotions, and also fight better in combat.
Chris had to study this for a little longer then expected, as it was more like two forms then just one. He felt his emotions greatly effect how well he used the form. When he went emotionless, his skills in it were feeble, while when he concentraited his emotions into it, he became extremely powerful in it.
When he finally got used to it, he began to love it, and got a real thrill for using it. He stepped up for a duel, but his opponent felt too easy. He demanded another, and another. He was only satisfied after killing a fourth man. He had mastered it, and felt wonderful from it. The love of battle was becoming a part of him.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 01:25 PM (GMT)
The next form was rather hard for Chris. Form VI: Niman was by far the hardest one to work with. It demanded a portion of all the other forms strengths put together, but only in moderation. It did not completely take anything from the other forms.
Chris had to try and both tone himself down in power, speed, elogence, defense, aggression, and just about everything. He felt he had mastered it easily, but felt the form itself was weak in comparrison to all the others.
In his duel, he prooved himself right. He fought a rather moderate user, and the two fought viciously with Niman. The fight lasted hours, and both became tired. The fight ended in a draw, as niether one could win. It was the only one Chris had not successfully mastered, but Chris blamed that one on the Form itself being too weak.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 01:42 PM (GMT)
Chris decided this was enough for now. He would rest up a bit for Juyo. He decided to go back to his room for a moment of rest.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 02:18 PM (GMT)
Chris had arrived back in the Training arena. He was going to finally practice up on Form VII: Juyo and Vaapad. The form was essentially the speed and Acrobatics of Ataru, the Elegance of Makashi, and the fierce intensity of Shien and Djem So.
Chris found he enjoyed this form. It seemed to be the ending volume in a favorite book series. It was full of energy, churning the Dark Side into raw power, devistatingly precise and fast. It seemed to surpass all the other forms in everything. A perfect offensive form, and left little room for a use in defense.
The only real deference Chris saw between the two forms of Vaapad and Juyo, was that Juyo seemed more loose and free form style, and Vaapad seemed more procise and stable. But such were only his views.
He worked hard on this, using all the time he took on the others into it. He seemed to merely flow with energy, become supremely use to the power. It seemed to become a part of him. He learned the same type of love of battle was needed for it, and he easily did such.
Then came the time when he would finally need to use it on a person. He meditated for a while before stepping up, as he needed a moments regain of energy after training with the form.
When he stepped up, someone immediately stood out before he called. He was a large man, possibly in his early thirties, who wielded a rather long lightsaber. He stood much taller then Chris.
As the two met in combat, Chris was pushed back just by blocking the man's attack. Chris used the speed of Juyo, while the man used the crushing strength of Vaapad.
Chris had to duck, twist, block and bend his way around his opponents attacks. He could not get through quick enough to do significant damage. His range seemed too far to do anything. Chris then had a brillient solution. He called on the Force for a small illusion, making himself appear to go to the left, while he really went at the right. He then stabbed his opponent in the gut, and kept going upward. The man fell to the ground with a loud thump. Chris seemed to smile over the body, but the smile disappeared quickly, and he left the dueling arena.
This was the one. The form that he wanted to specialize in. He knew it now, and he was going to use it as his specialty form. He began to train harder in it, and his intense and passionate energy seemed to fill the room, all while his face stayed calm and emotionless.
He trained in it for a long time, but then decided to take a break from it and head back to the Force training room.
Christopher Enyar - June 28, 2007 02:28 PM (GMT)
Chris sat in Floating Meditation, floating three feet above the ground. His lightsaber was floating in front of himself. Around him was the illusion of a large snake creature. He was concentrating on keeping the illusion. He was trying to work more on powers that affected the mind rather then the body for the moment.
The image started to move more animatedly. It slithered around Chris, and seemed to his a little. The large snake almost seemed real, and even some of the younger students thought he had actually summoned a real beast into the room. Those were the type of student s who will be dieing quickly in the academy.
Christopher Enyar - June 29, 2007 08:13 AM (GMT)
Finally, he was alone in the Force Training Room. People had left for their own moment of rest, while Chris stayed. The illusion of the giant snake vanished. He was working hard on the Illusion technique, the Force flowing through him for a long time when he did.
He felt great relief when he let down the giant illusion. He decided he would go with something smaller, and more practical. He searched his memories for a moment for an image. He found a young version of himself, about 7-years old with long white hair wearing white robes.
He started to create the image. The boy appeared. The only way you could really tell it was Chris was that he had the same Red eyes with Cat-like slits. It was rather creepy to look at. Chris had dyed his hair a long time ago, as white did not seem to really be him. Now he had Black hair and wearing black robes, while staring at past version of himself with all white.
Chris made the illusion seem to breath. It made it seem so real and life like. Chris felt he had mastered this aspect of the Force. He would have to move on from it. The illusion then faded away as Chris thought of what he would work on next.
Anakin - June 29, 2007 08:25 AM (GMT)
An instructor aproached Chris
"Hey, student...we have a problem...we have two escaped Sith Hounds from the lab. supposidly they acted very violent and due to their genetic modifications they were able to break through their cages, they didn't got hurt by the energy bars. Anyway, some other student saw them at the entrance. Nobody seems to be willing to leave or enter. What we want you to do is kill them with any means necessary.
So hurry up and get to the entrance...Could be that they will escape to the valley...if so come back for further aid...It's too dangerous for a student like you to go alone in the valley..."
He walked away leaving Chris to his duty.
Christopher Enyar - June 29, 2007 08:37 AM (GMT)
Chris bowed. "Yes, sir," he said. He then left on his way to the entrence at the academy.
Anakin - June 30, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
As Kalin simply hated to wait, he tried to focus on something else for the time being. It had been a while that he had been in a fair exercise so he tried the lightsaber training room to find some distraction. He explored the students and saw some were very weak, some were stronger than he was in the beginning but every member he walked by, he surpassed by now, due to his experience.
He continued to walk through the room, looking for a good opponent, but inthe beginning he saw no challenge at all. Would someone have the nerve to challenge him? He doubted it.
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
Chris had realised that he did not need Force Training for the moment. When he had been fighting the Jedi, what he was lacking was physical skill. So, he had found his way to the Lightsaber Training room. And suddenly, one of the familiar presents was seen. The same sith who had gotten him into this academy in the first place.
Chris did not actually say anything for the moment. Why should he? Instead, he just ran through the different Lightsaber forms in sequence as a warmup before he would go up to challenge for a duel. He went in order, his forms all having a sense of Elogance about them.
Anakin - June 30, 2007 04:54 PM (GMT)
"Ah.... I see you made it here after all... Impressive.... Most impressive..... Anyway, how is your progress?"
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
Chris opened his Red, cat-like eyes and focussed on Kalin. "Fine," he said, his voice was his usual cold and emotionless. He had stopped warming up to speak to Kalin, and clicked off his lightsaber.
Anakin - June 30, 2007 05:09 PM (GMT)
"What's with the attitude kid?.... You should be more grateful I got you here.... And I could also get rid of you.... So if I don't see any signs of respect coming from you, you can kiss all this goodbye...." he said threatening.
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 05:15 PM (GMT)
"What attitude?" Chris said, actually oblivious, but his voice was still cold and empty of emotion. "This is my actual persona. The expression of emotion is a sign of weaknesses. This is how I act normally. However..." His voice suddenly changed, back to the more emotional annoying voice and persona that he used back when he first met Kalin. "Would you rather me go with my cousins personality type? Annoying, overemotional, talkitave, and generally fanboyish?" He then switched back. "Trust me, acting like myself is more a sign of respect."
Anakin - June 30, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
"Guess I will take your word for that.... Sorry, I can be very tempermental, if someone gives the slightest hint of disrespect....... Well I guess I'll take your personality above your cousin's.... If you claim that he's really like that, then I prefer yours..... However, you seem very tense..... You say it is a weakness to show emotion, but always you do.... That of arrogance.... Someone who showed no emotion would be neither pleasing nor offensive.... You seem to be the offensive type..... I also disagree that emotion is a weakness.... Depends on the emotion.... Sith rely on their passion for their strength, such as hatred for example..... Seems you still have much to learn..... No disrespect intended....."
Padmé - June 30, 2007 06:30 PM (GMT)
Ayanna walked cautiously through the hallways until she finally came across the Force Training area. She was very unsure about her place in the Academy and without Kalin at her side she felt almost naked without protection. She could see there were already pupils there ahead of her, training with their own instructors. She stood at the entrance, looking around, wondering what her next step should be.
One of the instructors spoke to his pupil, "Wait here..... I have some business to attend to....."
he then walked to her, and she stood alerted.
"Ms Nyx, I was informed about your arrival.... Please..." He showed her the way, and he took a seat.
She simply stood in front of him.
"First I'd like to know what Force Abilities you possess..... A demonstration perhaps....." He suggested.
She looked around her, "It is difficult here to make a demonstration.... You see, my most powerful ability is with plants..... I can manipulate them to do as I wish.... I can also regenerate them and destroy them....... Also, I've noticed that in battle, I am able to predict the movements of my opponents, however my skills with my weapons are not sufficient enough to use it to such a great advantage...."
"So what you are saying is that your skills with a lightsaber is not well developed?"
"Yes.... No one taught me.... I have had to learn the feel of it on my own...."
"Alright, I guess that is acceptable.... You can start your training immediately if you wish to....."
"Thank you..... Em.... Where should I go now?" She asked unsure.
"Well, we will take you to your quarters, there you can rest first, you seem a little exhausted....."
She bowed and followed him as he escorted her to the sleeping chambers.
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 06:34 PM (GMT)
"Emotions themselves have their strengths, showing ones emotions however is a weakness. All strengths must stay hidden, or else the flaws are shown. And yes, I have my own flaws, which you were able to see from me showing emotion. Through passion, I gain strength. Showing my strength shows my weakness. That is my own phylosophy on things."
Anakin - June 30, 2007 06:36 PM (GMT)
"You've got a point there, but I am not your enemy.... So showing emotion would not weaken you.... So why hide it?" Kalin inquired.
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 06:42 PM (GMT)
Chris allowed himself a laugh for a moment, and it sounded truly childish and innocent. "You are a Sith, correct?" he said, his voice still cold. "As a Sith, you are not trustworthy. The Sith are trained in deception and assassination, and made to be competitive with all other Sith. Thus, I have a reason to keep my weaknesses to myself. You are not an enemy today, but the future is always in motion."
Anakin - June 30, 2007 06:46 PM (GMT)
"How true...." Kalin grinned, "However, if we were to become enemies, I assure you, you wouldn't stand a chance...." He almost spoke in a threatening tone.
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
"There is a weakness to see quickly," said Chris. "Do you underestimate everyone like that? Such is a dangerous thing to do. Such as the Jedi I killed on a mission recently. He also underestimated my, right until I stabbed him in the heart, I think."
Anakin - June 30, 2007 07:00 PM (GMT)
"I know what you are capable of Chris.... And it is impressive... For a beginner that is.... You're almost as good as I was as a pupil... Almost.... But yeah, ask yourself.... Not to brag..... Why Darth Vader asked me to be his Apprentice?..... And I don't think it is because of my pretty face..." He grinned sarcastically.
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 07:14 PM (GMT)
"No idea nor caring," said Chris, honestly. "How often has he actually met you? Does he train you himself? Aside from a title, what other special treatment do you get if any? I mearly wish to know. You don't have to answer." he said, his voice to emotionless to see whether he did care or not. "But you are b eing a little underestimating, and make yourself stand out in the regard. Not a wise move. Those who stand out are targets. Any of the students here would kill you with the proper chance now. I am less caring about such matters. I do not need a rise in ranks, I do not need to stand out. I am perhaps smarter then them in such a way. Standing out makes you a target, and if one is a target, he must remain strong and keep a proper aggressive defense. It is why Darth Vader and the Emperor can survive so long in such hostilities, they are strong enough to be targets. Meanwhile, you and I and these pathetic students are not. We are not in a place of safety in our strengths. You might be powerful enough to fight a few Jedi at a time, but you might find it hard to become the target for a hundred assassins at once, like Vader can do." He then laughed. "It's why my cousin would never be suited for a Sithic life. Although, he'd enjoy the challenge. Die like a fool, but enjoy it none the less."
Anakin - June 30, 2007 07:22 PM (GMT)
Kalin laughed due to the huge speech he gave, "Your analysis is interesting but it only points out one thing.... I sense jealousy, though you deny it..... And another thing, you talk too much...." he laughed very sarcastically and walked away.
"If you don't care about your rank or position, I will make sure of it that you won't rise at all..... If that pleases you?...."
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 07:27 PM (GMT)
"Won't matter much," said Chris. "I came here to learn the Force, and the styles of Lightsaber combat. What I do afterwords if mine to know. I have more ambitious plans then these students.
"As for jealousy, I think it is unlikely. It is unlikely for me to be jealous of anyone at the moment. Nothing to be jealous of. And for talking too much, that is true. A side effect of being with my remaining family for too long."
Anakin - June 30, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
"And a weakness I must say... I could have sliced you down half way through your speech and you'd have still been talking...." He grinned, "You can deny all you want, you said yourself.... You want rise above all these other students, so you want respect..... And the only way to achieve that is by a higher position.... Let me show you something..."
He lured a pupil over to him,
"Tell me, what do you wish to accomplish here, student?"
"I want to become the best, My Lord...." The pupil answered.
"My Lord?.... Why do you call me that?" Kalin asked, but actually not seeming as surprised as he worded.
"...Em.... You are well known.... My Lord.... We all remember the day you had your audience with Darth Vader himself....."
Kalin nodded as the pupil spoke, "And... Honestly.... How did you feel when he was here then?"
"I have to admit... With every visit Vader makes, I feel afraid...." The pupil admitted.
"Afraid as in now?...." He pointed out as the pupil began to tremble ever so slightly.
The pupil shook his head, still shaking.
"Alright... You may leave now...... See my point?... They fear me..... That IS power..... But they don't fear you..... Not yet....."
Christopher Enyar - June 30, 2007 07:39 PM (GMT)
"One power," said Chris, emotionlessly. "Not all wish to be known, seen, heard. My vision of power is one who remains unseen, a puppeteer, never seeming important and thus remaining ignored. Respect is a type of power, and control is another type of power. There are many types of power. I am not interested in respect for the moment. But such tastes might change as I grow."
Anakin - June 30, 2007 07:44 PM (GMT)
"I was just giving an example, my boy.... If you think that is the only power I hold, then you are very much mistaken.... Being in my position I have indeed much enemies.... But also much freedom in what I can do..... Another power..... I could sum it up but that would take hours..... And yes, it's those connected that make a difference..... Which makes you a beginner and me.... Well... I wouldn't say a Master, but I am getting there... Anyway, I think it's time we parted ways..... I'll certainly be keeping an eye on your progress.... And I doubt this is the last we will meet..... However, I cannot predict what the circumstances will be next time...."
Kalin left for the Pupil Chambers, where he expected to find Ayanna.
