I do not know if anyone has noticed this if you have Vista HP or Vista Pro but the past month every single time I log on Windows is constantly downloading updates and this is a major drag on the speed of my Broadband.

Some of these updates are almost 340MB in size and thats quite a download even on a fast modem speed. The other issue is, everytime they install its taking up your harddrive space and tbh its not a major thing but to download and install THREE software updates for Vista Pro in a week is just too much I think.

If they had made Vista better in the first place they would not have to keep on releasing patches and updates every week. I know I can turn them off but then you get winged at by Vista for having poor securtiy on your computer which is a pain.

I am waiting for my version of Windows 7 to ship but it wont be till mid of this month, and I really hope MS sort out the need to constantly update it <_<

Yeah i had the same issue
it was getting ridiculous
So i just set all the updates for a sunday.

Fortunatelly I installed Windows 7 two days ago ;)

And as fr now it seems to be pretty good. Its just a pity one program I use doesnt work as it should but its nothing big. And yeah, all updates I had to download didnt take much room on my disc and it all went quite fast.
