The caves are filled with energy spiders or spice spiders. Thy are arachnids which live in complete darkness inside the mine's caves spinning webs made of glitterstim, a rare kind of spice. The spiders would impale their victims and then quickly suck the life energy from them. They are one of the many threats faced by the spice miners, especially those who wander too deep into the caves where the spiders live

With the combination of glitterstim and ryll, the energy spiders would produce glitteryll and grow to large sizes. Glitteryll is known to decrease its user's memories. Ryll, discovered around 4,800 BBY and mined on the planet, is a relatively weak form of spice used to create a number of medicines used throughout the Galaxy. It is also smuggled into the Corporate Sector for illegal sale to the workers. As with any recreational substance, ryll has the potential to be very addictive and dangerous. Ryll kor is also a type of ryll, used primarily for medical purposes.

Many hours had passed, and Ayanna's party of four was now of 2. Ayanna couldn't help but smile at the thought of Tol Secura checking the HoloNet for new servants.

The caves were are terrifying as they were dazzling. With the little light they had, everything was of blackness and rough areas of dark grey, but Ayanna could see perfectly.

Around a corner she saw a figure, the servant beside her jumped.

"Who.... Who's that!" The man shouted.

Ayanna "tutted" annoyed, and pushing him back.

"Who's there....." She said seriously, looking at the figure that lay sitting in a corner, as sneaky as one of the spiders they had encountered.

The dark figure rose to his feet. The cracks on the ceiling poured the little morning sunlight there was onto his face. He looked unkept and dirty, wearing a torn and moth eaten cloak.

"I.... I.... Don't know..... Who I am..... Why?..... What are you doing here?.......... People think I am Anakin Skywalker........ But I don't know if that's true...... I've been here so long........ It's been a while that I encounted..... A woman......"

He was shivering, he felt afraid cause this was an unexpected event.

In an instant, Ayanna grabbed the back of the servants neck and snapped it. He fell to the ground with a hard, muddy thud.

"I've been looking for you..... I have some questions......"

She stood into the light with him where he could see her face properly. Her skin began to glow again and her hair because light, and her eyes green.

"What do you remember before you were here...."

"What I remember?........"

He began to think back of several battles in the Clone Wars, he was fighting with his fellow Jedi, as a General. But then something happened, something happened to the Clones.

"They turned on us..... They betrayed us....."

"They?...... Who are they?" Ayanna pushed her hand to him.

"My troopers..... They betrayed me..... I was leading a battle and when we won they turned on me and tried to kill me..... I barely escaped and found sanctuary here on Ryloth...... You're a Jedi too, aren't you......"

He held her by her hand.

"I can feel it in you..... The force is strong in you..... But I do sense the Dark Side, it's growing......... Do not let the dark cover the light...... Or you will be doomed....."

Then his hand started to shiver. And he took it back from hers.

"You're not Skywalker, I now know you're not.... I felt it too..... In your skin...... But you can still be of some use...... What was your name, and more importantly, do you remember anything of Skywalker, I need to find him....."

She became more threatening

He felt the Dark Side growing in her. And turned.

"No, I don't know my own name...... In all these years, I have forgotten it...... That is the will of the Force...... Anakin Skywalker?...... News spread that he returned with his Master to the Temple, the Jedi were ambushed there, all killed. So he must be dead too, there were no survivors...."

Her mouth twisted in anger, as she realised she was now going to have to return to Coruscant once again, and find a way to infiltrate the Jedi Temple, and find out finally, hopefully, the true destiny of Skywalker.

"Right......... Then I need to return to the Jedi Temple...... I was there once..... A few days ago.... But I admitt, I lost my nerve....... Cause you are wrong old man..... I am not a Jedi...... But I do carry a Jedi's weapon......"

She picked up the purple decorated lightsaber from her pocket.

"It's as useful to me as a stick at the moment...... It was...... My grandmothers......"

The man was startled when he saw Ayanna's weapon and hearing her words.

"That weapon...... It belonged to An'ya Kuro.... She always prefered to be called The Dark Woman..... I never really understood why...... She is your grandmother? Is she alive?"

He tried to reach for the weapon as his curiosity grew, if more Jedi survived......

Ayanna was quiet, she felt humbled for the first time in so long.

"She was murdered....... I never knew her........ And incase you are wondering, no she never broke the rule of no attachment...... Well not really...... My mother had no father....... An'ya created her through the will of the force, the plants and her own blood...... That is where my connection with her comes from....... My mother was Adanna Kuro...... I am Ayanna Nyx..... I had a father...... My mother told me, I must avenge the one who killed An'ya Kuro, and for me to do that, I must find Skywalker...... He is my only link to this mystery......"

The man was thinking if he should help her. This girl wasn't really evil, she seemed more misguided.

"Your grandmother was a Jedi...... Jedi never seek revenge...... This is not what your grandmother would've wanted...... I'm trying to speak to you now, not as a Jedi, but as a friend..... I knew people who walked the Dark path and only a few returned from it. I beg you......Do not walk the same path...... This is certainly not what your grandmother would've wanted either..... Respect that........"

She stayed quiet, and for a moment, she shook, but gathered herself once again.

"I have to leave here now....... I doubt our paths will cross again...... Although, I have to admit, it was comforting to meet someone who knew An'ya....."

She began to leave slowly, feeling uneased by the encounter she had had.

"Wait........ Take me with you..... I have problems to solve of my own...... Maybe together we can help ourselves in solving the mysteries that blind us...... I can be of great help to you...."

She turned to him with a sarcastic smile.

"Sorry but you're old enough to be my...... ancestor! I think I will pass...... You will slow me down..... And I need to return to the Jedi Temple immediately...."

She turned from him once again

"But I can be of great help to you...... Ican help you weild that lightsaber..... I can help you in learning the ways of the Force...... Powers that will only increase your own natural abilities..... Which would surely come in handy in your quest....."

The man tried to seduce her by talking of power. He noticed before she was really tempted by it. But the reason he wanted to stay with her was not just to be her teacher but also be a guide to the light. It would be his last gift to his friend An'ya Kuro.....

She stood thinking, hanging on every word he said. Her eyes darted around as she thought over everything.

"Alright, but if you slow me down..... I will leave you behind..... I need to do this for my mother....."

The man nodded.

"I understand"

She was a little confused and frustrated.

"But we need to think of a name for you before we find out who you truly are...... I can't just shout 'hey you' all the time..... I'll name you after a flower on our planet........ Kreio....... It's the only flower that stays in bloom all year long, and can even survive the winter months....."

Kreio smiled with his new name..... And followed her as they left the terrible caves.

Taves found the TIE outside the caverns. He was relieved by this as he had heard stories about the horrors that the cave contained. He inspected the fighter and was slightly relieved to see that it was in good shape. The good side of this was that he didn't have to call in to Mandalore for money. The bad news was that the person who had driven it here was probably not far away and might make an attempt at escape. Taves entered the cockpit and used the transmission device. He sent an update message to Mandalore informing Fett that he had discovered the TIE and it was in good shape. He was able to get in touch with Fett to see what he knew. "Do we have any leads as to who this guy might be with?"

"No" Boba Fett spoke in the hologram, "The Empire has given us no identification of this individual. But there is a possible description we found. It seems that some Twi'leks spotted a person who was in a pilots uniform and was suspiciously in a rush.... So that could be the guy we are looking for..... But we have no information on where he could be now....."

Fett's appearance disappeared from the holo-projection.

Taves went into thought as Fett's image faded away. He didn't see anyone fitting that description in the hotel. Of course someone like that would want to keep a low profile. Taves contemplated what to do next. He had the ship but he still needed to find the prisoner as well as tow this ship back to Mandalore. He knew the folly of driving back to Mandalore in this ship. Taves decided to start a scan of the surrounding area to see if the pilot had returned. When he was outside of the ship he climbed up a rock face. He had set the ship with a slight power-up delay so that if the pilot got in the ship first, Taves would have time to get to the ship before it took off.

He waited there for about a day and by the afternoon of the second he was convinced that the pilot wasn't going to return any time soon. Suddenly a blaster bolt hit just in front of the rock face. Taves rolled back and unholstered his pistol. Laying flat on the rock face he saw the pilot about one hundred yards away. Taves opened fire on the pilot trying to drive him away from the shuttle. The pilot took cover behind a nearby boulder. Taves took this opportunity to slide down a nearby slope, and close in on the pilot. He hid behind the ramp of the TIE. The pilot made a run for the ship, but didn't expect Taves to jump out from behind his hiding place. Both fired at the other, knocking each blaster out of the others hands.

At this point Taves charged the pilot, knocking him to the ground. He tried to keep him down, but the pilot knocked his feet out from under him. Taves and the pilot got up from the ground, exchanging a flurry of blows. Taves saw no end in sight until he saw his Gaderffii lying on the ground. He tried to reach it, but was blocked by the pilot. When he swung a blow at Taves' head Taves grabbed his arm, and flung him in the opposite direction. Taves reached the Gaderffii, and held its blade to the pilot's neck. "Don't move" said Taves. "Who are you and who do you work for." The pilot kept his silence. "Fine" said Taves "I'm not an expert at torture, but I'm willing to try my hand." "Wait" said the pilot "my name's Rylon Jothran. As to who I work for you'll never get it out of me" "Fair enough" said Taves "your name is all I was really looking for. I should be able to find out the rest with it." With these words Taves knocked him out with the blunt end of the Gaderffii. Going to the entrance of the nearby cave he got some spider webs and firmly tied Jothran with them.

He knew now that all that stood between him and graduation was delivering Jothran and the ship.

Taves walked on the outskirts of the Spider Caves, looking for the area where he had fought at so long ago. He flew up the sharper plateus using the jetpack on his Mandalorian armor. The others he climbed. He looked and found the barren area where he had fought the Rebel pilot. The blaster marks were still on the ground. He looked at the ground and saw that the ground had been disturbed. Footprints that looked human led toward a cave nearby. Taves took out one of his pistols, knowing full well that even if the person inside the caves was harmless, the creatures weren't. He walked inside the cave and looked around at the crystals inside. He stooped down and looked at a few that were clustered together. Suddenly he heard some foot steps a few meters away. He looked and stood up straight up. "Do I address the Jedi I met on Coruscant?" he said.

A voice echoed back to him, "Yes...... Yes I remember you....... I did not think I would have the fortune.... Or misfortune to meet you again....... Why have you come here young man......"

The footsteps still echoed through the caves as the Jedi walked into the light, revealing more of his face. He looked to Taves with concern.

Taves was confused, the Jedi seemed like he had been through much since he had last met him on Coruscant, but he thought he would have remembered reaching out to him. A thought went through Taves head. Perhaps it had not been the Jedi who had called out to him. "I was under the impression that you had called out to me. When I was on Alderaan I received a vision that told me to come here. I assumed you wished to talk to me. I still wish to train in the ways of the Force so that I may help end this tyranny that wishes to enslave all in the Galaxy. I have silenced my inner demons and now wish to help others face their outward ones. Please, if you see fit I humbly wish to be your apprentice." Taves took off his helmet and kneeled

The Jedi sighed, he felt there was a genuine plead in his heart to learn the ways of the Jedi and help end the evil that was spreading through the galaxy like a disease,

"Very well...... The fact you have come through so much and come this distance to seek out your path..... I accept.... You will be my apprentice......" The Jedi looked around, "Does anyone know of my whereabouts in this place? Does any apart from you know?" The Jedi asked in concern.

Taves stood there, he was in disbelief. It had finally happened. He would be a Jedi. He put aside his current joy long enough to gather his thoughts. "Umm, only one person I know of has knowledge of my absence, and they know nothing of you or where I am. It's Captain Antilles of the Royal Guard on Alderaan. Is that something to worry about, Master?" this final address came to him rather strangely. He had a sort of joy in this submission to his new mentor. It was not like the submissions to hard task masters and shrewd businessmen Taves had made in the past. It was almost an effectual adoption of a father. Taves happiness bloomed inside of him like a flower.

He shook his head, "No.... Little known to others but Antilles along with Bail Organa have helped us Jedi in the past.... They are to be trusted... But not those around them.... The Emperor has a grasp on almost everything..... Almost...... None the less..... I suggest we find another system to hide.... Can you think of one that would be suitable?...." He said, wondering if Taves was as wise as he hoped he was.

Taves thought. If there were someplace for a Jedi to hide it would probably be out of the way. Possibly it would be some place where the Rebellion was. Taves thought, he hadn't heard anything more than rumors about where the Rebellion was. Suddenly something jumped out at him. "Well, master I have heard rumors, and I know rumors are merely the whispers of a fool. However I have met fools who are very reputable sources of information. I have heard that the Rebellion might be somewhere in the Dantooine system. I would guess there would be a safe haven there."

Something else jumped out at him. His speech sounded like the voice he had been hearing for months. It was almost as if that voice was the Force, which now spoke through him.

The Jedi nodded, "Very well then..... To Dantooine.... I know there is a Crystal Cave on that planet..... Some of the rarest crystals you can find...... Perhaps you can collect some for when you construct your first lightsaber....... But now is not the time to discuss these things..... I'm assuming that you have your own starship that we can leave on? If not, then we will have to acquire one quickly and quietly before leaving this place....... I do not want our whereabouts to be known..... Not at this time..... Things are changing in the universe, perhaps it is the will of the force itself..... However, I cannot tell if the change is for better or for worse..... Only time will tell......" He said, waiting to hear Taves' response about whether they had a starship to use.

Well, Taves knew the answer to that question immediately. "Unfortunately, I haven't acquired a starship of my own, but I am rather adept at acquiring them if need presses me to. However master, is it right for us to take a ship even in extenuating circumstances such as these, or should we try another way?" The one thing that Taves felt would be hardest in overcome as a Jedi would be sticking to the right path even if it meant risking his own skin. He would unquestioningly give his life for an innocent, that didn't bother him. However, his qualms toward illegal actions such as getting a ship in this case weren't as strong. It was still a small bit of baggage that he had left over from his bounty hunter days. He knew the skills that helped him do this were helpful, but the impulses, not so much.

"Well if we are unable to acquire a transport... The perhaps we could find a way to travel as refugees or stow away in a cargo ship of some kind.... But with the later it is more difficult..... Ryloth does not hold so many connections with Coruscant, considering it's tendencies..... But we could still check out in town..... Though, I need to find some other attire for myself..... If I am seen in these robes, we will be spotted instantly..... Come.... This way...." The Jedi spoke as he began to lead them out of the caves.

Taves wondered how his master was going to go about getting them a ship. 'Maybe' he thought 'he'll use a Jedi mind trick or something'. Just then something else ran through his mind. "Master, I've wondered this for some time. How does the Force work? I've heard of what Jedi are capable of doing with it, but how do they do it. I'm sorry if this is not the time, I just feel that now that the possibility is open to me there are so many questions I should be asking, despite the fact that we are trying to escape this planet. If the answer must wait then I will."

The Jedi smiled a little, it had been so long since a 'pupil' asked of him such questions, "How do we use the Force? Well the truth is, everyone does.... To a degree.... Just some are more attuned to it than others.... Those who are weak of the mind are likely to be unable to use it... But even those who do not train in Force abilities, but as mentally strong, will use it in their own ways.... Either for good or for evil..... A good example of this is with politicians... Though more often than not, they use it for worse..... Corruption... In time, you will learn to strengthen the basic skills you have... That all have.... You will learn to listen to the Force, hear it's bidding..... And once you master that, you can truly call yourself a Jedi Knight....."

He could see some faint light coming up ahead, though not of daylight at this time, but the Jedi knew that their 'safety' within the cave was coming to an end.

Taves saw the light ahead too. This didn't comfort him since he had arrived at the caves at night. Even without the Force he sensed that they were in danger. "Careful young one" he heard in his head. "You tread along a path that is as thin as a wire. Fear leads to Anger. Anger leads to Hate. Hate leads to the destruction of you and all that dwell in the path of light."

Taves heeded the words of the Force. He put away the fear within him and grabbed both of his pistols from their holsters, he was ready to defend the light. "Master" he said "should we be wary of what is outside of this cave? I am not as of yet greatly attuned to the Force, but I have a bad feeling about this."

He looked to Taves, "The Force is always with you.... And if you are concerned then it does mean we have to be extra careful.... I sense nothing, but that doesn't mean we should not be wary.... Perhaps what you feel is something elsewhere that will only effect your own path..... Be mindful of your feelings and the Force.... Always..... Come along...."

They finally made their way towards the town, though likely both were nervous about this move, but it was more dangerous to remain hidden in the shadows for the rest of time. They had to move elsewhere, and fast......
