Title: Grand Reception Room
Padmé - January 11, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
All guest who wish to have an audience with Queen Breha or Bail Organa must announce themselves here. Access is restricted only to those with highly important matters.
Jin-ho - April 1, 2007 07:10 PM (GMT)
About an hour after leaving the University, Jin-ho arrived at the gates of the Royal Palace. Even though she figured she was a bit later than intended, the walk itself had worked wonders for her nerves, and it had given her the time she needed to calm down, and appear less on edge than she had before Captain Antilles.
Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward through the entranceway, eyes too fixed on the receptionist's desk to notice the beautiful surroundings. They'd probably just have ended up distracting her anyway. Her hand reached into the pocket of her coat, and she took out the same acceptance slip she had shown to the Captain earlier.
- "Excuse me... Captain Antilles sent me to talk to Saiya, it's about my training."
She put the slip on the desk, and waited for whatever was going to happen next.
Padmé - April 1, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
Two guards approached Jin-Ho and took the acceptance slip from her hand.
"Just one moment!"
The guard spoke into his com-link: "Send Saiya here...There is someone to see her here."
A few minutes later a girl arrived, dressed in a satin, pink and blue cloak. She looked as though she was only 16 herself.
"Are you Jin-Ho? Captain Antilles told me you would come here. I would have waited for you to arrive, but my duty called me away for a few minutes."
Saiya handed her a white, blue cloak and gown.
"This is the gown of a handmaiden in training on Alderaan...Most planets do no have this tradition, but due to our history, even handmaidens in training are respected."
Jin-ho - April 1, 2007 08:37 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded, and carefully took the garment from Saiya. She was then led to a place with several stalls, and changed into her new robes in one of them. When she emerged, she found that the robes fit (almost) perfectly, and shrugged it off as her measurements being in her bio-file. Still, she was impressed with the result, in the short time they knew she'd be coming.
- "Umm... okay, i think i got everything right now..."
She emerged from the stall, looking at herself in one of the nearby mirrors. She had tried to copy the way Saiya wore her robes as much as possible, but much as could be expected there were some minor errors she had made. A loose fold here, a small detail there... Nothing blatant, though her inexperience at wearing the Handmaiden's garments was showing.
Also, the white and black formed a sharp contrast with her hair and eyes, emphasizing each other quite strongly. She found it looked rather nice, all things considered, even though she figured she'd probably stand out less wearing red and black.
Padmé - April 2, 2007 11:37 AM (GMT)
Saiya looked at Jin-Ho and nodded, she felt her robe was arranged well, especially for someone who was a first timer.
"Now I should tell you...... You will be trained here on Alderaan but once your training is complete, your details and image will be sent to all of the Royal Households throughout the galaxy. If they find a decent match for you, then you will be accepted. But most likely you will begin here."
They both walked along the grand hallways of the Palace as the sunlight flickered through the windows.
"This course, more than anything takes time, and we must all be patient to see it through to completion. But as a trainee, I have a small task for you. The Queen is going to be taking a visit to Naboo with her daughter, Senator Leia Organa. She will be expected to have an audience with the Queen of Naboo herself. It is custom to take a gift of gratitude, and one that reflects the culture and spirit of Alderaan....... I would like you to search any part of Alderaan you wish, for a gift that you think would be perfect for this occassion. You do not have to worry about money, any price of the gift will be covered by us."
"I know this may seem like a small task, but it will prove your skills of resourcefullness."
Jin-ho - April 2, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho whistled as she heard her first assignment as a Handmaiden. True, choosing a gift seemed simple enough, but one fit for a Queen, and reflecting the culture of Alderaan at that... She'd definetely need to read up on the subject a bit. After all, she'd only moved there from Dathomir a few weeks ago...
- "Umm... I think i'll go to the library then, to see if i can get some inspiration there. Could i use the Palace library for it, or would i need to go to the public one?"
She suspected the library would have many books on the subject she was looking for, being, well, the Royal Library and all. The public library located in the city center would work as well, but she figured it would be much less specialised in it's choice of books.
- "Oh... and is there a list of previous gifts i could have? I don't want to end up buying the same things by accident." ^^;
Padmé - April 3, 2007 12:00 PM (GMT)
"The Library in the palace is only a part of Viceroy Organa's office and cannot be entered, so I would try a public one. I would go to
this place. It has almost all the details of the known galaxy. See if you can find anything there. More importanly though, use your imagination. It does not have to be the richest or the most elaborate gift in all of Alderaan. It merely has to be unique. There is another benefit. When you select one that is perfect, you will be permitted to present it to Queen Breha herself, and she will inspect it. Depending on her reaction to the gift will also determine your next step as a handmaiden....... Good luck Jin-Ho, I look forward to seeing you again"
Saiya bowed slightly, and returned to her duties in the palace.
Jin-ho - April 3, 2007 09:25 PM (GMT)
[Finding the Gift]The next day, Jin-ho was back at the Palace, though now wearing her 'regular' Handmaiden-in-Training robes again. There were still a few mistakes in the way she wore the garment, but they appeared less this time, the only real consistant errors being in the cloak. She still needed to get used to it, and it kept feeling as if it tried to pull her back by her shoulders, but she ignored it.
Walking up to the receptionist, she smiled at the nearby Guards.
- "Hello, could i speak to Saiya again, please?" ^_^
She didn't know if the painting she had bought would be delivered the same day -- it probably would, both because of its expirable nature as well as the buyer having been the Royal Palace. Still, she was eager to find out what Saiya thought of her choice...
Padmé - April 4, 2007 12:12 PM (GMT)
After a few minutes, Saiya appeared in a long blue cloak.
"Jin-Ho, it's a pleasure to see you again. A Moss Painting arrived for us today, it did not take long for me to guess who was behind it. Wonderful job. It's simply beautiful, and an unusual but eligant gift for the Queen of Naboo. But of course, I do not have the final say with this...."
Saiya, fixed a few of the flaws on Jin-Ho's gown.
"Perfect...... Come with me...... You are to meet Queen Breha Organa. She has been inspecting the painting for some time now..... It is her who will make the final decision....."
They had a long walk through the palace. Though from the outside it held itself amongst the modern buildings of Coruscant, inside was filled with beautiful posessions from ages long since past.
They walked up a few steps, and suddenly the hall opened up into a large black marble chamber, with tall silber windows, and a large throne perched in the centre of those windows.
There sat Queen Breha, with her kind features flickering, she still gazed at the painting. Princess Leia, the newly elected Senator, was standing beside her mother, although she did not seem so interested in the "false appreciations" between Royals.
As Queen Breha saw Saiya and Jin-Ho enter the room, she stood and walked to them.
"Thank you Saiya...... So you are Jin-Ho? A pleasure..... You have quite startlingly beautiful eyes..... Very unusual..... Sorry to be blunt but I feel compliments she be given where deserved, no matter the occassion....."
The 3 women walked to the painting.
"This paitning....... I've not seen one like this in a long time..... What inspired you to buy this? I know you were given the task to find something that reflects our culture, so why did you chose this?"
The Queen spoke as she turned to Jin-Ho
Jin-ho - April 4, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho smiled as Saiya appeared, feeling slightly embarrassed under the unexpected praise. When she was told to meet the Queen however, her eyes widened slightly, looking around to see if her tutor would be making a joke of some kind.
She wasn't, though, and despite her nervousness on whether or not the gift she picked would be liked -- Saiya believed it was good, right? -- she followed closely behind the Handmaiden, eventually ending up in the Queen's throne room. To Jin-ho, it felt as if her heart was trying to beat it's way out of her chest.
"Thank you Saiya...... So you are Jin-Ho? A pleasure..... You have quite startlingly beautiful eyes..... Very unusual..... Sorry to be blunt but I feel compliments she be given where deserved, no matter the occassion....."
- "Ah... Thanks, mi-- Your Highness! And yeah, my dad says i have my mother's eyes, and--"
Jin-ho shut up the second she realised she was babbling. She took a couple of deep breaths trying desperately not to start hyperventilating from being complimented by a Queen. When the painting brought on another compliment, the young girl started to feel a bit light in her head.
- "The painting? Well, i ah... I... I umm..." :o
She crouched, then lost her balance and sat down on the marble floor, only managing to prevent rolling on her back by supporting herself with her hand. The cold marble felt like a welcome change -- she felt as if she were about to catch fire.
- "...I need to catch my breath..." :ph43r:
Padmé - April 4, 2007 06:38 PM (GMT)
Queen Breha and Saiya quickly kneeled down to her as she fell to the ground.
"Are you alright?" Breha exclaimed.
"Please, take your time, and you have no need to be nervous. No one will bite your head off" She smiled as she continued.
"I am extremely happy with the painting, I'm just interested in why you picked it"
Jin-ho - April 5, 2007 12:43 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho took a few deep breaths, trying to keep herself from hyperventilating. Even though her fall had been accidental, the marble floor certainly was helping to cool her down, and thanks to Queen Breya and Saiya, she was back on her feet in no time.
- "...Heh, thanks. Guess i got a little too nervous with meeting a Queen, and all the praise i got over the painting and all... I'm okay now though, thanks." ^^;
After one last deep breath to make sure she had indeed regained some amount of composure, she nodded to herself before replying to the Queen's question.
- "Right. When i was in the library, i read that Alderaan was renowned for its moss paintings. They need extremely purified water to keep them looking good, but since Naboo is a water planet i figured it wouldn't be much of a problem either, making it fairly easy to maintain as well."
She looked past Saiya at the painting again, and a small smile appeared on her face as she spoke.
- "As for why i chose this one... Well, my mother would have called it 'The beauty of imperfection.' I mean... something perfect might be better looking, but it's small errors that people can identify themselves with, making it more 'human', closer to the ones that look at it."
The smile turned into an embarassed grin, her hands folded in front of her as she tried to make herself shorter.
- "At least, that's what i think. My dad always said i took after my mom." ^^;
Padmé - April 5, 2007 07:56 PM (GMT)
The Queen smiled to Jin-Ho.
"I would like to invite you to come with us to Naboo, to help me in presenting this to Queen Kylantha.... I hope you will not let your nerves stop you from coming with us..... It would be such a pity...."
Saiya spoke into Jin-Ho's ear.
"This is an amazing honor, it took me many months before I was allowed to travel with the rest when I was in training"
Princess Leia stepped forward to speak.
"You will love Naboo, it's like no other planet in the galaxy"
Jin-ho - April 5, 2007 08:12 PM (GMT)
- "Yay! Err, i mean thank you, your Highness." ^__^
The wide grin on Jin-ho's face when she heard the Queen invite her was starting to hurt her cheeks, but she kept grinning anyway. Not that she'd have a choice: she didn't think a charging rancor could have gotten her to stop. When the Princess stepped forward to talk to her as well, she smiled at her as well.
- "Thanks, i'm looking forward to seeing it as well... From what i've read, it sounds like a beautiful place."
Her smile faded slightly as a hint of surprise started to shine through. She leaned over to Saiya, whispering something in her ear in return.
- "Umm... miss Saiya? Since i'm still only a few days in training... What would i be expected to do there?" ^^;
Padmé - April 5, 2007 09:02 PM (GMT)
"Don't worry, I will be going as well. You will act as we act. Stay focused and always aware of your surroundings. And most important of all, the Queen and Princess must stay safe. But I'm sure we do not need to worry of any unpleasant occurances."
Saiya looked back to the Queen and nodded, showing that they were both fine with the arrangement. Then the Queen spoke:
"Then it's settled. We will leave the day after tomorrow"
Padmé - April 11, 2007 04:40 PM (GMT)
Saiya sat and waited for Jin-Ho to arrive. All the arrangements were now made for the visit to Naboo. The Palace was bustling with life. Everyone was excited about the visit, whether they had been to Naboo before or not.
Jin-ho - April 11, 2007 06:18 PM (GMT)
Shortly afterwards, Jin-ho walked into the Palace through the large ornamented doors. Even though she had only started her Handmaiden training a few days ago, the sight that had kept drawing her attention in wonder was starting to become familiar. Amazing what one could get used to, given time...
Still, the bustle and exited gossiping in the Palace reception room kept her thoughts from trailing off, and as she told the receptionist that she had arrived, she then stepped aside for the next person in line, leaning back against a pillar as she waited for Saiya to come and pick her up.
Padmé - April 11, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
"Jin-Ho! Sorry if you were left waiting so long but Captain Antilles was waiting for one of his students to get back to him, but we have to press on without him.... Are you all packed and ready to leave? We will only be gone a matter of days but it is always good to be prepared"
Jin-ho - April 11, 2007 09:16 PM (GMT)
- "Oh no, don't worry about it, i just got here." ^^;
Jin-ho raised her hands apologetically, in an attempt to put her tutor more at ease... Though that would probably not have much effect, given that everything else in the Palace seemed to be kicked into high gear as well.
- "Yup, i don't need to prepare much for traveling... Goes with being a merchant's daughter, i guess." ;)
She turned around, revealing a small duffel bag slung over her shoulder. Her travel packs had always been a tad minimalistic, with only a small book or two in it at most. Although holodiscs were relatively easier to carry around, she preferred written copies, the words in them being much more open to the reader's interpretation than a holographic scene was.
Padmé - April 13, 2007 05:36 PM (GMT)
Saiya seemed nervous and hurried.
"Alright, we now must enter the Queen's starship, they are already onboard. The trip will take a few days and it will allow you to practice with your skills. You may also have the opportunity to speak with the Queen herself, but it depends on her own duties."
They begin to walk along with the bussle of people that are swarming with items onto the beautiful golden starship.
"There are not many people coming on this visit..... There is the Queen, Princess Leia, The Queen's brother Captain Antilles, 6 handmaidens including you and myself and 4 security guards...... It may seem alot at first but the Queen has been known to need beyond 50 persons to help her..... But this visit is to be kept as low as possible..... The people of Naboo do not know of our arrival....."
She looks to Jin-Ho,
"It's not that it is a secret, but the times we live in cause for us to be more careful....."
They both walk inside the starship, it is a gleaming wonder to the eyes.
They prepare themselves for a long journey.....

Jin-ho - May 27, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
[Royal Visit to Naboo]Jin-ho stretched out as she took a deep breath of Alderaan air again. It was a welcome change after the artificially filtered air in the spaceship, which was rather stale when compared to the real thing. Either way, it was good to be back home again.
She looked behind her to the others disembarking the ship. The visit had went according to plan, without any problems, but there were still things she wanted to take care of, one of which was something that had come up on the ship, when she had first recieved her blaster.
It felt odd, thinking about the weapon. She had gotten somewhat used to having it now, still tucked safely away in her pocket... Too bad that didn't mean she could actually shoot straight to save her life -- no pun intended. Spotting Captain Antilles disembarking the ship, she went over to the older man again.
- "Umm... Captain? Sorry to bother you about the blaster again, but now that we're back... Would you know who to talk to to get some basic training in using the thing?" ^^;
Padmé - May 27, 2007 06:40 PM (GMT)
"Of course..... but not here...... I will be at the Protection service training area in an hour..... I will meet you there and we can begin with your training....."
Jin-ho - May 27, 2007 06:56 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho nodded, brushing a strand of hair from her face nervously. Suddenly, she remembered the gun didn't have a safety switch on it, and the thought didn't exactly make her feel more at ease, especially considering the alternative -- walking around with the weapon in hand -- wouldn't generally be considered a good idea either,
- "Right then... Ehmm..."
Picking up the small bag containing spare clothes and toiletries she had taken along for the trip, she headed back to her locker, stuffing the bag into it for future use in the Palace. Accidents could happen, even there, and keeping a spare set handy came in useful, or so she liked to think.
It provided a nice distraction from her original worries about the gun, anyway.
[Protection Services Training]
Padmé - June 13, 2007 02:45 PM (GMT)
In the shadows of the Grand Hall, a white cloaked figure stood patiently waiting for Jin-Ho's arrival, although it was unclear who was actually waiting for her....
Jin-ho - June 15, 2007 12:50 PM (GMT)
[Protection Services training]Jin-ho stopped several feet short of the entrance to the reception room. There were generally a couple of people walking around in there, and it wouldn't do to show up slamming into someone just for the sake of trying to get the hang of her stealthy running techniques again. Taking a couple of deep breaths so as not to appear out of breath, she calmly walked into the room, looking around to see anyone she recognised that would have called for her.
- "Umm... you sent for me?"
Looking around at some of the people that were waiting on someone -- there never seemed to be a shortage of those -- she more or less asked the question in general, not really knowing who to address. There was a white cloaked person there, as well as representatives from who knows where, but she just waited patiently for one of them to come to her.
Padmé - June 15, 2007 03:03 PM (GMT)
Suddenly, a hand pulled a little on Jin-Ho's shoulder. When she turned she saw that the person waiting for her was none other than Senator and Princess Leia Organa. The white hood was still raised to hide her identity from others, which seemed rather unusual.
"Please, come this way.... We need to speak in private..."
They turned to one of the corners and stood next to one of the large windows of the palace, away from the listening ears of others.
"I'm sorry to meet like this, but it is..... Of great importance..... I'm in need of... A helper.... There are not many people I can trust.... But I was watching you when we were on assignment to Naboo.... You are new and unsure of yourself, but I think you have so much potential....."
Leia hide her face as a few people walked past and on to the rest of the palace. She then continued,
"I..... I am about to leave on a mission to Dantooine.... It..... It is not to have any.... Imperial involvements.... And it does not involve the Royal Courts of Alderaan.... Or any other..... This is something.... Completely different..... But we need not speak of it.... Not yet......... I need an escort.... A decoy..... Someone who will be able to disguise as me so that I can escape from the watching eyes of others......"
She looked to Jin-Ho, who was still saying nothing and merely listening.
"Well... Before I continue, I think it is best that I allow you to ask questions..... I know this is all sudden and out of the blue...."
Jin-ho - June 16, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
Jin-ho blinked, somewhat alarmed at the worry in Princess Leia's voice. She looked surprised at the mention of being a decoy, and she couldn't help but let her gaze wander to the cloaked woman's brown hair and equally brown eyes...
Feeling uncomfortable, her hand went up to her own red locks, looking rather upset... She didn't want to turn Leia down, yet... there was something bothering her a great deal.
- "Umm... How would the... you know, the disguise work? Would it be... permanent?"
The truth was, she was afraid. Her mother had died when she was still too young to remember her, but from older images she knew to have inherited her eyes. Regardless of the Handmaiden to be about half a foot taller than Princess Leia, the one thing that worried her most was that the disguise process would involve genetically altering her eye color, and with it the only link that tied her to her deceased mother.
- "I'd love to help you... It's just that i'm rather... attached to my eye color, and i don't know a thing about how this works..." ._.
Padmé - June 16, 2007 02:46 PM (GMT)
Leia smiled, "Don't worry, it won't require any physical changes for you. But we will have to dress in the same attire. All of Alderaan will witness my leaving this planet, and my supposed destination is Coruscant, but as I said, I must travel to Dantooine..... Come with me...."
They walked over to a corner room just off the Reception Room that was secured by a lock that Leia had a key for. Inside were old cabinets and cupoboards. It looked like an old study, or perhaps a place merely to keep older cherished furniture that did not have place elsewhere in the palace.
Leia walked over to one of the cabinets, opening it and lifting out a black shiny box. She opened it and inside lay a beautiful white and red dress made of silk. Along with it were shoes, headwear, make up and other various accessories.
"I selected this specifically with you in mind. The headdress will cover your hair while you are wearing it, the only thing you will need to do is to darken your eyebrows and eyelashes..... Trust me, I am still relatively unknown, especially on Coruscant. Just this once, no one will notice the difference......."
She handed the box to Jin-Ho.
"I'm sorry to ask such a thing of you, but I assure you, you will in no way come into any danger..... I will be sending with you 10 of my guards, as well as Captain Antilles who will lead the mission...... All you are required to do is attend a Senate session...... You will not need to make any statements, announcements or anything of the sort...... All you have to do is be there......... Also, once the Senate meeting is over, you will of course have the opportunity to explore the planet a little before you return..... My guards will assist you in anyway possible.... I wouldn't send you all the way there just to sit and do nothing..." She smiled a little, hoping so much that Jin-Ho would accept the task.
Jin-ho - June 17, 2007 12:57 PM (GMT)
The tension visibly left Jin-ho's face as she heard there wouldn't be any physical alterations. Relieved, she followed the Senator to what appeared to be an old storage room, and the young Handmaiden couldn't help but look around at the various things that were stored there. When Leia took the dress out of its box however, Jin-ho could only stare at it in amazement. She blinked, snapping herself out of it in time to hear the instructions she was being given.
- "Uhh... Sure, Princess. I'd be umm... honored to?" ^_^
More or less struggling through what she thought was the correct way to accept the mission, she ended up with a half-salute before changing it into something vaguely resembling a curtsy, then standing up straight and simply nodding.
- "Oh! One more thing... Could i get a list of the current Alderaan policy, just in case i am asked a few questions? It'd give me something to do on the trip over there, at least." ^^;
Padmé - June 17, 2007 01:50 PM (GMT)
"Of course, I will have it sent to you as soon as I can..... Right, the plan is that 'I' or should I say, we, leave tomorrow..... We will be travelling in my father's ship, the Tantive IV...... I will be leaving in the afternoon, but you will need to board the ship at least an hour before I get there.... I would weat this outfir I have given you, but wear a cloak over it, just incase anyone sees you enter, they will merely think you are an assistant...... I will arrive and board the ship, and all on Alderaan will witness it...... That's as much as I need to tell you for now, we will discuss the rest of the plan when we are aboard the ship......"
She begins to feel a little nervous and look around for anyone listening.
"Right, I need to be leaving now..... I will leave first, but I would wait a few minutes before you leave, make sure no one sees you...... I am very grateful that you are doing this for me...... I will make sure you are more than rewarded for your bravery...."
She bows a little to Jin-Ho, before rushing out of the room.
OOC: When you are ready to board the Tantive IV, you will find it in the Galactic Territories section...... All of the arrival, leaving Alderaan etc can be written there :)
Jin-ho - June 18, 2007 05:47 PM (GMT)
As requested, Jin-ho waited a few minutes before leaving. Though it needs to be said that that wasn't all too hard for the girl, as the various items in the storeroom had proven to be more than enough to catch her attention. When she finally left again, about half an hour after Leia, she made sure no one was in the corridor when she slipped out, closing the door behind her again, a certain small box held firmly under her arm.
After a brief stop to change into fresh Handmaiden garb -- there had been a lot of dust in that room -- she went over to the Tantive IV to board it, the dress and black box safely stored in her personal baggage. She'd change into the dress and headpiece later on, but in case of an emergency she'd always be able to revert to her Handmaiden self again if there would be danger of her being found out.
As the ship stopped trembling, a sign that the Tantive IV had left Alderaan's atmosphere, Jin-ho looked out of the portside window in her room. Leia's notes were in front of her, and she studied as best she could to get the topics memorised...
[Tantive IV]
Ayanna Nyx - July 2, 2007 01:17 PM (GMT)
The skies and streets of Alderaan were filled with cheers as the Tantive IV finally landed back at the palace. Many had come to welcome the Princess and Bail Organa back to the Palace.
After a small round through the crowds, they finally made their way into the palace. There were many helpers and servants running to and fro, taking all of the posessions from the Tantive IV and placing them at their appointed places in the palace.
Leia was escorted off to one of her chambers, to prepare herself for the days ahead. She would need to go to Coruscant herself and take a look at what had happened the night of the intruder at the apartments.
Jin-ho - July 2, 2007 03:54 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho descended from the ramp as well, wearing her Handmaiden robes. Even though she was a Corporal now, the promotion hadn't yet been made official, as it still required the necessary formalities concerning which part exactly she was supposed to lead under Captain Antilles. Thus, she still acted as if she was a Handmaiden, which, in a way, felt right anyhow.
In stead of joining in the festivities, Jin-ho went back to her room to contact her cousin on the terminal in it. Much had happened since the last time she had the chance to talk to her, and to be honest... she had missed her.
After the call, she'd head out to the reception room again in case she'd be needed, or simply to try to get a hold of Captain Antilles for some training, and getting settled into her new job.
Ayanna Nyx - July 2, 2007 10:37 PM (GMT)
Suddenly, a group of guards accompanied by Captain Antilles walked into the reception room. They were carrying heavy blasters which seemed unusual. Antilles walked over to Jin-Ho,
"Are you alright M'Lady? Ready to start work?"
Jin-ho - July 2, 2007 10:42 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho noticed the group of guards walk in, led by Captain Antilles himself. It was a bit of a surprise seeing the weapons they wore on them were heavier than the ones the Handmaidens carried, yet she quickly dismissed that, knowing full too well she had been given the same DL-44 model as the guards' sidearms.
- "Uhh... sure. As soon as i know what 'work' is supposed to be now..." ^^;
Ayanna Nyx - July 2, 2007 10:49 PM (GMT)
"Well, it will be your job to help me oversee the security of this palace as well as accompany the Royal Family on visits, and also, you will help train newcomers..... You have almost the authority I do.... You can practice your skills, patrol the perimeter...... But you also have more freedom to explore the planet......"
Jin-ho - July 2, 2007 11:03 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho thought about what she heard for a bit. At the core of it, being in the Royal Guard wasn't all that different from being a Handmaiden, it seemed, only that as an officer, she was given more freedom to do as she wished in comparison. Still, there was something else she'd been wanting to ask her commanding officer.
- "Umm... speaking of training, we never got around to finishing that blaster course you had me start out on..." ^^;
After all, she couldn't really be expected to train new recruits if she had no skill of her own in mastering the weapons available to her.
Ayanna Nyx - July 3, 2007 12:37 AM (GMT)
"Well, there is nothing better than practice...... Go to the training facility.... There you can use the many different training ground..... There are 4 levels in blaster combat. You should attempt the first, which involves shooting at hologram images, you have done something like that before...... If you can score above 50 target strikes in 1 minute, then we can progress to the next level...... Come back here once you have completed the first level, bring a datapad of your results, all your attempts....."
He smiled and walked a little with her, but preparing himself to return to his duty,
"If you have any more questions, then you know where to find me...... I see you have gained a new blaster, I would practice with that, you will find it is more powerful than the previous hold-out blaster you had...."
Jin-ho - July 3, 2007 12:20 PM (GMT)
Jin-ho looked at the heavy blaster, trying to recall what the information she had called up on that model had said. Due to the heavier output, it was only good for about fifty shots before it ran out of power, but at the lowest possible setting, she should be able to afford a couple of misses... Which were pretty much inevitable, at her level of skill.
- "Okay, will do... Guess i'll see you when i complete the first level, then." ^^;
She fought down the urge to hold the weapon, too aware of where she was at that moment. She'd save that part for the shooting range.

Kalin Thalis - July 13, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
Kalin was taken under the care of the royal guards of Alderaan to the Princess. Ayanna walked behind her pretending to be his handmaiden, while at this time it was no need to cover things up anymore. The cover was blown for him though Antilles still had no clue who Kalin was, but it scared him what he knew, that much was sure. Kalin sensed it...Ayanna surely too.
"I like you to calm down, Captain...I am here with the best intentions...I am here to sort things out in exchange for...a little information...which I assure you won't be leaked as long as the princess stays honest with me...if everything goes right, both me her and Jin-Ho can benefit from this...I'll explain later why she is involved in this too..."
Looking around in the palace, it surely was an amazing sight to see, beautifullly decored columns...New art combined with old...modern and classic combined...nature and technology combined. It was like in perfect harmony unlike the academy on Korriban.
