Invited guests often enjoy wonderful balls hosted by her highness Queen Breha and her husband Viceroy and Senator Bail Organa.


There is no ball planned at the moment

The Queen and Viceroy Organa have decided to throw a ball for their daughter Leia, who was recently pronounced the new Senator of Alderaan.

The ball is open for friends and strangers who wish to join the celebrations.

Security will be high considering the presence expected.





The night began to fill the sky as guests came from all around. Some had travelled far where others had not. But to the Organa's, their being there was enough.

The Organa family stood at the top of the grand ballroom, greeting to guests who came to congratulate the new Senator. Leia was now only just becoming 17 years of age, for sure one of the youngest Senators the planet had seen in many a year.

Bail Organa stood proudly, nodding to his guests as they passed.

Alucard and Resei arrived dressed in the fine Alderaanian clothes they had bought earlier that day. The nobles of the planet had gathered in large numbers to congratulate the Princess for her new position.

Blending in with the crowd, they walked toward the netrance. Alucard could see that security was tight. Since it was an open event, they would abviously wish to check people coming in more thouroughly, to make sure there were no assassins in the crowd.

Of course, Aluicious knew from experience that the nobles who typically meritted an invitation were often the ones you had to be more wary of. He was sure the guards were well aware of this, and were relishing the opportunity to check some of the less savory members of court more.

As they approached the security post, Alucard acted calm. He and Resei needed to appear as though they were just another pair of nobles. They had been sure to leave their weapons hidden in their ship, so that wouldn't be an issue. There was no reason for the guards to be suspicious, so there was no reason to worry.

Suddenly they both heard a voice.

"Men, what is your business on Alderaan and occupation?"

It was a senior guard who was asking random guests for details, he prepared to write down their answers.

Alucard looked at the guard and smiled, and began speaking in the fine court manner he had been brought up to speak in.

"Well, good evening, my good sir," he replied. "My name is Aluicious Tenen. My partner, Aidan, and I are antique dealers, here in Aldera on buisness to procure some of this beautiful cities fine antiquities for resale in our business.

"But when we heard about the festivities being held tonight in honor of her royal highness' new position in the Imperial Senate; well we just couldn't resist showing up here to extend our most heart-felt congratulations to the princess. Her parents must be so proud of their daughter.

"Were there any other inquiries you require of us before we are allowed to enter the ball? I must say, you men are doing a splendid job of security. One would think on a planet without weapons that security would be sub-par, but they would be sadly mistaken. I've no doubt that the royal family is in the most capable of hands."

Alucard stood there looking up at the guard, waiting to hear whether or not his answers had been sufficient.

The guard stared at them for a moment.

"M... Move along.... You may enter"

He bowed to them in respect

As they had entered, and got a little away from the guard, Resei wisphered in Alucards ear:

"Antiques... That's a good one!"

He almost laughed, but held his mask.

"Oki. from now on we are what you said we were. I'll go see if I can locate the discs one or another way, and perhaps even go see that princess, and wish her luck and everything. See ya!"

They seperated, and walked in different directions. Resei nodded to himself. Alucard had prooven useful. Now it was his turn. Sowtime!

Alucard worked his way through the crowd, falling into the old act of proper court dicipline easily. The manners he had been taught his entire life flowed in his words and actions as he greeted the various members of the ball, all the while working his way toward the center of the dance floor, where he could see Princess Leia and her mother, the Queen Breha standing.

Finally reaching them, he faced the princess and gave a deep bow.

"My sincerest congratulations on your obtaining the position of senator, your highness," he said. "The people of Alderaan are blessed to have one of your calibur representing us in the Imperial Senate."

Turning to his mother, he offered another bow.

"And you must be so proud," he said to Breha. "I know it is every parents dearest wish to see their children succeed.

"I must also comment on the fine security here tonight," he continued. "As I said to one of your guards outside, you and your family are in good hands. After all, one can not live in this world, without having those who wish to do them harm. In my experience it is often those who are closest too. Friends, family, fellow members of nobility, jealous of your most honorable position."

Indeed, concidering his own past, Alucard knew these things all too well.

"I'm sure you know of someone such as this in your court," Alucard continued. "Some degenerate, smiling with one face while always trying to undermine you and throw you down underneath their pleasant facade."

Princess Leia raised an eyebrow.

"Indeed....We must also be careful of those who try to cozy up to us for money, promotions or information..."

Breha looked to her.

"Leia!" She said under her breath. "Excuse my daughter, she may be a Senator now but for me, she is still a child in many ways. Thank you for your kind thoughts, we BOTH very much appreciate them"

Leia walked off into the crowd without saying anything.

Breha hesitated for a moment.

"So have you been here long? I haven't seen you here before? Are you in business with my husband?"

"No, I am not," Alucard spoke. "I am not, in fact, from Aldera at all. I am an anitque dealer, who just happened to be in the area searching for possible additions to my wares, when I heard about the festivites planned for tonight. And I oculd not resist making an appearance. After all it was indicated that the ball was open to everyone. I have to say that Aldera is a beautiful city. I was unable to find much prior to my preparations for this evening, but I have no doubt that I will be able to find some very fine items for my customers.

"Oh and I do hope I didn't upset your daughter too much," he continued. "I did not mean to be rude with my questions. I was merely expressing my relief that you are all so well protected. After all, I've had less than pleasant experiences with members of my own family, myself. I'm sure such things are a much more pressing matter for those in your position or your daughter's. She has every right to be suspicious, indeed far more right than I had to inquireI'm sure you have far more enemies than I ever did."

"She's like that with everyone Leia. I wonder if her biological parents were like that as well...... She's suspicious of everyone, always has been. And I think her father encourages it far too much. They are both always tied up in business and politics. As Queen, I am loyal to my duties but I am also loyal to my people"

She smiled embarassed.

"I'm sorry, I'm blabbering on so, you must enjoy the ball."

"Nonsense," Alucard repolied. "You're being a splendid host, and I am quite enjoying myself. I't's not everyday one has the chance to converse with a member of the royal family, let alone the queen herself. If anything I am being a horrible guest for making so many inquiries. After all it is such bad manners to pester a guest so for information.

"And I'm sure her father is only encouraging her suspicion out of concern. After all, politics is such an ugly business, and politicians are oft some of the most unpleasant creatures. Ever trying to subvert those around them, and claim the best interests of their people whilst caring not for anyones interests but their own. Indeed, it is rare to find people of such calibur as your husband and daughter among their ranks.

"It's is a dangerous world your daughter has entered," he continued. "Her hather is simply looking out for her the best he knows how, speaking from his own experiences. If I myself had been a bit more cautious, perhaps I might have avoided a good many hardships in the past. she is very fortunate to have a man like him looking after her."

"I agree" She smiled

"I must admitt, I'm not so fond of these events. I prefer family get togethers. Here..... It's always so vulnarable...."

"You really should meet with my husband, I'm sure you would both get along well"

"Why, that sounds like a splendid idea," he said. "After all, you husband has one of the finest reputations on Alderaan, indeed in the entire glaxy. I would be honored to meet him. Perhaps you could introduce us."

"Why of course, Bail...... Bail!" She called.

The Viceroy walked calmly over and kissed his wife's cheek.

"Bail, I would like you to meet...... Oh I'm sorry I forgot to ask your name, how silly of me....... He's an antique dealer..." She whispered the last part to Bail.

"A pleasure" Bail said, presenting his hand.

"And how silly of me not to offer it," Alucard said taking the proffered hand and shaking it with a firm grasp. "Aluicious Tenen. I must say it is a pleasure to meet with you. Your reputation precedes you.

"Your wife has been lovely company over the last few minutes," he continued. "Her majesty has been most pleasant conversation, especially to a small anitque dealer such as myself. I had heard stories about the courtesy of the royal family, and I am pleased to say they were not false ones.

"I'm afraid, in my lack of class, I may have upset your daughter, however," he said. "A rude guest, prying into matters I had no buisiness asking. I'm afraid my feeble attempts at making initial conversation we a bit presumptuous. I don't blame her for her suspicions. In the political world, they are more than warranted, and willl serve her well. There are many who would take advantage of one who was less vigilant in guarding herself."

He laughed

"That's Leia for you, don't worry, she even gets suspicious of me..... She doesn't mean any harm really. So an antique dealer? Sorry to say I have never met one before"

Breha stepped in.

"Perhaps you could use his assistance in re-decorating that horrid office of yours on Coruscant."

Bail signed.

"I apologise, any opportunity my wife gets, she has to comment on my office. But it is merely a place to work, nothing personal."

"Oh it's no trouble at all," Alucard said. "I would more than happy to assist you in adding a personal touch to your office. Honored in fact. I'm not much of a decorator, so I wouldn't be much help when it came to things such as plants or painting your walls or things of that nature, but I might be able to suggest a nice painting or statue or something of the sort that can brighten the place up.

"Of course," he added, "that would be completely up to you. I would never presume to overstep my bounds. After all, we only just met."

Bail looked for a moment

"Well alright, I'm returned to Coruscant in a few days. When I am back there, come to our apartment in the Palace District, we will speak there, then I will take you on a tour of my office."

He nodded

"If you excuse me, I need to greet the other guests. Breha?"

It was clear that Bail expected her to go with him.

"Yes of course, well it was lovely to meet you, please enjoy yourself, and I look forward to seeing what work you arte able to do on his office" She smiled and then proceeded after Bail.

Alucard waved at the royal couple as they left, and went wround the area in search of Resei. Finding him mingling around the various court officials or well to do citizens of Aldreaan, looking less comfortable than Alucard himself did, but still holding his own.

"Ah there you are Aidan," he said, using the name that he had given the guard at the gate. "If you'll excuse us my friends, I need to steal my companion."

Leading Resei away from the group he spoke to him.

"We have to pick up a few items for our customers tomorrow before leaving. We'll be going to Couruscant, where I'll be giving Bail Organa some advice on decorating his office, while you conduct our other business. We'll go over the particulars on route. For now, enjoy the rest of the festivities."

The ball is now over, the day is beginning to dawn and the Royal Family is retiring to their bedrooms.

They send their warm gratitude to everyone who was present. The Viceroy will be leaving for Coruscant in the morning and apologises that he was not present until the end of the ball.

Good Night

Alucard and Resei filed out through the doors of the balroom. The night of festivities over, they headed back into Aldera to buy some last minute supplies before the stores closed and then prepared to go on their way to Couruscant. It was alte, but they could sleep on the ship. Funds were running too low to risk finding rooms for the night.

An encoded message appeared for Alucard and Resei:


"ABORT! BY COMMAND OF THE MANDALORIAN TRAINING SUPERVISORS, YOU ARE NOW RELIEVED FROM THIS MISSION DUE TO EXCESS EXPENDATURE OF BOTH TIME AND MONEY...... YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO RETURN IMMEDIATELY TO MANDALORE AND REPORT TO YOUR SUPERVISORS"
