The snowtroopers, also known as cold assault stormtroopers, are Imperial stormtroopers trained to operate in arctic climates. Some snowtroopers are deployed under Death Squadron's Blizzard Force, as well as other arctic forces.

The snowtroopers are the successors of the clone cold assault troopers under Clone Commander Keller.

Like Sandtroopers they train in harsh climates. Mostly they use the casual E-11 blaster rifles. But in team they are trained to wield the E-Web repeating blaster manufactured by BlasTech Industries.

It is one of the most powerful repeating blasters in the Imperial arsenal, and has an optimum range of two-hundred meters with a maximum range of five-hundred meters. It is originally known as an Emplacement Weapon, Heavy Blaster.
