If you have a personal achievement you have attained in life so far, and would like to share it with the forum then please post it below.

It can be anything that you are personally proud of - as it is your acheivement, so there is no wrong responses.

For me, it has got to be learning how to program a computer.
Since the age of 7 I was activly learning when my dad bought me a book on an old language called BASIC. I learnt very simple things at the start, and although I was young, I had a good grasp of it. In fact, this is the first one I ever wrote:

10 REM my name
20 REM Peter Watts
30 REM 2 November 1987
40 AUTO
50 PRINT "Peter"
60 ENDPROC
70 END

:P

Crap I know, but one I am probably the most proud of. I still maintained an active interest in the subject, and when I was 12 and entered secondary school I began to read about C - the language I am a proffessional in now.

By the time I was 16, I had chosen what I wanted to do in life, and in 1997 I started a course in proffesional computer programming which lasted a total of 10 years. During that course I learned so much, made some good friends and even found out what QWERTY actually stands for ha ha!

It was very challenging, but I think my biggest break came when I worked for Nintendo for six months - and I would love to work for them again one day, although any software development company would be nice to be honest.

I also learned so much more about what a computer is, and how powerful they really are. I am eternally greatful to everyone who taught me all I know, and would one day love to thank them all.

So there it is, my personal acheivement to date. Sorry for the novel, but there was a lot to explain. :)
