KEISHA BUCHANAN looks certain to beat her old band SUGABABES to chart success in America.
A couple of months before she quit the Babes Keisha recorded a song with British R&B star JAY SEAN, who has become massive in the United States.

The track, Far Away, features on his new album due for release later this year - and is a guaranteed hit.

Jay is currently No2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with single Down, featuring LIL WAYNE.

Sugababes have had no success across the pond.

They are hoping to crack it for the first time with the new line-up which includes Eurovision singer JADE EWEN.

London-born Jay has been Britain's most successful urban act in the US ever.

The Sun are hilarious. What a joke of a story and this is coming from someone who is rooting for Queen Keisha.

There is no way in hell that Jay Sean will release his duet with Keisha nor is there the guarantee that it will be a hit.

The only reason why Jay Sean is experiencing moderate success in America is because he had Lil Wayne. That fucking midget is everywhere and is ruining the music scene.

Excuse me but I don't consider THE SUN a reliable source at all. I could have invented that by my own too.

US record labels don't make a habit of releasing songs featuring completely unknown artists. Jay Sean is barely notable enough himself to get his songs released...never mind Keisha.

And, if this guy from the Sun really wants to start a shit match between Keisha and the new line-up, let's look at the real facts. I live in the US and I know what the music scene is like here. Right now, artists like Jay Sean and what I'm assuming Keisha will sound like solo are on the decline. We're moving out of the Hip-Hop/R&B era and transitioning more toward pop. Lady Gaga is all the rage. 90s-style pop music is what's in now. Plus, artists like Keisha are a dime a dozen...we have so many solo female artists right now that the market is saturated and Keisha - no matter how brilliant she may be - would probably not even get noticed. Sugababes, however, are different. We don't have many girl groups and we certainly don't have any like them. So, take the fact that their music is more suited to American tastes at the moment and the fact that they're something different and then let's debate who has a better chance at American success.
